Not a good situation or good customer service here. They charge someone’s credit card and weren’t authorized. Top it off they are responsible and won’t fix it. Not worth the hassle imho.

Charging guests for unconfirmed reservations is poor customer service and also illegal.

Sorry, too bad, beautiful view of the lake from room 110, but the room was really disgusting, in need of a major clean up and or renovations!
On our arrival had to get them to come back to vacuum all the dog hairs left on the carpet, drinks and ice still in the fridge from previous occupants, dirty pillow case covers and comforter cover also! For the price of this lake view room it’s really a super rip off, oh yeah, their add stated also that we were to have bath robes in our beautiful romantic room, sorry that didn’t happen either, and a coffee maker that the coffee pot was from another machine, so that was no good either, no in room coffee for us! Not worth the money just for the view.

We stayed in the "spa suite". The spa was dirty-soap scum and hair. We cleaned it ourselves. Old heating vents are falling apart and dirty. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The air conditioner leaked all over our luggage which they were unconcerned about and in turned questioned giving our "damage deposit" back. The air conditioner had leaked before there was obvious water damage to the wall previously. Trains are loud. Last but not least… they charged me $10 more to book over the phone than it would have cost to book online. On a better note? fridge was ice cold breakfast was decent and bella bistro up the road was amazing. Certainly NOT worth $175 per night.

Old place. Middle of renovations. They're working to provide a better service, but slow working staff left us waiting until 3 to get into our rooms. Conveniently placed river-side. But you wouldnt go for a swim with the water conditions.

Lots of bugs get in your room, as close to water. Beds are not very comfortable. Good breakfast with options.

Not worth the money. Nowhere near the photos. In fact, I would consider them deceptive or wishful thinking on the owners part. May have been great at one time but not now. Unfortunate, as the location has great potential if some investment was made. Bad experience for my Grandson and family. Would not recommend. If I could give less than one star I would.

Very friendly folks who work here. The property is lovely with ducks, geese, bunnies & turtles on it. They're in the process of updating breakfast room/ lounge area. They offer hot or cold breakfast which was good & included in the room rate.

Worst hotel stay ever! The breakfast was 45 minutes late all three days. We couldn’t even wait as we had to go to work. The rooms were not cleaned any of the three days. The curtains did not shut, so there was no privacy. The beds were not made, and to top it all off, we had to go ask for towels each night after work.

We stayed in room 110. I wouldn't recommend anything less. Beautiful view of Collins Bay and Wolf Island. The owners are working on improving the motel and suites. In its current condition, it's okay if you just need a place to sleep but not ideal as a couple's romantic getaway.

Only giving one star because This place is discusting! Terrible service, lost our booking, dingy and dark rooms, no wonder why we had spiders in our room! I stepped in and saw spiders and walked back out! NEVER STAY HERE! Woke up this morning to a credit card charge of $300+ from this motel that should be closed down!

Worst service I've ever experienced, did not have our booking. Rooms were not clean and spiders the size of a quarter crawling on the walls.

Bayside was an okay place to stay. This motel is right next to the train tracks. Train goes by very often and it's very loud. Beautiful setting in the back. Waterfront and a nice lawn. Easy going atmosphere. Very close to the road and the train tracks in the front. Clean. Comfortable. Convience store with gas across the road. Tim Hortons, Laundry services open 24 hrs. Couple restaurants just down the road. Pricey but very good food.

Beautiful views, some rooms have private deck/patios and very kind staff. Inside is clean, comfortable and makes for a great choice for accommodation especially so close to the water.

I was booked here for tomorrow night but had to cancel due to a family emergency. I still have to pay the full amount plus tax. I am very upset. I asked to speak to the manager who was advising the receptionist what to say the whole conversation but refused to speak to me. Not impressed…

Really nice manager and staff and an awesome home cooked hot breakfast every morning.

One of the best accommodations right by the lake — very comfortable bed — we went I to deep sleep. Breakfast included a variety of menu options. Staff was also helpful in completing our request. Would decently recommend and come back to this place.

Average accommodations for the price, if you don't like the sound of trains and their horns blasting all night don't stay here… The view and grounds were nice. Also met and had fun with many of the other guests. The staff we interacted with were all amazing, kind, and helpful… I would stay there again!

Do not go here. My family had the worst experience we have ever had working with the staff. They seemed unable to understand are requests. They were often rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Amazing experience, great rooms and service and best of all Amazing breakfast. I never expected so much from this hotel and I am truly amazed. I wish I had found this hotel earlier!

Really nice people, fantastic location sadly spoilt by the railway line close by. Each passing train would sound it's horn 3 or 4 Times and this went on all through the night. Very little sleep to be had. Sadly the place could do with a refurb which appeared to be underway at the time of our arrival.

Great place to get away for the weekend. Hope you like trains as they pass by every hour!

Setting and ideal location but everything is marred by the train line that passes a few meters from the rooms, dirty and dark accommodation. I do not recommend.

This is great place to stay. Very clean modern rooms have a large refrigerator, microwave, kitchen utensils, plates and a small sink. The washroom is clean and modern. The staff is friendly and they provide a good breakfast.

Would not recommend. Over-priced for the condition of the rooms. The train is extremely loud, and you can hear everyone in the rooms around you. We also were greeted with a swarm of flies when we walked into the office. The room was humid and the air was sticky. Would never ever go back. We felt very uncomfortable when voicing concerns to the owner… there were also added charges that we had not agreed to… too many red flags!

Our room (#105) and the property was not like pictures posted on website! The room we stayed in was incredibly over priced for the condition it was in. When I expressed my concerns to front desk staff she explained we booked an economy room and offered us a different room. The manager was also very understanding and offered us an upgraded room. I declined the new rooms since we already removed top cover on beds, used restroom, and needed sleep asap. As others posted, the train traffic definitely hinders sleep. We booked this room as a resting point to break up a 14 hr drive. If you are looking at this place for the same purpose: a) make sure you avoid the "economy" room and b) bring ear plugs to muffle the train noise if you're a lite sleeper.

Not overall clean, but the main thing we hated is the TRAINS!

Bad experiences, we rented a small apartment: room and kitchen separated. The State of affairs was very dirty, the floor fat not washed, the full fat Cook who works at half, the sink not cleaned, mold on bathtub joints and contours. Anyway, it was very dirty, and the height of all, a dead mouse between the radiator and the cooker, dried since we don't know how long. The rooms are not isolated, we heard the neighbors all night. Even after all this knowledge, the owner was not focused on customer service. However, the only positive point, the setting was minimal beautiful lake view.

I was very pleased. The room over looked the bay, it was clean and had plenty of complimentary soaps etc. It had a fridge, MW, bar sink and coffee maker which all worked and were in fine shape. The trains trailed off later at night, but did not disturb me. It was kinda cool to see and hear trains. There is a plentiful back yard, very accomodating clerk and owner who gave me a coupon for a really good reasturant a few doors down (it was an excellent meal, priced right with the 15% off coupon from the motel). They seem to have the right spirit in fixing up existing rooms and upgrading an older motel to A+ conditions. There is free W-fi and free local calls. Compared to the other lower priced chains, this is a real deal. I also pulled my bike trailer in with no issues.
