Location near military school metro, close to the Eiffel Tower and located in a semi-pedestrian and shopping street, very nice and convenient. Friendly and available staff. Room correct, sdb a little small. Breakfast varied, go there no later than 9:30 to have all the choice available.

For us it was in the perfect location a lot was in walking distance About 5 or 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower Rooms are clean No lack of places to eat.

Great location for strolling along to a bar or restaurant, and the market stands are very handy to buy produce for snacking. I always had help when needed at the front desk, even when I needed a doctor nearby. (and it was NEARBY). I stayed at the Hotel Leveque in 2015, and I am coming again to Paris this July. I'm looking forward to my stay at Hotel Leveque again.

I have traveled through Paris many times. My stay at the Grand Hôtel Lévêque was not on the top of my list. It is a quiet street. The location is off the beaten path and a bit far from things happening. It was a nice change of pace for this reason. The staff was often hard to find and not very accommodating. Often seeming confused. All in all, the location is okay and quiet, but the service was sub par. Rooms are standard. Not on the top of my list of places to stay. Management could be better.

Lovely location so easy to get to all the attractions, street easy access to restaurant and few shops for snacks or souvenirs. The staff very friendly even to us not so good at speaking French people and very helpful if asking questions. Nice breakfast each morning and some exercise walking to our room on 4th floor if didnt fancy riding in the compact lift :)

Great location with street cafes and fresh produce stands as you walk out the door. Easy access to bus stops and subway stations.

This hotel is overwhelmingly bad for what it advertises. There is no view of the Eiffel tower, except for one room at the very top of the hotel and you can barely see the tip of the tower. The rooms are abysmally small, even for European standards. The Wi-Fi cuts out for 30 minutes at a time, and then only works for around 10 minutes at very slow speeds. The air conditioner wakes you up in the middle of the night with what you think sounds like someone opening your door. So, at least you feel awake but not refreshed in the morning, gripping onto your pillow hoping someone doesn’t invade your room. The area is nice but it is overpriced because it is on Rue Cler and it caters to tourists with some places being better than others. The hotel staff: The staff is decent for European hotels, but they aren’t the nicest. I was waiting in line to pick up my room key at the front desk after exploring Paris one day. While waiting in line, I noticed that the front desk attendant was giving the person on the phone who had a question about booking the rudest attitude he could. He was berating her about how simple it was to book on their website and eventually hung up on her because there was “too many things going on”. There was literally only another couple and I waiting for room keys in line.

We just spent 10 days in Paris. Our room was very comfortable and all the staff was very friendly. They are doing some updating but we never felt put out. My mother absolutely loved the big windows in our room. She loved looking out onto the street below and watch the vendors and people. The only thing these Americans found odd is there are no wash cloths. But as we found out it's a common thing in Europe and London. The breakfast was adaquate. It is definately different from what Americans are used to. Rooms were clean and the air conditioner worked well. The one thing that totally thru me for a loop was the size of their elevator! The thing is the tiniest thing I"ve ever seen! You can get 2 large suitcases inside but then you can't fit! I am already planning a trip back with my husband and will be staying there again! Good location, just 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. They serve a continental breakfast for 10 euros but, never ate there. It has a lot of good restaurants nearby so finding a place to eat wasn't a problem. Also they have a supermarket just next door. Our room was clean, had air conditioning and was really comfortable. The only bad thing was that there were pipes running just behind the door and everytime the guest in the upper floor would shower we could hear the water flowing down. Nonetheless, we would stay here again as we loved the location and the staff was really friendly.

Brilliant location within walking distance of the famous Eiffel Tower. The room although small, was very nice and clean. Reception aren't short of being able to help with questions and can even book hop-on, hop-off tours directly with major providers.

Location is brilliant. It is only 10minutes away from Eiffel tower and there are loads of pretty cafes and restaurants around the hotel. Ecole Militaire (metro station) is 5minites away. For drawbacks, the room might be smaller than you think. 5th floor (where I stayed) was under construction, some staff suddenly took one toilet away from our room while I was away and the other toilet was out of order. So you might suffer sometimes. It would be much better if there were some toothbrushes and toothpaste :)

The hotel is in a very good location, Eiffel Tower 7 min walking distance, transport nearby, lots of shops around, restaurants, coffees all nearby. The rooms were clean, staff very helpful and friendly. Recommended for visiting Paris.

Hotel is in a good area of the town. Staff was helpful. Its just a 10 min walk to Eiffel Tower. It is close to quite a few good restaurants and cafes.

Clean and tidy, bars and eiffel tower is closed. We had good time.

What to say from it?! ITs a 5 stars for me. Stayed 5 nights with my girlfriend. Hotel: Simple but very very charming. Recommended for couples in love.

Nice hotel very clean. Has modern comodoties n a variety of languages spoken by staff. Comfortable beds clean shower. Overall good price fir great hotel.

Third star usurped.
OK but a lot of little touches are still to be improved. Smell of humidity in the room, limestone on the tiled floors and shower floor, torn headboard, imperfect soundproofing, microscopic elevator, TV remote control batteries HS, one and only plug in the room.
Staff however nice. Breakfast was OK. Nice location.
That says unsatisfactory overall quality price ratio.

For such a neighborhood and Paris in General, especially do not go down to this hotel, dark, noisy, with a very small room for 120 euros without breakfast.

Very unkindly staff specially in the black man on the night shift, he tried to make me pay for the days that I had been paid already with another one of the staff (playing). They opened my very small room while I was sleeping. Really, Unprofessional staff. I'll never think to stay at it again.

Great location. An appropriate price. Would easily come again. Air conditioning that actually works. Using some vinegar on the showerheads is a suggestion. Advice is for Parisian hotels as a whole: dropping off a key at the front desk is not safe when I see new people at the desk who give me my key without verifying me. Even a safe-word would be better.

Clean & quiet hotel that is close to everything you need. I will definitely book this hotel again when I visit Paris next time.

I've still to have an exceptional stay at a a Paris hotel. While functional and clean at LGL I find the customer service a little lacking. Perhaps the culture is little abrupt in this way. It would be nicer to have a friendly smile instead of a 'what you want? ' expression. Breakfast is setup by 6:30 but the attendee freaks out if you pour yourself a juice anytime before 7. I mean come on, relax a little, people are on holiday.

The Grand Hotel Leveque is a fantastic, comfortable hotel in a great location close to the Eiffel Tower. The staff, especially Oliver & Francoise go out of their way to make guests comfortable. I have stayed there a total of 20+ nights durin two visits from the USA to Paris in the last several months. … I hope that the GHL management/owners recognize the job being done by employees such as Oliver & Francoise. I'll be back again soon…

Basic accommodation but friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was good room was clean shower/toilet tiny but sufficient. Situated next to a cheese shop so strong smell outside during the day but good central location and walking distance to tower and arc de triomphe.
Reasonable price for location but Paris is very expensive.

I liked it. Quaint and clean. Had a small elevator in the middle which was not great but you could run to the Eiffel Tower from there and not lose your breath.

Asked for Rue Cler view 5 months in advance and didn't get it. : (Was given a courtyard (alley) view instead.

I enjoyed my stay. The location is excellent within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and a metro stop.

Beautiful hotel very well located to 5 blocks of the tower and in a street what there are several local of food, wines, cheeses. Very highly recommended.

Nice room, high price in the absolute (normal in terms of what does it in the district) and very friendly.

Stayed here 6 nights in early August. Excellent location. Near Eiffel Tower, many nice cafes, metro, ATM, and city bikes. Very helpful staff. Clean room, good AC, quiet and reasonable price.

Outrageous: see him their price on a site specializing in the rental of rooms the afternoon (I said: I wanted to change and freshen up before a big meeting) I decided to call them (I hate sites that gorge themselves on the backs of the hotels)
Already when I explain to him on the phone that's the afternoon she blows, it starts well. She put me on hold and then tells me a rate that is double that which was advertised on the site, and when I pointed out she told me that it is not serious and cling to the nose!
Dear if that bothers you to rent rooms and answer the phone I suggest you to change professions!

I stayed at Grand Hotel Leveque in Paris twice in the summer of 2008. I LOVED it! I stayed here becuase is was suggested by Rick Steves, travel writer. The price was very reasonable, the location was great. First trip I stayed in a room that was not yet renovated, and it was fine. Second trip I stayed in a room that was renovated, and it was fine, too. I had a "shared" bathroom and there was never anyone in line for the bathroom, it was alway clean and available to me each time I needed it. The location was very close to everything and I loved all the little shops on Rue Cler. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to everyone.

Rick Steves Would Cry! don't let the pictures fool you… that's not the whole story! We returned to Paris for the 3rd time this November, our last was 12 years ago before our kids were born, and were eager to stay at one of Rick Steve’s favorites (12 years ago) on Rue Cler…Le Grand Hotel Leveque. Needless to say, Rick Steves would cry if he saw the state of this place today! The bathrooms had just been redone/installed when we stayed there 12 years ago & I’d say from the looks of it there has been no maintenance to keep them in a good state! The beds were saggy & the furniture in disrepair. The carpets & bedding were faded & the sheets had holes in them. The towels were scratchy, though appeared clean. The shower pan was not installed level, so it never full drained, which also left a dingy gray on half of it. The room was so stuffed full of beds it had to violate fire code, but they said it did not…I will email a pic to the fire department to verify. This did not meet fire code in other hotels in Europe we have stayed at, hence we always had to book two doubles. Last time, breakfast was included…this time, it wasn’t & rather pricey for the same food you can buy right outside the doorway! On another note, we paid for all our nights when we checked in…4 in total.

While the location was great, note that as of February 2008, this hotel is being renovated… noisily. Renovations are needed, because the room did not live up to the pictures online. Be aware that they are not afraid to book guests right underneath the renovations. Which also wouldn't be so bad except that extended until almost 7pm at night and started before 8 in the morning. Yeah. We could deal with it until the last night when I called twice and visited the manager twice. She not only failed to stop the activity, she refused to comp any portion of a night for this inconvenience. Stay somewhere that actually cares whether you sleep.
