The sauna area. The Pool is top notch… the room was very clean and cozy lobby area and very friendly. Would recommend to.

5 1/4 years stayed here and not found: the Spa area, crowded; very good staff; large Apartments (newly fitted) ; high quality bed mattresses
Tip: if necessary, the light switch up/down swipe, if blower is not needed.

A nice hotel within easy walking distance to Dom, Altstadt, Mainstation but also a bit outside of the touristmasses invading Köln.
Offers good breakfast, comfortable beds, Wifi whereever you are inside hotel nice amenities!

Were there over the weekend. Wanted some proximity Rhine, concert, main station and city center. This is perfect. Hotel was absolutely quiet. Very nice reception. It was handed directly map on the one that was ticked for us most important places, including insider tips. Room was large and clean. Funny was the shower in the main room 2m next to the bed. But can be separated with a curtain if you like. Have thought after this wichende nupt swaying why one does not do this at home.

On the basis of a visit to the fair, I booked an apartment at the Hotel Lyskirchen together with two colleagues. The apartment was spacious, very modern and above all extremely clean! Even with the breakfast buffet there is no reason to complain. The staff was always helpful and competent. The price-performance ratio was completely right. The only shortcoming. During our stay, the wellness area was closed due to repair work. But no one can do anything for that. We received an uninvited discount. Highly recommended by our side.

Nice enough hotel but slightly run-down & in need of a bit of TLC. The swimming pool was closed when I was there & some of the equipment in the small fitness centre wasn't working. Otherwise everything was fine. Good location close to the Rhine & not far from the town centre. Good breakfast buffet.

A really lovely clean hotel, central location with very helpful, cheerful staff. Very family friendly, the swimming pool an added extra that not many other hotels can offer. A real jewel in Cologne’s crown.
The hotel breakfasts are on the expensive side especially if you only eat a light breakfast.
Definitely worth a visit though.

Nice modern hotel, excellent location but reception staff wasn't especially nice or helpful. Excellent breakfast. Rooms were nice but unusually laid out with bathrooms and showers close to or in the sleeping area.

Well located hotel (close to the banks of the Rhine, 15 minutes walk from the station & the DOM), very clean and quiet. Excellent reception/room service. Room in new condition. No minibar (refreshments sold at reception). Shower and washbasin in the room (no bulkhead, a curtain can act as separation). Large swimming pool (cold water for paddling, correct for swimming). Excellent breakfast: great variety of sweet and savoury quality products!

Quiet and functional rooms.

I would recommend this hotel because of its central location, helpful personnel, clean and comfortable apartments. The pool was very clean as well but a bit cold for the two kids and there was no elevator.

The hotel was very well maintained and has a pleasant atmosphere. Even the rooms could move in prematurely. The staff was very much to deal with and was able to convey all questions regarding the city as well. Will prefer this hotel again the next time you stay.

Price-performance: excellent.

Not too impressed with the room I was given. Basically shower and bathrooms next to the bed. Location is good though, about 5 minutes walking distance from some nice bars and restaurants. Didn't order breakfast as breakfast area looked quite small and boring. Would probably not book again.

Overall the experience at the hotel has been positive. Very clean and very close to the city centre and the restaurant area. However, we would like to highlight two small details:-The water in the heated pool was very cold-the room fan was very annoying. It went off after ten minutes, when the usual thing is that when you turn off the bath light, it shuts down at the moment.

Good hotel in downtown Cologne. It has besides the traditional rooms also of mini apartments with double bed kitchen corner, bathroom and living room.

It was so all top clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating as well as the rooms and the cleanliness is superb.
Only the pool is freezing. On our complaint it was said he had 26 degrees… hmm… rather 16 degrees.
P. S If you like to eat nearby, the brewery in the Red Ox is not recommended 300 meters from the hotel. Good food and always a table free.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, the room was standard but with a separate little bathroom. Everything is clean, for each guest 2 towels for feet on the floor, shampoo, body lotion, nail saw. Beds are comfortable, linen is white, pillows are comfortable. In the room a bottle of water, a coffee machine Tassimo, capsules with coffee and tea, daily for free all replenished. Good heating, heat. In the mornings a wonderful bell ringing. The station is a 10-15 minute walk. Recommend.

Watch out! They tried to charge twice the breakfast! The hotel rooms are okey, nothing special; the floor was a bit dirty. The swimming pool is quite big and the breakfast was fabulous. Quite location, nearby the river. Hotel personal was nice.

The rooms are clean, spacious and still modern furnished. At the reception you can buy small snacks at moderate prices. Just a few steps to the Rhine, as well as to the old town.

Super Hotel, very central, great rooms, only the mattresses were a little through, nice swimming — and sauna area and the breakfast was really super class, it lacked nothing but still for 20, — € very expensive.

The Hotel Lyskirchen is centrally located, so you can easily explore the old town of Cologne on a short walk. Despite this central location, you are not exposed to a lot of noise nuisance, so you can sleep very well. It has various rooms and also apartments. We had an apartment without food, which was sufficient to meet our requirements for the time. The apartments are located in the next House (4 floors) without a lift, which might be very difficult for one or the other guest. The furnishings of the apartment (TV, radio, hair dryer, Kitchnette — coffee machine with special capsules, …) was very new and modern. Some coffee capsules, sugar and white coffee were available. On demand, we would have also been provided with a kettle. We could have decided on the food at any time. Offered either a small breakfast or the large breakfast buffet. The hotel is also equipped with a swimming pool and a sauna area. These were, however, unfortunately closed for technical reasons during our stay. A bit of a pity was that we only experienced this with the swimming pool on our arrival. We were offered the opportunity to use the swimming pool at the Mercure hotel if necessary. When arriving by car, make sure that you book a parking space, as only 30 car parking spaces are available for the entire hotel. Otherwise, you can also make alternative offers (50% discount on parking in the CONTIPARK parking garage at the Heumarkt).

Lovely hotel, very nice staff, I just regret that the pool was closed during my stay while it was one of the criteria of choice of my hotel.

Nice city hotel, quiet yet centrally located. The room was very small and the staff were very kind.

Were 5 people in two double and one single. Smooth stay, delicious breakfast. Price-performance reasonable. Beds, rather soft, but back schmerzfrei. Rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. Added the hotel to the favorites for our next Cologne trip.

Very nice and large room with a beautiful bathroom. There is a nice sizeable flat screen HD TV, comfortable beds and friendly staff. There is breakfast available too.

Stayed here again a few years since our last visit. The hotel rooms have been refurbished and have a modern clean feel to them. The pool is a nice touch and a pleasant visit after a long day walking round the city.

A lovely clean hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance of the main centre for all shopping and even a day trip from the train station.

At the reception we were told that the Internet is not working until further. No apology or compensation. The hotel is not responsible but an external company. We are just very disappointed because WLAN was a reason for booking.

A good hotel, great cleanliness, nice staff and prepared, generous breakfast Epccato the voucher from Consgnare in the morning for breakfast, gave the impression of the meal voucher.
Price for a good stay, the hotel is 10 min from the Duomo and two pasis from the Rhine and the Chocolate Museum.
Pity the lack of a restaurant.

I had a comfortable room with a separate bathroom, unlike other rooms with a shower right in the room. Not a bad location, a delicious breakfast. Disgusting slow internet that is sometimes absent all day long! And it's in a hotel with four stars! On the mattress put waterproof mattresses, they do not let sweat, as a result, sleep normally impossible because the bedding quickly becomes wet! I suggest the owners of the hotel to sleep so much! I had to take off the mattress.

Everything was top! We had a super room with modern bathroom, everything was very clean, the hotel staff absolutely friendly, the breakfast varied and tasty, the location of the hotel favorable so that we could explore many sights without any problems on foot. The price-performance ratio also matched. The hotel Lyskirchen is recommended for us from A to Z!

Wonderful hotel to stay at. Staff are friendly and helpful. They provided us with a late check-in and had a beautiful room ready for us over looking the street. The bar and lounge area was especially nice as it was open very late so you can get a drink even after the local pubs had closed. The hotel is also by excellent restaurants and is within walking distance of major shopping centres/landmarks you will want to see once you arrive.

Beautiful rooms! The beds are amazing and very comfortable. There is no separation between the room and the shower/sink area which is interesting but the toilet is in a separate room with a door, which is all that really matters. Great location and great price. The pool and gym are free to use as a guest, but the sauna costs 4€per person. It is right across from the river and the lindt chocolate museum which is well worth a visit, very interesting! Great bakeries, public transportation, and shopping near by. Would definitely come again.

Helpful staff and very close to centre rooms are a decent size and also offers apartments.

Nice room but I didn't have any luck as there was a lot of noise in the morning during my stay. Plus the cleaning service tends to come knocking at your door a little early, don't forget to put "Do not Disturb" at your door. Staff okay but no more.

Friendly front-desk people. Clean rooms. Central location. Very good.

Worst hotel ever? AC doesnt work. Practically no ventilation in the room at all. Shower is a glass box right next to the bed. No privacy. Power outlets don't work when the lights are off. And to top it off they are currently doing construction inside and outside that starts around 7am. Jackhammers, drills, yelling workers. Uncomfortable nights interrupted by heinous noise first thing in the morning. Awful place. Don't stay here.

Hotel location was excellent. Stayed in an apartment. It was clean, decor was fresh and modern. Housekeeping service every day was excellent. Just like staying a hotel.

Great hotel with many amenities. Very comfortable beds and air conditioning. The kitchenette and microwave made our stay very pleasant. The pool was nice and the staff was very friendly. Also the location was very convenient (right next to the river; 5 min to the main shopping area; 15 min to the Dom). Highly recommended!

Great house in good location — rooms very nice: modern and comfortable — nice Breakfast — swimming Pool — staff very nice and attentive! We had a pleasant Easter weekend and enjoyed the time.

Pillows very uncomfortable almost none existing once laid on for a bit, rooms are very small, booked a double bed but got two singles pushed together, fridge didn't work, internet would cut out. On the positive side, good size safety deposit box, room was clean and the pool was good for a indoor city hotel also clean.

Service: Nettes Personal und hilfsbereit Zimmer: Bad groesse war meiner Meinung nach ok, allerdings hat sich die Strahlstaerke beim Duschen veraendert. Das Wlan kam nicht in unser Zimmer 301. Und die Bettdecken sind einfach nur schlecht… atmen nicht man schwitzt oder friert : (. Wasser Tee und Kaffee gibts umsonst und wird auch wieder aufgefuellt jeden tag.

We stayed at the Lyskirchen for almost a week. The hotel was perfect for us. Centrally located, large rooms, and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were quite good with a varied fare. We will stay here again, next time we come to Köln.

Superior double room 2 nights.
Outside not so appealing as inside, the entrance and the lobby were very beautiful and appealing, super staff and modern design in the hotel.
Has a lift which looks even beautiful from the inside.
The room has been at the enter leave a nice impression, super clean and tidy.
The bed was really comfortable and the Windows were very well isolated although a quite busy road was not far away.
The bathroom was also nice.
Coffee machine was filled every day new and we got new water every day.
We can not evaluate the food.
Hotel is located close to the Rhine River where you can walk very nicely, although it is slightly farther into the city, but so you can inquire about good. The Chocolate Museum was just around the corner.
The room service was good and neat. To staff and very friendly and helpful!
Attention was paid to every detail in the room and there were no problems at check-out, we were very pleased and would book again this hotel and each recommending.
The only thing to expose who was the shower drain. It has stunk terribly when we entered the room, could perhaps be something to cover the drain available.
Otherwise again unravel and put a towel on the drain. And the Wi-Fi was not the best, which is why there are also the high speed Internet as an offer. However you should sit not only in the room no matter how beautiful it is :)

We felt very much at home as a family in an apartment. A nice plus is the swimming pool. Only criticism is that the Studiobed is not convenient.

Great Hotel! Large, clean rooms, coffee and water freely available. Bathroom clean and delicious Breakfast. The Best is the very well-kept Spa area with Pool and Sauna. Contrary to other Bewertunden that Wi-Fi is free, only for a higher speed has to be paid. At any time gladly again.

Top Hotel. Thought of everything. Complimentary water in the room, coffee maker, magazine (Brigitte), great Breakfast and a Pool. Very clean. Staff very friendly.

Very nice and clean hotel with polite staff. Superior rooms very quiet, with very modern and large Samsung flatscreen TV (finally! ). Room very clean, bathroom bright and modern. Internet access against fee. WLAN reception is excellent, connection speed good. However the limitation that only one device per subscription can be online at the same time is archaic and annoying. The pool is clean and (for an inside pool) pleasantly large and rarely crowded. Towels are provided for pool and sauna. Sadly, there is no space for chairs next to the pool to read something comfortably. Air conditioned Fitnessroom adjacent to the pool is ok though not very spacious: Treadmill, Elliptical, Bike. One dumbbell pair with adjustable weights (very nice), one multifunction device with a bit too short cables and without instructions for possible exercises. Water cooler was present though not functioning at time of visit. Very large TV present but not turned on at time of visit. Low ceiling height may cause trouble for tall people on the treadmill. Breakfast buffet is nice and varied. Excellent: Even towards the end of breakfast time, the buffet is well stocked and being refilled. Price for breakfast per person at 20€.

I have stayed at the hotel for just one night, I went to a trade show. I booked a double, I like a big room. It was perfect. Nice room, very soft pillows. The staff is friendly and takes care of everything. The breakfast is expensive: 19, 50 per person. BUT you can love food as much as you. Everything that you expect to be, a breakfast table is here and there to choose much. Can you a full English breakfast, cereal, fruit, milk/yoghurt, pancakes, juices, (herbal tea), coffee. A good way to start the day.

Wanted to book there, because of the pool and the location. But then I found out that Wi-Fi there costs 10 euro per hour. This is no longer acceptable; in 2014 nowhere near enough for a hotel that has supposedly 4 star.

Goods for a weekend at this hotel, everything very clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast cost extra though, but it was very good and rich. The location to the city centre was a top to go walking there.
Although cost parking extra is but apparently common in town center (close in such garages is Gehwönungsbedürftig). All in all, would book again next time.

Almost in the center of the city, everything is close by. It was quite cheap for 4star hotel, and service is polite and nice.

Our stay in the hotel was brillant. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was excellent too. We stayed in an apartment which was perfect having a young child with us. There was plenty of room and as we had to stay in the room for a day as our daughter was unwell and not fit to go out it was very comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, we had a lovely time. P. S. Next time you upgrade your TV's, please can you make sure they have a USB socket so if anyone has got to stay in all day they can watch films from a USB hard drive.

Very comfortable hotel offering a very good value for money, especially taking into account the equipment (gym, swimming pool). Very good location within walking distance of the shopping area and all the Christmas markets (in December). Only small downside: the soundproofing of the rooms… But I'm pretty hard at this level.

Feel-good atmosphere and friendly atmosphere makes this hotel. Even if the weather at times not playing, you can use the pool area and families will not be bored. Great buffet breakfast a good start in the day and every penny is worth.

Great business hotel, but staff was also very friendly towards our children. Room decor is simple and clean (Zen). The breakfasts are amazing — superb selection and quality of food. Within walking distance of Rhine and downtown, including an excellent LEGO store. Beautiful indoor pool. Excellent value for price. A bit of street noise in early morning if sleeping with windows open.
