We've been several times and absolutely love this place. Always very romantic, great to get away, relax and unwind! We stayed in the Mexico room, one of the smaller rooms but it was just as amazing and so cozy. The dim lights and candles so amazing, same with the hot tub and steam shower.

Incredible community minded hotel that truly cares about it's community! By booking at Mariaggi's, you are supporting your community through them and that's amazing!

Staff was friendly. But the room was super small and not worth the extremely expensive price. Very dirty. At least an inch of dust and hair under the bed and found a tampon between the bed and wall once we arrived! No AC so it was super hot. Also no hot water in the morning. Was expecting a lot more for $325 a night.

Was really looking forward to staying in the Mexican. Very expensive for a small room, breakfast/parking should be includedin that price. Staff were nice and friendly but seemed chaotic and unorganized, had to frequently ask questions and with covid, wanted to avoid frequent contact. Also noisy being down town, but that's just downtown.

Wow this place is so UNDER rated! The staff were amazing and helpful. The room was extremely clean (I'm crazy and check beds) and I can tell whoever cleans these rooms does a good job. Highly recommended ❤️ Thanks again, we will be back!

Stayed in the China room. Loved all the art! My favorite was the jade dragons right when you walk in. The food was so so delicious! The hot tub, steam shower and sauna was so relaxing. All the lights could be dimmed or made brighter if you wanted so that made everything look dreamy lol plus all the lit candles. Was a great experience will definitely be back again to try another room!

We stayed in The Rome room… great time comfortable and loved the steam shower… highly recommend.

A week ago, my fiancé and I had a staycation at mariaggi theme suite hotel… with covid we are unable to travel somewhere warm, but felt like we got away. We had a great time, staff were very accommodating, room was fabulous… we would recommend everyone staycation there.

An amazing place to stay! we were in the Morocco room last night and it was absolutely beautiful. The only downfall was someone in another room was playing music loudly until 5:30 in the morning.

10/10 loved it. Good customer service also.

My Husband and I had our wedding in the Jakarta Suite (Penthouse) three years ago.
It comfortably held over 30 adults/children.
Overall, it was a beautiful and unique wedding. We said our vows near the Roman tub.
The food menu agreed upon was within our price range and was delicious!
Service was good, an unforgettable experience! ❤️ A few things could have been better, …
I was disappointed that there was no sound system in place so not everyone could hear us during the marriage vows.
Also, no music could be played (CD’s, stereo).
I would also invest in spotlight lighting… it was too dark for photos, …
I brought a ‘magic bullet’, ice, and a variety of garnish and juices for the bartender.
We were disappointed in her service… she was only able to manage beer and simple drinks (rye and coke, etc. ).
She should have prepared better for the wedding and to take responsibility for learning how to make some signature drinks for the occasion… The Manager was exceptionally professional… when we were honest and brought our concerns forward to him, he unexpectedly let us have the penthouse for another night AND made us an awesome one the house’ dinner, and served us! We so appreciated these efforts!
All in all, we had guests saying this was the best original and unique wedding they had experienced. We were happy as well… got to play Ms. PacMan and sit down arcade games and pinball machines in our birthday suits!

Every room since they r different themes is incredible. We will basically try every room if we can. We've tried 3 rooms already. Pretty pricey, but worth it. This hotel is worth it. I give 5 out 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just stayed in the Morocco suite over the passed weekend. Beautiful, romantic, luxurious. I LOVE Mariaggi’s. 10/10, will definitely be back.

The rooms are truly breathtaking the attention to detail down to the flooring and tapestries in rooms is utterly beautiful. I admire the owners design style for the rooms. Each complete with their own jacuzzi.

The steam shower with essential oil, the huge jet tub with bubble bath, the top grade bed sheets, the perfume in the bathroom, the decor of our room, the attention paid to the artifacts in our room, romantic atmosphere, great food and that cute front desk guy left us laughing! A great stay with wonderful memories!

My boyfriend and I were blown away by the detail of the room and how beautiful it was. The choice for aromatherapy in the steam shower was cool. The supper was amazing we cant stop thinking about it. 5/5 would do again.

We stayed there for our honeymoon was a great experience they upgraded our room free of charge to accommodate a couple that was married same day we were to stay there and actually got engaged in the room we were supposed to stay in so they let the other couple have our room and upgraded us was a testimate to customer service and the fact they care about people's stays at their hotel cant wait for the day we can win our way or afford to go back for a relaxing nite together.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it was absolutely fantastic. The room was super and were given a free upgrade from the Hawaii room to the China room. Dano was great from making parking downtown easy, to the tour of the building and educating on its long history of this beautiful building. The room was clean and wonderful. We received our couples massages in the Egypt room which is also beautiful. Maybe our room of choice next time. Enjoyed spending time on the balcony in the evening and morning very relaxing. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to get away and unwind and get away from the normal hotel stay.

We won the staycation in the Cuban room and we were blown away by the size of the room, the comforts inside and the great staff! hot tub was the nicest I've ever sat in and the bed was so comfy! pool table was a cool touch. Sauna with LED lights was a neat touch. the shower was broken and inoperable but they gave us free late checkout as compensation (usually $35 bucks) and that was much appreciated. only complaint? need some guards on the corners of the beds! my toes… smashed them more then once lol. highly recommend this room, especially if you are a smoker. The semi private balcony was a great part of this room. 5 stars and will definitely be back.

We stayed two nights in the African theme suite and we were in for a treat. The layout of the suite was perfect. The decor was elegant and classy. The personnel at the Mariaggi’s went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing getaway. The ambiance of the Mariaggi’s is extremely relaxing. Highly recommended To all!

From the moment we walked into the hotel the staff went above and beyond to make our experience one we will never forget. The staff was friendly, attentive, detailed and it made it very hard to leave when our stay was over. The rooms were incredible with tons of amenities, and the balconies provided us with time to meet other guests in the hotel (only if you wanted to). I can not recommend this hotel more. Been before had an amazing time. So decided to go again to go relax and an not worry about nothing. Staff r great and friendly. Explain everything u need to know about any room available. Food is to die for. Can be out some ppls budget but u have to take time with ur love on. I recommend this hotel to all who live here or visit. Check it out. ✨

Won the japan room and it was amazing. So comforting and really makes you feel like your on vacation and away from home. Love the hot tub and the sauna. The bed was super comfy and the staff are so friendly and makes your feel so welcomed! It's the best for couples to get away. I will definatly be coming back ❤ I recommend anyone to come and see the rooms for yourself. The staff has no problem showing you all the rooms your interested in! Also love how they bring you to the room and show you how to use everything! The patio was also super relaxing. Thank you Mariaggi's for such a great night!

Stayed here once in 2013 or 14 in the penthouse suite with the Mrs. It had it's own "private balcony" which would have been great if there wasn't another room connected to it. The giant windows and door that room had accessing the balcony really didn't make it feel private even if it had blinds covering the glass. Also the pile of cigarette butts we found in the bar sink was a pretty huge turn off. Finding something like that in a theme suit hotel room when you expect it to b…e clean. We notified the gentleman at the front counter who seemed very unappologetic. Finally we ordered some romance package where they were suppose to put candles in the room. I asked them to have the candles in there after we arrived back from our dinner out. Upon arriving to the room the candles were there, unlit. Good thing I use to smoke and had a lighter on hand. We always think about giving it another shot but at the price it costs for a room compared to the level of service we got, we cannot justify it.

We loved our stay. From the second we got there until the second we left we felt pampered. The jacuzzi button in our original suite wasn't working so we were upgraded at no extra cost. Did we ever feel appreciated as customers. I'd recommend this place to anyone! Thank you for the getaway Mariaggi's!

Friendly service and fantastic amenities. We stayed in the Egypt theme suite and it was amazing, all the usually hotel features plus a hot tub, steam shower, infrared sauna, large screen smart TV and pool table. The room was beautifuly decorated and made our night feel more like a destination vacation.

Felt like royalty during my visit. Stayed in the Africa suite for 2 nights and it was beautiful. In-room dining was spectacular and the service overall was kind, attentive, professional. Will be coming back again. Highly recommended.

It's a wonderful place to go and feel you are in another country. The thematic rooms are amazing. We had the Carabean and if we were to go again, I think I would still choose this one. Everything was great. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars are that the TV is hard to set and the satellite was not working well. We had the supper included and the food was so so but the main concern for me is for anyone in a wheel chair who would like to experience this, can't. There is long stairs and no elevators.

My first time here. We stayed in the Jakarta suite (the penthouse). Other than a few maintenance things in the bathroom and a lightbulb out everything was wonderful. Shelly and Dano were very friendly and helpful. The steam shower and waterfall Jacuzzi were so relaxing. Our anniversary meal was fabulous and there are so many things to do within walking distance. I had a great time. I look forward to returning again soon.

Le service et vraiment bon. Les employés prenne le temps de découvrir vos désirs pour une bonne expérience. Nous avons eu un repas provisionné par l'hôtel et c'était très bon. La chambres a besoin un peux de maintenance a de place. Mais tout en tout une bonne expérience. Nous avons aimer le steam shower et le jacuzzi avec waterfall. Avec des jeux comme pool et pinball dans la chambre tu peux juste passer ton temps dans la chambre.

Let's start with booking the room. We phoned to enquire about booking the Egypt room. We requested the night of our wedding. We said that we would be coming to the hotel late after the wedding. We found out that we could come pick up the key earlier the day of the wedding. After completing all the details like you would with any hotel ie: providing visa/MasterCard number the man states "After the completion of this call you will be billed for the room, is that ok" I tell him …no it's not then he says "ok I'll just do half, no refunds". I figure that we will go with this because we want a good experience after our wedding. Ask yourself before booking "have I ever had to pay for a hotel room up front" first red flag! The day of the wedding comes and I get the key early and have to pay the remainder of the bill $600.00 for one nights stay! After the wedding ends we end up back at the hotel at 1am. Music is blasting in other rooms like it's a party. We try to figure out how to work the hot tub (Which had hair and little red bugs floating in it) and I finally had to go ask one of the workers who made me feel like an idiot when showing me how to work the tub. We played a game of pool while waiting for the tub to fill. After awhile we decided to go to bed. The sheets were dark blue, sure didn't scream cleanliness! I've never been in a hotel with anything but white sheets! Ask yourself have you ever been in a hotel room with anything but white sheets?

My boyfriend surprised me with the best weekend for our 5 year anniversary. We had a beautiful weekend. It felt like a mini vacation away in the beautiful Caribbean room. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed an outdoor dinner on the balcony and a candle lit Jacuzzi and a luxurious steam shower. I need to come up with more special occasions so we can try every room. Thank you Shelly and Lowel — this place is amazing.

I've stayed there. I was married there. I even did some work there. Then, I stayed there again! The absolute best place to forget your in Winnipeg. So comfy, so relaxing, so fun, so happy. A must try place if you've never been! Great staff! Makes the whole experience even better. I hope me and the wife will return soon! Keep up the good work Lowell! Just love it.

I'm currently staying in India with my good friend whom I've not seen in some years. I must say the experience in definitely one of a kind. The room is amazing, all of the staff are super friendly, Shelly is my favorite person in life! She especially, has made our stay very accommodating and so comfortable. I definitely want to come back! I can't wait in fact!

My fiance and I stayed at Mariaggi's after receiving a coupon in a wedding Social prize basket, and we had the most wonderful time! I was actually sad to leave the next morning. We stayed in the Japan room, and the care to the details the owner and staff obviously put into the decorating is incredible. Such a gorgeous room! The two person jetted hot tub/bath was so fun! They supply the bubble bath, a couple pumps of it, turn the jets on, and so many bubbles! Our room also had a microwave, two person dining table, and mini fridge, complete with extra tealights! The atmosphere of the room and hotel is so relaxed and cozy. The hotel owner, Lowell, is one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting in a long while. He was patient and answered each and every question we had. He explained the features of the room with us and actually gave us a rundown on the history of the hotel. I would also not hesitate to recommend the dinner that they offer. So yummy and the portion size was incredible. We ordered the dinner when we checked in, and Lowell delivered it to our room on a wheeled cart. We were so impressed and will definitely be back! :)

Simply the best place we have stayed. Beautiful rooms, all in the theme of that room. Staff was excellent, I would recommend you try the Italian dinner they will serve in your room, it was as good as most Italian restaurants. Relaxing, comfortable stay in downtown Winnipeg.

Terrible reservation process. Booked a room online and called to confirm. Was under the impression that the room was mine, drove many hours, but was turned away at the door. Terrible experience, would not recommend.

The Mr. Electric team had our Christmas Party in the top suite of Mariaggi's hotel this past Friday and we couldn't have been more pleased. The room was clean and the food provided was wonderful. There was always someone around to give us a hand or answer any questions. We would definitely recommend their hotel.

Stayed here two years ago. The room was nice however no one was at the desk overnight when I wanted to purchase a bottle of wine. Furthermore someone broke into the shop downstairs while I was staying at the hotel and I had to spend way to much time out my night being woken up by an alarm and being asked by police if I had seen anything.

Great place! beautiful rooms, so clean. The food is fantastic and the people running it are super sweet thanks for the great stay we loved it and will return no doubt.

My stay in Winnipeg was made into a five star experience by the staff of Mariaggi's. The rooms are unreal and definitely not the norm for an upscale hotel. Their rooms are decked out with hot tubs, extra large steam showers, mood lighting, candles, surround sound, large comfy beds, and a beautiful gas fireplace to set the mood. The decor takes you out of the cold winter days and nights and makes you feel like you are on an exotic getaway. The ideal place to spend a romantic getaway and its right here in Winnipeg. The staff is unbelievable and very helpful. They go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. They know the city well and every recommendation for something to do or somewhere to eat was bang on (other than the wings. Ughh. Lol). Lowell the owner tries very hard to make your stay enjoyable. I asked if I could just see what the penthouse looked like and he did one better by inviting us up to the penthouse for an evening party that made the trip even more enjoyable. The penthouse was spectacular and the evening with lowell and his guests was so much fun. Everything was first class. Only problem I found was the parking situation. But when I stressed how difficult it was to find parking. And having to get up to put money into the meter so early Lowell made parking arrangements for me. Overall one of the best places I have stayed at. Definitely the most romantic hotel in Canada. Quite unique.

Words can not express how good the staff and owners jason and lowell have been to me I stay at the mariaggi pretty well almost every week I have been in almost every themed suite room and I cant say which is my favorite al lthe rooms are so relaxing and all have a different atmosphere and mood. I feel very comfortable and relaxed when I am there and this is why I will continue to be a repeat customer of Mariagi. Who wouldnt want to relax in a steam sauna soak in a hot tub and be pampered and made to feel like a queen for the night.

We went to Morocco for my birthday. I have to say it was the best suite I have ever been in or seen. The hotel service was amazing. The hotel entrance way is a door in the middle of the block and my boyfriend did it as a surprise. I had no idea where he was taking me until we walked in the suite. It was very romantic. Hotel staff had lit candles all over the room and Matthew brought flowers and our luggage a day before and everything was set up perfectly. The suite was stunning. Moroccan art and various statues and tapestries were throughout. The waterfall hot tub was really great. It was a large tub with multiple jets but it filled like a waterfall! It was really fun when we were in the waterfall because we could turn a switch and divert water through the jets and have it cascade into the tub too. There was a big steam room with speakers inside the steam room. A great stereo system with Ipod hookup. The 50" flat panel TV with DVD turns so that we were able to watch our movies from the hot tub. Dinner was delicious. We had the Greek Salad, a pasta in Alfredo sauce and the Italian Chicken Scallopini. Dinner was served hot to our room and the person who served it was so nice. The next morning we woke up and had the couples massage. It was heavenly! After another steam and shower we went downstairs to the Free Press Cafe and had a very nice breakfast. We left the hotel around 1PM and were so completely relaxed.

Mariaggi's is a wonderful getaway place in downtown Winnipeg. My husband and I have been many times and it just keeps getting better. The hotel seems to be constantly upgrading the facilities. It is a smaller family run hotel with excellent guests service. Spa services are limited to very relaxing couples massage which are done in the comfort of the hotel suite. The staff as others have expressed are genuinely helpful and make the night stay that much more enjoyable. Hot tubs and combination shower-steam rooms are in every suite. As well, there are large modern 50" flat screen TV's and stereo system's with cd/dvd and Ipod hookups. The suites have electric fireplaces and lighting is on dimmers. For a small fee we always get the romantic package (candles, bubblebath and movie rental). We have also tried the waterfall hot tub suites complete with pool table. These suites are $100 more than the regular priced suite and well worth the additional cost. We have yet to enjoy the new China room but one day we will get to it. This suite is interesting because it has a tornado shower/steam room and an infra red sauna. Aside from the amazing amenities the atmosphere is exceptional. Each suite is really luxurious. We really feel like we are on a mini vacation whenever we stay. We have children and often this is our couples "staycation". The attention to detail is evident. Authentic artwork, statutes, flooring and tile work. The bedding and towels are plush.

My fiance and I spent our 3rd anniversary there in February. The receptionist was very friendly. We didn't need to request anything as they had brought it already. Dinner was delicious, aside from the ribs being not to our liking, but everything else was awesome. Room was very nice and relaxing (Hawaiian Room). I will definitely go there again and would recommend. Although it is a little pricey, it was worth it.

My wife and I just got back from spending the weekend in the Japanese Suite for our first wedding anniversary. All I can say is that it was amazing! The staff went out of their way to help in any way that they could, the food was spectacular, the room was gorgeous, and I fully recommend it to anyone.
