It's a nice 4th hotel.

Cons:
1. It was cool, on 3 were given only 2 blankets;
2. Filmed room for 3, one of the beds was uncomfortable — decomposed sofa;
3. Room small, cramped;
4. To the center 20-25 minutes.

Pros:
1. Exceptional cleanliness;
2. Modern room equipment, fresh repairs;
3. There is a kettle, tea, coffee, bath accessories;
4. There is a gym (which overlooks the Cathedral) and a sauna;
5. Luxury breakfast (several hot dishes, slicing, fish, fruit, honey in honeycombs, juices, buns, hot drinks and more), but expensive;
6. Polite staff.

I recommend the hotel!

Nice location and clean room. The biggest problem is that it lacks of character and personality. I only interacted with the reception quickly for check in and check out and they were very very cold. Also the fridge in the room was cold and completely empty. I ordered 3 bottles of cold water (half litre each) for more than 14 €.

Very very nice hotel in Cologne. The reception area looks very friendly and colourful. The staff are very attentive and very nice. Especially recommended is the kitchen: The lunch as well as small snacks in between were very good. Underneath the hotel there is an underground car park where the car can be parked at low cost. We were very very pleased.

Mine was a very clean and unexpectedly quiet room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was strong in my room but my colleague would not agree with this.

Very pleasant hotel. Modern, clean, service was brilliant and very child friendly. The staff were attentive and forgiving of poorly spoke German with them quite happily letting me try my best at the language and then confirming in English of needed. Food was good and a good selection of drinks too. Good location on the Rhein wit easy access to the city. Very pleasant stay. Good base for a city break.

Nice and clean furnished rooms. The main street is not heard. If you enter the hotel you go directly to a small play area for the kids, which I personally find good. There were a lot of families with children in this hotel. The breakfast is very good except for the baked buns.

Quite large, therefore confusing. In the side wings the noise of the main road remains intact. Room functional with small beautiful details. Shower feeling is only limited when the shower is open. Food good but the good breakfast should be varied. There are also guests staying longer.

A very child-friendly hotel, nice rooms, clean. You can't hear the car traffic. The food in the restaurant was very good. We would book this hotel again and again.

Location is great, namely right on the Rhine. The hotel is modern, the rooms are nicely clean, reception is nicely served. The bar is still being tested tonight. Is recommendable.

A chic, clean hotel. Fashions furnished rooms in very good condition and not so long ago freshly renovated. Room with ample space and USB Ladeports on both sides of the bed and at the desk. Huge flat screen. Clean and tidy. Breakfast with great choice of food and coffee. Were at the carnival in the hotel and came well to all the important places to celebrate and to be with the parades. We are looking forward to next year.

Very nice hotel. Location right on the Rhine, 10 min walk from the Duomo. Very clean and modern rooms. Very nice atmosphere at the hotel bar. Price Performance Top! Definitely try the breakfast! It's worth every penny.

A good choice for a night in Cologne. Centrally located and very clean. The breakfast was not very good. Little choice, hard buns and already dried cheese.

Friendly hotel, accessible in Cologne on foot a good 15 minutes… too bad that the hotel does not make any effort for the French language.

Great hotel, big TV… Luxery bathroom. Nice beds… Lots of USB ports and great service.

The hotel is very near to bus station, which takes you to Heumarkt in 2 stops. Also 10 min walk to metro station. Our room was very clean, but heating was not so much effective. Hot water was available 24 hours. Staff was helpful and friendly. Recommend everyone.

Novotel has a granted quality belonging its name, clean, modern and above average. Amenities are limited, free tea bags and coffee. There are no slippers, very limited shampoo&conditioner, air conditioner is noisy, free internet is slow. Yet rooms are clean, spacious (we stayed 3 people in one room), warm. The place is very close to both bus station (3min) and underground station (7min, can be accessable with also the bus) to Heumarket. Breakfast is a bit expensive for a continental breakfast. Late arrival is possible, there is always someone at reception. Also consider city tax when you're reserving a room.

A really nice hotel with clean, large rooms at a good price. The hotel looks modern and is conveniently located near the city centre which is easily walkable. The hotel restaurant is also very nice and well decorated with good food at a reasonable price for Novotel standards. The only reason it doesn't get a full five stars is because the lobby/reception area is kind of small.

Nice Hotel. It is not very centrally located (half an hour walk from the central station) although in an office area it may be convenient. The restaurant has a somewhat sparse and expensive menu. The breakfast edtá good though little variety.

Hotel on a busy main road in close proximity (ca15min on foot) to Cologne's Old town. Room and breakfast good. In various places, however, cleanliness leaves nothing to be desired.

Comfortable, clean and nice room in very good location. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. In any case, recommend further.

Cozy, nice and modern furnishings of the room with large TV. Friendly staff at the reception.
Disadvantage: The bedside lamps do not work. The reception is aware of the problem, one takes care of it promptly. We didn't ask for a drink at breakfast, so we had to get each cup of coffee individually.
Large selection of bread and rolls, unfortunately no large cereal selection. But otherwise recommended.

Its a good business hotel, quite new and trendy. However, its quite a walk from the dom and if u have kids then it could be an issue unless u take a cab. The rooms Re good for 2 adults but quite tight if u have 2 infants (like us). Cant accomodate the stroller in the room. Breakfast is ok but its exactly same everyday.

Good hotel. 15 minute walk from the DOM along water front but some distance from train stops about 5 mins. Clean hotel. Good bar. Breakfast is 19 euro per person. We went the bakery. Cheaper.

A hotel without surprises. According to the standard of the chain. Prefer to book a room overlooking the courtyard.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the Novotel. The room was super tidy, modern, well equipped with outlets, lights, desk and sofa. The bathroom was equally modern and clean, no chips/cracks anywhere to see. The front desk staff (Anke) was super helpful and forthcoming, even offering me an umbrella when she noticed I wanted to go out for dinner and it was raining — I didn't even have to ask! The sauna /wellness / fitness area was nice as well. Whenever I will be in Cologne again, this will be my hotel.

Not at the height of a 4 star, could be at most a 3 star. Good location, not far from the center.

The Novotel is conveniently located on the Rhine not far from the Chocolate Museum. Check-in was very quick and friendly.
The breakfast has a nice selection, is heavily overpriced but with 19 EUR for leisure travellers.
The room was equipped with a double bed, a couch, a TV and kettle. The bathroom had a tub and was very clean.
For business travel a good hotel.

We were guests at the weekend with the whole family (7 persons) is this hotel. The price-performance ratio is really bad (150 euro per room per night). The hotel has 4 stars from me non-identifiable reasons.
Negative points:
-When the bed was Queen size beds with only a blanket
-Floor coverings consisted of old, fleckigem carpet
-The ventilation system is very noisy and the temperature settings are only estimates
-The decor is old and worn
-between the bed and the wall, there were only 30-40 cm square
-The bathroom is old, the shower tray to the boarding was made of plastic with a shower curtain. Here, the charm of Caravan came up.
-At the breakfast buffet, there are sausage and cheese from the box, as well as small, even baked bread for 14 euro per person.
-The prices at the bar are prohibitively expensive
-the nearby parking garage with 24 Euro price has airport level. Better, it parked in the public parking lot at the nearby bridge for 4 euro / day.
Positive:
-the staff was friendly and tried
Conclusion:
If already Cologne-city, not here. Old, dirty and poorly equipped. Here, there are better alternatives for less money.

To be a 4 star is not up to par.

Thank you first of all that I have the opportunity to you to inform. I have a double room for two Nights booked, with the note on `peaceful and, if possible, non-Smoking rooms. It was for my parents, me in Cologne had visited. However, I would have not thought, that is me to the prices/night with such a bad room ditched. This is probably the site "Cologne-City" properly exploited to the Touristenmasse handling! So, those who are on a buzzing air conditioning and a (although a double bed is specified), French bed (with a blanket for two persons) is satisfied… in addition, the fact that the bathroom the accommodation price in Cologne is not justified — clean and kalkfrei is something else, may like to check in here. But the big hit is yet to come… if your Breakfast… olala, something I've never experienced. I'm really out of normal circumstances and I am not a high Standard at Breakfast usual. But for the price is sooo so bad quality of Breakfast buffet I have in the price category (Kölnhotel site with added) have never experienced. I wish you elsewhere a good and restful night.

Far away from the city centre.

The Hotel is great, it is modern and the Breakfast is super and the price/performance ratio is great the only Problem is if the rooms to the street are then you are too loud.

The cost of Breakfast and Parking are disproportionately high (20 or 17 Euro). It was for our double bed with a ceiling, and the curtains had not been long washed or had spots (the Übervorhänge).

Hotel is nice, however, I would rather the Novotel Aachen recommend. This is better, because the food is delicious and the rooms are also modern. But if you are staying in Cologne looking for, the Hotel is well suited. It was beautiful!

I've a wife and children here really felt right at home. Easily accessible and beautiful on the Rhine river. 'm determined again.
