Slightly dated but overall comfortable hotel. Bathroom needed some repairs and cleaning and the sleeping area needed more light and plugs closer to the bed or table for phone chargers. What did surprise me the most, no broadcast TV channels available only paid review.

This place has no air conditioning. Had no choice left so we booked it. Needs an upgrade and more cleaning. Was ok for one night stay. Reception staff was very nice and friendly. Has hot tub and pool.

Depending on your expectations this place will either disappoint you or just satisfy you. Don't expect to have your expectations exceeded. First the bad — broken sink plug, coffee maker that turned perfectly good water into a muddy brown colour, no air con, dirty bathroom/soap dispensers & over priced for what uyou get. Good — staff cross the road (you have to check in across the road), bed was comfortable and use of (parent? ) Hotel amenities across road. Be wary when booking this place.

We liked the large room and bathroom compare with hotels in Tokyo. But they were dated & cleanliness & maintenance could be improved · Especially the quality of the housekeepers need to be trained before deploying to the work, at least for the basic needs in a guest room.

Very pleasant and spacious rooms. On site pool and two restaurants are both good quality. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The location is not that great. The inn looks really old. Check-in is at another location. Check-in went well. Found our room and we were greated with an awful smell. Stinks like filthy old carpet. Our shoes were sticking to the tile floor. The beds look clean and comfy and the shower works good. If you need a cheap place to shower and sleep and leave again then this is your place. I would recommend spending the money and getting a better hotel. After checking out realizing this room cost $120 I am disgusted! Check out told me I should have complained when I got the room. Nothing they could do for me. I didn't complain knowing every room in the hotel would look the same. Do not stay here!

Great hotel on a budget! I booked this hotel last minute on my way to Banff and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and the bed is one of the best I have ever slept in. The only thing that seemed a little out of the ordinary was that you couldn't check in at the actual hotel; you have to go to the one across the street. I will, without a doubt, stay here again next time I'm in the area.

The only reason that this place earned the 1 star is because the fellow who checked us into our room was nice! We drove up to the Bumpers Inn and were immediately confused when we saw a sign mentioning that we were to check-in across the street at the Inns of Banff (? ). Ok, no problem. After receiving the key to our room, we entered to find that it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years! I understand the phrase of “getting what you paid for” but at the very least, when staying at a hotel/motel/inn, the room should be CLEAN! The tiled floor near the entrance felt greasy & sticky, the shower curtain looked like it hadn’t been changed in YEARS (was yellow & brown near the bottom of the curtain) and there was pet hair all over our bed’s comforter with no mention of the hotel being pet-friendly upon booking! By no means am I against pets inside hotel rooms, but after the previous guests leave, the comforters should be washed or sanitized. Furthermore, upon searching for an electrical outlet behind the bedside table, we found enough dirt back there to begin planting potatoes! It was totally disgusting! The furniture inside was all dusty and dated, there was a lack of lights inside and our room’s carpet definitely needed replacement (felt stiff from a lack of proper upkeep & was covered in pet hair). Seriously, spend an extra $20-$30 a night and stay elsewhere. Do NOT stay here unless this is your last resort.

We stayed in winter, parking is fine, heater was great. Check-in was across the road at another location. Little bit confusing.

Friendly staff and nice layout. Farthest hotel from the downtown, but still walkable. Air quality was good. They even layed out pet beds, bowls and a toy for our dogs! Great price. Rice. Stay again in a heart beat!

The sheets had not been changed, were stained and torn. There was a smell of moisture, in short I do not recommend.

Was good for what we paid. I found the check-in across the street to be very easy to understand and locate. The workers at the front desk were friendly. Seems they may have updated the bathroom fixtures fairly recently. After reading some of the other reviews about this place, I feared the worst. Fortunately, there was really nothing wrong with this hotel.

You get what you pay for! We chose this Inn because it was the cheapest price for our dates we were spending in Banff! The room itself was clean and I like the fact they provided Rocky Mountain Soap company's soap/lotion/shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom. We stayed in room 107 and my biggest complaint would be the heater along the wall. It made a very loud clinking/clanging sound when it turned on that woke my husband and I up multiple times in the night.

Rooms are clean and cozy with all basic needs. Bathrooms are quite cold with no heating inside, but hot water is always quick. Also the rooms have good views but are very dark. Overall a good place to stay if you don't want to go fancy!

Good service. It was a little bit pricey even after the discount but reasonable for the location I suppose. Room had standard inn amenities except breakfast. There was a pool in the other building across the road available for use for bumpers guests. Shower was good. The room didn't seem to be properly cleaned when I got it, there was an empty beer can on one of the shelves. But other than that it was a good place to stay after a treacherous journey through the winter rockies.

The room is great and the building is beautiful but the bathrooms leave a bit to be desired — grimy shower, no soap, flies on the ceiling, and cobwebs and spiders too. That's too bad considering how nice it could be with better maintenance.

Decent hotel but not very clean. Needs updating for sure. Amenities are scarce.

Clean but in need of attention … the only way to find it at night as that it's the only part of the strip that has no lighting… very sketchy.

We picked this hotel because it was a budget option in Banff. We found the experience to be mixed. Check in was a little weird, while most employees were nice, this one lady with a Spanish accent was nasty, I had never had someone ask me :"what do you want" when I called to let them know I'm coming late. While staying at the hotel, we found beds to be uncomfortable, probably something fred flinstone sleeps on since it is so hard. Also as mentioned by many others, the thermostat doesn't work so it was super hot all night. The rooms facing the trees (not the ones facing the street) are exposed to the train passing by all night. The decor is old although the room is quite spacious. So overall sleep here if you must but don't expect any level of comfort.

The supervisor of Bumper Inns is the worst one I have ever seen! He has never been responsible for the room in his area. He has to check the rooms after housekeeper cleared, but he only spends 1 minute to check each room every time. He often sleeps in the bumper during his work time, locked himself in the checked out room. I think that's why he doesn't have time to check room is clean or not. If one housekeeper doesn't do his job well, others will find "some rooms" are not clean. But if one supervisor doesn't do his job well, others will find "all rooms" are not clean. When an irresponsible worker like this guy can get one more year work visa, there must be something wrong with the management of this hotel. Everyone needs to consider carefully if you want to stay in a clean room.

Rooms were clean but definitely dated. The people at the desk are extremely courteous and helpful. Registration is across the road at inns of Banff.

This place has seen better days. Toilet stained, toilet seat loose. Furniture reminiscent of the '70's or '80's. The smell of stale smoke in my room still lingers from whenever they instituted their no smoking policy.

The bumpers Inn is ok at best the doors got alot of moths near the door at night, and it's near the forest so can seem a bit scary. Other than that the room has a small fridge and 2 queen size beds (well my room did). The parking is a bit small. Service is pretty good.

We booked a room at banff inns through a website for the 7th August and when we turned up they said they didn't have a booking for that night but for the 27th August.
They found a room for me at the Bumpers in $360 for one night. It wasn't worth $100 a night in my opinion Absouletly filthy place the mirror was all steaky, covered in dust on radiator and shelf above entrance closet, Dead spiders two of them near radiator and one on wall. … I refused to stay there and even the head of house keeping said it wasnt acceptable… Checked out within 10 minutes of checking in and no charge.
I wouldn't recommend this place if it was the last place on earth. I've stayed at rundle stone lodge and Aspen lodge and the fairmont and would recommmend any of these places.

The price was ridiculously high!
The room hadn't been cleaned for ages (found food residue from our predecessor on the floor and it stayed there the whole week, run down showers)
Location is not exactly city centre, but walkable distance which is the only ok part.
Even main building where you check-in and go to the "hot tub" is left to decadence. Definitely no-go unless there's no other options in the area (you will survive).

Stayed in the double bed room which is split up into 2 rooms. The beds are very comfortable and have ample lighting. There is cable TV and rooms are big in size. It's location is at the end of the banff strip which makes it convenient. It's not the Ritz but for what your paying versus what you're getting it is well worth it. Would stay again.

Stayed here for two nights, nice little cozy rooms! Wifi is good. Our room did not have AC, but an open window and a fan worked well!

Great place for a relatively cheaper stay at Banff. Helpful staff, Clean hygienic rooms and surprisingly spacious. 10/10 would stay again.

No reception within the hotel, you have to go to the Inns in BANFF but it is not well explained at all!
The room is not too bad but there is only a usable electrical outlet so a little hassle to recharge our phones.
And the toilet was full of limestone.

Nice place, it's a bit out on the edge of town but the hotel provides free bus passes. Roomy but you can hear anyone outside if they're being loud. Overall I'd stay again for sure!

I really liked the Rocky Mountain Soap Company products into Bathroom.

The hotel is managed from across the street and while it looks pretty old, the rooms are big and have all the amenities you would need. Beds are fairly comfortable, just with outdated finishings. You do get access to the hottub across the street.

Under construction but the rooms are nice, pretty short walk yo downtown.

Affordable rates, clean, Internet did not work in our room at all.

Huge room epic bath cold as hell.
