Very helpful staff. Good screens. Nice place to go with family.

Fatal service … 35 min trying to buy a ticket. The entry and food system in one place is a backlog. The menu is very big the guys who attend go crazy enlisted an order.

I'm hesitant to rate this five stars because I LOVE THIS HOTEL, and I stay here often (I just don't want everyone else to find it either! ). The first thing you'll notice when arriving to the hotel is the amazing artwork that adorns the place. Everywhere is beautiful art. Each room has a theme with multiple works of art by the same artist. It is wonderful to go to a place that doesn't feel like a hotel. The rooms are spacious, the internet is fast and the bathrooms are nice. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Bi-lingual staff (Spanish/English). Get the breakfast option. The coffee/food is worth the small extra fee.

A modern hotel. Nice rooms, a pool on the third floor. Flat screen TV, lots of art on each floor both pictures and statues. Breakfast included (Costa Rican). Very friendly staff, you can arrange trips in the lobby.

Fantastic boutique hotel. The staff were friendly, professional and always willing to help even though in some cases my Spanish or their English was not so good. The front desk staff do speak fluent English though. We were picked up on time by our taxi service at the airport and welcomed to the hotel with a cocktail. The hotel has great art done by local artist. The rooms were clean and tidy. And the hotel is close to a mall which has other restaurants to try. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to Costa Rica.

I stayed there a year ago for a week. I didn’t remember to leave a review until now. Everything was fantastic. Rooms were very clean, breakfast food was always fresh and sometimes there would be a lady making tortillas on sight which was nice. Overall a great experience and very affordable. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed just for one night, but had a very good experience. The hotel is in a nice upscale residential neighborhood, close to lively Escazu. The lobby and the floors are decorated with paintings and sculptures giving the hotel a very bohemian feeling. Room (standard, king bed) was mid-sized, clean and nicely and colorfully decorated in line with the rest of the hotel. The only complaint is that the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. There was free parking and breakfast included, all for ~$80 fare, a great value. It's also a short ride to the airport.

This Hotel is a marvel that meets the concept of boutique. With just over 70 tastefully designed rooms and meeting rooms for executive use, it is a place that selects large firms like Walmart to host their executives visiting Costa Rica. It Has a large collection of works of art and sculptures by famous authors, both Costa Rican and the rest of the world. The prices of their rooms are very comfortable and there are 8 that are equipped for long stays.

Pissed off! Came here for my spouse birthday and this pool is filthy! We have been sitting out here for an entire hour (after 5 staff members have came and stared at the pool) to say they added chlorine this morning. Look at the photos… covered in bugs and air blown filth. Like get a skimmer and clean this thing twice a day. So we ask for a skimmer and they don't have one? We'll do it ourselves. Smh. Definitely won't stay here again. Plus this pool is NOT heated. They do not provide washcloths in the rooms. Over it.

This place is amazing. There are so many beautiful art pieces it's like being in a museum. Comfy and clean, great staff. I would stay again! Coffee and food were fine, good free breakfast. No complaints at all.

Stayed here on our last night in Costa Rica since the hotel was 25 minutes from the airport. Rooms were very nice and clean. The rooftop pool wasn't heated so it was too cold to swim. The breakfast was mediocre at best, some items terribly undercooked and close to inedible. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Check in was quick, booked on Expedia.

Place was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. This hotel was kind of like walking into an art museum. It was perfect for our week stay in Costa Rica and it was in the middle of everywhere we traveled.

Had a very good stay here. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and nice. All of the hotel is covered in art and has a great feel about it. Breakfast was very good as well, a lot of good fresh fruit, rice and beans etc but also some western options. The only negative thing is that walls are quite thin, did not impact our stay though.

We were very pleased. This modern hotel is decorated with a lot of art. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and large enough. The beds very good. The breakfast was excellent, the staff helpful and accommodating.

Excellent local boutique hotel with a good vibe and lots of art on the walls. The pool is cool and refreshing in a hot day. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the price is great.

The studio hotel is AMAZING everyone is so kind. The hotel is very clean. It is so beautiful inside with lots of art work. They have two restaurant one In the hotel that has breakfast and dinner And the other location is out side the hotel along the road.

An excellent boutique hotel, the only type art gallery in all Latin America. An excellent option for those who enjoy art.

The staff and faculties were excellent. The rooms and grounds were clean and well maintained. However the rooms could use some additional sound proofing. Our room was next to the pool and conversations at normal speaking volume were easily heard, and guests walking in the hallway sounded like they were walking through the room. Overall our stay was enjoyable and the breakfast included was fresh and we'll prepared.

About 40 minutes from San Jose airport. Very renovated. Very good service and very nice rooms. A little secluded from commercial areas. Good restaurant.

Excellent choice and very close to everything.

In the lobby there are a lot of nude portraits. This time I didn't bring my kids but I can't imagine the mountain of questions after. To me is ok but I don't think is kids appropriate. Other than that the place is fantastic.

If your reading this review book the hotel. We just checked in and have to say. We were very impressed with both hotel and staff. The pool deck is also amazing. Fully stocked grocery store (fresh market) 2 minuets walking. We will return to this gem of a hotel next time we’re visiting the neighbourhood. Greg & Gladys.

This find was an awesome accident. The exterior was so cool, with a huge old tree and courtyard. Then the interior is covered top to bottom with original art. So cool. The rooftop had a pretty great view… and a pool, and more great art. Just awesome. Our room was also very nice, the service was great, and the continental breakfast was the best either of us have EVER had. All for a very reasonable rate, and close to the airport.

Good area, on the outskirts of San José, belongs to Santa Ana. Quiet hotel, with good welcome and friendly staff. Breakfast was very good. Good pieces of art. Around restaurants.

Loved staying at this boutique hotel. Good friendly staff, comfortable modern rooms and amenities, underground secure parking, amazing free buffet breakfast. They even prepared a to go bag for us as we were leaving early to catch our flight. I will definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel, with an amazing art collection. It's only a mile from our home/office, and we use this as default for visitors and clients needing to visit with us.

Great clean and air-conditioned rooms, friendly stuff, modern and lovely, close to the airport if you have a car.

We would have given this place 5 stars for its perfection; however, on the second night, someone used a card to enter my wife and I's room at 10pm without knocking or anything. We yelled "hey someone's in here! " and they left. I went to the front desk to try to get an explanation but was only able to find out it was one of their employees who apologized for it. Regardless, the hotel was clean, modern and spacious. Had air conditioning and a fridge in the spacious room. The bathroom was also spacious and modern. Just a little bothered by the experience and what it implied about their professionalism, consideration and security. I think 4 stars is generous given the circumstances.

Great little boutique hotel with a lot of beautiful art. I also left my prescription glasses in the nightstand and they were able to locate them and hold them for me until I returned to town four days later. Wonderful staff.

This hotel is fantastic! We had a massive bed thar was incredibly comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and eager to help us out. There are tons of eating options reasonably close by as well. Included breakfast was the best we've had at any hotel we've stayed at and includrd made in front of you tortillas! If we ever require another hotel in San Jose, the studio will be our first choice.

Location of the hotel in a suburb of San Jose is not so great. But the hotel itself is fine. Rooms are OK. Nearby there is a supermarket, ATMs and various restaurants.

Staff very helpful, rooms clean, breakfast very assorted in a good atmosphere. Leave forgotten a sweater in one of the restaurants and the next day to ask for the had saved me it.

Beautiful place. Much art, an impressive Higueron with chairs to sit there and a vacilona pool.

Issues with service, and room odor. Nice facilities otherwise. Easy to see why the average reviews are good: this is a nice modern hotel, with nice amenities. Lots of wall art. Clean looking rooms. Good pool and exercise room. Great breakfast. Selena was particularly helpful and friendly at breakfast, and came across as someone who truly cared about the guests as if she owned the hotel. Person that helped with our luggage was also nice and helpful, despite the fact that he knew he wasn't going to get tipped (see below). Good value. We however did not have a great experience (probably we were unlucky given the reviews) : We had the most unfriendly check-in staff we have ever had a hotel. Felt more like a customs agent (i. E. "passport please", without looking up). I had no change for a tip for the bellhop, and she claimed not to have any change. She was rude when denying us a second key. If people had badges with names it would be easier to report them here and get the bad apples replaced. Kind of set the wrong tone. Our bathroom sink had a mild sewer smell. We stayed only one night, so it was survivable. We just plugged the sink. $150 deposit charge for incidentals was a bit offputting given that we were staying for 1 night and spent well below this for the room. We were refunded on check-out I think. Lastly, this place is not that convenient to the airport. The distance as the crow flies listed in websites like Expedia is misleading.

Ok but not 5 stars. Room not 100% clean. Light in bath did not work properly. Very noisy in room. No good doors. Heared everything on floor and kitchen. Aweful woman at reception. Very unfriendly. Payed wrong price. Not what I booked. Never again.

Bad lighting. 90s music constantly playing. Can hear from room. Scented toilet paper. Cleaners waking me up every morning but then not cleaning room when I'm out for 8 hours later. Constant internet problems. Staff unable and unwilling to fix. Quite bad food. Hopeless amateur hotel. Sad because it could be lovely with leadership.

Arts. Chic. Trendy. Modern. Simple. Great. The Best! Best bed & Great buffet breakfast. Simple modern energy saving mini-museum hotel with great restaurants within walking distance.
