They say they are “pet friendly” but did not make us feel that way the moment we walked in. And now they say they will be charging a 300 dollar clean up charge after one night. If you cant clean up a little dog smell, then maybe don’t welcome dogs. Isn’t that why you have specific room for pets? Such a rip off!

My room had a broken toilet and there was toilet water all over the floor and on my laundry when my wife and I got home so I informed the front desk and only got a 20$ discount.

Passing this hotel off as a Prestige is like passing a garbage dump off as a parking lot. If it were just one issue, or two issues I wouldn't be writing this review but this is a $100.00 room at best. I booked the Prestige because I've stayed at others. However, this hotel is barely above the standard of a downtown motor inn. It's stale and old. Not at all the type of hotel I usually stay in but certainly the price didn't change. $160.00. Two bottles of water may be okay for …those that don't drink water or brush their teeth twice per day. The water is brown — no fault of the hotel but no warning from staff either. The shower had barely warm water, I didn't even use the cold. The slide for the shower is ready to snap off. There's decades of gunk build up in the soap holder. The porcelain is broken. There's no kleenex. The bathroom products are cheap. The cable television is the bare minimum. I suspect the password for Wi-Fi hasn't changed since 2016 which makes a computer user such as myself vulnerable to hacks. There's handprints all over the closet. No tub mat though there is a sign warning that you should use one. And looking out my window I have a view of a rooftop — A/C vents, satellite dishes, et cetera. Did I mention how noisy it is? Front desk doesn't seem concerned about the party I reported next door at 4am. To answer the question, why am I still staying here?

Customer service is great, front desk personnel is always helpful and attentive. The hotel is in a great place and the rooms on the sea side have a beautiful view of the harbor. Bath and accommodation is old, can be renovated.

Room wasn't bad needs updates though. The tub could use a bathmat and the elevator needs work. Other than that, comfy beds, and pet friendly is a plus.

Staying at the Prestige is like staying at your Great Aunt Martha’s. It’s clean and friendly and you can tell it’s well looked after. One could go down the street and find fancier places, but they wouldn’t feel as warm or inviting.

Great hotel especially for a long stay. The suites are updated, very clean and beds are super comfy. Very friendly staff who go above and beyond. Location was perfect. Conviently located right beside the Tim Horton's, Pita Pit and the mall so it's easy to keep the kids fed and happy.

One of the better hotel in town, friendly staff, very convenient transportation since it right next to airport shuttle. Free breakfast is definitely a plus. Downside is this is a old building with newly renovated rooms. Overall this is a hotel I will recommend.

Best bang for the buck. Everything was fine but bathroom was a bit small and would need a little refresh.

Customer service is top notch. Friendly staff in all areas. Decent continental breakfast. Comfortable beds and pillows. However the bathroom was cramped and outdated and the AC window unit sounded like a jet winding up for takeoff every few minutes.

The bathroom smelled like cigarettes. But the top floor view is nice. Aswell as the continental breakfast.

Being from out of town I had No idea where to park my rental car. It turns out I barely had to move. The door to my room (302) wouldn't shut unless I pushed on it which is unusual in a hotel. Seemed a little old, but clean and quiet. The service was good and the location suited me fine. Everything else in my room worked as it was supposed to.

Located right beside the airport drop off and across the way from the national car rental. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms dated but didn't effect my stay. Will return.

The hotel is conveniently next to the shuttle drop off from the airport. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The washroom is very small. The elevator and the hallway are kind of dirty and need to be renovated/updated. The staff were wonderful and great in providing information about activities and restaurants.

Bathrooms could use a reno.

Good place to stay in Rupert. They also give you casino coupon and 10% discount card for restaurant at casino.

The Prince Rupert Hotel is no longer a part of the Coast Hotel chain and as such the hotel has experienced tremendous growth and development. The staff are a pleasure to meet when checking in, and the premium rooms have been upgraded and are comfortable with a great view of the ocean on either side of the hotel My recommendation would be, if you're coming for work, do not stay on the second or third floors, the best rest is higher up. :).

The Coast chain of hotels never fail to dissapoint and this is no exception. Their ad brags that all rooms have been "eloquently updated". They don't tell you they were last updated 20 years ago. Service was lousy most of the time. Check-in took a long time, and calling the front desk was frustrating at best. Rooms were shabby and poorly decorated. Windows were thin and there was lots of road noise. The lino in the bathrooms and fixtures reminded me of my parents 1970s house before it was updated years ago. I found out from a local contact that this hotel is considered to be in the bad part of town. However keep in mind that the good part of town is only two blocks away. On the plus side it's relatively clean and linens etc were fine and beds comfortable. But I won't stay here again.

The elevators had a funny smell, the staff in Charlie's restaurant were rude and not very intelligent. This hotel is not for the business traveller. I think next time I will try Crest.
