Cool place, chep but good service, my booking has been upgraded for no extra charge, good breakfast, nice staff.

Good service. It's close to everything. It is easy to take the metro.

Cheap but very limited comfort I didn't have the curtains on the breakfast windows and enough cleaning I stayed in the private room there is no parking, great Metro in front of the entrance.

If you can stay at another hostel, stay. Noisy, dirty, a bunch of southern faces. The only joy — right at the entrance of the most popular in Berlin stall with shawa.

Excellent for a budget hostel we had a nice stay quiet family room good breakfast central location.

I would not recommend this hostel to anyone. I booked this hostel around 21 euro in 8 bunk bed room. After I reached there they asked 4 euro more for bedsheet and linen. So in total I paid 25 euro for 1 night which I think is expensive. And they gave me bed in 10 bunk bed room. The washroom and toilets are not upto standard. The water came inside our room from washroom while bathing.

Great budget accommodation and very helpful staff. Lots of restaurants and shopping areas in close proximity. The train is literally outside the door. Downside… the breakfast was very limited.

The light does not work. The locks don't work. Broken beds. Broken shower. Clawsing staff.
I would give 0 stars because within half an hour when I was not in the room (room was locked) 50€ were probably stolen by the cleaning women.

Highly recommend this hostel, fair price with breakfast included. Dusty floors. Check the beds before choosing yours, some are old and saggy, and bring earplugs because they all creak.

The most comfortable bed I've slept in for years. Good for a short stay. Colourful, bright rooms and lots avaliable for breakfast. Only downside was the bathroom stank of smoke and the shower room has no where to hang towels/clothes. Staff were friendly, Wi-Fi signal strong depending on which floor you're on :)

Next to the dirty room (behind the heating lay a syringe, dust & rubbish), the shower was not functional & the mattresses had disgusting patches that I don't want to know from where they came from.
The best thing was when we came from breakfast & the bed I had slept on had disappeared. The caretaker came to our room (half past 10 when we got ready) to build a new high-bed. Visibly unfazed by the fact that we just wanted to get ready he started to build the bed. I then pointed out to him that I would like to get myself done in peace without his presence, to which he silently disappeared.

It's a good place to spend the night, cozy. You're very much in your air. The breakfasts are spectacular in variety and Quantity. The only bad thing is that it's on the third Floor. Right at the door is the metro and Conde places Eat.

Great for the price. Clean beds, toilets, rooms and good breakfast.

Love Hostel team, we have some comments about our stay at the Metropol hostel: So, your water at breakfast tasted and smelled like it was drawn straight from the loo, just like the "Orange juice", the cakes were bockhart and at least Baked three times in the last three days, besides, the selection was very modest…
The mattresses were below average comfortable, the ceiling were completely filthy and have already stunk at check in, as well as the "bathroom" where the shower head was calcification and the water don expired in the shower. The light was far too dark and there were too few outlets. In addition, the windows were not available in some rooms. The whole house has either Sucuk (Turkish garlic sausage) or cheap fish stunk.
Since you have to specify at least one star, we justify it with Mustafa's vegetable Kebap outside the door and the cucumbers at breakfast were quite ok.
We enjoyed the stay very much.

To be a hostel is not bad. Beware of the rooms on the street because very noisy!

Hostel staff stole my stuff. I only got it back because I made a huge fuss and threatened to go to the police (plus, I discovered it early). Rooms, the one I got was shared with 9 other people, and the condition wasn't good. The entire place gave off the feel of a haunted mental hospital. Too little toilets for the total number of people here, and the lounge wasn't conducive for socialising. Wifi coverage in my room was bad. Location is good though, there's two famous food places right outside the ground floor entrance, Curry 36 (wurst) and a kebab place. Overall though, I'd suggest other hostels if you have the chance to do so. And please, keep your stuff safely (lockers are inside the room, but good as useless).

Breakfast is not bad type… rest all are fine.

The truth is that I loved page as 17e, but I was charged without warning 3 of the sheets that annoyed me.

Good breakfast but very clean and spacious.

We were 10. In a room and it was really way too cramped. They felt like they were in prison, because the cheapest beds were simply placed in the room. The bathroom was a disaster as we got to 10. Only had a shower and also shared showers were only 3 which were in an extremely bad condition and have very stunk. From the Servic we did not get anything, except at night when this came in and asked us very rude to be quiet. The breakfast was just one day and we went to the next baker on the subway. The only positive of the hostel is actually its location.
Overall, you can say that the hostel is really not recommended!

Hostel clean, helpful (possibility to leave your suitcases at the reception), there is a subway station just downstairs and the best kebab in Berlin. Very affordable price.

I couldn't enter in my room as the card-key didn't function so often. Otherwise, the service was good while the price is quite cheap.

Our toilet started off broken but was fixed quickly, food was decent and beds were as you'd expect for a hostel. Decent place to stay overall.

A hostel of the worse category.
We had a private (! ) Three-bed room which was completely filthy, especially the private (! ) Bathroom: On the toilet lid more than clearly the remnants of the predecessor could be found.
The room was very large and the bathroom was very dirty. Mattresses were dirty under the varnishes, yellowish, brownish.
Floor only conditionally clean. Toilet paper very tightly sized.
Additional "towels" were in short supply and could only be handed out on the following day (attention: mini-format).
It seems as if the rooms have not been cleaned. There is a great need for action here!
Breakfast (buffet) was fine: cakes, bread, sausage, cheese, jam, yogurt etc. Location of the hostel very central, Wi-Fi in the room available.
At the staff it depends on who you get caught: Partly friendly, partly rude with long wait at the reception.

Avoid this place at all costs. The breakfast is terrible, the staff are ignorant and the rooms are dirty. When I first entered my room, I found a hairball on the ground. I will include the picture. The walls have holes in them, some of the lamps have no bulbs and the bathrooms smell bad all the time.

The beds and rooms are fine. Housekeeping leaves a bit to be desired, in the three days I was there I didn't see anyone cleaning the bathroom in the room.
The location is great, you go with the subway everywhere.
You have the best kebab in Berlin below, if you are willing to queue for hours to try a kebab. There are also other liquor stores, etc.

Worst hostel I ever experienced, stayed for 2 nights end of september'16, nights quite noisy and unrestfull (esp when doors are closed), first morning shower out of order, first and second morning cleaners entered room without warning, did not even apologize, or hurry out, second morning cleaners even 2 hours earlier than late checkout time that I paid for extra. Kindly talking to the reception about issues but no comprehension even no apologizes, nor (partial) refunding. Paid more than 80euros per night for simple single standard rooms. Cannot recommend that hostel …

The hostel has some qualities, but there is room for many improvements. The Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible, and my room doesn't have enough plugs for everyone. The breakfast is ok, but nothing impressive. My room is on the fourth floor and the elevator is slow and can only take four people at a time, and having to take the stairs all the time is annoying. The location is really near to a subway station, and in Berlin that means you can get everywhere easily. There is also some places to eat nearby for a really fair price.

Ok for a couple of nights, the beds were comfy, location easy to get to, breakfast pretty standard meat, cheese and cereal buffet. Down side if you're in a group room, Shower facilities left a lot to be desired, poor pressure in the en suite and the communal ones didn't really work at all. Could be worth taking your own towel as the ones you get are small.

Got my shopping bag full of new stuff stolen from the room (shared only with my friends). I blamed the cleaning service since they entered the room while we were outside and even left the door open! Manager said I can't prove anything so they didn't refund any money. Disaster, I'm very disappointed by their attitude.

The location is great. Relatively clean room. Beds were comfortable. The double rooms were not to the street, but to the inner courtyard, so no noise from cars, etc. The cleaning personnel arrived within five days, Once in our room, and only emptied the trash and the dirty towels taken, but no fresh towels again went. The room was not mopped and the beds not made. Take your own towels! The questions are anyway too small! It is very loud, you can hear at night if the neighbour is coming home. TV without remote control and to not use it. On the day of departure I discovered in the morning, a weird, small bug in bed, was there all night or longer. The Breakfast was nothing special. There is already a reasonable choice, but it is very fond and disconsolate in the Breakfast room. The cheese and the sausage looked fresh and the individual discs together and glued. I have not tried in the first place. For the good completion of the specialist between 9:45 and 9:50 PM has to clear, starting just the Buffet without talking a word with us. Very rude, would be that we like something, because, officially, there are up to 10:00 for Breakfast. But it had more of a kicking atmosphere! We have left it for a unique Breakfast in the Hostel we went to in nice Cafés in the area. The staff asked at Check-out to our satisfaction. It seemed very indifferent, in a bad mood and not in the mood to Talk. The same at the time of Check-In.

Was in an 11 bed room and unfortunately the mattress was a bit stretched, still clean and cheap incl. Breakfast… Well, they didn't have such nice roommates, they didn't let me sleep, but the hostel can't do anything about it.

Very good air conditioning would still roll across and fruit at the breakfast but otherwise good.

So far I've had generally only good experiences, it was very clean the staff everything there also nice.

Nice people, breakfast class is perfectly in order, room and bed, only I would do to the bathroom me if you got an alternative.
But in order you can make up all in all for the price for one or two nights.

At this Hostel you may simply not have high expectations. TOP LOCATION! One is with the underground line U6 or U7 within a few minutes in the city or on the Tempelhofer field. Within walking distance is everything in only a few minutes away from the kebab stall to the supermarket or furniture store. To the Hostel; To stay, enough, shower/toilet in the Dorm to suffer at times under water and Breakfast is not for high demands, but it is also ok. Staff is nice, tries to have a pleasant stay. All in all, what more for people who want to do something and no high expectations. For a more relaxing holiday are other Hotels more suitable.

The Hostel is super suitable for pupils and students, and for all that no high demands! The staff is very friendly and the rooms are also up on little things very clean! For a short city break so definitely recommended.

This is a good hostel to stay at if you're going to Berlin: they had the comfiest beds of any hostel I've ever been to (even in an 8 person dorm), the breakfast was alright, and the Wi-Fi connection never failed. The location felt as if it wasn't incredibly close to everything when walking but after consulting with friends in other hostels there are not many other central hostels like this and it is so close to the U-Bahn that you can get almost anywhere within 20 minutes.

The Hostel is a hygienic disaster. Something I have in Germany have not yet experienced. The bathroom has stunk terribly and obviously has the ventilation in there is not working. We have been for the whole stay, just 1 towel per person provided. In the sink were hair. The curtains were you ignore with spots. The floor was in the entire Hostel is dirty. The only positive was the friendly staff.

We were there on a school trip, had to us with 15 people and one shower and one toilet to share, the moldy ceiling, insulation, super bad, you could every word of the neighbors to hear (Normal levels), Breakfast super disgusting, Aufbackbrötchen from Aldi, some charred black, the O-juice diluted with water, the ONLY advantage — but nothing with the Hotel to do — Mustafa Gemüsekebap is literally in front of the door, it's worth the hour wait ~ Who is a Hotel for the night looking for ~ do not ' Take this and keep searching, Or you have to sleep in the car, you are better served, and know that your not sick or anything similar will!

A pity, I would like to have even less stars but this is just as little possible as this Hostel is reasonable to take a shower, to sleep, or without damage to the olfactory organ in the building to leave. I had wished for a more positive criticism to leave but the first impression has in the last 5 days not confirm. A brief insight to get, I will briefly summarize the arrival and the first gear through the room to explain. After an 8 hour bus ride, we were finally arrived at the Hostel, the first impression from the outside was very positive. This changed, however, after the first glance into the room. The Windows were open, but this is not for air but for the simple reason that the handle is to go on was missing and the Windows for this reason, the whole time were open. Under and behind the in room heating starpelte already Dirt earlier inhabitants, and was apparently not necessary to remove it. The last point refers to the bathroom, in which it already for the arrival stankt whether this simply to the fact was an indefinable broth in the toilet sponge, or simply because the this windowless bathroom with a non-functioning ventilation was to be put away. The location is good, as you can get anywhere relatively quickly with the subway and have the possibility to eat directly in front of the hostel or to buy small things like drinks. For people who do not think much of hygiene it is appropriate — for those who do not. It was neither cleaned nor anything else before we arrived (at least you have the impression). Just shit the room is very dirty bed were very Bad shit is 1m wide 1 long, 9 rooms, 3 power outlets work only 2 members of staff very rude a beer 2:50 in the Lobby and in the room drinking ban never again.

Great location, we still strongly advise this hostel, is somewhere else you are certainly better off. The lady at check in was friendly, but was again and again from your screaming superiors (? ) interrupted, the whole thing took a very long time and had immense fremdschäm character. The room was very dirty and after a shower was the entire bathroom under water, a puller it was not. All inventory is substandard. The hostel is also probably a asylwohnheim, as single females, we felt very uncomfortable there. As we are a member of staff approached have, we were very disrespectful treated us was, in principle advised simply not to the reception/lobby to come. We certainly never come again.

It was everything perfect! The staff always helps with problems and even if we have new year's eve were there and you actually expected it to be pretty loud, we have hardly anything from our neighbors in the Hostel belongs to. The location is just perfect and we were very very satisfied. This year new year's eve, we go back to the Metropol Hostel Berlin.

The location is just excellent, right next to the U-bahn station, which means that u can get anywhere in a short period of time. So u will save lots of time. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. They will answer all of ur questions, so u don't need a guide book:P The Wifi conection worked just perfect. The room r really clean, and actually they r quite big. Hot water 24/7. I could drop in my luggage before check in and and even after check out. In fornt of the hostel is situated the best Curry Wurst place in Berlin — Curry 36, which is must try. There is also really good kebap place! I will be back for sure. Thanx for the excellent stay Metropol Hostel.

My name is Angel, 24 years old. I visited Berlin in November and Stayed in Metropol Hostel and completely loved it. The location was very important for me and my friend as we had just couple of days to spend in Berlin and the hostel has a perfect location in my opinion. Furthermore I really liked the common area, the staff was very helpful and friendly as well. All in all we really liked the atmosphere, I reccommend the hostel to other travelers, wondering where to stay in Berlin. And never underestimate that the Mustafa's Kebab and 36 Wurst are just in front of the hostel, it is very helpful with difficult mornings :) ).

We are since 2010, each year with a large group in the Hostel. The support is great, we feel right at home and always come back happy. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the staff very friendly. In the Lobby there is space for about 50 Personan, what for us as a group is very nice. Tip: If you have problems, make a Wish or the like have, speak with the staff, were here for us always individual arrangements according to our needs.

Discriminatiing. Got to look like money. Or these fuckers don't even let you get till the reception. Arrogant Turkish security. No go, if on a budget and looking like.
