The crest makes the best food in town luxury bathrooms top service and really good alchohlic drinks that never taste bad sometimes they have waygu beef and also have a circle couch around an outdoor fire that would make a very romantic double date or something along the lines of that there staff get paid top dollar and the tips are spread very well among the crew so bad service is very rare.

The Crest Hotel went out of there this last weekend to make our staff easy and relaxing. The staff “caught wind” that it was my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary and got them some lovely flowers! Also, the food and drinks were amazing (as usual) ☺️

An absolutely stunning hotel, filled with nostalgia and old World beauty. The ocean views are beyond spectacular. The food has been delightful so far and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

We arrived late and were checked promptly. Front desk person could been more friendly.

Great place, we had a ocean view room and it was fantastic. Waterfront market just down the road and walking distance to some nice souvenir shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the Museums were closed today but overall a nice little town.

The very best BBQ rack I have ever had and the side dish with Mashed Potato and small veggies were just as perfect as I have almost never got it before.
THe Service was on top and the people very nice and humble. A very much preferred place to visit by many of my crew from the 367 meter by 43 meter Gudrun Maersk. THis time a very kind regard from the Captain and Chief Engineer until we see you again… Hopefully soon :)

Superb views. Quiet, well built rooms. Great staff and in house eats at 1 of 2 restaurants. And right next door to Safeway and WalMart and a short walk from the cruise ship area with some light shopping and dining. Place in town hands down.

Great service as usual! Fast and food served perfectly. So delicious! I absolutely love their deep fried ice cream! Must try. Everytime I am in Prince Rupert I go for a deep friend ice cream. I haven't found anywhere else that serves deep dried ice cream like the one here!

Nice Hotel, Great Service but PLEASE NOTE: It's an older hotel with NO air conditioning (loss of star for this). Weather was 27 degrees (reading from my car which was more accurate than weather station on a different island) and room was sweltering in evenings with only a 12" fan. Not adequate to cool anyone and we had 5 days of this. Windows open but sometimes you get diesel exhaust from cargo ships in the bay and are forced to close the windows. There is no dresser, just a cabinet with 3 small pull out shelves. No bathtub, instead a beautiful European shower that is not helpful with small children. And apparently this is standard to all rooms — we asked (loss of other star for these). But the staff is great, our waterfront view was gorgeous and the hotel was clean.

My family and I had a great experience. The hotel is very busy and parking with a larger vehicle is a challenge. Rooms are clean and the building has character. Our only issue was the amount of smokers at the entrance. My daughter and I are very allergic and get sick around cigarette smoke. Sadly our room was also above the smokers and we were not able to enjoy the balcony. Luckily we also had a air purifier that kept the room air clean. Beyond that, nice place right on the harbour.

Very comfortable room & bed — stuffed full of furniture, could have lost a chair & a table to give more space to move though. Stupendous view over the harbour, eagles etc. V quiet except for hearing the bloke next door snoring through the wall! Slow service at breakfast & expensive for what we had — massive fruit bowl but mostly melon. Being picky though — we enjoyed it.

We had a good run but we're breaking up with you. There are other options in Rupert, have a look around. Pros: — Nice ambience — Best burger in Rupert — Pleasant patio setting and friendly wait staff — Good place for a few drinks Cons — Had very inconsistent meal quality the past 2 years with an unfortunate, but consistent, negative trend. Portion size has consistently dropped year over year. Quality has also declined. Smells like a management food costing strategy. So it's very experience for what you get, low value. — Insulting comp policy. Bottom line driven (not customer driven) when mistakes are made. They messed up a dietary restriction order on our last visit and comped us a whopping 1% off our bill. Wow, thanks… we won't be going back. — The breakfasts are consistently terrible.

Nice clean room with an amazing view. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant and Charley’s pub was excellent as was the service. Will definitely stay there again.

Fantasy location. Best view the city right by a cliff overlooking the ocean side. Very close to downtown Prince Rupert and walking distance to most of the downtown services. Rooms were incredibly clean and service was arguably the best in town. Restaurant staff by excellent kitchen and all the amenities of a great hotel in Prince Rupert.

Staying at the Crest Hotel is a large reason I love coming to Prince Rupert for work. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the restaurant is excellent, the location is ideal, and the views are spectacular. Request an ocean view — it's worth it! I look forward to returning!

Stayed here for a business trip. Rooms are adorable and affordable. Staff was over and above helpful with all my work needs. Restaurants were great as well. The views though!

Great hotel. Nice restaurant and bar. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, very clean and traditionally designed. It was not a economy room, definitely an unexpected treasure. However one BIG drawback to me and the reason for only 4 stars: the bus from the airport (which is mandatory, you have no other options) drops you off a few blocks from the hotel. It is hilly and with luggage and equipment it is quite onerous. Add winter to that and you would wish, as I did that the hotel provided a quick lift. The bus schedule is regular, twice a day, so one would think it is an easy fix. Good experience beyond that.

Three times in a row — mistakes made, food quality less than good, dinner orders not correct, long waits for food, no drink refills, and to top it off staff argue when you try to point these things out. I will not be making this mistake a fourth time.

Love coming here for breakfast they have amazing service and good food. Some items could be improved but asides that its great.

The rooms were very clean, the service and restaurant were fantastic! Ocean views from the room and hot tub. A nice steam room. It is also close to a Safeway which is convenient!

The food and atmosphere at the Crest is excellent. We enjoyed a great lunch here with wonderful and fast service and food that was delicious. I'd highly recommend eating here and enjoying the amazing view and food.

The fact that we were supposed to be in the private, Rockwell room and were placed in the dining room instead — unforgivable. This was a Christmas function — with gift exchange. Not only could we not mingle, had no where for our gifts, but the dining room was so loud it was hard to hear your neighbour…
The automatic 15% tip was the final slap in the face. Reminds me of why the Crest has not made it onto our Tuesday luncheon rotation…

The "business centre" advertised on their website was very disappointing. Fitness centre was an after thought. Hot tub had beautiful view but looked dirty. The location is perfect. The view of the water and everything is superb. The food was good. Our service was not very good at all. We had arrived as a large party and 6/16 people did not recieve what they had ordered until the other 10 were well finished their food. There were two other tables that had come after, had ordered fish and chips like we had but they received theirs first. Maybe it was a racial thing.

Pretty luxurious. I was surprised it was a nice as it was. There were tons of towels and nice soaps, the beds we're great. Booked through BC ferries, so I don't know how much it cost, but I imagine its one of the pricier places on town.

Clean. Comfortable, quiet. Rooms are warm. Good view. Good Wi-Fi. Fitness center does not open till 6am.

The rooms are lovely. The staff are most accommodating without being patronizing. Everyone is friendly. The view in the dining room is breathtaking. The food was superb and served promptly. So much special attention paid to details. I just loved everything about it.

One of the best hotels in Prince Rupert B. C.

The Crest is located a short walk from the stop for the airport bus. I bet the rooms with rooms facing west have great views of the harbour. My room overlooked the parking lot in front of the hotel entrance but is spacious and comfortable. Bathroom feels new and the shower has good pressure. I have always had good meals at the restaurant — halibut and chips last night was super. A great place to stay and eat when in Prince Rupert.

The room was adequate and when we asked to upgrade the room to one with a tub they were very accommodating. The food in the downstairs restaurant was incredible and the fact that it is situated right next to the casino is a plus. My biggest complaint would be that the only reason we booked this hotel was for it's outdoor hot tub which I was assured was in working order when I booked. Upon asking it's whereabouts we were told that it was out of order, had been for some time and wouldn't be available for weeks yet. I feel as though the room was very average for the price and when you take away the hot tub it's even less of an attractive destination. Not a bad experience, just not worth the money.

I booked one night at the Crest (Room 109) thinking that my one nights stay would be a most memorable experience for the price, $200. Not so. Not even close. The young girl at check-in was pleasant and answered any questions I had but the lady at check-out, definitely could use some interpersonal skills. A simple 'How was your stay… ' goes a really long way and can de-escalate a less than positive experience. The lack of caring and concern speaks volumes. My room had no heat even though the thermostat was cracked to it's max. The Internet (or lack of) prevented any work from being done. I eventually tethered my phone to get a decent internet connection. I just wanted to get out of this place by morning and highly doubt I would return to this hotel if ever on business in PR. There are other options and better ones. I have no idea how this hotel even ranks close to the top 3. Overpriced and lack of attention to detail. $200 will get you a gorgeous room at any Fairmont hotel and plenty of friendly service. Not here I guess. My advice to the GM is keep the Aveda branded toiletries, train your staff properly where customer service is key, and invest in proper functioning Internet and heating.

The Suite was clean, organized and convenient. The view of the Ocean was excellent and the staff pleasant. The food in the restaurant was not to be expected. For Breakfast, we ordered the Frittata, but it was no more than a pile of scrambled eggs and a topping (Poor).

I was really disappointed in my experience at the Crest we showed up for my sisters birthday party and it took forever for our waitress to come and take our orders when she did finally show up she was very rude to my parents and to our grand parents. We understood it was busy but it took a half an hour to get drinks we barely seen our waitress and after waiting an hour we had to track her down to ask when we might be seeing our food, she was cold and said were busy I dont know when it will come. We waited over 2 hours and our food finally came. My dad actually joked that we should have just ordered a pizza because at least it would have came faster. The food wasnt anything amazing and wasnt even hot when we got it. We asked the waitress if she could bring the birthday cake that we bought that was already made and it took another 20 minutes. Our meal for 2 people costed about 160.00 I just wasnt impressed at all. The service was awful the waitress that did bring us our cake was nice though im guessing that they just stuck us with a horrible waitress. All in all I would say save your money if you want good food and excellent service with a friendly staff try Stiles at least your getting what your paying for. Just because were a small town it doesnt mean you should treat people so poorly especially if your going to charge them so much.

Arrived in Prince Rupert off the Ferry, got a short ride into town passing some unattractive hotels on the way in. Arrived at the Crest — the best view in the city, without a doubt. Got a upper room with a view of the city and harbour and mountains — incredible sights! Had a great stay — the rooms were quiet and the furnishings were new, the room service was helpful and with both a lounge and restaurant in the building (and small sauna, and gym) the hotel itself had everything I needed. The lounge was my favourite hang out (had to reserve a table for the big hockey game days), with the restaurant and it's great eats a close second. I look forward to my next stay in Prince Rupert at the Crest.

Front desk agents are wonderful, helpful and very accommodating, but their uniforms are dated. They should be given a varity to wear, and lose the scarves. As a woman I find it to be a stereotypical idea of what "classy" is but it looks cheezy.
