Definitely the worst Delta hotel experience I have ever had. Stayed on August 25th for 1 night for an overnight work trip. Upon checking into the room I noted a bloody handprint on the glass, and curtain (photo attached) I proceeded to the front desk to report my findings and their response was that sometimes these things happen. They offered to waive parking charges (which were already free due to a hotel promotion? ) and changed the room. The room I was moved to was a joining room with doors that wouldn’t secure properly. I asked to speak to the manager on site who offered no real solution to the problem and wouldn’t even attend the room. She instead requested that I email photos to her so that she could let housekeeping know the curtains need to be cleaned? I thought taking photos of room damage would be a hotel employee job instead of asking your guests to do it? I have emailed their customer service/complaint team with no real response. I am unsure how this hotel maintains a 4 star rating with this level of service. I think I’ve had better service at a 2 star hotel in the past. On a plus note the pools were great and well maintained, the coffee shop and breakfast was a nice feature and the lobby is very bright and spacious. Unfortunately all of these only add to the experience if they can get the basics of customer service down. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Me and my wife went for our trip in west coast for our Honeymoon to follow the Montreal Canadiens. They took care of us like amazing staff rooms and everything was just perfect. We apreciated. If tou have a chance to stay at the Delta take it down town is close, everything is couple a minute walk away.

I love this hotel. From the incredible staff, spacious pool area, to the ability to checkout downtown in the skywalks without ever going outside.

Parking was advertised as free but you need to pay for on sight parking ($18) other than that hotel was great. The outdoor pool was nice. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Lost a star only due to construction noise from a renovation on floor directly above which began early on a Sunday morning. Why? Most hotels would warn guests as a courtesy. However the Delta is a beautiful hotel in a good location in downtown Winnepeg. Indoor and outdoor pool amazing. Large, private balconies with good city skyline views.

Stayed here for a business trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed in an accessible room, which was very well designed. The room was clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the updated desk with easy to reach outlets (including USB ports). There is very little sound insulation between rooms so I could hear my neighbours.

Exactly what u would expect from a Delta. Nice location in the core of the city. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Personally I loved the shower which was nice and hot. The gift shop was closed when I was looking for snacks and the hotel staff opened it just for me. Outstanding.

We stayed here during our trip to Winnipeg Folk Fest this year. The staff at this hotel were notably exceptional. The concierge, Marc, greeted us. He found out what we were in town for, made suggestions for places to eat, offered us a collapsible wagon too take with us to the festival (that we were so happy that we had once we got there) and just generally charmed us with his stories. We had been tired and slightly irritable after our long trip, but Marc was so attentive and thoughtful that by the time we up in our room, we felt relaxed and thankful for having chosen this hotel. Would also like to give a mention to another staff member I thought went above and beyond during our stay: thank you to Star. When we arrived, we asked about getting a room with a balcony. Star made that happen, even though it didn't appear to be a straightforward switch. Overall, the hotel is a very comfortable place to stay in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. The staff made the place stand out. Will stay here again!

Friends daughter's wedding, very well orginized the meal was great, they even validated my parking card that was nice of them. All round great experience. And the staff were very friendly the event supervisor he was very professional and helpful (Brett Sinclair).

Drinks at Elephant and Castle in the lobby is usually a good time. English style pub, service is friendly and quick, and good selection of beer on tap. Food is great as well, traditional pub fare like bangers and mash and fish and chips. Done really well, portion sizes are bigger than expected, you get your money's worth here.

Stayed at the Delta Hotel the other night traveling work. I was very happy that I did because their customer service was top notch. I will definitely stay here every time in in town. Very happy overall and I definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed there last night, room was huge, clean, split level, two TVs, spacious washroom (very modern), lots of storage for clothes etc. The king bed I had was comfortable and more importantly so were the pillows. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Star, he checked us in, set me up with registering as a Marriott member, he had lots of energy, very pleasant and knowledgeable, great guy, thanks Star! He should get a promotion, every hotel would be lucky to have an employee like Star as the first face a guest is greeted with. I usually stay at the Fairmont when in town for business, I’m making the switch to The Delta Winnipeg.

Nice rooms. Enjoyable staff. Center of the city. But the parking garage was specifically designed for the Honda Prius. Nearly impossible to navigate with anything else. It'll put "character" on the roof of your pickup.

Great service & clean rooms. The heated floors in the bathrooms are one of my favourite features. The gym also has adequate machines & weights for those like to work out. My Go To hotel whenever I'm in town.

Place was clean, and conveniently located. Check in was excellent, but customer service disappeared after that. Bartender at the hotel restaurant was excellent; almost old timey in his banter. Did not try the food (the menu didn't impress, or even offer an option that I might try).

Super solid experience here this time. Good food on the club floor, just wish evening food service started a bit sooner. 4:30 would be nicer than 5. Otherwise wonderful and has a great pub to eat at in the day and night. If you plan to park in the underground parking, be aware that it is one daily fee while staying at the hotel and you can get passes at the front desk for leaving and returning with no additional charges at any time. The fitness center and pool are excellent here, with free headphones and fruit for those who are using the workout room. It's the little things like this that make a stay in a hotel go from just alright, to out of this world fantastic!

They've done a lot to spruce this hotel up. Redesigned rooms, renovations, and a cleaned up lobby. The restaurant is great, and serves breakfast all day. Good little snack/coffee shop and the rooms are clean and quiet.

I find the Delta to be very welcoming and rather professional in the provision of their many services that they provide for their clientele. Not to mention that you have a wide variety and selection of styles of rooms that they provide, that they provide ranging from the average family travel to the everyday business man/woman. That being said, I hope you'll enjoy your stay with the Delta by Marriott Winnipeg.

Stayed in a King suite with my partner. Check in girl Kira, was friendly and helpful even suggested places for dinner. Parking was in addition to your nightly rate for $18. Room was clean and adequate, we had the north facing side which I think is the best as far as a view, being downtown views felt limited. Lots of family in the pool area, they do have an adult hour which is nice. Could use some slides for the kids, temperatures of pool and hot tub were slightly lower the 28°d And 39° posted. The gym facility was clean and had courtesy headphones and cold towels plus sufficient equipment. Our bathroom fan in room 1439 was not working but it was a nice stay.

Great freshly renovated property. Clean modern rooms with lots of outlets and usb plug ins. Heated floors in the bathrooms and fantastic staff. Great place to stay downtown!

We requested early check in and the Delta was very accommodating! Our bed was comfy and the room was very clean. I had an excellent experience with great guest service overall and was very happy with our stay!

Over my 14 years or so of visiting Winnipeg, I’ve always seen movies at this theatre. The staff has always been polite and helpful. The theatres are clean. The sound system is very clear. The seats very comfortable. I would highly recommend putting the money out to experience the 3-D IMAX theatres.

Very clean facility. Friendly and helpful staff. It's what one would expect from this hotel. English style pub and separate restaurant connected to the Delta. It's also connected to the skywalk corridors so no need to go outside on cold winter days. Small convenience store on main floor that serves Starbucks coffee. Good place.

Great service at the hotel. Only down side is that the heater in the room was loud. Had dinner at the lounge and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My server, Allan, was great!

I have had several reasonable experiences at the Delta Winnipeg, however, my bridesmaids booked two adjoining rooms for my bachelorette party in December 2017 and had a very poor experience. The main reason we booked the Delta is because I have a pain condition and we wanted to make use of the whirlpool. When we arrived, it was taped off and closed for repair. When we advised the staff of this being the reason we booked the hotel, we were only compensated by having the room upgrade cost covered (which in the grand scheme of things was just our parking cost covered). The room was next to the pool (so that we could easily access the whirlpool) and instead, we were woken up at 8:00 am with kids screaming in the pool. The parking lot did not have any accessible spots left, and there were barely any in the first place. Two of the guests, including me (the bride) have disabilities and walking is difficult. I think it would be wise to notify guests if a main amenity is under repair, especially guests in poolside rooms! And guests should be compensated fairly if that amenity was the reason they went in the first place. I will hesitate to book in the future.

Stayed here for new years eve and walked over to convention center. Love that it is all connected so that we didn't have to go outside in the cold. We stayed on the 7th floor overlooking the summer pool area. Despite the crazy parties down town, the hotel was very quiet and had comfortable bedding. Would stay here again. Little expensive but convenience overshot the expense.

The best place to stay in downtown Winnipeg. When you are in what is possibly the worst major city in Canada this hotel will provide a nice escape from the cold. Nice gym and pool, decent food options. If you ever want to leave the hotel (which you won't) you are close to the 'major sites'

Good location and clean and tasteful room.

The temperature was not consistent. Hot then cold even when setting a firm temperature. The device was constantly going so hearing the fan the entire time made it hard to sleep through the noise. Parking cost me $29 for less than 24 hours and advertised price was $18 or $24 if you wanted valet. It may be we had to do something different than paying at the pay station but no instructions provided anywhere. Doors to the convention Center were locked after our event but we were not given a time that was to happen others leaving at the time said 1:30 but it was only about 1 am.

Friendly staff. Very Nice rooms. Nice modern decor, except the heater is very loud. Not used to that kind of noise! The satellite feed was unstable and the TV didn't deliver the channels properly. The cleaning crew left my coffee cups from the previous day which I found odd when I entered my room next evening. The hotel restaurant has a fireplace which is nice. Its very good for breakfast service. 8/10. We also went for dinner. Service was very good, but chef doesn't have much to work with. Food was 5/10 at best. Desert was terrible. So we ordered another one. And it too was inedible. We didn't say anything cause the guy waiting on us was trying his best and was the real deal in terms of trying to deliver top service. This Delta is conveniently located to convention center. I just don't think Delta Winnipeg priorities are on food or beverage.

This is really a well appointed hotel that is within walking distance of major downtown attractions such as BellMTS Center and The Winnipeg Convention Centre. Rooms were impeccably clean and modern with the heated time floor in the bathroom being a real nice touch. It should also be noted that the staff was courteous and displayed a level service that was a cut above what I have experienced at other hotel chains. Well done Delta Winnipeg!

Was very pleased with my stay. Staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean when we checked in and kept clean during the stay. Cleaning staff were respectful of our personal belongings. Would stay again.

Really good experience at the hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and they had heated floors which was amazing. It was downtown so perfect distance to visit the forks and other parts of downtown by walking.

Stayed here with my wife a while ago, front desk accused me of smoking in the room because I had placed a wash cloth over the smoke detector to dim the light on it during the night, and balcony had cigarette butts from last person who had stayed in room. I am not even a smoker and neither is my wife, only refunded cleaning fee after I made a well deserved scene at check out. Terrible customer service.

Stayed at this Delta on multiple occassions, staff will go out of the way to assist. Rooms are clean, never any concerns. Indoor pool always looks sparkling clean. Starbucks is located inside the hotel, and it's close to downtown, restaurants, shopping mall and convention centre. I'm hoping for a hot tub upgrade in the near future at this Delta. Thanks for the cozy stay!

The breakfast served was excellent. Better than I'd expect at an event /venue like this. Event was well organized and ran smoothly.

My family and I stayed here for the first time this past weekend and we will definitely be back again soon.
The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, we were upgraded for no cost and without even requesting it. The room was very nice and included a balcony with a great view of the city. Loved it!

Very nice hotel! Rooms are very nice, beds very comfortable, staff are awesome. Good location downtown, close to RBC Convention Centre and Rexall Place. Only downside is the prices for the hotel restaurant. $12 for a smoothie, $6 for a muffin. Didn't try the food, felt I could get a better meal for a better price walking down the street. This is not a comment on quality, only price.

This wasn't our first stay at this Delta location, and it certainly won't be our last! A very clean and well-maintained hotel with modern decor and professional, friendly staff! Front desk staff bend over backwards for you, offering upgraded room and extra towels and robes to be delivered to your room. Walking about the hotel, all staff members are welcoming, extending pleasant greetings as you pass by. The beds are super cozy and the rooms are laid out for practicality, complete with a very handy luggage drop zone next to the closet. The gym and pool area are quite large and very nicely laid out as well! A beautiful lobby area with a Café serving quality Starbucks coffee and espresso, sandwiches and baked goods. There is literally not much more they could do to ensure you have a positive experience and comfortable visit. We always enjoy our stay at the Delta, and plan on visiting again and again!

Friendly staff who go out of their way for you. Stayed on the concierge floor which gave us a morning breakfast. Worth it for three people. Heated bathroom floor was a pleasant surprise. Other than that, basic but clean rooms. I was here for pleasure but would have been extremely comfortable here for business as well. Centrally located with easy access to all parts of the city. As a side note, the curbs and roads are in terrible disrepair, I guess football stadiums and hockey arenas are the only place that city council is allowed to spend money on.

Renovations to this hotel are very present. The hotel presents itself as a very modern place to go; Nicely decorated lobby. Was here for a business type meeting, used one of the meeting rooms on the second floor. Spacious and clean environment.

Room was a good size with comfortable king-size bed. Gym was very good. Restaurant is great. Close to a mall. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Stayed there the night of the Guns n Roses concert and again the night after the Phantom of the opera. The staff were awesome and friendly. The beds and room were comfortable and clean. I fully recommend the valet parking. We would have stayed another night had there been time. Such a great experience! Thanks very much.

The location of the hotel is just inside downtown and has some stuff around it. The hockey arena is really close to the hotel so it might be busy depending on the year. The complimentary breakfast area was nice and the staff helped out a lot. The room was clean and the overall experience was good.

The staff are extremely helpful and kind! I was a longer term guest, and housekeeping left me a nice note advising there was free laundry, and guest services checked every once awhile to make sure my stay was comfortable. Little touches like that made choosing Delta over the Fairmont worth it.

Very kindly found my husband q tips. Rooms beautiful. Rooms by pool loud with music in mornings. Staff good at enforcing getting screaming kids out at 2200, adults quieter till 2300

I was attending for a lunch event and the Delta staff provided excellent service. They managed to accommodate some tricky dietary restrictions with professionalism and care. The location is great and the building was very well maintained. Thanks Delta!

Wonderful hotel. Very clean rooms, that are updated, and very nice. The nicest cleaning staff I have ever encountered in hospitality. Amenities are very nice. Very close to shops, restaurants, etc. The Elephant restaurant that is connected to the hotel has very good food, and fine beers. Wonderful stay. Will book again!

I would rate this hotel zero stars if possible, but was forced to go one star as it's the lowest. The hotel accommodations are average at best and include a balcony which provides a view of almost constantly overcast Winnipeg. However it was the hotel service that warrantes the poor rating. I only interacted with humans at the front desk but I'm positive there are monkeys working in the back due to the following:
— Had $400 security deposit charged daily on credit card
— Didn't get room cleaned for the first two days
— On third day placed the "Do not Disturb" sign on door and didn't get room cleaned but instead got belongings rummaged through
— The morning of check-out we discovered our truck window was smashed and petty change was stolen. As the truck was parked in the underground lot of the hotel we assumed they would take liability but instead they immediately denied all fault and claimed it was imPark who should be responsible as the Delta only leases space from impark. Additionally they took an hour to get us a broom to clean it up and another half hour to get us a vacuum as cleaning rooms was a priority for them.
In summary I would recommend lying facedown in a Winnipeg gutter with nothing but a sheet of cardboard rather than staying here. Only would return if I wanted to show my children what Guantanamo Bay is like.

I've stayed at the Delta twice — once with my husband and most recently for a girls' weekend. I love the Delta! The staff are amazing and accommodating! The hotel rooms are clean and offer comfort (beds are very comfortable)! I like how spacious the rooms are, you have a little more walking room than average hotels. The outdoor pool is amazing, but I think the hours should be extended past dusk. The hotel offer's a balcony, it would be more comfortable if there was a chair, but it's nice to get that fresh air in the room. The hotel restaurant is delicious, but it is on the pricey side and I feel it doesn't offer a lot of menu options for breakfast. I would love to see some more options. All in all, I really enjoy staying at the Delta and will definitely stay again!

Rooms are large and clean. The room was mixed up with another room during check in but was later resolved. The service also provided a microwave and fridge even though our room didn't have any.

I did not stay at the Delta. I work in an adjoining bldg. But I go into the Delta every day and have my lunch breaks and sit in their public sitting area. The staff there are extremely friendly and I've gotten to know a few of them. They're very accommodating and make everyone feel welcome. If I had the need to stay at a hotel though, the Delta would be my first choice.

Went to the Delta for a seminar on the 2nd floor and was pleased that the hotel lobby and conference rooms were clean and we'll maintained, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Clean, newly renovated hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Power outlets right at the bed so you can charge your phone. Multiple connections for Internet, HDMI, audio, etc all at the desk.

The room was nice and clean. Staff were friendly and very hospitable. I ADORE this hotel. My stay was completely comfortable and great Wi-Fi connection too.

Delta winnipeg is hands down one of the best hotels I've stayed at. From the valet, Bell person, front desk room service and fantastic cuisine. Most of my interactions were with the switchboard, she called me by my name, anticipated my needs as I was there for business. In one phone call, I arranged my wake up calls, all meal reservations, and travel. She even had the valet input the directions to my meeting into the GPS in my rental car both days I was there! Clearly that far exceeded what I've come to expect from a hotel. I now exclusively stay at the Delta Winnipeg and developed a somewhat personal relationship with the staff there as they always recognize me and address me by name.

Decent hotel but there are better choices for the same price downtown.

We stayed at the Delta on July/August of 2015. Great location, lovely comfortable rooms and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Already planning a return trip to Winnipeg in 2016 and will definitely be staying at the Delta.

I moved to the Holiday Towers, (attached to Delta) specifically for use of the indoor pool, due to my disabilities and need to exercise. I have paid for 11 months without use of the pool, and 9 with. When it closed again after being open for only 3 months I contact the Director of operations, Ian Taylor and explained my situation in detail asking ONLY that I get regular day time access, (rather than from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm) to this pool for about 3 months, when and if it opens again, in order to try to regain some of the mobility I have lost due to closure, and was declined. SO much for cooperation, consideration and customer service.

Nice enough place in a very central location.

Premium price but rooms not premium. Gym has tons of steppers, treadmills, cycles, and a variety of dumb-bells, dedicated machines, universals. Unlike a real gym, there are no free weights (other than dumb-bells) nor duplicates of the universals and dedicated machines so if you hit it at a busy time you will wait. But the universals and dedicated machines are all old. Padding on leg extension machine is so worn out as to make the metal painful. Fly machine has idiotic design where it is more difficult to get into position and exit than to do your reps (only an issue if you push yourself with high weight). Rooms have modern ipod-docking clock/radios, fancy desk, and some artsy lamps/paintings, but these items look ridiculous in the room that otherwise has worn out furnishings. The glass shower-doors are fine, but rooms with shower curtains cause a flood. Bathrooms terrible compared to the nearby Holiday Inn. Poor air circulation, terrible drainage in tubs and sinks, ok water pressure, towels not fluffy. No fridge or microwave in rooms. Ridiculous that they charge a premium price when they have cut all the corners. Poor sound insulation. You hear everything going on on your floor, and the clubs and construction going on in the neighborhood. I had to work some third shifts. When I stayed on a "Club" floor they came around every day to offer me water and a chocolate.

Service was excellent and the rooms were nice (just what you would expect from a chain as well known as Delta). Also has a nice location, especially because of the skywalk network it is connected to.

Have stayed at this hotel before and loved it. I cannot say the same about this time. I asked for bedding without feathers as usual and they did not remember to switch them so I ended up taking allergy medicine the first night. Asked if I could upgrade rooms and they said it would be no problem and that I would pay 40 dollars once. This is on top of my 178 per night rate through Expedia (cheapier if you just book through the hotel with CAA rate btw). Second night I went to rent a movie and was told I'd have to come leave an additional 50 dollar deposit to watch a 4.99 movie and my original 150 deposit was used up by the room fees?! This is when I was told it was now an extra 120 for my room upgrades (same lady who was supposed to have my bedding changed) after talking with manager she is making me downgrade rooms and refunding my deposit. This was supposed to be a fun weekend to relax and I feel like my apartment would have been a classier place to hang out (normally a 4 star hotel is very nice) they made me feel cheap after spending 675 for three nights with Expedia. O and my favorite part of the hotel before was the hot tub and it wasn't even hot this time (was told they are ordering a part to fix it) lol what a weekend : (.

Stayed Sunday night thru Friday for work last week in September got a great rate at $121 a night — 4 star Hotel — however with 1 star rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor overlooking the workout area and pool / spa. You will hear treadmills running as early as 530am as well as the 3 televisions in that area. This lasts all day long until 10 or 11pm. Also a terrible smell of Chlorine. So Beware — Do NOT stay on the 3rd or 4th floor overlooking the Pool and work out area. Other than that an excellent Hotel on the upper floors.
