Reviews of a&o München Hackerbrücke
Centrical
Very cheap
Friendly staff.
Staff very nice and helpful. There's nothing bad to say about that, but:
The room is tired. Hair in the toilet and mold in the shower tray. TV only works conditionally via mini screen. The floor was not laid properly… 😅
The breakfast was very adequate despite corona, but the margarine and honey from the best-before date had already expired.
It was my first time in a hostel. So no much info to compare. Sharing a room with people you dont know is always a surprise. Snoring is the worst for me. The 4 days I stayed, the room was never cleaned I think because from 5 pm to mid day there was always someone in the room. The very good thing was the mattress, the price and the position. You can easily reach the city center by walking — 1, 5 km, or take a public transport right outside the hostel — electric cable bus.
It's a good location and kindly personal. Thanks.
I've been to a&o hostels in two different cities and they were two different world.
This one was absolutely the worst.
Dirty room, never cleaned during our stay (4 nights).
Dirty bathroom and dirty building.
we also asked more than one time at the desk to kindly have a room cleaning, they said "yes, sure! " but never did.
The position is good, you can easily reach the city center in less than 30 minutes by walk, or take a public transport right outside the hostel.
I'll probably keep going to a&o hostels, just not this one.
I can't say, would be rebooked to Laim. Rooms would be ok for the price. Not enough bed linen and towels. Although we had booked over a week earlier. Breakfast was measured, hard rolls, eat standing in the lobby. Sorry doesn't work at all. Then that was a breakfast for maybe three euros. Service equal to zero.
I'm sorry to read so many bad recessions, I found the stay pleasant. The room was clean and the staff were very nice. It was a bit down, but for 32€ perfectly fitting. I felt the room was quite big for so little money. There are points you could improve but by and large it was ok.
No disabled access as indicated.
Parking we also have to pay despite local hotline for wheelchair users Free.
Condition Room Naja
Clean is something different.
But for the price ok.
The absolutely shabby descent I've ever seen. Incompetent and unfriendly employees. All in all, a dirty hole. Breakfast is the sheer horror, just like the bathroom. Atrocious. If that's a&o standard, never a&o again.
No compliance with hygiene measures
Accustomed rooms.
TV a naughty thing. Age 17 inch screen. Image barely visible.
Room cleaning deficient
Rather a descent than a hostel. Certainly not a hotel.
This disgusting hostel is infested with bed bugs. The staff was incredibly unhelpful when it came to getting rid of them, and only believed us when we came with them and showed them. Also not very clean and bad buffet with dry bread.
Ok stay for one night. Best for kids and young travelers. The hostel is also overrun with kids in the summer months.
For one night stay, it is absolutely fine. But I will not recommend the 6person room. Though, authorities trying to keep it clean, there are so to say difficult people whom you have to share the room with make serious problem.
Good location, friendly staff, clean rooms. Odd thing, for kids beds we had to ask for bed sheets from the reception, I do not know if that‘s a practice in general? No air conditioning in the room, it was quite hot inside so we had to leave the windows open but that was not such a good idea as everybody was smoking on their balcony and we ended up passively smoking ourselves for the whole night.
Panic! I didn't think that in Germany, in principle, there could be such a nightmare!
Dorm! Even women with men are evicted by outsiders.
I fell for a cheap price tag location and regretted it. Very dirty in the rooms, the bedding is not of the best quality, the towel is not given at all. More like a huge dorm in which round-the-clock drinking beer in the lobby, noisy. One plus for me is the location.
Cons: very noisy and dirty. The toilet stinks of urine. Pros: breakfast is enough for everyone, although the set of products and limited. The room is big enough. Not far from the station.
I leave with the saying that the food is absolutely NO, I saw it serve pasta with tomato paste with white and apart they carry a kind of ketchup. Having said that it is very cheap and near the center, it is always full of people and many times the balconies are in common with other rooms. Cleaning vote 6, in the sense that it does not suck but you see that they do not care that much.
In General you spend little and you have little. And very close to the Metro and this is the highlight of this place.
For the price we paid, we expected to have the bare minimum as far as amenities go and just really wanted a decent bed to sleep in. We ended up having a completely different experience that made our stay uncomfortable to say the least. Our mates had a homeless man sleeping in their bed, which they had to notify the front desk about. When confronted with the situation, the service people told my friend that everything was fine when he explained. They either didn't speak English or didn't care. They then tried to bring my friend into a backroom to speak with him, and when he felt in danger or threatened, he video called a close family member to ensure his safety. They proceeded to say "no film" and helped remove the man. After the man was kicked out, our friends found toe nails, bloody sheets, and a wet bed with an unknown substance soaking it. Be careful in booking this hostel.
Was there for 2 nights, far too noisy with all the school kids around, no restrictions or whatsoever, they were even climbing over the balcony in other rooms. I thought pets weren't allowed, me and my friend were grabbing something to eat and when we came back a couple had moved in the same room as us with their dog, I'm allergic to dogs. Wifi was really slow or non existing at all so I couldn't really connect with anyone in my social circle. Wouldn't recommend the place.
The hostel is good but very far from everything, nothing central.
I stayed for 2 nights in A and O hacker Bridge and must say that I am very happy overall. The rooms are OK and the breakfast offers very wide variety.
What is particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of the staff. A receptionist named Roman did, though very busy, had a quiet and competence aired, which was remarkable.
I had problems with the TV, because my predecessor apparently took the aerial cable, which is why I had to go back to the reception, whereupon he set up the entire TV within 5min.
So friendly staff probably have the fewest hotels in Munich.
Nice place to spend the night, is not expensive and the rooms are ok.
Varied and Super refectory, friendly staff, good rooms and facilities.
It is a very comfortable and clean place. If you are going to share room it is more economical but still have double rooms. It has an elevator, a view of the street and avenues. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are clean, have bathtub, soap, shampoo and even dryer. They even have space as a dressing room and another as a vanity, very complete. The tourist places are not very far, but not so close. The hotel is located approx. 4 stations by light rail from the central estacióm of trains.
It has a bar, although it is very small just like the living room.
Great experience! Low Price (one night about €30) and comfortable rooms! Bed supplied with sheets, pillowcase and blankets; in bath tub with shower, hand soap, soap for shower, phone, shorts, paper towels. Check in from 3pm is not possible before and check out at 11am. The location is good: walking are about 30 minutes to get to downtown, while within walking distance there is the tram stop that connects with the center in a few minutes! Great for those who like us reached Monaco by bus: Station at 750 meters.
The biggest point of criticism is cleanliness. During my stay the 6 person room was not even cleaned. Also, the size of the room was way too small for 6 people. The only plus is the cheap price.
We are a fifth outing of an Italian high school. As soon as we arrived we immediately noticed the malfunction of the elevator and we had the room on the fourth floor. After going through a long hallway, we open up a horrendous view, our rooms had the front door on a terrace. The sheets presented unidentified brown and yellow patches. After going to the front desk to ask to change them, they were insulting parties in German. From the faucet of the bathroom came out of the brackish water and the obvious smell of sewage. The dinner was poor and unorganized, we made a long line to sit on dirty tables and find hair in our miserable portion of food. It was the ugliest experience of our lives.
When we arrived we had to take the beds ourselves, but that wasn't so bad. The dinner was not the big hit, but it wasn't bad either. The breakfast was great, there was a large selection of sausages, cheeses, yogurt and cereals but also various buns and bread. There was also a wide selection of drinks. If you are there for more than a day, you should take your own drinks as you have to press at reception for a small bottle of water (0, 5 L) or juice or Cola 2, €70. The rooms are moderately equipped, the bathroom is very small in the hostel, but it was adequate for us.
Hotel and hostel at the same time, helpful and capable staff, multiple spacious rooms with ensuite bathroom, few spaces for smokers. The most confusing part of the hostel is let go.
I had a very acceptable experience with A&O in Berlin and therefore also booked in Munich. Unfortunately, the ventilation in the bathroom (quote) was loudly 24/7, while the heating at — 10 degrees outside temperature was defective. This condition was not corrected despite the hint. Other guests seemed to go similarly. I can therefore not recommend the A&O Hacker Bridge, as a customer the chain has lost me too.
Booking not confirmed due to errors in the online system, but money is still debited. Then you have to call at least 4 times at a central (! ) and every time (because of course other employees) tell everything again. Friendliness on the phone is also different… Prefer to spend a little more money in order not to have to give up this sh…
It is a good place where you can spend your holidays. It is very cheap. The structure is located near the train station. The rooms are quite clean. The service is very good for the price. It is a very good hostel for school trips.
My 15-year-old daughter was in the hostel for 2, 5 weeks because of an internship in Munich. Booked was a 6-er Mädelszimmer. However, my daughter was too cramped. A super nice staff at the front desk then looked for another room for you and found a nice 4 bed room for you. This room she had then all the time on her own and was thus very happy! Very nice staff and great location of the hostel. We know where we will stay for the next visit to Munich again at a reasonable price!
Thanks to the fair the price was so overpriced that you could have expected a 5 * hotel at other times. Breakfast for 7, — euro also overpriced. Underground garage goes up to a maximum of 152 cm height, so unfortunately also very limited.
Pros: Good coffee, nice breakfast, great service at front desk, good security lockers, and good bedding. Cons: One of the lights in my dorm didn't work, lock on the washroom door didn't work, I was told my towel and sheets were in my room but they weren't so I had to go back to reception and get them. I was somewhat content with the value of accommodation I got for my money.
Unfortunately, this hotel does not have the level of other A and O hostels. The water for showering was either hot or cold a middle did not exist. No plug is provided for the bathtub. Otherwise it has just come in the years. The staff is friendly and the location is very good. 5 minutes by tram to Central Station and approx. 10 minutes to Marienplatz Square.
A star for the room: it seems that not even the blankets and pillows as dirty of yellowish spots;
However rooms are narrow enough to the contrary of the doubles.
The tiles do not work and every time, to enter, you have to do 3 or more plans to take the pass (VIP).
Second star for its strategic location.
Not recommended for schools that come for school trips, especially if you have to stay for more than a day.
Short walk from the train and bus station. Rooms and bathrooms were plenty clean and usable in the 8 bunk hostel room I stayed in. They also had delicious food and drinks. I would recommend starting here for the price.
I stayed in an eight-bed dorm from 23 December till 27 December 2017, and the stay was good. The hostel is clean and comfortable. Two of the most positive aspects of the hostel were its excellent location and low cost. The hostel is situated right in front of Maarstrasse tram station, from where tram 17 goes to central train and bus stations (You can also walk to the Munich central station in 20 minutes and bus station in 10 minutes from the hostel). It is a good place for backpackers and students looking for cheap stay in Munich.
Super discouraged! It was a very clean Hotel. Also at any time of night you get woken up by the screams of some drunken guest who decides to stay in the hallways. The cards to open the door were not working so we always had to go to reception to make them reactivate. The cleaning ladies rude and obnoxious. They entered without even knocking in the rooms, one morning they surprised me and my boyfriend in his underwear while we were preparing, on my request to wait 5 minutes, they answered banging the door in my face. A real nightmare. I will never go back.
This place reminds us of the rotting catacombs. Guests are welcomed into a damp and stinky lobby, the insiders have the mental brilliance of a YouTuber and the versatility of a paraplegic. Vietnam war-style rooms with pubic hair everywhere and blemishes of phlegm in each where they crown such idyllic place. Smashed furniture and plans designed by a trisomic complete this exhaustive and painful experience, which was my stay. The only things to save are the very affordable price (20-30 euros per night per person + 7 Euro gaunt and shitty breakfast) and the proximity to the stops of Maillingerstraße and Hackerbrucke. If you feel the lack of epidemics or simply look for the cheapest way to ruin a holiday, I recommend it.
A good place for its price. It might be noisy because of the teenagers. But in total it's a cheap and comfortable place to stay at. In addition, it's close to the bus station.
Best price for a hostel in Munich was here. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Luggage room, Wi-Fi, a bar, wc and vending machines in the lobby. Room was cosy and warm. Bathroom was also useful and spacious. Price changes from day to day a lot and from website to website too, be careful.
Never again. I find it really outrageous that here is cheap and completely worn out and dirty. Breakfast is really not possible to eat.
For such a stay you should not even pay €20.
A solid five. Clean rooms. It's a decent dining room. Nearby is a very good supermarket with small prices. Ten minutes from the train station. Seven minutes from the bus station.
Great location and good price! All clean and nice staff.
I can't even join the bad reviews when I book a hostel, I don't expect a five star hotel. You definitely get what you pay for.
Great hotel in great location!
Nice, Young & open-minded staff.
Only unfortunately the feathers of the mattress can be felt clearly. They might have to be exchanged!
Very noisy establishment, due to work in the street all week, but also to the attendance… We had chosen a dorm room and were found with some dubious people. Poor quality bedding.
The establishment accepts the regulations only in cash, no cheque or credit card…
Modest hotel, but its clean and the staff is really friendly. There is a bar, where you can drink a beer or watch sport. Wi-Fi is free and good. It was a little bit cool in the room during the night so I give 4 stars. Bath is wide and clean. The room is clean. Good for the price you pay.
The worst A&O House we've ever stayed in. So far we enjoyed good to very good (Vienna, Berlin and Venice). The hacker bridge, however, has run down. Our bathroom had mold, a broken blanket (bubbles under the paint), in the room we had spotty wallpapers. A&O must urgently remediate here. What was good? It was cheap, the breakfast OK. But I prefer to spend more and feel comfortable.
Still what, the pictures here on Google do not seem to originate from here. Our room looked different, the breakfast room definitely has no windows!
(+)
Location: Very good friendliness staff: very good Buchungsablsuf or expiration upon arrival or When checking in.
(0) cleanliness — in order condition of the room/house — sometimes somewhat disaccustomed… Ex: Balcony, general premises etc. But for the price okay.
(-)
Only a small lift for (as with us) a six-storey building wing. Long wait and then the lift is very often busy etc… Especially when in the hotel those times are at which a — or is taken out.
Breakfast was simple but the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, there is only sausage from Turkey. I don't like turkey meat. Some variety or An alternative would be desirable. Turkey meat also has no very good reputation in terms of the use of antibiotics in production etc. Is there in the rankings very far down etc…
Cheap, and that's why it's very crowded. It is clean, there is bar service in the lobby, good beers and a good price. Close to public transport but in a regular location.
To flee! Presence of bed Fleas! Avoid this hostel at all costs!
Pretty roomy room for 6 people. The building seems old and a bit dirty, but the bed was clean. Not really designed for sharing shower, toilet, and sink — they're not in separate rooms. Breakfast was quite nice for a hostel. Good quality bread. Walking distance to the city center and Oktoberfest.
Been here for business. Unfortunately Octoberfest happens to be in Munich so the rate is extremely high. Considering a usual price of 50€ a day (single room), it fits the need somehow. It smells in the ground floor, but staff and Room is OK. During Octoberfest additional security staff was engaged. This saves the 3rd Star.
The Wi-Fi doesn't work very well. The appliances of entry of the houses or the map (I do not know…) Do not work well and you have to go down to reactivate it each time.
We enjoyed our time in this hostel. It was very clean and well organized. The personell were friendly and helpful. I would come back to this place, should I come to München again.
The property has a good location compared to public transport, in front of the tram and close to the trains, all available with the same ticket, and anyway with a walk of about 30 minutes you are in the center; It has a very good value for money; Clean, quiet (we had a family room facing the back), comfortable beds, reception staff very helpful and courteous, Wi-Fi in the whole structure, parking available a few euros in front, but eventually it is provided one from them at a price slightly higher. The service of the breakfast is not comparable: the cleanliness leaves much to be desired, the attendants use the same gloves to clean the tables and the floor, and then to supply the trays of the buffet, including that of the toast and of the bread which is taken with the hands (read gloves).
There were bedbugs in the bed. Hostel policy: they did not even changed the rooms and not even gave me back the money for the night that I had not spend yet. I do not recommend this place, worst experience for me with more than 20 bedbugs bites in my arms and legs, and no bed to lay down at the last night.
Hotel 4 stops from the center with small and basic rooms but clean and at prices among the lowest, very reminiscent of the environments of the ships… free buffet Breakfast.
The location is a bit of a walk from the Hackerbrücke S-Bahn, but there is a tram line stopping right in front which was super convenient for us. The 6-person hostel room was good, large. We enjoyed that our roommates were quiet. It was also nice to have our own bathroom, which was clean. Luggage storage is convenient. Main common space is a bit small, and hard to spend time in (seats do not have backrests). Overall nonetheless satisfied with the service delivered, especially for the price we paid.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. Wi-Fi was accessible in the lounge and the room. Locker facilities were very handy. Soap was provided in the bathroom which I find very convenient. The only improvement that could be made, is speeding up the check-in process or getting more people to help with that when check-in starts, as the queue was very long and took a lot of time.
Hostel for large groups and with very few demands. Mediocre rooms: For the teachers quite clean, in precarious hygienic conditions those of the students. Breakfast and dinner to forget.
Simple, Spartan but cheap. You meet interesting people: mostly young homeless workers and looking for it…
Don't trust yourself outside. Nice as all.
We booked this hostel as a fallback because in the Christmas period it was sold out, we were very amazed. We paid 12 euros apiece in a 6-seater room. Everything was very clean and also the sheets were included in the price. In the price is included a rich rich buffet breakfast really delicious-
We were really very good. A tram below the hostel leads into the center 5 minutes… I would definitely recommend… Each room has a private bathroom with a private balcony… council.
The location is great, rooms are big and service is minimal, but you pay for what you get. A bit more of a party hostel than I had hoped, but overall a very enjoyable place to stay.
We were 3 days with the class there. What I saw there was terrible. We arrived at 12 noon and then it was said the rooms are only done at 15: 00. Our cases were in the luggage room. Then we came to the room. It was dirty as a prison recalled. In the bathroom everywhere hair the runoff did not mold and mildew. So not to be recommended. Many people from the meadows come down there. In a class, a used condom on the balcony when my teacher was splashing in the bath. If you want to not going to Munich just to this hotel. The people at the front desk have not properly accepted our complaints. You have only dirt is always out talking to or the janitor check that everything is good. Staff and security were hardly any german. Never again.
Mixed experience … Excellent location near city centre, with tram and s-train-station very near. The rooms are fine, but with lots of school classes not so quiet. The bathrooms smell a little bit and are abslutely outdated. The personnell is absolutely friendly and supportive, though.
We came here without great expectations, based on the previous reviews, and our expectations were undercut. Respect at this point! About our door stuck a handkerchief used, perhaps even fully onaniertes, what already n' is a bit disgusting. On our Cabinet, was unidentified, oblong black thing, which is very reminiscent of a human legacy. In the bathroom, everything full of mold and dust, which suggests, was that the putzteam spends more time at the coffee machine, as they should. Also a dear gentleman on the floor above us spat room enjoyed one on the head. Props to you at this point. Gg.
All in all I would find reasonable a price of 50 cents per night, with 40 because of breakfast on it. Thank God, we had to spend a night here.
Too bad a & o, but it's more stable!
We have made a final trip to Munich with 6 people. The room was relatively small, 1 bathrooms for 6 persons is also something little. It had mold on the walls in the shower, the shower curtain was also shabby. The toilet seat was completely torn through with us. On some towels had stains on it. The beds must be involved himself and fresh towels must be requested at the reception. The room Windows have we honestly not really married and therefore all our locked valuables in the trunk. Person was helpful with us however, it also has a tram stop directly in front of the hostel.
CONCLUSION: It is really not a nice hotel and I would reserve it not twice, but it was okay for a city trip, is also not often in the room.
The A & O Hackerbrücke is centrally located in Munich, and is easily accessible by train. For motorists, who have rented a parking space in the underground garage, a note on the directions would make sense, because the not entering the Arnulfstraße and like half an hour that is needed in rush hour to fight around the block, if it is initially false. The garage itself is worth one cent more than the calculated 12, 50 per day. Ramps, which are only poorly accessible even with a normal station wagon (width approx. 2, 10 m), so that maximum, the rider can get off hang in the Parknieschen. Why hang these ramps there is absent, they are also no longer up — and down mobile, without would do even better certainly.
The service is nice and mostly competent, that one — and check-out expires without any problems. We had not booked breakfast, because there are many nice alternatives in Munich. The hostel/hotel itself is kept very simple, the aisles are narrow, the walls thin and comfortable and the poorly controlled lift for 6 persons too narrow and in peak times overloaded.
We had a relatively large rooms (four beds for two) with a balcony facing the beautiful and quiet courtyard. The balcony was unfortunately dirty (including cigarette butts), but still accessible (until 22.00, after that night's sleep).
Family room was perfect, breakfast are really good :)
NASTY AND BARELY BAREABLE place Got woken up multiple times in a single night because of new guests beeing ammitted really late and to sort out an overbooked room Cracked mirror, lights, tiles. Cigarette smell also in the non smokers rooms since they face on the common balcony. Floors were not even swiped for three days. Broken lockers, I had to store all my stuff in my car's trunk in the morning and retrieve it when getting back for the night. FOR THE "OWNER": spare your "I'll speak with the tenant" replies, this mess should just be closed down. No wonder A&O gets lower-then-average marks in all the facilities in every city. I came back to A&O confident after a couple of years because it was a very nice place back than. Now it's just NASTY.
By far the worst hotel in which I've ever been! Dilapidated, dirty (room not cleaned, not even swept clean, dirty linen or torn! ), sometimes unfriendly staff, rooms not ready although should be serviced until 15:00, safety in dangerous rooms (head of bunk beds not that cover junction box was missing, lamp in the bathroom damaged, …).
Disposable NIEEEEE again!
Completely unsafe: Our room was broken into twice while we were in it! The first time, only my little sister saw the people. She woke us up to tell us that two men had come into the room and looked around, but we thought she probably had been dreaming. We checked the lock and lay back down in bed. Five minutes later, we heard someone coming in again. Because we were in a family-style room, the floorplan was laid out so that when you first opened the door into our room there was a little hallway with a bathroom and the bedroom opening off of it. Between this little private hallway and the bedroom there was a second door. This second door was not lockable, but when the guy came in the first door, we slammed this second door shut and pushed on it so he couldn't come in to where we were (he was in our private hallway part). When we wouldn't let him in, he threatened us, but eventually left. We then called the front desk and they said that they would send up a security person, but no one ever came. We then examined our deadbolt more carefully and discovered that it was not working. However, the room still should not have been accessible (you need a specific key card), so this means that somehow this person had gotten a card to our room. We then packed up our things and left, because the room was obviously completely unsafe (not physically lockable, and someone had a card to our room and wanted to come in).
Cleanliness is to the puke everywhere dust weave towards the alleged balcony is closed and the worst thing is that this is also the escape route to the fire stairs so it is hindered in an emergency because to save himself. An elevator is broken and the other is blocked by foreign groups and littered door does not close properly. The soil sticks everywhere and in the breakfast room it smells like erbrochem. The volume of the foreign travel groups can hardly sleep one. We went here with very low expectations but we also could not count. The whole bathroom is full of mold. I know not at all to where to start and where to stop. The ramp for pushchair is directly next to the ashtray and thus whatever is blocking… Rubber mattresses… The bed itself has to be involved… We maintain glad to have our own cot… The corridors it smells constantly cold cigarette smoke although everywhere hang signs with no smoking sign.
Prefer 0 star : (the worst hotel we jeeee have seen dirty up to the is no longer… I ask myself whether it is a sport hotel because here are all just football players and give in the night and noon no calm… This nothing of a sport hotel was!?! 1. Are Windows completed 2. Duvet cover do you? You when there's something? 3. Only hair especially in the restrooms are the hotel as an ugly asylum seekers home do the not fooled pictures! Recommendation: 0!
I don't know where to start.
My first impression of this descending was: dirty construction site.
At 8 o'clock in the morning, we arrived with our class, and were allowed to have breakfast directly. To do this, we had to fight us a half construction site and freshly painted walls which left her dark blue color on my clothes. We entered a room that was not designed for people over 1, 85 m by one-ton steel door. It reminded more of a bunker from World War 2 — they called it breakfast room. Dirty plates and soft rolls were standard. The there accessible toilet was unreasonable. The men, toilets opulence the faeces of the walls. The ladies were moldy bread Klos.
Then, in the afternoon, we entered our room. There were 3 cards for our 6 bed rooms. What forced us to stay always in touch and to live with constant fear, not more to come up to our room and to wait for the herunterhekommenen corridor. Behind the mirror in the bathroom were rat skeletons, on the ground and in the bathtub hair. The bath / shower combination was designed for people up to 1.50 m.
The balcony conformed to the overall picture of the hostel.
I asked for another card for our room and she got even, but without any identification, so that any Hans and Franz could get a card. The employees could hardly german and not understood what we wanted, and said only: Yes.
The worst hostel where I was jeh. The rooms are dirty in the bathroom hatt's mold the room looks as if it's the last time a year ago a broom seen hatt. In the entrance area it had cockroaches and staff I want to not even start… jah there goes!
Filthy lodging facilities (traces of blood and holes in the sheets), pillows as little thick as the duvet. Poorly insulated, and radiators stuck on the max. I strongly advise against it!
There I have a bed in a 6 — bed room booked. We begin with the bocklosen and unmotivated receptionist with your smartphone was busy. When checking in I had a sheet of with my data, fill form, however was my identity card not time looked at the I think for very questionable, it offends clearly against the statutory provisions and provides potential criminals are very good options in this hostel. The rude receptionist forgot me also the fresh bed and kissenbezuege to give. To the room, we can say that this is very dirty are inclusive of semen stains can on the cushion, wc is also pretty messed up. In a 6-bed room, it is just so you have lucky, with the burned, in my case I had a Bank teller (all ok) and however loopy volldeppen in the night almost puked and in the middle of the night several times to call loudly: "moege God be with you" well, that's just bad luck, however, because of the uncontrolled booking, of course, in the night everything possible… overall conclusion: a Park bench is almost safer and definitely cleaner has : "moege g was my passport not even looked at,
Nothing organized, take a lot in to make the check-in. The internet is terrible and the rooms stink. I do Not recommend for anything this hostel.
Perfect place to sleep at night. S-Bahn is pretty close.
A star to forgive is really to much but here it is not so different! Shortcomings: 1. Mice in the room 2. Dirty bathroom (urine stone) 3. The rooms are dirty 4. Stains on the duvets (blood, urine, and other not definable spots) 5. Doppelbelegungen of rooms it can be the time at once strange people in your room come! 6. A police operation during stay 7. Run down (Old furniture, the plaster comes from the walls, etc) 8. Partly unfriendly staff 9. It is noisy (street noise, loud guests, etc) The Only thing I can positive is the Breakfast was really not bad. Dear readers of this review, I have neither exaggerated nor made false statements in these defects, I have in the 5 days stay found and I recommend you NOT to go THERE!
BARELY BAREABLE: I stayed there only because at least at the beginning it seemed (note: SEEMed) clean and I had better to do then wasting my vacation looking for a new place to stay. DISORGANIZED: got woken up multiple times in a single night because of new guests beeing ammitted really late and even overbooking the room! NASTY LOOKING: cracked mirror and mirror lights, lots of broken tiles, cigarette smell (also in the non smokers rooms since they face on the common balcony). DIRTY: floors were not even swiped for three days (but this only appeared clearly on the last one…) OTHER: the lockers need a very big lock otherwise this will slip through the huge hole and leave the locker unlocked (I had to store all my stuff in my car's trunk in the morning and retrieve it when getting back for the night). FOR THE "OWNER": spare me your "I'll speak with the tenant" replies, I don't care; this mess should just be closed down. No wonder A&O gets lower-then-average marks in all the facilities and in every city. I came back to A&O confident after a couple of years because it was a very nice place back than. Now it's just nasty.
Lowest quality hostel I stayed in my entire trip. Shower drained poorly, leaving me standing in a puddle. Washing machines did not work, went to a nearby laundromat instead. Always a LONG wait at the front desk.
This place is the worst hostel I've stayed at. Its barely okay, being a step above crackheads and bedbugs. However the place is loud and unpleasant, staff are rude and unfriendly and the rooms/bathrooms are dirty. In fact, I notice a previous guest had picked their nose and stuck it to the wall above my bed. I wish I could make that up. I doubt these rooms had been properly cleaned since they were built.

Let me start by saying this hostel has a great location. Otherwise, there was only one or two people working reception which means it takes forever to check in because it's so busy. Upon check-in we were told we needed to pay extra for bedding (sheets, etc) That's absurd but we booked as non-refundable so we reluctantly agreed. We made a comment about not visiting here again. Then got told we got lucky and got bumped to a private room for our 4 night stay. The beds were softer than the A&O hostel we were at the few nights before, so I was pleased with that, and the room was much larger. However, no sign of room cleaning/restocking. Never replaced towels and I had to go ask reception for more toilet paper. We found the one English music station to leave on at night to drown out the constant slamming of doors. The breakfast was decent for the price. Overall wouldn't recommend unless you're looking for a place in a pinch.
