We booked a room at the prestige not the vernon lodge, but when we got there we were told to go down the road to their "sister" hotel these hotels dont even look like cousins, what a joke. So tired and hungry with 2 kids and a dog we head down the road to find the place. I asked to cancel and the woman at the desk refused to get a manager and said there was nothing she could do, even though at this point we felt completely deceived. When I came back bc we had no choice and they said they were going to take my money anyway (from a card they apparently dont accept) all of a sudden she was able to do something and cancelled our booking for us hmmm. With travel restrictions on you think you would be doing everything you can to make your guests feel welcome and safe but not the case at all. If you treat your guests this bad I can only imagine how your treat the homeless in your area which there is a lot of due to it being right by the emergency shelter. Lucky for us the best western took us and our dog no problem, staff has been super friendly and helpful and it's a nicer and slightly cheaper hotel. Do not stay here.

Very nice affordable place to stay would recommend anyone to stay here.

No place like it to escape the hustle and bustle & relax in a little oasis. We had a pool side room central to everything. Dinner at the main restaurant was amazing! Incredibly accommodating dinner service, fast delivery of food order and beautiful plate presentation. Would highly recommend this place for your drive through stay. For us it was a staycation! We will be back for sure!

Nice place. Does not look like much from the outside but inside is very nice with the atrium, pool, and small channelized stream running through it. Rooms are decent enough. Good TV. Very good meeting facilities.

This place is absolutely amazing! The rooms were great but I wanted to spend all of my time in the Atrium. Inner rooms overlook the large sun room, full of natural lighting to feed the real trees, plants, and flowers that surround a bar/restaurant, swimming pool and hot tub. Swan Lake, has a creek that runs through the hotel. It was built around the creek to preserve the natural water flow. The restaurant food was a little pricey for the quality but, theres a Don Cherry's on the other side of the hotel that we didnt even bother with. 10/10, loved it. Will stay again.

Great hotel if you're in the Vernon area! I don't understand why it's only a 3-Star Hotel. Indoor pool and restaurant area is amazing!

Strange arrangement having a pool and hot tub right in the middle of where people are eating. Decent food and drinks, below average pricing. Nice lights and atmosphere, but the people working there look like they'd rather be at a funeral then at work. Some cheer would help!

This was my second stay at the Vernon Lodge and Conference Center (stayed last year for a few days) and it was every bit as amazing as my first stay! The rooms are a modest size and very clean (did I mention affordable too! ), And all the staff is super friendly, and all around pleasant to deal with. The restaurant inside the hotel is absolutely stupendous. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful (as long as no kids are swimming), and the servers were great. This was a great second stay, and I will definitely be back when I come again next year!

The atmosphere definitely was awesome. Old plates, signs, posters, etc. The service was awesome, as well as the food and the pricing. This place definitely nailed the "diner" aspect of their name. It really had that old time vibe about it. Overall a great experience and great food, would recommend and would visit again given the chance to return. Thanks for the wonderful service!

It was a great stay! The staff were professional and helpful in a timely manner, the poor was warm and fun for everyone! The room was comfy.
Only downer, little pricey.

Creek running through the pool area a very cool touch (and very soothing when it came time to sleep). Room was spotless, bathroom was clean and had a pretty new shower. Not a typical hotel, but a jewel for sure.

Great hotel. The covered courtyard has a creek running through it, a restaurant and a pool. It’s got an 80s vibe to it in a good way.

I attend regular meetings at the lodge and always appreciate the great catering staff and lovely facilities. The space is great. A really unique setting with excellent meeting venues and a great staff team.

Beautiful atrium with the creek running through it. Really like the restaurant and Don Cherries bar. Personally have never stayed the night as I live in the same city but it feels well taken care of so I'd expect the rooms to be as nice as the common areas.

Great place to stay. The Don Cherry pub has awesome food and great service. Everyone we met were helpful and friendly. Only place we will stay when in the area.

Beautiful atrium and great swimming pool. This hotel has a relaxing tropical atmosphere. Negative side: rooms need to be modernized and updated, and breakfast is not free.

I love the outdoors feel inside, but just can't give a 5! I always feel like that restaurant could be so much more if they just went with the theme more! That said, still a neat atmosphere to go for lunch or dinner!

Rooms are ok. Common area where the pool is nice. However, if there is an event of some sort you have no place to park as there is nothing reserved for PAYING GUESTS! We came back to the hotel about 7pm after being out for a couple hours and there was not 1 parking spot left in the entire parking lot. We had to park in a place that was not actually a parking spot where we were concerned our car would be hit by another car. When we talked to the manager on duty all she said was "there is nothing I can do about it. " She was rude and did not care that PAYING guests had nowhere to park! She only suggested that we come down AFTER the event and move out car to a parking spot. Had to leave my room at 11 pm in hopes of finding a damn parking spot! Nice hotel right down the street worth checking out. Stayed at The Lodge many times. This experience has made me think elsewhere next trip!

It was a nice little restaurant. It was pretty cool because there is an atrium there and bx Creek flowing through. But it is also very humid. If you go at the wrong time of day the pool for the hotel can be busy and it gets very noisy. Oh did I not mention that the whole restaurant is surrounded by hotel rooms looking doun on you. All in all a decent little restaurant.

Really neat place to eat. Great food, great service and there is a river running through. It has a nice tropical vibe as it is warm and you are surrounded by plants. There is a swimming pool on one side so it can be a little loud if there are a lot of people swimming but it is still very worth a visit. I had my toddler with me and they had wonderful choices for him to eat and the server went out of her way to make him happy. I would definitely check this place out if you are in vernon.

I stayed for 3 nights as I was attending a conference at the same location. The first thing thatbstruck me as the most interesting feature of this hotel is the pool, the "river", and restaurant (The Lodge) area. It was tropical and I loved it as it was snow storming during our visit. What I didn't like about the hotel was that it felt like a dungeon. Now, I am not sure about the other rooms but we stayed in the lowest floor and it had now window. The ballrooms had now windows. It was just plain dim. We had a bad experience with the under staffed Lodge restaurant and luckily, it gave us an excuse to walk out, the food is expensive and the staff were unfriendly. There were a few other large groups with many kids that were staying so I guess this is either the best group venue or best value. Loved the tropical area though.

Absolutely love Don Cherry's the bar tenders Brett and Nick are phenomenal! Always kept me topped up and are super super friendly. HIGHLY recommend this place!

Middle of town, and I love going to the bar! Usually quieter during the week, and the pool tables are in good condition. Daily specials and happy hour of you go in earlier!

What a unique hotel! It has a big beautiful atrium with a real creek running through it. The food was great, the pool was warm and the hot tub was hot and deep. Get a business room with a balcony overlooking the atrium. I went here with my family as a kid and now we're taking our kids and making memories.

I thought it was a nice place with a neat indoor spot. Rooms were average but comfy. Pool was warm and hot tub was oddly deep.

The hotel is nice, friendly staff, but not the peaceful and relaxing place to stay it used to be. The last 3 times we have stayed here have been an absolute gong show. Been coming to the Vernon Lodge since the mid/late 80's with my parents, now with my wife and daughter. Only in the last 5-6 years have we had issues with our stay's. Will most likely find a new place to go on B-days and weekend getaways the next time…

Easy to find, quiet location. Inside there was a beautiful dinning/bar area with a pool and hot tub. Great staff! On the down side, the ice machine (s) were either broken or not keeping up with demand, and the wall paper and power outlets were outdated, but rooms were clean and well laid out.

We reserved for a birthday party and it was awful. The food came out after a very long wait and there were at least 25% of the table who didn’t get their food at all. We had to ask several times before they even checked in the order. They told us the kitchen confused the order. It took over an hour for most of the food and another half hour for the rest of the food to come!
Not even a full restaurant — I would hate to see if they were busy. And an automatic gratuity added to the bill for terrible service.

Nice hotel. We got rooms on the atrium side which wasn't ideal because the air tends to be very humid and smell of chlorine from the pool. What really made our stay however, was the service. We were attending a sporting event and expecting a package of jerseys to arrive during our stay. The hotel was happy to receive the package and even offered to bring it over to the rink for us! Facilities are nice but the service is exceptional!

The bx grille was really good, Don cherrys good. The atrium was great. The lobby and staff were great, and the hotel was clean and well kept. There was ample parking with two access points from street. A large number of staff have been there for 10+ years and still seem happy — good testimony of hotel. Hotel room was dated, washroom painfully small and awkward, and ac was broken. Fridge smaller than most motels. The pool and hot tub were okay. I found the ladders not secure, and the hot tub frankly felt dangerous to get in and out of. The pool was way too warm… felt sickly.

Had a one night stop at the Vernon Lodge. Rooms were clean though starting to look aged. Went to the restaurant in the Atrium. Great burger and service was fantastic. Front desk were very helpful as well. Would stay again.

Service was ok. Some of the dog-based rules are a little too hard-line. The rooms are nice but have some flaws, like A/C is challenging to use. There is great facilities like pool/hot tub/don cherry grill… overall: very very good.

A very nice hotel. Great modern rooms, very nice atrium, restaurant, and pool. Enjoyed our stay. Right on the highway too. Nice and easy.

Very nice hotel with a beautiful interior courtyard featuring a creek flowing through the inside of the building. The restaurant in the courtyard had great food and a nice setting. The hotel offers a $10 food credit if you opt to decline housekeeping between nights, they pitch this as a green option and I don't really like the idea of someone making my bed every night anyway.

A hotel with an actual live stream running through it! How cool is that! Food is very good at hotel restaurant. Rooms are clean. Windows actually open on one side of the hotel, allowing fresh air into the room. Indoor pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Attended a large function in the conference centre and the staff was impeccable. Great food and high quality service. Would recommend having a function here in the future.

I used to really like coming here for food and drinks but lately the food has been not very good, and the bartender made our drinks wrong! Such a shame as the food and drinks used to be really good.

Very beautiful! Most of the restaurant staff was incredible and courteous, except the bartender who lost it about the amount of 'waste' there was for a Bellini and she also didn't know how to make it. She kept telling the other staff that they must immediately remove it from their menu. Made us feel very uncomfortable.

Very clean and nice restorations done. Loved the atrium. Service was great.

The Easter Sunday brunch was extremely overpriced and the staff were not friendly.

I ate in the BX Creek Bar and Grill with a friend. It was a quite afternoon there with not many customers so that was nice. Our waitress was kind but not overly attentive. My salad was quite delicous and my friend really enjoyed her meal as well. We definitely enjoyed with open concept of the restaurant as well as the unique atmosphere and decor. Overall it was a great experience!

I stay at the hotel was very pleasant and relaxing the staff was very friendly and helpful the room was clean and comfortable the pool was nice not too cold and the restaurants in the hotel were very good.

Most hated hotel until now… I have stayed other branches of Best western and got great serrvices by them. But, unfortunately not this one was same as expected. I stayed there, no complimentry brakfast like other branches, no TV working or conncection, No WI-Fi working. When we told staff during billing, they were so rude, and replied rudely. Interior was nice, but not the staff. When we ask for service, takes about an hour to get things. I felt like made a wrong choice to stay there. It is like you paid for get abused. Thank you for your excellent customer service to ruin my holidays.

Place was alright, pool and jungle kind of theme isnt that great, got to my room cranked AC barely did anything, beds werent that great either.

Stayed there for 3 nights with our 5 month old dog. They were great and very accommodating. Great food at the restaurant. Only negative was their small hot tub.
