Awesome place. Great view of the Old Market Square. The service great as everyone was polite and helpful, the rooms were modern, roomy with high ceilings. Loved the large windows, cool sitting chair and the bathroom. Can't say that about too many hotels. Would stay there again.

I booked their Indigo conference room to conduct interviews for my business. They were very courteous, efficient and prompt in both the booking process as well as the day I was using the facility. Very modern decor. Clean, comfortable. Water and coffee service was included, which was a nice touch. Definitely would consider doing interviews there again.

Cool trendy hotel. A little noisy based on their geographical location. They don't have any restaurants in the hotel, so give yourself time for breakfast in the morning.

Very nice, modern hotel. Clean, comfortable, and in a great location downtown. The staff were fantastic, always looking to please. Not paying delivery charges for room service food was a nice touch, and made the decision for me to order. I'd definitely choose to stay again.

A very good hotel, rooms are big, bathroom is modern and spacious. Nice location in downtown as well. Two small points to improve: add toothpaste and toothbrush in bathrooms, improve reservation system so that the confirmation email is received sooner when booking by phone.

My group unfortunately had a bad experience at this hotel due to mistakes made by front desk staff. At about 3:30am, we were called on our room phone by front desk staff. 20 minutes later, at about 3:50am, there was a soft knock on the door. It was soft enough that I thought it may have been a knock on a nearby room's door. However, after the knock, a staff member opened our door. I asked what he was doing, but he just closed the door and left. At this point, everyone in my room was awake and we called the front desk. They explained that it looked like we were checked in wrong, and wanted to verify that the room was occupied due to some changeover process that happens on their end at around that time. This is obviously unacceptable, which we conveyed to the front desk staff working when the call and entry occurred, and again later in the morning to the staff working that morning upon checkout. This hotel gets 3 stars instead of 1 star because they took the steps to make this right. I still think it's important to share this experience with other guests.

Zen and design. Everything from the funky playful cozy reception areas to the simplicity yet stylish room, from the comfort of the bed to the quality of the decoration and the amenities is there. No need to search further.

What a great hotel. The rooms are clean, simple, and contemporary and the staff makes you feel at home right from step one. There are three restaurants and bast attached to the building so you don’t have to go far. I would highly recommend Alt Hotel if you’re in Winnipeg on business.

Chic and modern contemporary. Hotel staffs were friendly and accommodating. Rooms are always clean and beds are so comfortable. There's bar by the lobby available for cocktails as well. The hotel is very accessible.

The Alt Hotel chain is a great boutique hotel for short stays. The Winnipeg location had a small workout room with a couple of machines and some light dumbbells and the lobby has some grab and go snacks and coffee and a great restaurant attached. The rooms are a bit small, but for one person, or a couple that sleeps close, Alt is a good choice. I love the shower setup but if you are staying with someone you wouldn't want to see naked, this is not the place for you as you can see into the shower from the bed area, so theres really no privacy in the shower. Ideal for couples though… The hotel is modern, cool decor and always friendly service. I didn't realize the do not disturb sign is 2 sided and one side actually calls for room service, so I was surprised when a room attendant gently knocked and came into my room while I was just waking up in the morning, so be conscious of that and I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.

Not good for families or friends to stay together. No privacy. You can see right into the shower with the glass wall they have and a huge gap in the bathroom door that doesn't lock. Overpriced for what you get. No fridge or microwave in the room, they didn't tell us that we could request them. And didn't tell us that parking costs until we got our bill. Free at other hotels. Will not be returning.

Beautiful hotel, amazing rooms and city views. So close to the MTS centre and Burton Cummings Theatre. Beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean, it's pricey but you can't beat the location of it. Fantastic stay there and will continue to book at this hotel.

First time staying at the Alt. Was very clean and modern. Staff were super helpful and very friendly.

The concept of a simplified hotel experience worked well for us during our stay. The room was clean and modern, access to the parkade was convenient. The only ding is that parking isn't included with the room, however service was friendly and overall I would stay again.

Great rooms, great location. Hotel staff were very kind and informative about good places to eat. It's a very modern feel.

Decent value, good staff, free internet, they didn't warn me about the $18/day parking. No breakfast but there is a Tim Hortons beside the front door. Nice gym. Everyone warns you about the location and the transient population but it wasn't bad for me walking around. Only one pan handler. Not a bad location to walk around from.

Very chick modern hotel. Excellent and attentive staff. Unfortunately they got rid of their free breakfast, was always a nice added touch and reason for booking. Close to Bell MTS center for events. Has some small added touches for coffee and tea and lots of things for purchase in the lobby.

Beautiful centrally located hotel, the rooms were clean stylish and modern. The staff is always a joy and the customer service is amazing. The only downside for me is that they will no longer take cash deposits for the room. I definitely recommend staying here.

I've stayed at the Alt in many Canadian cities and the thing I appreciate is their consistency of experience across the board. They're no frills, but you get the things that make your life easy, like open Wi-fi access, a nice bed and a decent room overall. I also love the splash of colour throughout the hotels.

ALT Hotel is a beautiful space. The receptionists are very friendly and accommodating and recommended great restaurants to try. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean and we had a great view of the exchange district. I would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to other people.

My partner and I had a great stay here! Beautiful room with a spectacular view of Winnipeg. Centrally located and easy walking distance to most places. Will defiantly stay here again!

Fantastic Service. Room was impeccable. Everything you need is included in room. No mini bar though but totally okay. Gym is fantastic. Couldn't be happier.

My stay was great. Rooms with double queen beds are large with modern design. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room lacked a fridge and microwave. Would definitely stay at an ALT again.

The hotel is neat & clean, located in the heart of the city. Not sure if it is a good place for everyone, if you are the type that likes a heavy breakfast, the options are a snack bar at the reception or the adjacent Tim Horton's, that does not open early. If you carry medicines that need refrigeration, then good luck finding a room with a fridge. Suggest, you ask the reception for a list of items in your room when you check in and then spend time verifying it. When checking out ask housekeeping to confirm that nothing is missing. Else your credit card may be charged for things that you did not take.

First off the front desk staff is awesome. They are ambassadors for Winnipeg. Our recommendation to Clementine for breakfast was a delight for us. The room was chic, modern and cool.

I would like to give my props to the Alt Hotel and their staff. This past weekend was a large convention in Winnipeg and one of the busiest weekends for the hotels in downtown. We had a hiccup with our reservation for a different hotel but thankfully the Alt had a room for us. I appreciate how nice and understanding the staff was. My only negative is the bathroom doors have a large gap between, lacking any privacy. Other than that the Alt was a great place to stay.

Nice venue for meetings. I went to a seminar there and the rooms were quite nice. The decor has a faux industrial feel as you can see some bare pillars and some parts feel like a warehouse but it also has a modern feel to it. I didn't LOVE the lunch they provided but another person at my table couldn't stop raving about it so that one is a personal taste thing. It is a new hotel so they need to do things like implement signage showing which rooms different meetings are happening in rather than waiting in a line to ask at the front desk. Also, the elevator was odd in that it had front and rear buttons for almost every floor. Would hate to navigate all of those buttons if I was blind.

Amazing stay at the Alt Hotel! It was my first time staying at an Alt Hotel, but it will not be the last. They have very unique decor both inside the rooms and throughout the hotel. I especially enjoyed the flexible seat in the room and being able to checkout anytime we wanted the day we left (we needed the extra sleep). Keep in mind I stayed here only 2 weeks after opening their doors, but the hotel was loud with construction noise and the staff didn't seem to care that it woke us up constantly. No sort of refund/discount or even apology offered. One thing you cannot blame on construction was the phone constantly ringing through the night with no one on the other end. The room itself however was beautiful and clean. Crappy view, but we are in Winnipeg, so that's not the hotels fault. Not much to do Downtown Winnipeg after 6PM as everything shuts down for safety, so not sure they chose the best location. The concierge at the front desk did go above and beyond to find somewhere that was still open during the evening so we could get snacks, but was located in a dangerous neighbourhood. Would give it a second chance, but in no hurry to do so. For the price I think I'd stay else where. The key card for the room was cool though, and I loved the designated "selfie" stations that uploaded your photos to the wall in the lobby. If you're looking for a funky, modern place to stay close to great amenities, and you have all DAY to enjoy them, then I'd recommend the Alt.

Stayed here for a conference. A very modern hotel with all new amenities in downtown Winnipeg. Close to a lot of great venues like the human rights museum, the St. Bonfice bridge but lacking some basic comforts like shelves in the shower for your own toiletries. Very nice hotel otherwise with great meeting rooms for the conference. Have to work a bit on the food for the conference. Kept running out of coffee and no spoons for breakfast. Would stay here again.

Modern and chic look. Spacious and comfortable room. Impeccable service. Only downside is the windows that let in the noise of the street. You have to choose the silent side.

I've both stayed at this hotel and used the conference facilities — and it's pretty incredible. Rooms are well designed and the staff is great. Highly recommended!

The location was in a great place nearby to many amenities. The room was spacious and clean. The service was superb and very knowledgeable staff.

Attended a meeting at the Alt. Their meeting space was wonderful and worked exactly as needed. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Due to the location, parking was problematic for some of those in attendance.

Friends of mine were staying at the Alt this past weekend. We went to the Merchant Kitchen for drinks and dinner. The restaurant was fantastic and the service was great. My friends showed off their room at The Alt and it was really nice. The room was a good size, was very modern and was clean. I would definitely recommend The Alt to anyone staying in Winnipeg for business.

We recently stayed at the ALT Winnipeg and it was fabulous! We had requested a room with a view and were given a corner room with 2 windows on the 17th floor. The views were amazing and the night lights and sunrise were very memorable. The room was modern chic, and the lobby was very welcoming. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Winnipeg. Thank you!

This is a beautiful, secure hotel in an ideal location. It is an artistically interesting design with simple decoration, just enough to be inviting. We found it to be superbly clean at all times, housekeeping actually clean when they come in, (the shower curtain is even changed! ) and a supervisor comes around later in the day to check on the cleaning job. The room was perfect with the floor to ceiling window for lighting at one end, plenty of room to manoeuvre around the beds and modern furnishings. Extremely comfortable beds, cozy super-clean bedding, lovely pillows. Bathroom was spotless with nice well functioning fixtures. The magnifying make-up/shaving mirror is a nice touch. Continental breakfast a plus. Lovely staff. You pay for parking.

Rooms are nice and spacious. Staff are friendly. Downtown core has a lot of noise though that travels up. I was on 7th floor. If there is a Jets game going on downtown, plan your parking and check in accordingly. Currently no connection between the parkade and the hotel. Be prepared to huff your gear (especially when it is — 25) to the lobby and back.

Can't get a more comfortable place downtown for $149. The continental breakfast is amazing, and so are the views from the 19th floor.

We stayed at the Alt for a couple of nights after our apartment started undergoing repairs and I can't say it was anything less than awesome. Front desk staff are always looking to help out, and the hotel is spectacular. Beds are super comfortable, showers are great and the view of downtown was top of the line. The location is another plus; its right across from the MTS Center and in the middle of the downtown zone, so there's nothing that's too far away, and it's on the same street as us, so it was nice for going back and forth to check on repairs. The stay was awesome in an emergency situation, and I would love to come back sometime again when circumstances are less dire!
