Went for breakfast Febuary 12th 2019. The breakfast was good. But the server was Just plain mean. Had bad table side demeanor and when she thought no one was listening had nothing nice to say about anyone or anything. We had no heart to leave her a tip after that. We came back for dinner. The bartender was an amazing Charismatic man. But the steak sandwich was expensive and a smaller portion then what they would serve at the keg for rhe same price.

Had the breakfast special which is just the right amount… family friendly, and staff are efficient and courteous … great place for an inexpensive but delicious breakfast…

Good value for the price, very friendly staff, check in girl was very helpful. My room was clean and had everything I needed including a small balcony. Coffee pot, and fridge, cable TV and internet. I stayed in the hotel part that is separate from the main building, as I wanted something quiet, and other than the occasional door closing I had a good night. Apparently There are certain days/times when it isn’t so quiet, and there’s a band playing in the bar area. But overall my experience was good and I really cannot complain about anything. Good value, clean, safe, friendly staff, breakfast included, lots of parking, beer vendor right there. Not bad at all.

What a management/reception! I asked for an extra pillow (one was flat) and a blanket, the front desk said he must ask his manager! He kept me waiting, I called after half an hour, he said manager was busy, he'll wait until he comes back. I called in the third time, he said the manager said I got enough pillows. This started 12:30 a. M. They kept me waiting until 1:20 a. M. And were still reluctant to provide something as basic as a blanket and a pillow! Never seen anything like this. They finally provided a blanket. But they refused to bring pillow. I showed them flat pillow, he said they don't have any more pillows. Then he said let me double check. Came later with a better pillow. : /

Definitely would not recommend this place on a Friday or Saturday night for anyone travelling. I booked it because it was cheap. They gave me the room above the bar. After driving 9 hours to get to here, my room was bombarded, shaking and thumping with classic rock. I went down to the desk to ask for ear plugs, she didn't have any. I went to four stores in the area. No one had ear plugs. I came back and the manager was rude, disrespectful and offered zero empathy. I left and stayed at the Hilton. The manager was nice enough not to charge me. The irony is that I signed a noise waiver stating of I create excessive noise they can remove me. Room was clean. AC was terrible. Staff was friendly except for the manager. In the future, warn your guests and offer ear plugs.

Prompt and witty service from Larry — an institution at the Assiniboine Gordon. Reasonably priced, delicious breakfast! I stop by several times a year!

The place lost m'y reservation and of course, all of the other rooms were booked. Had to find another place at my own expense until they figure out what happened.

Comfy beds, decent breakfast. AC in room was average… Couldn't find a TV guide. Location is good.

Every time we have played this club the staff and management have been beyond amazing. Watching the way the deal with patrons is fantastic, they're "real people" and approach everyone the same way. The DJ is approachable and knows his stuff, the security guys are great, I've yet to see them treat anyone with anything but respect (which is rare for bouncers these days) and the bartenders are great. Great atmosphere, great bands, great times. You should come check it Out!

The vibe was awesome. We went in on a night where they had Kareoke! The crowd was fun, the DJ was very nice! The bartender on the other hand… Not so pleasant. He makes watered down drinks, is very rude, and acts like he hates everybody in the room. If someone hates their job that much, please quit! You are making the experience so awful. Other than the crabby ass, awful bartender I loved this place!

Location is great but service from the night staff is really bad.

Went last night. Fantastic Band! Decent place. Bar tenders and staff were very nice. The only complaint I have is the price of your drinks! They were wayyyy too pricey, especially for a hotel bar! If they were priced better during band nights, I'd probably attend there more with my friends.

Loud, they had a live band playing. Clean facilities. Comfy bed.

The service is great. The staff is great. Everything is within walking distance. And they give you a full breakfast in the morning.

Nice place great sound system and good people working there. Washrooms need upgrading and if you want coffee in the pub at night forget it. All places serving alcohol should have coffee available.

Clean and convenient. Has the amenities that we need. Food is good and the staff courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

Superb welcome from Levita and Rosy. Impeccable room with dryer and fridge but no microwave, seven hangers and coffee making. Two good clean and comfortable beds. Clean carpet which is rare these days.
Safe Hotel with doors that we have to open with our room keys. Excellent rate of $88.00 for a total of $104.06 with taxes. Breakfast included with service at the tables in the restaurant. The price of this lunch is $9.50 with taxes for people who do not sleep in the hotel. I had scrambled eggs with browns potatoes, two sausages with coffee at will. I was served very quickly. This breakfast should be taken before 9am though. The check-out is before 12h (noon) which is very good and rare.
The Wi-Fi is excellent everywhere. We can take the bus in front of the hotel and land in front also for $2.70 per person If we want to go to the city centre what we have done elsewhere. We had a private balcony addicting to the rear parking at our request as the noise from the road traffic can be disturbing to the rooms before we would say. We have several pictures to share with you. We slept very well and highly recommend this hotel.

Good breakfast special. Don't order any extras as they soak u. A side order of 2 sausages was almost as much as the whole breakfast. Nice service.

Not impressed. Used to go at least 2 or 3 times a month on Thursdays to karaoke because Jeremy was hosting. Find out lastnight that after 5 years or so that they "want to try and draw in a different crowd" so Jeremy won't be there anymore. Needless to say I will no longer be going there. Here's a tip if you are trying to get more people in try having specials or better yet lower the prices of your drinks. Almost 7$ for a vodka and o. J is a bit stupid for a bar like that. You lost my business and everyone I would get to come out to karaoke with me too. Good job.

Absolutely love these guys! The entire staff is great, special shout out to James at the vendor and the bar managers for making it feel like a home away from home! $1.25 for a draft and $5 a pound of wings on Tuesday in the bar… how could anyone say no? The surrounding area is beautiful with two big parks across the street (view from room balcony)! One being Assiniboine park, and only a 5 min drive from the shopping mall. Keep up the great work you guys!

Tuesday's in the bar is a great deal for wings and beer. Food is usually good. Cash only. Service is very hit and miss. Some servers/staff have the attitude like they could care less for your business. Customer appreciation days are also good.

The worst ratings on here are absolutely accurate. While looking for a plug in you realize how dirty the room actually is. Looks like it hasn't been properly cleaned in years. The hotel does stink. I didn't feel particularly safe with the amount of drunk people in the area (due to the liquor store). There is seriously no shampoo or conditioner. Much to my dismay a used soap bar was left in the shower with you guessed it, hair still attached. Disgusting. Absolutely not worth the price, you couldn't pay me to stay here again (and I don't expect much).

Went to see Steel Beaver play 2 shows there on the last weekend of August. Heard some great 80's metal cover tunes. Good prices on beer during happy hour until 9:30 pm. Didn't mind paying more afterwards. The female bartender was very nice and dealt with the customers well. My friends had burgers and fries to eat and the portions were large. There could have been more urgency in clearing off the tables. At one point there were too many empties where I sat ha ha. Bathrooms were clean. I can't comment on the rooms as I did not stay there. Worst motel I have ever been to. Driving across the country & thought a quaint motel for a quick sleep would do fine. When we arrived drunk people were hanging around outside, as there is a beer store in same lot. Hallways & room smelt strongly of pee and must. Our room was directly on top of the bar which plays loud music until 2am, were denied a room change. Air conditioner is a window unit in the ceiling completely out of reach & loud as all hell. No fridge, no hair dryer, no shower supplies. Free breakfast advertised, were then told is only part of the portion of the hotel across the street. The outdated decor was one thing, but to any standard our stay was awful.

Friendly people. Our room was dirty, coffee pot was mouldy, bathroom tub, sink were full of hair and the floor was so dirty when I walked on the floor it made my feet go black… I went and complained to the manager and all she said was she will give us free coffee … which we already received for being a guest at the Assiniboine Gordon Inn on the Park. Not happy, don't think I'll even stay here if I come back to Winnipeg.

Clean, reasonably priced hotel. Everything such as the fridge, Wi-Fi and all the stuff that was promised in the price. Last night when I got there I was tired and out of sorts, and not proud to admit it but I was short with the gentleman who served me. He handled it very well and had a lot of patience dealing with me. I appreciate it. This morning when I checked out, I received great service as well. The only 2 complaints I had was having to drag luggage up to the second floor (an elevator would be nice). Also the swipe keys are a pain in the butt because it takes numerous tries to get it to work. Very frustrating when you really just want to go to bed and can't get into your room because key is not behaving. However, I would recommend this hotel to others and would come back. Sparky the server in restaurant was awesome, friendly and does her job well. Food was good.

So much fun. Good band. Reasonable price for alcohol, but I wish I could have used debit/credit at the bar.

Do not go here to sleep, the rooms are 30 degrees and cannot be be adjusted. Manager is rude.

Stayed in the older hotel building, not the motel, which wasn't shown on Expedia. Room was clean with new carpet, TV and bedding but building very old. Steam heat radiator in room, no way to control the heat. Window opened, but overlooked entrance with smokers. Broken toilet tank ran loudly and constantly; shutting the bathroom door fixed that. No plastic bags lined the trash cans, which was odd. Finding previous guests' trash in said cans was odder. We checked out because we couldn't take the heat situation, didn't stay overnight.

Good place, clean rooms, good food.

The front desk is rude over the phone and the the managers can't keep good employees.
