Really making a UK-style effort here and very friendly front desk and breakfast staff. Rooms are small but very clean. Breakfast surprisingly wide ranged and egg dishes made freshly upon ordering.

The staff was very friendly and professional. The gentleman that checked us in was very helpful and even helped us bring our luggage to the room. We stayed in the historic older building of the hotel which was very nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was silent (slept very well). Would definitely stay here again if traveling to Cologne.

The rooms are very nice and clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very adequate. There is nothing negative.

Very nice and stylishly decorated small boutique hotel. Very central location. I had a super nice room, see picture. The breakfast was excellent. Everything was freshly prepared and cooked on request. The staff are all super nice, polite, accommodating. I would like to come back.

On weekends, the night life is quite noisy. Otherwise quite OK.

We had booked the 4 star hotel via the train. We were described as a few minutes walk from the train station. In reality it is 1, 5 km, with heavy luggage (coming from holiday) on foot not feasible. It's okay with the subway. Unfortunately we did not have the info in advance. Arriving at the hotel we dragged our luggage back over several steps to the entrance. Our room was on the sixth floor here there was a lift that didn't exactly look trustworthy. The room was large but completely outdated with a hotel room door that would not process from the inside Konntenund a second locked indefinable door. The fridge did not work, the hair dryer was torn out of its wall mount, an imposition when blow-drying. The shower cubicle was not in the guide at certain places and hung out. When we wanted to go to the elevator on the ground floor in the evening, a mouse came towards us, which then climbed along the curtain. The next morning we left the hotel in an escaped style. €96 and 4 stars for the completely outdated and Schmudelige hotel is really the hammer. The pictures from the hotel room in the Ameropa catalogue are pure fantasy. We didn't have such a room. Once and never again.

The hotel has a good location if you want to have some food in the evening. I am very satisfied with the facilities of the hotel. Only the air conditioning is a bit weak in summer. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the responsible is very nice and helpful.

The hotel has been in the years and looks beautiful neither from the inside nor from the outside. The rooms are OK but pretty windy and cold. We had to look for the room almost every time, especially if you ride the elevator. The stairs are a good leg workout. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was OK and the breakfast lady a positive light look. The hotel is located in a Turkish quarter next to 2 noisy schishabars that resemble a money laundering, Gegebüber is a Turkish kiosk where prices rise hourly and next to it a good kebab snack. At least the traffic connection is top… I would not recommend this hotel again and I would not suggest it to anyone! Don't forget your things in the hotel, because they disappeared the next day without a trace, defying multiple contact and consolation.

Was satisfied so far. Good facilities, clean and friendly staff. However, since the hotel is located between several clubs in the city centre, it is quite noisy at night.

Good hotel. Location close to a Subway station. Breakfast is decent. The rooms are very clean and we'll decorated: very comfortable. Will come often again.

Stayed here for the Christmas markets. Nearly had to cancel and emailed the hotel before hand, they responded quickly but in the end didn’t cancel. Had breakfast first morning, basic continental, coffee fine and asked for a couple of fried eggs. The hotel has big rooms, nicely decorated throughout, showing a couple of signs of age but not enough to put you off. Lots of nice paintings and pictures everywhere. Reception staff very friendly. Would recommend for a city break.

Stopped here for two nights, check in staff were lovely and friendly despite my poor German. The room was perfectly fine, nice comfortable bed and all the things I'd expect in a hotel room. The free Wi-Fi ended range at my room door so I had to sit just inside to use it, something they can remedy easy enough. My only real complaint is that the check out staff member was constantly smoking just outside and this left the reception stinking of cigarettes. Location was fine, around 20 min walk from the Dom and plenty of nice restaurants around to the east.

Good location, friendly staff. Price is reasonable. Room is quite good. 10-15 min walk distance to very good touristic locations.

Super friendly and courteous staff. Very clean and cosy room. The location is great and anyone who can't reach is not afraid of a little walk to everything quickly and easily. Even the club scene on the other side of the street made entertainment (at night at 3 PM with a large police force)
The Breakfast is super delicious and everything is fresh (fruit / vegetables and scrambled eggs ect)
If we are once again in COLONIA, we will book again

Clean and modern. I was positively surprised that it was calm despite all the clubs and large street below the hotel. Maybe not on weekends…

I have stayed at this hotel for many years, clean, fun location, nice staff, great bread at breakfast. Just wish there was one English language TV channel.

Small old fashion hotel. Clean, friendly staff, service is good. Good location for food and drink. Walking distance to town centre, bus and train station near by.

Reception and room of high standing but without particular charm.

Located directly across the road of several Clubs, so super handy. Walking distance to the Dom about 10 to 15 minutes. The room was practical and clean, even if oldfashioned. The bed maybe a little too soft at the surface. Breakfast was great.

Well price / performance is so-so! For the downtown area in Cologne of course totally ok, and if you stay only 1 or 2 nights there is more than enough.

I am very happy with the location of the hotel, the cleanliness is also in order. The rooms are large and very well designed. I have not taken breakfast therefore I can not evaluate it. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The hotel is strategically located, the Friesenplatz around the corner. The shopping street "honor" is also around the corner, later she then goes into wide str. Over and leads directly to the CATHEDRAL.

The a-star is already too much, deserves no more than Nice and embarrassing come into contact with women at the front desk. The Hotel is conveniently located, the Friesnplatz around the corner. The shopping street "Ehrenstraße" is around the corner and has us super fallen, later called it then goes into the Wide Str. Over and leads directly to the CATHEDRAL. The Hotel is English modern equipped. A bit complex, but what it is, that it is from the century. Our room was quiet small courtyard. It was nice and big. Our Breakfast, we were in the "garden" in the courtyard to take, because we are lucky with the weather :-) it was delicious and rich. The staff are very nice, even if it is on the weekend a bit full at the Hotel was.

So, I am for two days in this Hotel. There is for the price a whole lot of better Hotels in Cologne. Wherever you are in the room looks, you can see only dirt. Especially the ground. To the rooms takes you through a maze of corridors and stairs. I don't know what the architect was thinking? After I came home, did everything with me again, even unworn clothes again washed. It is, of course, everyone is free, even his experience. I highly recommend this hotel not further.

The people at the reception were very friendly and accommodating. First impression of the room was okay, but then one has in some Places a lot of dirt and dust seen. The bathroom itself was clean. Good Hotel, good Breakfast.

The hotel room was ok, as were the people at the reception. The location of the hotel was also quite good. The breakfast was quite elaborate and tasty, although the supply of bacon and eggs could be a little bit better; often there was none while there should be. On the other hand; there was plenty of other (good! ) stuff. The sauna was very disappointing; there was only one sauna room and, I know it sounds stupid, it was really too hot. The thing is that we booked the hotel partially because of the sauna, so that was a big bummer (the fitness on the other hand was quite big and looked impressive, unfortunately we didn't care for that). Wi-Fi reception in our room could be better. I would give this hotel a 3.5, but unfortunately that is not possible. A 4 is more appropriate than a 3 then.

A pleasant hotel, friendly service. Nice that internet is free. Breakfast is relatively good value and quite nice.
