If you like nice rooms and a very trendie bar that has a retro feel you will really like it here. The furniture in the reception and bar are pieces of art in there own rights!

Great place to stay, rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Staff was very friendly and could speak english.

The rooms are not big but comfortable. The bathroom comes with shower, bathtube, nix mirror and Hair dryer. Everything was very today. Breakfast buffet was very huge and delicious. The staff is everytime very friendly and helpful. It was my 2nd stay there and I will come back next year again.

Good location, accessible by public transport. We were there for one night. In general, the hotel is modern and a little more spartan, but there is everything you need. The room and also the bathroom were very clean and due to the quiet location you can sleep at night. The staff is very friendly and attentive. In the evening we had a bite to eat at the bar. The menu is not overlong, but the food fresh and very tasty — long not eaten such good pizza. All in all we felt very comfortable and like to come back.

The location was really OKAY. You can go anywhere by train. The 4 star hotel is unfortunately not justified for me. The art-like design with bare concrete walls has made a dirty, unfinished impression for me, but maybe that's a matter of taste. Unfortunately, the staff is not well informed about allergens, which has made the stay with rather lavish breakfast difficult. The room was dusty, but the bathroom was clean. In terms of price, you can recommend it, but not if you focus heavily on the star rating.

The room is very spartan. For one night it goes. No longer. Not recommended as a couple. Spots, undefined and so accurate I didn't want to know any more.
Bar doesn't open until the evening! In the afternoon no service even during the World Cup! Breakfast was really good, I wouldn't have expected, hence the second star in the review. For the money there are much better hotels in Cologne.

Breakfast is okay and the Entrance Area is beautifully designed. Is Just outside. Room is rather simple. No Closet, just Wardrobe.

Good Breakfast, amazingly wide selection. Unfortunately very bad Coffee. Rooms are simple but nice, just unfortunately no longer in such a good Condition, a bit Of Mold in the Bathroom and dirty Walls. Still very clean.
Otherwise, the price ratio is right here.

Der Empfang war freundlich. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet. Es stehen viele Bett, Stuhl, Schreibtisch, Minibar, Garderobe sowie ein Badezimmer mit Dusche zur Verfügung. Das Bad ist mit vielen Handtüchern und Pflegeprodukten ausgestattet. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist wirklich reichhaltig. Neben Kaffee und Tee werden verschiedene Säfte angeboten. Es gibt Brötchen und verschiedene Belege und Aufstriche, acht Müslis und Cornflakes, Gemüse, Obst und vieles mehr. Und hat der Aufenthalt gut gefallen.

Well-located small hotel, ideal if you want to visit the Cologne Arena or eg the Cologne lights. Parking for free, the rooms clean, the reception very nice. At Art Hotel, everything is relatively spartan, but everything you need is there. Surely such belongs to the concept. We look forward to the next visit.

The young waiter in the evening was very friendly and smiling when we had a drink and ate. The food was also very good!
However big flat, there was work next to the hotel as early as 7am, which is very unpleasant on vacation, that's why I don't put 5 stars.

We could not get any good from the hotel. We have travelled with a Jochen Swiss voucher, which has a value of 100 euro. For that we got a room for one night. This is a 3 star hotel and in Cologne you can come with 100 euro in very good 4 star hotels, but no matter. We did not get Wi-Fi access at check-in. Also first of all, we have enough data volume on our phones. The room was quite small and cramped and the "art" is reflected in strange paintings and metal shelves. Art is of course a matter of taste, but I found a picture frame with a small hand saw in it now rather daunting than inviting. Got something from saw. After my wife and I went to sleep with our little daughter (6 months old) in the evening, the party started. From 9.30 o'clock in the neighbouring rooms the doors were constantly on and on and there was a loud music sounding and laughter. Here, a group of men apparently celebrated a party in their hotel rooms. After having spoken to the men several times, I called the reception. The game went on for hours until my wife got down in the pajamas to the reception and got one of her legendary Furienaus grids, just as mothers who want to protect her child can get him. (who has children, can imagine what I mean:-) ) Meanwhile, I have been holding our little man on our arm trying to persuade the Dutch men to look. They apologized every time, only to start from the beginning 10 minutes later.

For the fifth star, everything would have to be a little better. But overall good.

Accommodation is good. Breakfast good. Dinner options pretty bad. Location is great for event center but no restaurants nearby.

Friendly and helpful service at breakfast and reception. Breakfast plentiful, good selection, it is always redefined. Unfortunately two star deduction because we flooded the room in the showers — water in the shower runs too slowly, shower door is also not tight and so the water ran through the room under the bed. That's a pity.

Very nice hotel although a little eccentric. The rooms are very well equipped and the only complaint that comes to me would be the soundproofing that could be improved.

Our stay went well, the breakfast is excellent and extremely garni. Nevertheless we booked this hotel because of its parking and on arrival we were told that this one was full. It's a bit of a pity…

Hotel is located in the area north of the Cologne fair, thus not necessarily centrally, but with easily accessible KVB connection. Furnishings are modern, partly purist but also tasteful. The service and staff are impeccable. The breakfast buffet is quite rich and good quality. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we would certainly book again here.

Have previously stayed in the Burns Fair and More (which is very nice), which is the same hotel/reception, but the next building along. I wasn't aware that there were 2 different ones at the time I booked. When I got to my room, it was cold, bland, seemingly unfinished, with concrete floors and walls. (I know this may seem 'modern' to some, but didn't impress me at all. ) I called reception to ask why it was so different but the staff were very rude and abrupt with me. The room was clean enough, but the drain in the shower was blocked, which I didn't know until after my shower, when I got out and discovered the whole bathroom was completely flooded and it was leaking out to the main room. There is also no kettle/coffee machine in the room, pretty basic in this day and age… Building site next door started up at 5:30 am, meaning my sleep was cut pretty short. Good location for the Messe/show hall, internet was ok. Wouldn't stay in the 'art' again, maybe would in the 'fair and more'.

We enjoyed the stay at the Burns Art Cologne hotel very much. We appreciated above all:-The quiet location-the fast connection to public. Transport-The delicious breakfast buffet the minimalist design of the corridors and the room has a special appeal and only seemed to be a little uncomfortable at the beginning.

Was OK. It was very noisy all night, as the rooms were rather clean and in our room the toilet was not cleaned in front of our arrival because the guests before us failed to rinse…

Fairly good hotel. Nice lobby, clean rooms. Sad that the spaghetti sauce tasted like cheap supermarket sauce and they couldn't even add parmesan cheese.

At carnival time we booked a deluxe double room for €120 the night. The choice was due to the good ratings, the exceptional design and the pictures, which were specially set for the deluxe room, which showed a very spacious room on the hotel.
The hotel has a 24-hour check-in, free parking, friendly staff and perfect cleanliness.
It was sobering, however, the much smaller room, which was comfortable and clean and a great bathroom had, but did not satisfy the expectation and did not justify the price.

Lovely hotel, with great decor. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Very close to a lidl so fresh pastries each morning — a lot cheaper than the 13 euro surcharge for breakfast in the hotel. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room — but free coffee each morning. This was good in the mornings however nowhere to get a mid afternoon hot drink unless you walk up to the lidl. Located next to the tram station so easy assess to the center but not walking distance.

We had only wanted a simple stay for one night and were very happy to have found something for the low price. But the fact that a very nice, clean and quiet hotel with extremely attentive staff hides behind us was totally blown away; And the breakfast buffet is the hammer! In contrast, many 4-star hotels do not arrive. Beautiful interior design.

From the outside the hotel is not much to look at and there is a lot of construction work going on around the area. Once inside the feel is welcoming, the staff are helpfully and switch from German to English very easily. The rooms are simple but functional. The Breakfast was very decent, with plenty of choice, all you can eat and fresh. There are a number of places to find some thing to eat close by plus a Supermarket (Lidl) just around the corner. The thing we missed the most was hot drinks making facilities. Having a cup of tea in the morning before leaving the room would have been nice.

Unimpressed. Beds are comfortable sure and black out curtains are good but that’s typical of any 3 star establishment. Over three nights room service only came to make beds. We had a tray of biscuits from the first night still on the table — unnoticed and unmoved. And we had to get a new card for our room three times. No kettle or iron either.

Good value for money. The area is quite far from the center but fortunately the tram is only a few minutes walk from the host.

Great hotel If it wasn't a bit out of the centre… comfortable and clean rooms, we were given a standard room despite the reservation being for a delux… Breakfast 13 euro is a bit too much, in the center in the various Starbucks you save… All in all I would recommend it.

The rooms may be well designed and over taste can be argued, but naked colder concrete floor, skewed pictures and wall decoration of structural steel, stained walls, and technically questionably mounted lamps with blue-shining neon tubes are unfortunately of Botch on the building. The rooms radiate cheap mentality in cloaks of design. Here, the flair of a cell is conjured up. Coziness looks distinctly different. Also the beds are not outstanding in quality.

A great price a good service, convenient for those coming by car, inconvenient for those arriving by train.

A mydays booking is no problem here. Good location, thanks to tram you are within 15 minutes in the old town. The room had everything you need but is very noisy and at the moment a construction site in front of the hotel provides additional noise. Since I was given a wheelchair-accessible room, the bathroom was also more reminiscent of a hospital (do not need a wheelchair). The staff was very friendly. Around the bar you can find comfortable seats with books or TV, parking spaces are available and the breakfast was very good!

Quiet Hotel, located in a small residential area! You can get to the city quickly with the nearby tram. And the design is a good mix of retro and modern. No hipster hotel;-)

Beautiful safe return Place.

The room was clean and very comfortable, the service friendly and helpful. The location nearby the Cologne Fair perfect for visitors. The Cologne City is only 20 min walk far away and you van enjoy the great view from the Severin Bridge. We loved the stay in Burns Art Cologne and will return.

Many free parking lots, cheap, free coffee, fast internet, mini bar, air conditioning, right next to a big construction site, so it's a bit noisy. Overall the best hotel in this price class near the central city.

The hotel looks nice and is very clean! The bed however is very hard. The good breakfast makes up for that though! I'd definitely recommend it for the low prices you pay!

It's indeed far from the city center and located within a seemingly low income housing area and nearby some abandoned warehouses. My room was on the ground floor next to a car park. Quite hot and humid in summer. Staff were just okay. Won't come again.

The parking was a little hard to find, but it was right near the hotel. Aside from the construction cluttering the roads around it the hotel is beautiful inside. The bar area is beautiful. Truly a diamond in the ruff of Koln. Try the beer, it's amazing.

Welcoming reception and alright rooms. There is a easy and modern lounge area. Our room was of average size but with a big workdesk. Quite a nice place but not central. Not our first choice if we where to go to Cologne again, but a nice place to stay if you got buisness in the immediate area.

Beautiful, small Hotel. We loved our stay there. We upgraded in a suite which was just breathtaking. It was on the 7th floor and we were lucky enough to receive the room with an amazing rooftop terrace where you could oversee the whole City. Breakfast was generous and the staff was really friendly. If we ever stay in Cologne again, we know where to go to!

Very good hotel located in a quiet. Less than 500 m from a metro station, it is easy to get to the City Center while taking advantage of the free parking of the hotel. Very friendly staff offering good advice (in English). The rooms are modern, clear, clean and the bedding is fine. The breakfast is royal. The Claudius Spa are within walking distance.

Just pointed this hotel. Room was very clean and very modern. The staff very friendly and helpful. The area was also very good. You could reach the track in 2 minutes and quick access to the city centre from there. The breakfast was super tasty. We will definitely come again.

I would book this hotel anyway again.
The area is perhaps not the best and it seems pretty remote at the beginning. We could but walk in 15-20 min that LANXESS arena. Thats too far who also can take the tram. Can be reached after only 5 min.
It was friendly. The hotel was fully booked and for all guests the breakfast room to small. So it has been divided into groups. The time we could seek out still.
The breakfast was delivers. I could not stop eating :). So much choice and it was filled in until the end.
Conclusion: During our next visit to the arena we book this hotel again.

It is a very nice hotel with a nice body. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Small Markel were that the TV in the room was very small and from one side of the bed, not to see and that was breakfast only until 10:30. But everything in the all a very nice stay.

A modern hotel with a rich buffet breakfast. We were tourists here. The city centre is good and easy to reach. The hotel is located in a quiet area and there are plenty of parking spaces available. If we once again get to Cologne, we come back like in this hotel.

A very nice hotel — — clean, quiet, with good food and helpful staff. Optional dinner was only pizza, but it was fast, convenient, tasty, and affordable, which for a business traveler is often nicer than having to endure a 2-hour ordeal. If you want fancy food, there's always Koeln. Internet access was reliable but costs extra; I paid a reasonable amount for a week's access. Unfortunately you'll have to pay even more if you want to connect your phone and tablet to the Internet along with your computer. The hotel is easy walking distance to the Koeln Messe for trade shows, and it's about five minutes' walk to the and tram lines for public transit that will get you to central Koeln. It's was about a 15-minute walk for me to get to the S13 commuter train that provides a pretty fast trip to the airport, but a taxi is faster.

Nice, somewhat no-nonsense hotel, free Wi-Fi is missing.
