We came last year and thought it was a very conveniently placed. With pleasant and friendly staff. The room was clean and comfy.

Very helpful reception, rooms comfortable.

Great position, really helpful staff and our room was a good size.

Good accommodation but need to have more employee that can speak english.

Service was great! All staff were very friendly and gave some great advice. The room was very comfortable and had a nice feel! Great location and close to all the great sites. Highly recommended. Thankyou for our wonderful stay.

All very agreeable. Staff very friendly and willing to help at any time. But when you don't know his language. Very well located. If you are going to eat at Pizzeria Miquel Angelo very close to the hotel ask! The penalty k we discovered the last day.

Four star Hotel with a very good location. In the price line in Paris, small but correct rooms. The bed and pillows were fine. Bath well. Right Buffet but in a very small room. Friendly staff.

What a perfect first experience of Paris, staff and service absolutely wonderful, perfectly situated for 1er and 8e arrondissement sites, we will be back here sans doute.

Great hotel for couples travel but on winter, the bathroom is cold as still old chassis.

Wonderful location central to all your parisian sites, amazing staff and great rooms. We had quite a large room so we got lucky there. But had a amazingly comfortable stay in Paris for 5 days.

Friendly staff eager to help and get the best from your visit, very convenient location to explore the city center, close to the underground, nice rooms (require some renovation though).

The rooms were very comfortable and the room was very small. The cramped hallways and the breakfast room are cramped and narrow. Unusually small for a 4 star Hotel.
Breakfast very fair and until 7 is not available the room service request to a restaurant nearby that depending on the mass of work take more or less to me they gave me the option to go to pick up the food to an Italian nearby and take it to the room and that is not the Room service Concept.

Great location, rooms were small (as to be expected in Paris) but very clean and comfortable. We had views of the Eiffel Tower from our window, which was a lovely extra feature.

Great position around the corner from Madeleine Catholic church, which we saw a Vivaldi chamber concert which was excellent, such a beautiful church, we missed a the gospel Singers unfortunately, hotel is an easy walk to most tourist spots if you like walking. The staff were very helpful especially Marc who directed us on our first night. Breakfast room is compact, just have to work out the best time to go. Restaurants in the area were very good, we had Italian, Chinese and French all great. I would recommend this hotel and it is best to stay at the weekend.

Great clean and roomy place! People at front desk were all happy and helpful. They confirmed all our ventures. Within walking distance to many attractions. Have umbrellas to loan.

Loved it! Ange was very helpful with teaching us the correct terms to use in French and the staff was very friendly! May be a good idea though to let visitors know that there will be a city tax that needs to be paid at the end of their stay. All hotels have to collect it apparently, but advance knowledge would have been informative.

The location is amazing and close to the station. Staff was extremely helpful with helping me getting around the city and planning my trips. Breakfast wasn't too bad but definitely not up to standard.

The Waldorf Madeleine Hotel is ideally located. A few steps from the Place de la Madeleine and very close to the great attractions of Paris.
The rooms are spacious and ideally equipped with minibar, coffee machine, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi.
The staff is exceptional.
I would definitely stay here again for a new trip to Paris.

Almost perfect. One less star as I would have liked the elevator maintenance to be done out of doors. 6 floors to do with a suitcase this is not very convenient.

Excellent location, clean and comfortable rooms. Room with breakfast, however, is rather small.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night after a visit to the Champagne area. I guess this should not be confused with Waldorf Astoria by Hilton. We booked the hotel online and just took the metro to Opera and walked over from there. The check in was fast and we got room 103. We said that we wanted to take care of the luggage but we still got a porter that followed us to the room which was a bit weird. The room looked pretty new upon entering the room with a beige carpet and light walls – but it was quite small and for a second we were like “where is the bathroom”. Most of the room was occupied by the queen sized bed that was soft and to my liking. There was also a desk, a TV on the wall, a coffee machine and a small fridge (one Coke was 4.5€). Wifi was free but we had to get a username and password for each device. The internet was fast but it seemed to drop out from time to time which was annoying. The room was well lit up due to lots of downlights. The bathroom was totally different from the room – it was very modern with all white tiles. And what is the deal with setting up a shower in the bathtub and with no glass panels? From the moment I walked into the bathroom I could see that taking a shower there would lead to splashing of the entire bathroom and I was right. And how can it be that we only got one robe when you have booked a room for two people? The location of the hotel is quite good.

Amazing hotel close to a lot of the attractions in Paris. We were upgraded to a fancier corner room with an amazing view here. Would definitely go back.

A shirt has gone missing from my room. I checked everywhere. Night watch reception guy knows nothing and can do nothing. I would not recommend this hotel. First time in my life (and I travel a lot) that anything has ever gone missing from my room! Minuscule room, but nicely furnished. And I say furnished. There's a minuscule 30cm-deep "desk" and a chair. The rain shower in the bathroom is cute. Not sure I would recommend this room to a couple. I'm alone and feel like i'm stepping on my own toes. Am mostly disappointed in the other hotel necessity. Wifi. It's free, but nothing loads on it. Ever. It's like dialup in 1995. But slower. UPDATE (12-sep-2013) I talked to the manager who didn't care, and called her staff "too stupid to steal". She never replied to my calls, and I never heard back from the theft report I filed with Paris police. Customer service was abysmal, the room small, the Wi-Fi terrible, and something was deliberately stolen from my room. Terrible.

The Waldorf unfortunately is feeling very tired and dated. The first two rooms I was put in hadn't been serviced and the third 'luxury' upgrade felt like it hadn't had any TLC for years. The service staff were really apologetic and nice. Overall not worth the high price point.
