The hotel is solid. It’s what you’d expect from a hotel. However, the restaurant Addie’s that’s in the hotel is the one of the best in the city. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The cheese bread alone has me considering making the 6 hour drive there. Staff was super nice even though they had to deal with the worst French in the history of French. Seriously though I butcher French so much that it is kind of offensive that I even try. Yet they were still awesome and have food so good that your brain will dream about it for years to come.

Negative little room and bathroom with tapestry that is a moist low soundproofed parking stick has 25$ positive sheets and room very clean not a grain of dust.

Received a ticket upon check in as Jessie was on the computer and took over 15 minutes to greet me. Once check in was complete it took me another 15-20 minutes to get all my luggages to my room. When I returned to the vehicle I received a ticket. The GM, Thierry, and manager Aziz advised me this matter was taken care of. I received this ticket Dec 26 and it is now Feb 11, 2020 and this matter has still not been addressed. I was assured it was taken care of and now have received notices from the rental car company about the outstanding fine. Why is no one getting in touch with me to rectify this situatuon?

The room I reserved is nice and cozy, perfect for 1 or 2 people. The amenities were sufficient for my stay. The AC unit was easy to operate and not too noisy. The location is right in the heart of downtown Montréal and easily accessible to public transit. Will book again when I return.

Sink drain was slow. Hotel was unable to remedy the situation. Sad!

Very small room and asked for a queen but it’s a small queen. I thought they were all the same size. Worst of all, NO PARKING!

The hotel is situated in the heart of Montreal's downtown. You are within walking distance to some of Montreal's best restaurants, best shopping, and some of Montreal's best cultural icons. The hotel is small with very few extras. Our room featured two double beds which took up about 80% of the room. There was space for one chair and a very small writing desk that, unfortunately, jutted out into the opening for the bathroom door. We stay here because it is convenient to downtown. We parked our car when we arrived and return to our car three days later when it was time to leave. The room was clean but the hallways were in desperate need of a good vacuuming. The staff were pleasant enough but did not go out of their way to greet us on any of the multiple occasions we returned to the hotel. The staff, if there was more than one on duty, were always gathered together in conversation. All in all it was a reasonable experience and, considering the cost of the room, it could have been worse. Not high praise but then again, it was not a high-quality stay.

This isn't the first time I stay at a Best Western but this will have to be the last. There's not much that even went right with this hotel. To start off, the process in which to bring your luggage in was just a disaster. The entrance is a floor below the check in desk. Their parking lot wasn't actually there's which in itself is not a big deal, but the parking lot which is a block away kept maxing out. Which meant there were times if you left, you couldn't come back to park despite paying for it. Their elevators couldn't at all keep up with the number of guests they had. Very small, old and eventually one broke down. There were good 5-10 minute waits at some point. The room itself is just okay. Basic best Western but a bit more run down than the others I've been to, older, less maintained. The hotel was very very noisy. I kept getting calls for other rooms at my room, things like room service when I never ordered it, at 8 am in the morning. The housekeeping was ATROCIOUS. At some point they just left a bunched up sheet on the floor. The floor was filthy by the end of our stay because they didn't really clean them and we left plastic bottles grouped up for them to take away which they just left around the room. They didn't efficiently collect trash. The room was so dirty despite housekeeping "cleaning" everyday. Topping on all of it, my brother left a pair of really expensive headphones in the room.

A clean, comfortable room when you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay in the heart of Montreal. The air conditioning was too loud and the coffee maker in the room took a 10 minute break between making cups but was otherwise good. The location is great, with lots of stores and restaurants within a short walk. Close to the train station and the Metro. If you enjoy walking, you can get to many of the tourist attractions within 30 minutes or so. We walked back from the Olympic Park in under an hour, but the Metro gets you there in 20 minutes from leaving your room.

This should be two stars but the staff are so friendly and responsive that I had to increase it to 3. Also, the room we were given (which took us 5 min to locate because of missing signage — it was up a spiral staircase) had its own private patio which was a big bonus for parents with a 4 and 5 year old. Upon entering our room, we found food in the fridge from the previous guest, a dirty face wash in the closet, dirt and cobwebs in the corner next to the bed, one television not working because of a broken cord and an entire wall of outlets not working because of a blown circuit board. If there was a fire, I’m sure we would not know about it because our smoke detector looked like it was tampered with. We were charged $40 a night for parking instead of the $25 we were quoted because we have an SUV and because of that, we had to pay the parking operator directly and it had to be in cash. The staff responded to all of our issues and they are very nice, but I get a sense that the folks that own this place are just doing enough to get by. It’s VERY run down and grungy. Daphne at the front desk did her best to accommodate us and offered us free breakfast on the morning of our check out (we stayed 2 nights). The location of this hotel is good, close to great restaurants and sights. I would think twice about staying here again though — I just could not be sure that my room was really clean.

Room initially seemed very clean but, as in other reviews, someone at this hotel is not doing their job of cleaning the rooms. I found a big yellow toe nail lying in the shower right after check in, as well as some body hairs. The bathroom seemed otherwise very clean, which was really bizarre. I left the room expecting to receive a new room but the hotel was full. Reception staff (it was 11pm) were excellent and sent someone up to clean while I waited in the lobby and offered me an excellent breakfast at Chez Cora to make up for it. That said, after this, I was a bit concerned about the rest of the room. Sheets seemed and smelled fresh, as did the top bath towel but the one underneath had long dyed burgundy colored hair (I’m a man with short hair so they definitely were not mine). I showered in flip flops for peace of mind. Also, as some other reviewers have said, the AC is very loud even on lowest setting. Luckily it was not that hot even thought it’s August so I turned it off. All in all, staff response and their general welcome was five star, hotel is a great value but the toe nail was a bit much. Looking back, the Sheraton across the street had a room for $169, only $30 more than I paid, and it would have been a better choice for a longer stay. I came in late and left early so I was really just looking to sleep somewhere.

I was charged for $95.20 for extra cleaning without any notification. Bad business practice. Criminal.

Our room was very clean and had a very nice pull out bed. The items provided in each room exceeded the necessities that we were accustomed too, thus the stay was just that much better. I was able to work out on state of the arc machinery and up until 11 pm too. There were a lot of places for me to run and the sites were just beautiful. The hotel was overall amazing. I had a great stay.

Hotel reception throughout our stay for 2 nights in Montreal really need to get some training handling guests from Asia. They had preferential treatment for others closer to their kind and background but were aloof, cold, unhelpful and some of them rude. Definitely not a place to stay when visiting Montreal for anyone from Asia.

Gosh, can any hotel room be smaller than here? Extremely small room, all walls only a few feet away from the bed. And it's semi basement. For the price I paid, definitely not worth it. And stuff not friendly either. Will never go back to this horrible place.

Hotel located close to museums, shopping, restaurants, and parks. Great location… I had a dual queen bed room, which was spacious with a nice bathroom/shower. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Staff were polite and happy to answer questions. Highly recommend.

This was my first stay at this location. The price was lower than most hotels in the area and I took a gamble being it a Best Western branded hotel. Our room was ready and we were allowed to check in early. The lobby is very impressive and modern. On first appearance of the halls and room, everything is, well small best describes. The bathroom is very small. However I'm 6'2 and did not find any major difficulties. After the shock wore off of being in a miniature version of a hotel. I found the rooms modern and well equipped and comparable to 4 stars I have stayed in. The bed was memory foam and comfy. The duvet and sheets fresh and soft. The staff appeared very genuine and eager to assist and ensure our every need was met. The hotel offers free luggage storage. For the price and location, I don't think you will find a better hotel in downtown Montreal. It is located in between the green and orange metro lines with either a 4 min walk. The 747 Airport bus stop is located just around the corner. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for accommodations downtown Montreal.

I went to this Best Western Hotel in Downtown Montreal on Drummond street because I was visiting offices in a commercial side that they have on the mezzanine floor. They also seem to have some banquet space. But from what little I saw, the design is absolutely beautiful. The only thing I could say it but the main entrance is it had a bunch of stairs to walk down into the place and that threw me off a bit. I expected something more wheelchair-friendly for a front door entrance but that's doesn't mean that they don't have another entrance for wheelchairs I'm not an expert on this place. All I do know is it looks really good I did speak to the front counter staff which was plentiful and they were Prince plentiful and helpful and friendly exactly as they should be and then I went to the place I had an appointment to go to in the offices section. But what a pretty building at least pretty on the main lobby area and on the mezzanine floor. I can't speak to any of the rest of the place.

Great rooms, the king office suite was very big, hardwood floor, but the room looked into another wing of the building, so much that we couldn't even tell it was sunny. Great price though. Good facilities, but bar/resto closes at 11. A bit of a sketchy area but not too bad.

A very decently priced place to stay in downtown Montreal. Very convenient to walk to restaurants, shops, bars and places of worship. Several metro stations nearby for either Green or Orange line very efficient, timely way to get a round the city to go to exhibits, buy at least a three day pass just $18.

Their location is fantastic. Great choice if you don't have a car (since the hotel use a third party parking lot). It worth its prices, the only concern is I stayed in second floor and for me it looks like a basement. Higher floor would be fine.

Good location. Close to 747 Airport bus and convenient to shopping and restaurants. A little farther from a metro stop. Room comparable to many other Best Western Plus properties. No free breakfast.

So Best Western Hotels & Resorts in Montreal charged my friend for a night she wasn’t able to use but says she can rebook for a night in April at no charge. Guess what shows up on her credit card today? You guessed it another charge for $200. She calls their Customer service line and they tell her there is nothing they can do about it unless that specific location decides to reverse the charges. Bad business practice and customer service relations!

Comfortable beds, good service of assistance. The Internet is a bit slow but the rest is perfect.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The location of this hotel is good and convenient. However, the fitness center was poorly maintained and equipped. Several machines were out of service during the time of my stay. I may still consider booking this hotel again because of its staff, location and price if no other better alternatives are available.

Comfortable hotel in the heart of the city. Walking distance to Mont Royal and Vieux Montreal. Restaurants and amenities all nearby. A very enjoyable stay. Staff friendly, hotel comfortable and clean. Great breakfast at Cora's restaurant. Would stay again.

Clean, courteous service, large room, 2 Beds 1 chair. Can't get a bathrobe. No shelf, no handle in the shower. Parking outside by the alley. No noise in the hallways.

The staff was incredible pleasant. I arrived early and wanted my bags put aside while I went out but they were kind enough to check me in early. The hotel rooms look recently renovated and are quite spacious. I enjoyed my stay here.

Good price and close walk from the train station. Construction across the street seems to be an annual event. Noise from hallway and other rooms travel thru walls. Also the room close to the stairwell is no good for a complete night sleep. The bed is comfortable and staff are efficient and helpful. I received a map of the underground and one of the city which advertises local events and exhibitions which helps when planning how to spend days. The internet is quick and reliable. Good value for the money spent. I've stayed one weekend in February three years in a row.

I was really pleased with my stay at this hotel!
The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, the decoration recent and beautiful, courteous welcome. The value for money is really good, not very expensive for the room. I did not eat at the hotel, neither for supper nor for lunch.
The only downside, no parking in the hotel, I had to look for a public not too far and pay it in addition to my stay, but this is the case of the majority of hotels in Montreal and the stay was not very expensive, this does not disturb so much, I would just like to know before I move:)

Large bathroom, room quickly a little small but C is a room. Very helpful staff, low-end restaurant but very affordable prices and we are in the centre of Montreal so there is a choice. Breakfast is confusing but excellent.

I have stayed at Best Westerns at least a dozen times in the past, and this last trip was hands down the worst experience. The staff were apologetic and professional, I will acknowledge this, but the room itself was unclean and noise level unacceptable. During showering, water pressure dropped so low that there was barely a trickle and I just stood there soapy until the water would turn back on. Upon inspection of the room, there was hair stuck in between bedsheets, on the toilet, on the floor and even bathroom counter top. Within a few seconds of entering the room, I could hear the elevator right next door and the loud elevator shaft switching and grinding gears, and being used by other guests. The floors rumbled and shook as the elevators were used, and I did call the front desk to ask to switch rooms right away. I asked for any room possible, even though I was in a room with two queen beds, I would take anything — even a single twin bed, but nothing else was available and as they put it, nothing could be done. I considered checking out, but I was reassured by the front desk staff that the noise level would die down soon, so I stayed. Unfortunately control of guests using elevators is not something the staff can do, and so that prediction of the elevator usage decreasing didn't happen.

Great stay. Right in the center of town. Parking available on the street. Awesome updated rooms and very comfortable beds. Staff is friendly and helpful. Stayed here twice in one week.

Amazing staff here, friendly, patient, polite, and a welcoming good morning, the rooms are beautiful and very clean, excellent service providing excellent heat if needed in the room a touch of a button and the room heats up quickly if to hot again a touch of a button and the room gets colder with air conditioning, restaurants within the hotel are great very good food and not that costly either☺️☺️ Just steps away from the outdoors and everything you could possibly want is within steps away from this beautiful newly renovated hotel. Everything I wanted this hotel met my expectations and more… Superb work on behalf of the staff and receptionist. I was handed out brochures for activities to do with my son and everything was perfect… with no hesitations I will be back to come here for sure! And the best yet 5 minute walk to the Bell Center. Why this hotel is only at 3 stars is beyond me I would give it 20 plus stars if I could so 5 stars is not even enough because this hotel deserves only the best ratings and stars possible ☺️☺️☺️

A good Hotel, not great. Currently there is massive amount of construction happening all around it and the noise is slightly noticable. After all this hotel is located a minute walk from the Bell centre and what I would consider the downtown. Also near by is a good offering or gentlemen clubs and bars and walking distance from a metro (subway station) and St Catherine's st. The staff are super nice and speak both good English and French.

The location was great! Very close to restaurants and downtown. The Old Quebec is nearby. The room was on the 6th floor and is excellent. My girl loved the shower. Room was spacious and clean. Service was also fantastic. Gave us a surprise gift for our anniversary! Would recommend, fantastic value.

This hotel is a nightmare when it comes to cleanliness. I've given this hotel 2 months to make things "right". Dealing directly with the "Director of the front office" Mr. Oliver. He has promised to call me, email me, mail me something. But guess what… nothing. He provided fake promises. I had to proactively follow-up. He sent me a total of 2 emails and lies. I highly recommend to spend an extra $10-20 and stay at a different hotel. There is no on-site parking. There is a parking lot behind the hotel which is $30 for overnight. Here is my story: I drove from Toronto to Montreal on business. Check-in at 10pm at night and checked out at 8am. Upon waking up I can see at the front entrance, there was pretty much an ant hill. This is disturbing as my dress shoes and my carry on was at the entrance of the door. My boss's room had his toilet erupting on its own (flooded his washroom). Book this hotel at your own risk.

Excellent service and very good.

Room was small but good for one person. It is adequate for person staying there at night time. So if you want a place to just put your head down it is fine. Bring your ear plugs because I was near the ice machine and pop machines. All night I could hear the ice flying down and the cans of pop coming down. Had to get ear plugs for the noise. Also people would stand near these machines and talk loud during the night. Hope next time I go there would like the same kind of room but not near these machines. People are nasty… they do not care about anyone resting just themselves. Hardly slept first night until I could buy those ear plugs.

A catastrophe. The reception is deplorable, poorly managed, with people not very respectful. They take people for jerks. The rest is pretty decent but change staff at the reception, it's urgent, you lose customers. I do not advise you at all this place.

Fantastic location — lots of great shopping and restaurants steps away. Room was clean and modern. Looked to be recently renovated. Overall great value. Only downfall is that there is no on site parking. I parked at the Sheraton up the street for $25/day.

Amazingly good value on a Sunday night in Sept. 2017. Small but clean and comfortable rooms with good quality bedding and towels. Everything worked, including the Wi-Fi. Only four stars because one of the two elevators was out of order and the other was being used by staff to go up/down one floor while guests had lengthy waits.

Nice very clean rooms, friendly staff, but the windows do not open so the air conditioning machine — air exchanger is always running and is too loud so we couldn't get a good night sleep. The walls are well insulated against noise but unfortunately you can hear people in the hall talking and banging doors early in the morning through the door which is not so well insulated. Also they took the entire payment from our credit card for our two nights stay as a deposit which is the first time that happens in 6 years of staying in various hotels several times a year. Nice hotel but we will not repeat our stay. Perhaps other rooms are better and we were just unfortunate to get this one.

This is the ideal place to spend a professional stay when you have offices in downtown Montreal. The reception, the dimensions of the rooms and the service for this purpose are impeccable.

I picked this hotel due to its proximity to the concert venue and because I usually like Best Western properties. I was not disappointed at all. Rooms were renovated recently and I felt it was spacious enough. The hotel has a restaurant so no complimentary breakfast. I would have liked coffee in the lobby but there was a single cup machine in the room and a refrigerator. The parking situation in Montreal is tough so there was no hotel or free parking. We used a lot around the block which was about $17.00 C per day. We never used the car because we had other transportation to get around. There aren't any tourist brochures in the lobby so ask for them if you need to. Old Montreal/Port is within walking distance as well as other downtown attractions. I would stay here again.

Clean room with nice decor. Small bathroom but nicely decorated. Linens and towels were of higher quality. The hotel is in a great location just off St. Catherine's and is walking distance to many great attractipns and restaurants. Would stay there again.

This place is def a great place to stay if ya wanna be steps away from bell centre… rooms are clean all the staff rock and very accommodating to fix any problem you may have will always use this place when visiting the bell centre.

Close to shopping, pubs, restaurants, Bell Centre. Nice hotel. Indoor parking lot next Street over, very handy. Window looks out into a maintenance courtyard, so I would get another hotel, if you are looking for a view of the city. Didn't bother us, as we spent all our time outside enjoying the area. Bathroom is a bit small for 2 people at one time… but very modern and clean! Pleasant staff, fully bilingual. Would recommend. 4 out of 5 stars.

No parking. You have to pay $30 a night to park your car to a leased parking Company. No Breakfast. You have to pay $10-$15 for breakfast. No upgrades for Best Western Diamond Elite. In a way I got nothing at this Hotel for being a Diamond Elite member. I was moved to another room the next day when I told them to cancel my reservation for the next 2 days and I will rebook the same Hotel for same amount of points for a better room. Not really satisfied. The front desk clerks were good.

I never post complains, but this time it was too much. I've been staying here 2-3 times a year in the last 8 years, always had awesome service. I booked 2 months ago for 2 nights for February 10 and 11, got my confirmation and all by email. The manager called my cell 2h before we arrived to confirm my credit card # since it had changed and he confirmed with me it was good. We arrived after 12h drive to find out the manager had cancelled our 2nd room because he thought it was a duplicate. It was still available our 1st night but on Saturday, game day downtown Montreal… we couldn't have it. The receptionist was pretty sympathetic and respectful and told me to come the next morning to see the manager. Went down this morning, the same receptionist was there, nice but less understanding and the supervisor Sarah Moug treated me liked dirt! Yesterday it was another supervisor's fault as he thought it was a duplicate but this morning that supervisor had said I had confirmed with him to cancel the room. It was a he said, she said… no sympathy from their part and they told us it was our fault and not theirs. They put words in my mouth and told us 'sorry we can't help you' then laughed when we left! Not all BW employes are unprofessional, but a supervisor who has no customer service like Sarah Moug and another who cancels a room by mistake and can't admit their fault, they wont see us here again and this after a 12hr drive to beautiful Montreal!

We stayed Friday 11/11 & Saturday 11/12 when we went up for a Habs game. When we arrived, we found out they had given us a queen room that was the size of a closet, when we had ordered a king. When I complained to the manager, he said that they must have been out of kings when we booked. I then asked why they wouldn't have told me that at the time I booked it. He was very rude, but switched rooms for us, at an extra charge, no problem. I asked him how much the taxes would be and he got upset. He said "Everybody has to pay tax on top of the room rate. " I said "no kidding, really? All I want to know is HOW MUCH ARE THE TAXES GOING TO BE? ". We had gone up to meet a group of about 100 other fans, so the place was packed. They had only 2 elevators that held about 5 people max, or 2 with a luggage cart. They were extremely slow, and one of them was out of service almost all weekend. (They didn't even notice this until I brought it to their attention. ) The restaurant staff was very rude, and acted like they were doing us a favor by serving us. Our HIO group booked the side room for our members so we could all eat breakfast together. We've been doing this for 5 years. When we arrived, one of the waitresses was reading a paper and having HER breakfsdt, and told us the room was for their employees. It took about 20 minutes for them to rudely get it straightened out. We have stayed here 2 other times for group outings, and things were much better.

Good value for money Great area.

The location is great! Very close to shops, restaurants and almost all attractions. Short walking distance to the subway and to the airport bus. Hotel is fairly clean and organized. The room was basic but had everything we needed for our short stay in Montréal. For the price paid the hotel was more than acceptable. I recommend it if you don't wanna spend a fortune on a hotel room and you just want it to sleep.

The rooms are outdated and small. Bathroom cleaning leaves to be desired (hair found in the bath). The beds are very comfortable. The walls are not very well soundproofed. However, the service at the reception is excellent and friendly. Very good breakfast (restaurant Cora). Finally, the most positive point is the location of the hotel which is near all the shops, restaurants and other.

Perfect stay! We arrived from Halifax on Monday for a mini-vacation and couldn't have been happier! We don't leave until tomorrow, but the place is too good not to review! The price for a night is great, the location is amazing, the food downstairs (Coras for Breakfast! ) is amazing! We stayed in the queen (small) rooms, and they were indeed small but had everything we needed! How much are you in your hotel room anyway? There are many shops (Forever 21, Guess, Zara, Etc), and other restaurants less than a block away! The reception and housekeeping staff are equally as great, more than willing to help with anything you need!.

Location was great for night clubs, bars, restaurants, shopping, and just walking around downtown. The room was clean and house keeping did a great job on a daily basis to keep it that way. The room seemed a little small, but good enough for sleeping and getting ready. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and seemed like the walls had good sound proofing. The parking situation could have been better, but close enough to the hotel entrance. Overall, great for the price.

Beautiful hotel, bed very comfortable setting has made share it does not outline sheets. However the rooms are very small and the bath room with hair was, it should also make lepoussetage more in depth ex: top executives and the top of the tv.
My work in life, jinspecte of hotel rooms so I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness if not slept very well.

Great location! Close to everything downtown. Easy to walk everywhere. Staff are friendly and nice. Good value.

If you're American, don't stay at this hotel! They treat American guests terribly for some apparent reason and promise accommodations that they rescind upon checkout! Do NOT trust any of the staff members, for they are often incompetent and start speaking french when there is an issue. Not exact the epitome of professionalism. Have never had a problem at a Best Western before this one is defiantly the exception. Please do yourself a favor and find another hotel in the downtown area! This hotel does not live up to the Best Western standard.

My bf and I went to Montreal Jul 14 and 15 — 2015 and first time we reserved at this hotel. I must say it was very pleasant! The check in is typically at 4pm but we arrived very early and the gentleman at the desk was kind enough to go ahead and check us in right away. The staff are all very nice and it is a very clean place. It was a humid day and was a drag carrying our bags around. It was nice to refresh ourselves in the room and go about our time there in Montreal. The room was very clean. We did not have any issues with anything at all. Washroom was very clean too. We had a queen neat bed and it was very comfortable and cool. I highly recommend this hotel, It's close to alot of the places downtown and near the via rail train, if you are arriving from there. Worst hotel ever. Washroom was tiny and had to sit sideways on toilet. Room was small and dirty. Hotel staff rude and cared less about clients. Parking was expensive and was 2 blocks from hotel. No way should this place represent Best Western. 2 thumbs down. But left with 2 fingers raised. Never ever again.

I have experienced terrible customer service with this hotel. If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. I booked through Orbitz, and although I attempted to put in the appropriate dates, the website did not update to the correct dates. I canceled the reservation within minutes and was told I could not get a refund. I contacted Orbitz 6 times throughout the day. The Front Desk Manager wouldn't even talk to the Orbitz representative until I called Orbitz with the charge dispute department of my bank. The Front Desk Manager refused to even change the reservation date to the appropriate arrival date and told me I would lose my money and would have to pay full price for a room on the correct date. I also called the Best Western customer service department. They too were unable to contact the manager. I understand I should have double checked to make sure the dates updated, but the fact that the manager would not help at all or even talk to me, the Orbitz representative, my bank, or their own corporate customer service representative shows how little this manager values customer service. We all keep being told the manager is not there, yet I called at various times throughout the morning, middle of the day, and afternoon. The manager was allegedly on a lunch break for 2 hours. I honestly can't believe this hotel couldn't wait ONE DAY to get their money and allow me to book for the correct date.

Rooms redone and great beds, halls are really old and should be redone.

Hotel = Awesome. Great Location for a first time stayer! Parking across the entrance is not best Westerns and the guy there is a complete d*ck. I there 4 nights starting DEC 13 2013. He wanted to charge us a lot of money for one night and things got a little heated (classic Montreal temper) but before anything took place we spoke with the front desk clerk and she came out and calmed the parking attendant down. She was really really hot so that's what probably helped. She didn't even dress for the cold she dropped everything and came right out. Took care of the cost and advised us where to park next time. They were going to charge our room cause they claim it smelt like smoke, but quick chat with the manager (same hot chick who helped us with the parking ass) sorted it out. We obviously used the heaters instead of A/C and they weren't loud at all, and nice and toasty. Internet was enough for Netflix and TV had basic channels which is FINE cause you shouldn't be watching TV when you're steps away from Mont-Royal! **Coras is awesome being right downstairs :D Both cleaning staff and front desk were friendly with us and did a great job with everything at all hours of the night. Room size was sufficient and the shape. Well I'm not even going to comment on that cause who gives a damn it could be hexagonal for all I care. Elevators being too small is just the typical fat North American complaining about dumb stuff being too small. Will TRY and stay there again.

Great location. However, I believe it is called Europa because you will only find rooms this small in parts of Europe. Two people could not move at once. The Queen sized bed was a double at best. The room had one tiny window overlooking a roof. The mini-fridge was broken and the parking situation was weird. That said, the room was clean and you are within walking distance of many great parts of downtown Montreal. We stayed four nights and we paid $139 to $159. There is no pool. There is a restaurant and a Coras. Even the elevators are strangely small. I heard one guest joke that they made the elevators tiny to make the room seem bigger.

Absolutely atrocious customer service. Don't bother calling them for anything. You'll be put on hold forever.

Great Place, stayed here and went to a Habs game. Very short distance to Bell Center and great shopping on St Catherine. Would def recommend to friends and stay here again. Rooms are decent sized and staff was friendly. Cora's in right in the entrance, obviously good food but its open to rest of the public and is usually really busy. Walls are quite thin, heard a couple having a 'good time' in the morning around 6am.

Awful. I was harassed extensively by the overzealous security staff in which he asked someone I was with if he "wanted to go to the roof and fight". After trying multiple times to have him leave us alone he followed us on the elevator and instigated an altercation. I, the guest, was left trying to break up a fight between a security guard and this other guest (who's finger was ultimately broken). Further, 6 security guards later came to my room at 5am and first told me I had to leave and then told me to go F myself. Easily the worst service I've ever had and the follow up has been negligent at best. As a dual citizen I feel that we were targeted as threatening because we traveled from the US. This stay was a blemish on my long history and travels to Montreal and is an awful example of how great this city can be. Do not stay here.
