Very small rooms there are no plugs for everyone, only 2 in one room for 4
For him to touch bunk has nowhere to open his suitcase, I had to occupy the bathroom for this.
There are also no lamps if someone arrives too late, turn on the light throughout the room.

Comfortable beds, nice staff, location is great near Garde du Nord.

Very clean facilities. The location is perfect, it is next to the Gare de Nord and Montmartre. There are many restaurants and cafes around. Poor breakfast (croissant, coffee and a can of juice for 4 euros), better go anywhere else.

Poor reception, extremely small room, bathroom of 1m2, … Very unpleasant staff (especially the manager)! But still an ideal location close to the train station and the subway.

It was our second time in Paris and we wanted to stay near the train station so we picked the Smart Stay Hostel/Budget Hotel!
Location wise this was the smartest option in Paris cause we were exactly at a distance of 3minutes by foot from Paris Gare Du Nord. With key stations at walking distance, it was easy for us to access all key tourist attractions with direct connections.
Being close to the station, the area of bustling and vibrant at all times. Smart Stay unlike a lot of hostels in Paris has a lift and is spacious. It has a neat kitchen with a cool common room with enough collectibles from across the world showcasing the kind of travellers that visit here!
Our 4 bed dorm had an attached bathroom, space to keep bags, enough of plug points, a window with a view as well.
The beds were adequately soft and promised a good sleep.
There were lockers as well to keep our personal belongings! The only negative was the lighting system. The bed didn’t have dedicated lighting and the original lighting was not very pleasant.
Breakfast was juice, coffee and typical French croissants!
All worth the penny!

Cloe to Garde du Norde station so easy to catch the metro to many of the sights. Well lit area was not concerned for my safety as a very busy area. I agree wirh some of the comments aboutthe room being hot but we just left the window open for a little while which cooled it off. Friendly staff, small kitchen area only a few tables to share, the benchseat was a bit dubious and probaby in need of repair before it collapses under someone. I would stay yere again.

A cosy place. Good facilities, comfortable beds and attention by staff very good. Something expensive for certain times.

I`ve been in a lot of hostels, this one is for sure one that deserves 5 start rating! Awesome place, good staff, for Paris parameters not that expensive (yes, it`s expensive, but considering Paris, it`s better than the others). Very clean, you can leave you backpack and luggage and take a shower after and before you check-in and out.

If you like sharing a room with strangers who snore and forget to wash their feet, then this is the place for you. En-suite includes dirty bathroom with public hair in sink. Ideal for students who couldn't care less.

Loved this hostel! The staff were so gorgeous and friendly! It was clean, very close to the train station, central to everything you need. I would recommend this hostel to anyone wanting to meet other travelers and see a different side of Paris.

Amazing hostel, they have everything you need. The rooms are really nice. I highly recommend this hostel if you are doing a backpack trip!

Comfortable stay in the heart of Paris.

Last Saturday during the atentats, I was with 2 friends of mine, it was at around midnight, we had nowhere or go, more updates on our phones, we were looking for a place to sleep, or even take refuge to make one phone call and recharge our phones. This hostel has not even opened its doors, and us nicely hung up on the nose from the intercom. Thanks so hospitality and solidarity.

Great location. 5 mins from Gare Du Nord station. Great cafes near by. A supermarket bang opposite the place. Decent kitchen. Friendly staff.

Great Place. Friendly Staff Great Location. If your Backpacking through Paris this is the place to stay!

Reasonable accommodation for a reasonable price, stayed 3 nights with no problems in a private 4 bed ensuite. Staff are friendly and rooms are clean and nice, if a little cramped.
