Warning possible hidden cameras. Found a huge hole behind a mirror but the mirror is screwed in the top so I cant see behind it. Looks like a two way mirror. The vents are taped on with electrical tape. Will never come back again. Had a horrible time. My friend went to book the room for 6 days and kept calling me saying the price is raised from 350 to 400 to 500 for 6 days. The room we booked 5 hours in advance was given to a couple who were the same heritage as the owners. The bathroom has pee stains all over the bath tub and toilet seat. I found trash under the beds and the microwave was filled with some white liquid. The sheets were stained brown and other colors. Had to pay for the Wi-Fi although when I went here last summer it was free and 250 for a week. I cant think of a worse place. I came back to this hotel assuming it would be the same hospitality as last year and I was sorely disipointed.

The place is filthy. I found a used needle and spoon the owners simply said oh that happens. But it gets better not only do they not care the place is full of cockroaches! These people need to be shut down they charge 100% too much to live in filth. Oh and in case they try to say I never stayed… I'm there now!

Stayed a weekend here room was very clean and fresh the cleaning person was around each morning with clean towels bedding if I wanted it and took the trash out.

Had to find a place for my papi for the night while he visited me and my kids. Not only was it priced very reasonably. The owner was more than happy to help us at 1 am when we were in need. Owner is very nice and helpful. No problems with late checkouts and doesn't overcharge you at every chance he has. Will return again if my dad enjoyed his rest for the night.

Ok we were a little worried to start this place has had a bad rep for years. This is new owners and their cleaning it up. Owner was very honest and told us that the smoking rooms had not been done, there was some paint peeling in bathroom and the front entrance had cracks nothing serious. The thing is it is on a busy road so it was noisy it did die down later at night. Room was big beds are very comfortable. The only reason for the lower rating was noise. Keep at it you guys we will stay again.

This place is dirty. The floors are sticky to walk on, there are tiles missing in the bathroom wall, and the grout was stained and discolored like it might have mold. The room smelled.

This place is quiet, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. I have heard horror stories from many people about this place but I have not seen any kind of negative here. The room is comfortable and not expensive.

Terrible and ignorant service! They have a no refund policy but they only make you aware of it when you ask to be refunded, immidiatly noticed that the door on my room has been kicked in numerous times, as well as the window, the place is absolutely disgusting, lots of mold, wouldnt recommend this motel to anyone!

Very clean comfortable rooms with great Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs and staff that was extremely helpful and friendly. I will come back again and would recommend this place to everyone.

They help out locals who are in need of a place to stay when in real need. And that is something that puts them as awsome people in my books. I was just in need of help they helped I thank yous so much.

Great place to stay if you are on a budget clean renovated rooms with fridge microwave, coffee maker, comfortable beds, high quality towels, hot tub, staff is very friendly and accommodating, will stay again and recommend to others.

Excellent experience at a budget place, great value for money, lived in room no 24 with my family of 4, cot was provided for free, everything worked fridge, microwave, coffee maker, cable tv. Wi-Fi speed was very good, heating was appropriate needs face lifting, the owners who were friendly and helpful informed that after interior renovation is completed work on facade will start in spring of 2015.

Pros: cheap; new owners where very kind. Cons: Very bad reputation with local residents (deaths in hotel, drug use and selling, etc) ; walls are paper thin and we could hear our room neighbour during their intimate time together; booked no smoking room and it was VERY evident that it was smoked in quite a bit; there appears to be a pool out front but it is not functioning. Overall, we would not book this motel again simply because of the issues above.

The rate was low, but my non-smoking room was pervaded by the smell of stale smoke. I contracted more than a dozen red itchy welts during my stay, which I attribute to bed bugs. The place was a typical old somewhat run-down mom and pop motel. There was lots of space in the room, but the shower stall was tiny. It was quiet at night. The owners were cordial. No breakfast was provided, and there was no coffee maker in the room. The Wi-Fi was free but undependable (slow, and unable to connect for a 12 hour period). There were no drinking glasses or cups the first night. The next day the sheets were not changed. New towels were provided but the dirty ones were left in a pile on the floor.

While traveling, I happened to pass through Chatham. I was looking for a place to stay. I pulled into Kent Motel Drive way not knowing how that place may be. The management was very polite, showed me the newly renovated room. It was very clean and fully equipped with all the necessities like, fridge, microwave etc. The price was cheaper as compared to other motels that I have stayed. It was an excellent deal for the price I paid and the services I got. I would recommend to other travelers to stay there and find out for themselves. It is under new management. You would save money and get the same services as 5 star hotels.

We had to be in Chatham overnight and were looking for somewhere cheap to stay. I've been in many $50 motels and this one is actually quite nice. The rooms are bigger than normal, the furniture is adequate, cable TV works, and it even has Wi-Fi. I had to write this review since the one I read below mentioned that the place was not clean. I'm not sure where they got this impression; our room is spotless, nice clean linens, and unlike most older motels, it doesn't even smell funny. The fixtures and tiles in the bathroom are old and dated, but still clean and functional. Also, the couple at the front desk were extremely friendly, welcoming, and polite. This is also a change from most cheap motels. If I have to come to Chatham again I'll definitely be back. It's no 5-star hotel, but I'll give it a 5-star rating for far exceeding expectations.

My first time in Chatham. We went to ENCORE then checked in the Kent motel. That place has a bad vibe haunted~ room 22 is one of the worst! needs to be cleaned. NEVER AGAIN! that place needs an upgrade. Lots of deaths occured at that place.
