Stay there twice a week for work, very clean and well maintained, recently renovated, the room is always set up with what I request the second I walk in. Very friendly staff that know the area and suggestions for food or amenities are always available! Oh yeah, and oreos!

Had my honeymoon suite last september when I got married. Great place to stay after getting married.

Amazing staff, SO accommodating and helpful. We were stranded in Sarnia after rescuing 61 dogs from Texas, heading back to Toronto. They made sure we were safe and warm and that everyone was okay.
Can’t say enough positive things about our experience at this hotel!

We booked our stay online 24 hours in advance. It was very convenient to access after crossing the bridge. When we arrived there was a line waiting to check in and no one was at the desk. It took several minutes before anyone came to the desk. When we tried to check in, the receptionist couldn't find our reservation so we got downgraded from a king bedroom to a room with two queen beds. It sounded like they had overbooked the type of room we booked and paid for online. Additionally, we always try to look for hotels with a complimentary breakfast and when we booked we were under the impression that one was included. Turns out, the breakfast is only available on week days and today is a Saturday. Kind of a bummer. We stopped by the weight room but it seemed like it hadn't been attended in a while because the water container was empty. The room is decently clean but the walls are extremely thin and we can hear all of our neighboring guests quite clearly. This might not be an ideal stop if you have children who make a lot of noise in the night. Overall, it is an affordable and decent spot to stop if you're traveling through, but be sure to plan a Tim Hortons run for breakfast if you come on a weekend.

Great experience again at this location. Excellent service from Kyla at the front desk — she really went above and beyond. The restaurant next door (B&B) has such a good breakfast (comes with hotel stay) and the best waitress, named Debbie. Thanks to those two our trip was perfect!

Nice placed. Stayed cause my home was being sprayed for bug issue. Had no issues with checking in or the room. Room remote was called clean remote. And it did not live up to its name. Front desk replaced 2x but they were brand new remotes and not synced. No biggie found guide online. Problem fixed. There could have been an exhaust fan in the restroom but very nice to have the internal and external exits so we can take our dog to the bathroom.

Hotel staff is great and friendly. The breakfast lounge is actually great and the service was amazing. No for the less great things… Pillows weren't comfortable. The shower has no light in it and relies on the light coming from the bathroom. Also quite dusty in the shower. There was a very loud wedding party until probably midnight time which interrupted our night sleep. The pool wasn't available for us between 3 and 5 PM which was the only time we could actually use it and we ended up not even using it because the wedding guests were everywhere. Very bad experience, the kids were disappointed.

Loved this location! Wished that we could have had more time to take a walk about. The area was beautiful. The hotel was very nice and all amenities were great. The restaurant was a very nice addition and the breakfast there was excellent. Loved this place.

They did an amazing job hosting our wedding last weekend, we could not be happier with the setup, the service, and our entire experience. The ballroom and patio were flawless, and the food was phenomenal, we heard countless compliments from our guests. Thank you so much!

Located right off Hwy 402 close to Port Huron, MI — located in Point Edward and close to the river, lake, restaurants and shopping. Rooms are well kept, counter staff and room service was fantastic. Lots of free parking and close to all local attractions. Great place to stay if you’re visiting or just passing through Lambton County.

Did two days of in class training for work here, and it was pretty nice. The lobby was esthetically pleasing and the furniture comfortable. Customer service was usually at the front desk for any assistance. If not, they were close by, never difficult to find. The room we were in was air conditioned and had a functional layout. The class aways had ice cold water at each table, and staff would top them off after every break. Restaurant attached with interior entrance as well.

I was a patron at the B&B Tap &Grill connected to the hotel. I had the Southwest Chicken Quesadilla from the Starter menu. It was ok. I was drinking a glass of ice water. The bartender was the only server in sight and she seemed friendly but visits to the table to were few and far between. I had to ask for the bill. She was lucky to receive a tip today.

This hotel was very good. We try to stay at BW Plus. We find them good value. The bed in this room was so good we wanted to take it home with us. The breakfast was great. The hotel is very quiet and clean. We have stayed here before. Since we were in the area we decided to stay again. The staff were all very personable and caring.

Good place. Clean, good internet, friendly staff. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. I prefer the buffet style. It is a restaurant. I got sick from my food. Otherwise, the place is great.

This was an awesome hotel! Restaurant on premise has excellent food and serves beer and cocktails. The room was very clean with all the amenities. We had a Jacuzzi tub, large closet, great bedding on the king bed and very soft towels. BW has definitely stepped up since the last time I stayed at one! Staff was excellent also — and location was great! We are already planning our next stay there for our anniversary! Good job BW!

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is older but rooms are very clean. Could use some freshening up in regards to odors, and hot water to bathroom sink. Depending on where you room is located, it can be noisy.

This is a very nice clean and quite place to stay while I'm out of town for business. I would recommend it to everyone.

Was a little perturbed that there was no microwave and the fridge was crazy loud. Luckily it was cold enough out to keep my next day's lunch in the van. Don't know about the rest of the food in their restaurant but the nachos, while being a very generous portion mind you (I'm a fat guy and couldn't eat more than half) used garbage tortillas chips and all I tasted was grease and food coloring. The bed and pillows, to the contrary, were very comfortable, I slept great. There was a very large flatscreen in the room and everything in the hotel seemed very clean and modern. I was charged for a missing alarm clock (170.00, was it made of gold? ) and the charge was reversed right away after I explained that I haven't used an alarm clock since the invention of cellphones and she was polite about it. The girl at front desk also was very friendly and professional, as was the the girl who brought me the nachos. I'd stay here again, I just likely wouldn't eat from the restaurant next time and likely take inventory once I am in there.

The best western guildwood inn was a very modern looking hotel with many features that stood out to us as overnight guests. The staff were very friendly and all of our interactions were positive. The room had a flat screen TV, clock radios with built in outlets next to the bed, the bed was very comfy and there was very little noise coming from other guests. There was a bar and restaurant attached to the hotel which also adds an option of in-hotel entertainment. Overall I would highly recommend the guildwood inn looking for a nice hotel in Sarnia.

A very comfortable and pleasant stay. We were in a premium room. It was very affordable and very nice. We had a separate living room and bedroom. Tastefully decorated and Avery confortable bed. Travel quite a bit on business and I think is one of my top hotels to stay at. Can’t wait to return. Breakfast was included and it was very tasty with quick service.

I enjoyed my stay untill I got charged for 2 bath robes when there was none in my room when I started my stay. I was very disappointed when that happened because I've never had a problem with best western plus before.

We went for breakfast. The food was excellent along with the service. We will definitely go back and my grown son said the pancakes were best he had ever had.

Every thing was great as usual I used my points to get my room which was great because I found the price per night a little high. Other then TV I had no problems. Will certainly stay hear again.

A huge thank you to tracey morrow and fantastic staff and also the kind management for their empathy shown to daly, gifford and cunningham families. Our families recently suffered the GREAT LOSS of Ellen Gifford (Daly). Can't say enough about it, it was super from food prepared and presentation to staff and set up of room. It was truly a CELEBRATION OF ELLEN'S LIFE and perfect venue. Again huge huge thank you to all at guildwood inn.

Went for breakfast. The restaurant was newly renovated and looked amazing. Had so much more lighting then previously. We went for breakfast, hoping that they had eggs Benedict. Sure enough, they had 3 different kinds of it! Food was absolutely amazing (chef came out to make sure we were satisfied). Service was just as wonderful; staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They didn't smother us but also made sure we were content. Would highly recommend to anyone! Big menu with lots to choose from. Will definitely go back.

I have wonderful and quiet time here. The staff are very friendly here. I have no problem coming back again. The meals I had are really good.

I only ate at the restaurant, but the food was delicious and the staff was great. The atmosphere was nice for a Sunday brunch with friends.

I stayed here recently for multiple nights for business, and was very pleased with the hotel and the value provided. The staff were very friendly and always offering assistance, the quality and cleanliness of the room were very good. The location was great with proximity to cross the border, the casino or just to walk along the waterfront. The hotel restaurant had good food and great service, I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Relatively new and close to the border. Room was clean. I just found the layout a little odd. It was a pretty long walk to get to my room. I tried finding an alternate route to the lobby and ended up get lost. I would recommend this place to others.

I travel probably more than 5 months of the year. In my travels I need to find a very soft bed & this place hits the mark. Clean comfortable room and size is very nice. Also like to try & get suite with backside to parking lot is great. Breakfast each weekday morning included in price it's pretty good for free.

Stopped in for a very quick sleep. Room was clean and the staff was polite and friendly. Hallways and lobby looked liked they had been updated recently with nice decor.

We were very impressed with the friendliness, cleanliness and value of this Best Western. It exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All areas of the hotel were clean, gym, pool, rooms. Very comfy beds and super staff in the hotel and restaurant. The texting guests to check on our happiness was a super nice touch!

BW Guildwood Inn is a Top Notch place to stay. Amazing Staff and Great Restaurant. Very Clean and comfortable. We have events there with large groups and we are always satisfied with the service and amenities. Highly recommended.

The wait staff at Shelly's was the best we've ever witnessed! Thank you for being so wonderful to us. We had 3 meals there and a wedding dinner as well. Every meal was so yummy and I'd highly recommend this restaurant. Congratulations to the chef!

Stayed there for a wedding, the wedding was awesome! Good was great! Breakfast in the morning was great! All the staff were friendly and helpful, took only about 2 minutes to check in, our room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is a great place for a wedding, beautiful room and beautiful patio, would definitely stay there again!

Comfortable beds and clean room. Nice location. Our air conditioner leaked all over the floor and soaked some of my items, but the front desk staff was very apologetic and gave us a discount off our room. I feel they would have fixed the situation or changed us rooms if we had been staying more than one night. Would stay again.

We didn't have the best stay so the general manager kindly comped us another nights stay free of charge. Very nice service and glad they did the right thing!

Not one bit of the stay was negative, they had apples on the front desk which was a pleasant treat when we walked in after my friends wedding.

No TV guide. Can't access the HDMI port on the TV. Allows pets? somebody's yappy little dog was barking for hours in their room.

Good value for money, pleasant staff. The negatives: lack of pressure in the shower and the quality of the food at the restaurant of the hotel is very average.

We stayed one night right after crossing the border. The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. They have added complimentary breakfast which was a nice surprise since last year when we visited. Overall we will likely continue to stop by on our trips from the US to Canada.

I have stayed here many times and always enjoyed my stays and received good service and requested my company to put me here usually for fairly lengthy stays but after the poor service and attitude I was treated with this morning I nor any one from my company will be likely to stay here again.

Good amenities, good price, good service overall. But the receptionniste dude was way past retirement in my opinion, took us 45 minutes standing there to take down our info and our credit card number. At 1 AM, you expect to check in in 10-15 minutes, not 45 minutes. Couldnt read the small characters on our cards… a younger receptionniste would have earned an extra star for this review.

I stay here every few years when I return to Sarnia to visit friends. It is always very clean and always very comfortable (the beds are great). Never a complaint; I'm extremely satisfied every time. Staff are friendly as well. Actually, exceeds expectations.

Restaurant wanted to charge me an extra $12 for a coffee to go. Bit excessive in my books.

Wasn't all that impressed.

Stayed here for my honeymoon. Left a garment, they said they found it, turns out they fished it out of the garbage and gave it to me covered in red wine in a garbage bag. Repulsive. Told them I wouldn't have wanted it had I known. They didn't even apologize.

Great experience! They were still completing some renovations but the place was looking great and my room/stay was fantastic when I stayed a few nights back in early October 2011. I didn't eat at the restaurant but I definitely recommend staying here.
