We were on a mini vacation to visit Kingston! Throughly enjoyed Best Western Fireside Inn. Very friendly staff, the hotel was clean & very nicely decorated! Our room was very cosy, comfortable beds, loved the fireplace! Dinner at the restaurant was very delicious, staff was exceptional, very attentive! We will certainly be back!

We stayed in a jacuzzi suite for our anniversary and it was a lovely stay! The room is well decorated however, very throwback to the 1990's. Kerstead's everywhere. But comfortable beds, lovely rustic hotel bar and a great buffet style breakfast. Even with the somehqatvout dated decor, I would not hesitate to stay again!

We always stay here when visiting Kingston. They even upgraded us to a whirlpool suite this time. Great place for a mini getaway.

First off, their complementary breakfast is actually good. Which never happens. Staff was friendly and helpful, the bistro is open until midnight which is a great place to end your evening. The beds induce an amazing coma like sleep. 100% would recommend. Love this place.

We stayed the night while visiting relatives in October, and the room was spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfast was great too! We had plans for dinner with family, but would have loved to eat at the restaurant, as both looked lovely.

Fireside Inn was an excellent choice for our stay in Kingston, Ontario It was easy to find, convenient to highway. Easy to get to downtown Nice outside area. Safe parking. Large room with seating. Breakfast was excellent and well served Our stay was excellent.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. My experience is always wonderful. The bar/lounge or the restaurant both offer wonderful food with great staff. The rooms are comfortable and homey. Just what you need when you are away from home.

Charming exterior and cozy, quaint looking little room, but mattress was not breathable and pillows were sub par, didn't even really seem shaped like proper pillows. Room had no ventilation, air was very stagnant and heavy with humidity for a long time after using the shower. The service, however, was very friendly and efficient and there is an outdoor lounge and pool here! There are also 2 restaurants and the breakfast buffet is phenomenal. All in all, still a nice place to stay.

They took us in 5am after going home to our fan having been on fire. It was chaos and I had spent night at the hospital after running in for all the animals. The hotel was very nice. Breakfast was amazing. We are so very grateful and just wish we could've enjoyed it a bit more.

My family and I stayed at the BW Fireside Inn in Kingston ON on our way to Montreal and Quebec City. This hotel was really nice. The decor of the rooms was like a friendly hunting lodge. The air conditioning worked great. We took advantage of the outdoor pool which after a 7 hour car ride was refreshing. They even provided drink service poolside. The breakfast the next morning was great too. Downtown Kingston was better than expected. Please check it out on your way to Fort Henry you won't be disappointed.

We stopped at the Fireside Inn on our way from Toronto to Montreal and I cannot say enough good things about it to do it justice. The people are not just friendly, but interested in your comfort. The rooms have special touches like REAL cream in the room fridge for your coffee, china mugs and metal spoons also! Books that you can take with you, beautiful views of the pool and garden and hands down the best "free" hotel breakfast I've ever had on either side of the ocean! AND it didn't cost a fortune.

Enjoyed our one night stay using Best Western Points, upgraded to a whirlpool suite by the front desk attendant. Breakfast included in room rate, was okay… nothing to write home about. Friendly front Desk Staff at check in and check out. Did not use any of the hotel facilities. Would not hesitate to return to Best Western Fireside Inn next time we are passing through the Kingston area.

Cottage country style, large, cozy, and clean rooms. Room is a little damp. Hotel is good price for the value. Have a decent morning breakfast and location is close to the 401. Parking is also available. Overall well kept, and cozy place. Location is mediocre but still really enjoyed the stay. Staff was friendly.

Really interesting hotel. It has a romantic cottage feel to it but still great amenities. There are two restaurants inside as well which is great. The only down fall was that the roof was being replaced, so while having breakfast, it was extremely loud. The workers and hotel staff also did not put down drop sheets and there was debris falling into the breakfast area.

Wonderful stay. Wish we had checked in before we stopped for supper as the restaurant special looked good and great price but we had already eaten! Room was great, comfortable and even had a fireplace. The included breakfast was amazing — so many choices — left full and extremely satisfied. Overall — fantastic experience.

Stayed here for the Easter weekend, was a great experience. The staff are friendly and caring. Both restaurants had great service. The room was very comfortable and we loved the decor. The fireplace was nice. Definitely on our list of places to stay again!

The room was cozy and comfortable. We had our own fireplace! The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The only negative thing I would say is that our room didn't have a microwave in it like some other hotels, but that's something I should have looked out for. But when I wanted to warm up my food, the staff was very accommodating and warmed it up for me in the kitchen. Great service!

Very Cute Holiday Lodge! Check in was quick and friendly, I appreciated that the Lady at the desk did not announce my hotel room out loud and instead showed me the room number. The room was everything that I could have asked for, there was a fireplace, a sofa, mini fridge, the bathroom was good. The bed was a bit on the harder side, but not to the point of making sleep impossible. The Lounge/Bar was outdoor/hunting themed, the food was good, and the service was fast. Breakfast was everything I have grown to expect from a Best Western (of all the hotel breakfasts I have had, Best Western is always at the top of the list), excellent selection and service. I did not use any of the other amenities, but my overall experience at this hotel was positive.

Second visit to this hotel based on very positive experience on my first visit. Ambience comfortable and relaxing. Good value, clean & spacious rooms. Decor a little dated and overwhelmingly beige. Good food service in lounge provides late evening casual meals and drinks when the main restaurant closes which also has two big natural cozy wood burning fireplaces. Better than average buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant which has tasteful decor and a natural wood burning fireplace. All rooms have electric fireplaces and sofas. Not in the downtown core, but an easy drive away. Ample free outdoor parking. Double shower head in tub. Good amenities including exercise facility, Wi-Fi & business centre.

Stayed here in the Northern Lights suite. It was immaculate. The room was very nice and the customer service was excellent. It was New Years eve and yet we never heard a peep. Surprisingly it was very quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent stay, hotel is a bit dated but clean and quiet for sleeping. The beds were amazing better than home. Bathroom updated very nice, shower excellent. Bar, Lounge great experience. Hoping to stay here again this summer.

We stayed one night at Best Western Fireside Inn in Kingston. The experience was great. All the staff was very helpful to get us to our destination. Breakfast was very good — lots to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable.

We never expected Best Western to be so cozy and with so much character. The old children books and a fireplace in our room contribute to this atmosphere. However, the best part is a delicious buffet breakfast served in a nicely decorated restaurant. I think Charles Dickens would like this place a lot. Highly recommended, especially during Christmas holidays.

This is an excellent Hotel and the staff are as pleasant and helpful as the place. The room we had was comfortable and cozy and reading by the Fireside was a real treat in a cold winter snap. Both the Restaurant and Bistro are first rate and the staff throughout the establishment pleasant and ever helpful. This Hotel is truly a Plus in every way including the green option supporting sustainability. THANKS for a most enjoyable 2 day stay, we enjoyed it and we will be back.

This hotel was well located, and the room was well appointed. There was an unresolved problem with the heating (too hot) but other than that the stay was quite pleasant and decent. Staff was especially well trained and accommodating for the most part. The breakfast, buffet style with the oft-found waffles — — was a noticeable notch above the standard. Very well done. I would definitely recommend this location.

The decor at the Fireside is great — it's dated, and I don't mean that in a negative way. It has a very classy mid-nineties kinda feel to it, with the decor and colour schemes. Something like a… nü-nostalgia washed over me when enjoying the buffet breakfast in Tom's Place. It just felt classy. There's no irony behind my comments — it's got a look and feel all it's own. I'd totally stay there again.

Had a very relaxing time in our King Suite. What this hotel lacks in modern accommodations makes up for their exceptional customer service. Room was nicely appointed, living room with comfortable couch, spacious bathroom and separated bedroom. Received a nice bonus of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in the evening, and BEST OF ALL in-room breakfast! We have stayed in many hotels in the Kingston area, and will consider staying here again.

The Fireside Inn should be considered by leisure travellers for short or longer term stays. Everything about the experience, from check in to check out, was exceptional. Staff courteous, friendly and professional throughout our stay. Room was well appointed, including a fireplace. The lounge was kitchy with a full pub type menu which we sampled and quite enjoyed. Overall highly recommended. Also free parking and nice looking pool.

This place isn't cheap but is definitely worth the money. We stayed in the Space suite for our honeymoon and had nothing but excellent service from the moment we arrived. The suite is one of a kind and is something that should be experienced in person. I had seen pictures, and took many myself, but none of them do the room its full value. The lighting options allow for a full lunar appeal and who can beat sleeping in a shuttle. My only advice would be to bring a small fan as the the shuttle can get warm inside and the room is so large that the air conditioner is quite far away. We are already planning on returning for our anniversary.

My stay at Best Western Fireside was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and courteous. The room was a bit dated but was clean and comfortable. The lounge was also a bit dated but maybe the lodge feel was what they are going for. The service and was good. The breakfast buffet was good and a good selection. Overall I'd recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

Beautiful room. Beds & pillows very comfortable. Not sure why only one hand towel for 2 people. Shortage of wall plugs frustrating as well as lack of microwave in room. Atmosphere & service at Tom's place was fine. Complimentary breakfast satisfactory.

We stayed four nights at this hotel. Good service and excellent work by housekeeping staff. Above average breakfast buffet at the restaurant. Pub staff provide great service to outdoor pool as well. Efficient check-in and out and we were there on a busy weekend with parents dropping students off at university. The decor is a bit dated but you can tell the owners take pride and take care of the property very well.

Great hotel, great staff. Outdoor pool with bar service was a nice bonus. Great breakfast. We didn't have a chance to try the restaurant or bar/lounge but they menus looked great! We would recommend this hotel.

We were at Tom's place and we had an excellent server that looked after the group of 10 extremely well. Great food, comfy big chairs a great place to be.

Great experience from check in to check out! Likely the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Every staff member we came into contact with was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well laid out, choices were great, food was fresh and hot. Breakfast location was clean and had a very pleasant atmosphere. Just a quick note to increase your enjoyment — if you have any mobility challenges (we did not) ask for a first floor room, as there is not an elevator in this hotel.

First off, I have to say that there are many hotel options in the city of Kingston and surrounding areas. With that in mind, every time I come to this area or even within an hour, I stay here — the staff is very attentive and genuine and seem like they are all having fun which is of course contagious. They are professional and accommodating and as silly as it sounds, it feels like you are staying with friends. The morning breakfast, which is included, is actually very good and is a lot closer to the home-cooked breakfast that you want than anywhere else I have stayed. The gym could use a bit of maintenance but has adequate and modern equipment albeit in a fairly small room. Luckily, I haven't had to share the space with anyone before. Both attached restaurants are good and an excellent option if you want to hang close — the interior of Tom's Place is very much like that cottage you visited once when you were a kid. It doesn't feel like a hotel bar/restaurant. And if you want to eat elsewhere or something different — just ask the hotel staff. They have great recommendations and will be interested in your report of your experience if you feel like sharing. I genuinely wouldn't mind if business brought me here more often — I am always happy to stay here. Highly recommended.

Amazing hotel! Very nice rooms. However they can work on there breakfast and the pool was closed because it was winter. Indoor pool would be nice.

The rooms are very clean, comfy beds and just a short drive to the waterfront (about 10 minutes).

Stayed in a jacuzzi suite for a night when visiting from out of town. Loved the room, very cozy and comfortable. A couple hours after arrival there was a knock at the door with complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The jacuzzi tub was huge and really nice. The room also included complimentary room service breakfast the next morning. Nothing but good things to say, would stay here again anytime!

My family and I stayed at the Fireside Inn over the long Thanksgiving weekend. We found our rooms to be very comfortable and enjoyed the full breakfast. The desk clerk, Gytha, was especially helpful. We will return.

We booked a standard queen room while traveling across Canada on our Harley. We expected a normal Best Western based on the relatively low room rates (AARP). As it turned out, this is probably the best Best Western we've ever stayed at. The rooms are modern and well equipped with all the amenities you'd expect. Plus, in our case, we were upgraded to their largest king whirlpool suit at no additional charge. Although it would have been a very pleasant stay without the upgrade. Don't go looking off the premises for a restaurant. Eat at their onsite restaurant, which has excellent food and service at a reasonable price (considering the quality).

We've stayed here a few times when we had to return to Kingston, mostly for deaths in the family, unfortunately. They've always been very kind and helpful, and gave us their best room rate throughout our stay due to the circumstances. Will likely continue to stay there when the occasion takes us back there.
