I stayed here for two days and I thought that the inn wasn't that bad. However, there weren't signs for everything. I was looking for the ice maker to look for more ice, and I could not find out where to get it. The manager said it was located on the 2nd floor by some of the rooms in the middle of the hallway. Besides that, they properly marked the signs for everything else and the staff were pretty friendly. It was also located near a shopping center and was within walking distance of the inn.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The manager Chris was so easy to work with and funny too. The staff are really friendly and the rooms are bright and clean. A good little spot that also shuttles you to the airport which is a huge bonus! Thank you everyone at Red Lion Inn!

The location is 10 minutes from downtown, however the strip club next door that doesn't close until after midnight and the rock hard beds make this a hotel I'll not be visiting again. The sheets are very rough and every time my friend got out her bed to use the washroom I woke up because the sheets against each other sounded like a rainstorm. Other reviews mention the cleanliness and I'll say it didn't bother me. Not spotless but just an old building with wear. Staff was friendly. Parking is limited and if you don't get a spot in the main area their back parking lot feels kind of sketchy.

Worth about maybe $50! Not full price! The room was so nasty and unclean that I had to check for bed bugs upon arrival as I felt so gross and disgusted after finding a BLOOD STAIN on the front pillow case! Then there was crumbs on the floor that weren't from us… okay… crumbs happen… I let that go. Then there were boogers all over the shower curtain from the previous guests! Some light bulbs were burnt out and there was quite a lot of dust on the fan in the washroom. The bath tub didn't even drain properly! I had to stand in a good 2 inches of water while showering! Seeing all this is just so nasty. If I could give it a '0' star, I would. In a heartbeat. The location and bed are the only thing this hotel has going for it. Oh yeah. And while checking In, one of the front service agents were having a personal conversation on the phone about going out and getting drunk with all his friends. Right behind the check in counter! Real classy.

Very clean hotel and the room has a nice kitchen that is available. The service was friendly and helpful each day. The location was about 15 minutes from downtown core by car so it is not too far.

Stayed in the suites for one night just for fun as I live in town. Super affordable and luxurious. The front desk people were immaculate. The hotel manager Chris was always superb in every aspect. Showed me the most hospitality I've seen out of a hotel. Absolutely would recommend and I plan on going back.

Can't leave a review… Never had the chance to stay. Booked a room online because there website said pet friendly. Called to confirm and they rudely denied ever allowing pets. Cancelled the booking thankfully specially after reading others reviews.

Seemed to be the only place to get a reasonable priced room at last minute. After reading reviews while my mom was checking in, I was kind of sceptical about staying there. The strip bar and being noisy was not a issue. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and it was pretty quite. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice comfy and cozy. Obvious pride taken in the hotel. Clean with wonderful staff and comfortable rooms. Spacious bathrooms and the bedroom even had a mini kitchen. Stayed at 3 places in 3 day of being in victoria if I had landed here first I would not have left.

Affordable and convenient. If you can sleep thru people carrying on in the parking lot or walkway behind the hotel and sleep on an uncomfortable bed, you can stay there. Windows don't have screens. The modern upgrades show that management has invested financially on this hotel but is far from done. We also found-out they are NOT affiliated with the Red Lion Hotel chain.

Stayed One Night * The Room Was Very Clean and The Bed Was Comfy. The Staff Were Friendly and Polite. The Chinese Restaurant (Jade Fountain) Downstairs Severed Up Some Very Tasty Dishes — — Big Portions 2.

Visited the dimsum place at lower level. Great food, but not very user friendly for non Chinese speaking customers. Dimsum baskets fly by swiftly with little time to truly know what each contains. Explanations are unclear, if you don't follow Chinese-English accents. Food is great, we will return.

Sanitation needs to be strengthened, food is good! Asian food like this on Victoria Island is delicious.

Went to the restaurant downstairs for dinner with family. The food was great, decor was beautiful, and the atmosphere was nice. They were charging extra for rice and soup that normally is included because of some event that was going on, but it was still pretty good.

Best dim sum in town in the basement of the Red Lion! We entered from the parking trip at the back and got to see some of the hallways and it's very tidy. Friendly staff, interesting clientele.

When I told my brother about this place, he just laughed and laughed. There's a Chinese restaraunt, the strippers downstairs and a strange bar upstairs. Every Friday the bar has meat draws which is a lot of fun! I'm vegetarian but have a great time anyway! I believe the establishment upstairs is family run and may be open odd hours.

Good amenities. My ex-in laws were guests years ago and they enjoyed the stay. I haven't stayed there yet but I do know that the staff are attentive and I tend to go to V-Lounge and Jade Fountain often.

Went to the Chinese dim sum in the basement. We made reservations for 18 people. They had two tables for us, one in the middle of the room and one in a corner. We had 7 kids with us at the time and they expected us to separate. They didn’t care if we made reservations or not. Worst experience ever. Giving them a one star too generous.

Friendly staff that make sure your every need is taken care of. Reasonable rates and Great location as far as being near to Galloping Goose Trail and right on Douglas. ONLY Caution is near to strip club but only loud outside on weekends. All in all good!

The food at Jade fountain at the Red Lion Inn was great. If you are visiting on the weekend, it's best to call in and make reservations.

The Fox is one of my favourite live entertainment establishments. Good pub food, drink specials, friendly staff. The ladies on stage are some of the best in Canada. Definitely a place you could do a special couples night or a bachelor/bachelorette.

Great place to stay. The whole staff is friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Free Wi Fi, cable TV, small fridge, stove top, dishes and pots and pans. Everything that one could want. Thanks to the staff.

I booked a room to sleep in after working a 12 hour night shift. When I got there at 0800 (the time myself and the desk clerk agreed upon when I booked), I was told by a different clerk that my room was "released" as I was apparently expected at 0600. Poor communication on their part — why in the world would I book for 0600 when I finish work at 0700? Clerk was dismissive and not at all apologetic. 2 star hotels=2 star service.

The lady that checked us in was wonderful. Very helpful with directions. Room was fairly clean but they list Wi-Fi as an amenity and it was ridiculous. It kept logging us out. When we complained about it to the man checking out there was no apology. Our key cards were also deactivated before we checked out and the painter there had to let us back into our rooms. Again, no apology. I would definitely not go back there. I'm glad there is only one in Canada.

Beds were a little a hard, cupboards dusty n finger prints all over and the mold along the bottom of the shower curtain sucked. But bonus points for the pool and being so quiet next to the peeler bar. Parking was a nightmare on Friday and Saturday night.

Walking up to the entrance and front desk was not impressive but once inside we were very pleased. It appears to be recently and tastefully renovated. Very clean with very comfortable beds and fully stocked (pots and pans and china) kitchenette. Not the Ritz but a great value with a fantastic Chinese restaurant.

Nice staff for a super busy club! Staff was always smiling and eager to help get your drink and send you on your way to enjoying your night! The club has an interesting layout, pillars, large squishy seating, great for large groups to hang out together.

Went for lunch and live music on Saturday. Had a great time. House band was great, popular timeless songs that both us and our parents enjoyed. Food was 2 for 1 appetizers which was amazing. We got 6 appetizers from pita bread and ribs to poutine and they were all great. Very attentive service from our waitress who you could tell was very experienced. Interior really reminded me of a casino which was neat. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a while.

Great stay. Clean rooms. Little bit outside of downtown but hotel exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay here again. Friendly staff. Mall nearby.

We stayed just one night in early June. We were delighted to be upgraded to a room with two Queen beds at no extra change. Though a little tight for space if you have a lot of luggage, the room was excellent; very, very clean & fresh. Front desk staff were helpful & friendly. They let us store our carry-on bags in a secure room until much later in the day when we took a bus back to get them & headed for the ferry. Excellent value for an exceptional price.

Red Lion Inn & Suites rents their overflow lot to those working nearby. Best deal in town. Front desk staff is always pleasant and you're always greeted warmly. Much appreciated.

Fantastic ~great staff, clean, had the 1 bedroom suite with kitchennet ~ loved it. Will be returning there again ~ great price and good location ~ I recommend it to everyone.

Rooms are fine, decent size, clean. I inadvertently left behind a pair of shoes and called the hotel to retrieve them only to be told they were never found. Infuriating as I know exactly where they were left. I can't recommend any business whose honesty and integrity are questionable.

Nice room, cleen and good kitchenette but our room had a skylight that woke us up early, not a great idea in a hotel.

Not very clean, smelled bad, layers of dust. Thankfully we brought our own sheets and pillows. Television did not work, person on duty not interested in hearing about our concerns. Would never recommend or stay here again.

Great sized room with kitchenette. Large enough room that we had a full sized stroller, mountain bike, and pack n play set up… and still enough room to function and live. Stayed here for 4 days and nights. Excellent customer service and front desk help. From the get go, I knew it would be great from day 1. Our ferry got in at noon, so I called to see if we could check in early (by 3 hours! ) and they let us, no extra charge. The rest was wonderful. The Galloping Goose is literally right behind the hotel. And downtown was a little less than a 10min drive, or during the daytime we did the bus system. There's a stop about half a block up the road from the hotel and only $5 for a day pass. There is indeed an adult entertainment club and a sports bar located in the same building, but the entrances are on the opposite side of the hotel and didn't even notice they were there, even a little bit. And the Chinese restaurant located in the bottom floor of the hotel has great food with very good prices and somewhat upscale dining in. Watch for deals with Red Lion! I happened to get a great deal for staying there during this specific time, what must places would charge for only one night stay.

Wasn't much to like about this place. Where to begin? First thiing you notice is how dirty the floor in the lobby is. Old chewing gum stains everywhere. Front desk staff were indifferent at best, but efficient. Walk down to the room, push the door bar into the stair well and a piece actually fell off. The stairwell smelled like old food and gasoline. The hallway to our room smelled like stale cigarettes, old Chinese food and car exhaust. There were carpenter ants on the ceiling. In front of our door there was a 15 inch square hole in the ceiling where a leak had been fixed. The whole area smelled like mildew. Our room door shut but was very loose. You could have opened it with a credit card. The room smelled of mildew and sewage. Sewage smell was because the toilet wasn't actually bolted to the floor. It rocked back and forth and you could actually see water running where the bolts should have been when you flushed. The bathroom was really dirty. We were afraid to walk barefoot. The ceiling in the bathroom was full of old yellow water spots and dried on dead gnats. The shower barely drained. The floor in the main room was cheap Pergo style laminate that was worn through and peeling up. The freezer worked but the fridge did not. Housekeeping started their rounds at 8am. I've stayed at one hotel that was worse than this. At best this is a $20 per night hotel. The fact they charge as much as they do is a tragedy.

I e-mailed the hotel about a complaint I had and they told me they were going to have the Japanese mafia kill me. What the hell? I'm considering going to the police about it. I've heard rumors about this hotel being run by asian gang members and heavily involved in the drug trade so perhaps they're true.
