Great location, very good breakfast.

Discreet Hotel, close to the Natural Science Museum and a Metro stop with which you can get to the center of Berlin.

What I really am convinced of was the breakfast.
For only €3 a mega selection — all fresh ingredients and plenty of choice to eat.
The staff was very friendly.
Central location and close to everything you need.
The Wi-Fi was not working but I should have told you about it personally;)
My entrance to the shower was not very large — only suitable for narrow people.
I think, however, if guests come that would not fit in there, there are other rooms too.
Highly recommended.

Very nice staff, but many more bed rooms, school classes, very noisy on the corridors. More hostel than hotel. Not recommended for business trips as it is noisy all night.
The breakfast is very good, there was everything the heart desires. And I would like to make a positive assessment that towels and bedding are pleasantly fragrant, not to Essigbad, as in the big chains. It was also all shipshape clean.

The rooms were clean and cleaned every day. The breakfast was varied and quite adequate. The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Unbeatable for the price. There was also a parking ticket for the car.

The hotel itself is okay. I think the room was very comfortable. Cleanliness not guaranteed throughout (hair in the bathroom, stains on towels). Breakfast, however, was the purest catastrophe. Room too small, with full capacity not enough seats. When I wanted to go to the buffet there were no more buns, no coffee either. One person was responsible for the buffet and had a right to be overwhelmed. Very questionable human resources policy. I would choose another hotel next time.

Rooms are OK. However, cleanliness leaves nothing to be desired. Keywords: hair on the bed and stains on the towel.

The hotel was clean and it had everything it needed to have, some rooms were a little small (I slept in a room for 3 people and we barely had the space to move around) but aside from that, it was okay. It's near the station, you have to walk for a little while but it's not too far, so that's good.

Simple but well equipped hotel. Modern rooms. Sufficient breakfast.

This is not a place for a romantic vacations with you a partner. This is a place that you would use if you want to save a little bit of money. Hotels are expensive in Berlin and this one comes with breakfast, plus the breakfast is amazing. If you are coming to Berlin the least you going to do is sleep, then this is your place.

If you are looking only to stay in a Hotel within the budget and to roam around Berlin City, then this Hotel is ideal choice.

Great location, 8-10min walk to Berlin central station and 20 mins walk to Brandenburg Gate. Rooms might become noisy during summers when window needs to be kept open. Simple, old-fashionably decorated room yet cosy and comfortable. Buffet breakfast had quite a variety for meat-lovers, vegetarians and vegans.

Location in the vicinity of a subway station also nearby M hotel very poorly indicated at the top of a sunken street building.

It's located in a great location. The rooms are good for their purpose and we love the balcony. The only downside is that we're used to maybe a fridge or something but it's just a room with a toilet and shower. Simple and good enough but lacks extra's. Nice employees though.

Pretty Central. Only two flaws the Wi-Fi syndicated non existent and on the last day I took a cold shower because it was draining the water heater. It shouldn't happen.

Very strange Hotel. The kennels are rude and arrogant. I didn't like the hotel.

We have booked for 4persons and a 5 bed rooms. White doors that have a dirty (black border). Zimnertür is covered with dust, is probably already been wiped dust. Sink with SOAP smeared. Toilet paper holder is not clean and an unpleasant stuffiness. Trppich is ver grids, where you better not walk without shoes and furniture are quite old. We won't be back here.

Hotel housed in the upper floors of a residential complex.
The reception is on the fifth floor.
The rooms are simple.
The furniture is basic and a little tired.
A lot of dust behind the bed.

Can troubleshoot in case of need but without more.

It's clean and the room is quite big for one person, I mean I stay for two night just one person, but the give me a three people room. Also, the cleaning after the first day I live in was also good. The location of this hostel is easy to find, near the sightseeing site. I think the only negative point is the Wi-Fi, it's too slow for me. But l am not that Internet addicted, so if you really need a fast internet connection, this hostel might not be your first choice. By the way, the breakfast is great and for free!

Small hotel perfect when it is 2. A breakfast that sends paté. A bit out of the way but still close enough to the tourist spot.

Very good hotel, perfect for a short stay, well located and affordable. The rooms are large and clean, the breakfast is plentiful, the reception is open 24 hours. Only small downside: the temperature of the shower, not always stable in the morning!

I have only one word: dishonest! We booked 3 double room for 4 nights becuase we wanted to celebrate Easter with my son. Unfortunately we had to cancelled the reservetion one week before becuase a tumor has been diagnosticated to my son-in-law's father. My son went to cancel the reservetion and the woman at the reception said that it was everithing ok. In my reservetion contract it was written that you could cancel the booking 14 days in advance free of charge. The woman at the reception said to my son that it was probably a typo mistake. Since we didnt' get any e-mail or confirmation of the cancellation, my son called them again. He found another woman and she said that there was another room booked and that I should write an e-mail to them to confirm the cancellation of each room. She also said that there was one room left and since if it could be possible to send an e-mail to confirm the cancellation. So the answer was that we had to pay 90% of the amount for the 3 double rooms. My son called them again and they said this are the roules. After only 1 hour we checked and the hotel was fully booked again. I would raccomended to anyone to go to this hotel. They are dishonest and they take money from misfortune of the clients.

Service bad of solemnity to date 18/10/2013

Was in single room from 08 to 13 sept 2013. Very nice attic room. Reception is closed from 23:00. Breakfast included. I paid around 80€ per night. 20-25 mins walking from friedrichstrasse s bahn station Pros: Very nice room, clean, good bathroom. Cons: Breakfast included omelette and various cheese types on the first day that dissapeared for the rest of the week. I would say that the price justifies a better breakfast.

As a hotel that doesn't offer keys to its guests to get in the main door, Mikon Eastgate Hotel Berlin must seriously consider an alternative entrance system to one it currently uses. After a brilliant but long day in Berlin, me and my mother were left ringing the downstairs buzzer for half an hour at midnight before being let in to the hotel. This was after buzzing, telephoning reception numerous times with no answer, and walking to another nearby hotel for shelter and to continue telephoning waiting to be let in. I find this particularly hard to justify, not least because we are two single women left in the dark late at night the day after a torrential thunderstorm. This is in addition to being left outside for 10 minutes on the day we arrived. I do not expect this from any hotel — especially after paying 195 Euros. We took up our complaint with the reception and were insultingly offered 5 Euros off our bill. After suggesting we might be allowed two free hire-bicycles for the day at a total cost of 20 Euros (or nothing to the hotel) we were again insultingly offered one bicycle. I believe our request was very well justified and adequately fair. With this in mind we want to thank the Nordic Hotel Berlin Mitte just up the road for being so welcoming and allowing us to use their reception and telephone to ring the Mikon Eastgate to be let up to our room. We won't be using the Mikon again or recommending it to anyone.

What you need to spend a few days with an excellent quality price.

I stayed here for 1 night. It was awesome. I had a huge room with a master bad and huge bathroom with shower. Breakfast was OK. Price was also OK. I would take it every time again.
