Very friendly and accommodating staff. I have pets that travel everywhere with me and sometime it is difficult to find reasonably priced accommodations that work. Next time I need a place to stay when I am in town, I will be back!

First night, the upstairs neighbors were loud and inconsiderate. I nearly went up and ended their fight myself. In the morning, I found someone had spit on the windshield of my car. I haven't taken it up with management yet, I'm hoping this second night will be quieter.

Reception was informed of our late check-in and no one was to be found at the reception. We tried calling the phone number posted for after hour calls and no answer! We ended up sleeping in the car at a parking lot, unbelievable! And of course the temperature outside at that time was around freezing. Not a dependable property.

Good stay. Comfy beds. Very nice staff. Just needs bigger TV 's.

Manager very pleasant — our room was updated with new decor, carpet, bathroom and very comfortable bed. Nicer room interior than most motels we've hit on our cross country trip.

Yes it is cheap, but it is just off the main road. Literally a blink and you will miss it. That is what is good about it. All you need is a bed rest anyway if you are going around the lake. And this place has it.

Stayed 2 nights, very friendly staff, clean, semi updated room. Would definitely stay there again. $85.

I didnt mind it at all. Didnt see anything sketchy. Had a really comfy bed. I didnt like seeing a dog tied to a tree out by the road tho.

Not family appropriate. The stale smell of the room should have been the first signal to leave but I've slept in worse and we arrived very late and didn't want to annoy other patrons. Then, despite requesting an additional cot at booking (because the only room available had one bed) I was challenged and had to justify why I couldn't share a bed with the other patron. I was very embarrassed. I was told it would only be $10, then when I asked why it was $13, I was told it was due to the tax (10+ tax is $11.30). The third and worst part of my experience was the sex stains on the linens. I slept without covers. When I told the check-in clerk he just said, "okay". The room was overpriced ($90.40) even without the additional charge. Would not recommend this accommodation.

A great place to spend the night when travelling! The room was comfortable, clean and the bed was very comfy. There was a mini fridge, TV and central air. We asked for a non smoking room and it smelt great! The only issue was the sink, the cold tap was hooked to hot water and vice versa, which is not a big deal at all. If we stop it Thunder Bay again, this will be our go-to motel!

The clerk was really nice and only charged me for one of my cats. The room was decently priced and quite big. However there was no air conditioning and the room stunk so bad like smoke.

Front desk was very helpful. Reasonable rate. Clean rooms. Close to trains. Thin walls. Would stay again.

The motel itself is clean and comfortable and very conveniently located. The other patrons soured the experience, and weird bar across the street. The staff woke us in the morning by opening the door and asking us if we were checking out that day, although we only checked in for one night. Kind of strange all around.

Room smelled like it had been smoked in for 10 years. Left the room with my clothes and hair smelling like smoke. Owner was unwilling to switch us claiming the rooms were full which they clearly were not.

My girlfriend and I are on our way to vancouver from toronto and we stay at the voyageur motel in June. I enjoy the service there. It dosen't have bed and breakfast but it was a comfortable place to sleep after a long drive. The front desk has a lot of information to whereabout to eat in town or where to spend the night out. For a motel the room has it own internet router, pretty convenience.

Very clean, very quiet, and inexpensive. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The "double room" was large and had 3 comfortable beds and a fridge in it. Close to restaurants and stores. Would definitely stay here again.
