Room could have been cleaner, there was a beer cap on the floor when we arrived at the room and random little pieces of hair in the bathroom. The A/C got really loud everytime the compressor kicked in so it wasn't feasible to leave on all night. There was only one towel in the bathroom for the two of us and took 30 minutes to get a second one. Staff are nice though, and there are four walls with a bed which is the real reason we stayed here. Room is very modern looking though, and the king bed was comfortable.

Room was renovated but the balcony door could barely be opened as it was still old and off the tracks. Also, there was nothing to latch to door onto which meant it was permanently unlocked. They were still renovating the rooms directly below is so the noise was a bit annoying first thing in the morning. Place is nice otherwise… Im sure it will be fine once renos are done. I would definitely stay there again.

Hopefully after renovations this will be a three star. Restaurant was not ready, no telephone in my room, wires hanging out of wall, smoke detector lying on desk, bathroom curtain rod fell down, furnishings poor quality and appeared temporary, no automatic doors make it hard to navigate, ice machine broken. Staff pleasant enough. Did not use pool or Wi-Fi. When complete I might try it again…

Spent a night there with the kids. The room was clean & tidy. And had fun in the pool. Can't wait to see the end result of their renovations.

This place needs a wrecking ball. Not lipstick. Pool renovations are pretty rough and pool area is often dirty/ lots of different bugs on the floors. The pool deck has lots of low puddle spots leaving many areas slippery and unable to drain. The pool has had some issues with being clean on a few occasions, but staff has rectified the issue and seems to be keeping a better eye on the pool itself. Hopefully the rest of the renovation improves the overall condition as a whole.

Hotel main front desk area is clean, same with the rooms. One good thing about this hotel is that it's close-by the highway. There is plenty of parking and there's a indoor swimming pool. Only thing is that during my stay on 2018-May-26 stay, the restaurant appears to be under construction. Hopefully it'll open soon. I recommend this hotel as a good rest stop.

Good and bad here. They're still doing renovation so I think they will end up with a great looking place. Interior hallway, and bathroom are fixed up modernly. Room was dusty in some areas, I'm guessing from renovation going on. Staff all seemed really friendly. Easy location off highway and shops all around this area.

Staff were helpful and the pool was nice. Was under renovations, including the restaurant. Otherwise, it was clean and quiet.

The room were I stayed was freshly renovated, and it was nicely done. The hotel still being renovated.

Renovations have taken far to long, been over a year. Rooms are dated and the housekeeping staff sure need to relearn how to properly clean a room. Common areas look like they haven’t had a proper cleaning in months, missed a lot of areas. The main entrance to eat to the motel is very difficult to locate if you are not a local. Better sign placement is needed.

Under renovations. They knew we were coming at 4 a. M. In the morning. We were sent to the back of the hotel to park when we got there. So it was dark there was Nails screws last metal all over the ground which we didn't see when we pulled in. Got up to our room the balcony. Got woke up by the maids yelling beside our door at each other. Ice maker was broken internet was down. They said it would be sporadic but we couldn't even connect. The second morning I was woke up at 8 by construction workers. The outside doors did not lock they're open all night. When they moved us to a different room finally on the second day the outside door would not even open. The hot top was broken. Looks like people live there cigarette butts all over the place in front of their rooms. Staff was great but would never return or recommend. We were not even offered a discount for the two nights that we stayed there. We got offered a different room on the third day but we left because I was thoroughly disgusted.

We take the family to use the pool and hot tub. Recently renovated and really nice. Pool could be a little warmer.

Overall unimpressed with the hotel. The room was an ice box when we walked in as the heat was off. In — 30 degree weather you would think the heat would be on. Took hours for it to warm up. Seemed dated… I see they are doing renovations in parts of the hotel so may be different after… its in behind a Tim Horton's and is not cleanly marked so is difficult to know where to go to get to thr hotel. Most likely would not stay again… for the price expected more.

Work Xmas party was a nice gathering. But was very chill downstairs. Temperature wise that is. Felt like it was no more then 18 likely 17 degrees. But had very nice service.

Good service, and the rooms were crisp.

Great room size but not all would be satisfied with the beds and pillows. The pool was not warm enough for me and my daughter to enjoy, we stayed in less than 5 mins before I decided we would have to go back to the room. The bath needed more cleaning, also the coffee maker. I would recommend this place to people that just need a night to sleep and go.

I was in Orillia for a wedding on Saturday and was to stay at the Highwayman Inn. Don't know where to start but I guess I'll start with the positive, staff was nice during check in but did not mention the construction going on. New hottub… with merky water and water line was below jets unusable, old hottub outside on the grass. My room was at the end of the hall in which I had to pass by about 10 rooms all ripped apart actually destroyed with the doors open. A few of the rooms still had the mattress on the floor. One of the destroyed rooms even had someone, who I can only presume was a worker, sleeping on the mattress. My room wasn't much better, although it wasn't bestroyed the conditions were hardly accommodating. The sliding glass door almost broke when I tried to open it and then I had to almost take it off the track to close it. Worst experience of my 40 year long life… I ended up sleeping in my friends room in a different hotel on the spare bed with 2 other ppl. I've emailed the Highwayman Inn for a refund but have yet to hear back from them.

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. They were well furnished, clean and tidy. A larger fridge would be nice. I enjoyed the pool, but wish it was accessible later than 10pm.

Pleasant staff, good size rooms but stains on the furniture, good pool, new hot tub but no towels in the pool area, continental breakfast good.

This is a no frills motel. If you are disabled then this is not the place to go. Nice staff and a nice pool but I'm passing on trying the hot tub. Looks like it's needed a treatment since we got here 3 days ago. Great location for amenities.

Hotel was clean but a little dated, and could have used some maintenance, in all fairness they were doing Reno's to rooms when we were there. That being said the pool was more than adequate with a hot tub off to the side and the rooms were comfortable. We had the breakfast buffet in the attached restaurant, waitress was friendly and the food was decent. Will likely stay again next time we are in town.

Our room was comfortable with a large balcony. The attached restaurant had delicious food. Service was great in both the restaurant and the registration desk. They seem to be doing some renovations, which are much needed. Our room smelled fairly strongly of deodorizer and cigarette smoke, mainly due to the ancient carpets. A few minutes with the sliding balcony door open freshened it up a bit. Overall, it was a good stay.

Decent room, but the hotel smelled of smoke and could use some updating. A bit expensive for what you get.

Decent place for the price. Breakfast buffet is pretty good though.

Great Wi-Fi and comfy room. I unfortunately didnt get to stay as long as it deserved, I had a work trip on a schedule but I would love to go back.

I have stayed at the inn on several occasions over the last 20 years. The service has been consistently excellent and the staff are attentive and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the conference facilities are well suited to most any business or administrative function. The restaurant offers great food for a reasonable price and the brunch and holiday buffets are not to be missed. I recommend the Inn to anyone looking for comfort and tranquility at a reasonable price without sacrificing the extra ammenities needed to ensure a memorable stay, likely to be repeated.

Customer Service was fabulous. However the rooms were not so great. I was in one room and their was no hot water, so they put me in another room and it was older. There was no alarm clock and was a little rough looking. The hair dryer fell off the wall. There was no fridge in the room so they brought me one. Beds were very uncomfortable. The other issue I have with this hotel is there is a lot of doorways to the rooms. If your arms are full with luggage etc it proves to be a challenge to go through all the doorways. There is no automatic door access which would be an accessibility issue. Rating a 2. I had stayed at the Comfort Inn in Orillia the night before and I wish I had gone back and stayed there again.

I really like the brick walls and the customer service is impeccable, the breakfast place is not that good though.

Arrived late but was greeted cheerfully and was given a good rate on the room. The Inn was quite full, my only complaint was there was no hot water by the time I got up to take a shower.

The place was good enough for what a set out to do and that was to create an activity that my two boys and I could be all together in one room and all be able to spend time … it was prefect for my two kids because of the pool and hot tub was the best thing ever to them and they got along so well together and I finally got" what I wanted and that'd be :"HOT TUB "on top of swimming and playing with the kids and they could show me how good they can swim. I very impressed … Not yet to mention it got then off they're games… But I still had to deal with them on they're games my son brought his TV and the other one hooked up to. Even though I was irritated by the ps3 I got to kick back in the bed any use the WI FI… on my cell. … it served it's purpose. … things that bothered me was thrilled hot water took twenty minutes to get hot. … we missed the breakfast and TOWELS were scarce considering if you know how many kids and adults are going swimming oh yea and the beds were rock hard. The pool … btw don't get water in your mouth because it taste like theyre had 59 gallons of salt dumped in they're. … GROOOSOOOOOOO … The Girl who checked me in was very nice and welcoming as well as well as the girl who checked out was nice so props to the staff. … the kids wantto go back and that we will. … very soon …

Nice rooms, good service, great building.

The first room they gave us was not cleaned and no towels. So they switched our room and the second one the patio door did not open properly, the folded towels in the bathroom were wet, the toilet was so noisy after flushing it, and the chain broke in the toilet tank. Had to go to the front desk for Wi-Fi cause it did not work (with Samsung tablet) in our room. Even though the pool and breakfast was nice we will never stay there again.

Went into McCabe's Eatery located at the Highwayman Inn and Conference Centre in Orillia. Went there during the week. The place was empty save for a few locals sitting around the bar laughing and carrying on loudly. It was not inviting at all. The local drunks were leering at me and made me completely uncomfortable and one even had nerve to come over to where I was looking me up and down in his drunken state. I picked up and left so I can't even comment on the food, but as a woman they definitely made me uncomfortable. I won't be going back to this place.

Great pool, bar rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious. Friendly staff.

Great room, great staff and best off all comfy beds.

I stay there weekly quiet most Friday night's quite happy with the service.

Good location off the highway food worst I have eaten service totally sucked would not recommend to my dog.
