Lovely hotel with cozy rooms. The hotel staff are very kind and helpful! The reason for the four stars was due to lack of sound insulation from the windows looking out onto the Rue. If you are a light sleeper and are there for the weekend, you may not get enough sleep from the pub next door.

I love the professionalism of the bartenders in every situations, I can feel well at ease deput my arrival. Since the time that I live in Paris I recommend it! PS: the sound is very good.

We spent two nights in the Basil hotel and were delighted. Our room was clean, comfortable and cozy. The spacious bathroom with a large Italian-style shower. The staff are very accommodating and very friendly. The reception is open 24 hours a day. The location is perfect (near the Madeleine metro) and the fare was affordable for Paris thanks to the promotion offered. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very welcome, nice room on the ground floor well insulated. You can leave your suitcases on the day of departure.

Best bar in Paris. Best decor … best staff … best music … a brilliant juxtaposition to its locale that still works — tremendously.

Small rooms, a bar just down the street with people singing till late hours, clean, you cannot take your keys out (i don't know why)

60/70s rock & roll music. If you order lid, for them it is a combined dish of several delicacies, they do not bring a list to choose from.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, close to grocery store, bars, shopping, pharmacy, dining and the metro. Down stairs is a modern little bar and seating area with games and tables. You can take your wine, desserts or take out down there to enjoy.

Reasonably priced hotel in the centre of Paris. Very friendly staff. Basic, but still good breakfast. Would certainly recommend the Basile. I did get a couple of courtesy emails from the management, one of which I replied and asked a question or two and did not get a response from them.

Wifi is ver fase, rooms are clean, the rooms and the hotel are ver beautifull and the hotel is on the city centre.

It's a great hotel, the rooms are renovated and clean. The location is really good, close to the Madeleine church, stores, restaurants and metro station. The downsides are the price, but it's Paris… And the shower with low pressure.

We spent three nights in Paris, ordering online to find this hotel. First impression is stylish, it's really good. Very good is very close to the city centre. Service is very good. Personal favorite is hotel staff before you start asking what we have special needs. For example, we call a car to pick us up at the airport, staff really friendly and helpful. Room very stylish, very comfortable, clean and sanitary, super-fast wireless network, which helps us in Paris travel planning and …

A very nice surprise. I found the hotel on internet, I arrived on the airport and a driver was waiting for me with my name on a board. The hotel is brand new, the decoration is very nice and the staff is helpful. A perfect stay. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Stayed ni9ne nights at this little hotel off the beaten path. Getting a hotel room for Americans on their first family trip to Paris for ten days is like booking a cruise — How much time will you spend in the room? Though a little shopworn, the facilities were clean, staff were friendly and tried to be very helpful, easy access to the metro, Opera, shopping, quaint restaurants (where real Parisians eat), rooms were small but comfortable. Couple of dining hints — the Burgonian on the next street east gave the three of us the best meal we had in Paris — and we dined next to seven members of the National Assembly. Another is the Le Roi Pot de Fue — next street to the west — have the pot de fue — like a beef stew and a monstrous serving. Don't eat breakfast at the hotel — walk three blocks to Boulevard de Madeleine and have breakfast at Fauchon (the French equivalent of Starbucks with better pastries). Only disadvantage for families with smaller children (and/or smaller minds) Rue Du Mauroy has about 6 or 8 sex shops on either side of the hotel. Grocery store on the street has a great selection of inexpensive wine (particularly the Bordeax) at about 4-6 euros. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! Great value for the time you actually spend in the hotel.
