We stayed here for 3 nights over our wedding weekend this past weekend. Great breakfast and the honeymoon suite was so spacious and wonderful! Would definitely stay here again!

Its clean. Friendly. Close to a lot of stores shopping centers. Food places.

close to restaurants and the mall, Tim Hortons is right next door… WIN.

Nice room, upgraded to a king bed very comfortable. Good continental breakfast and pleasant staff.

We traveled from New Brunswick to Alberta staying at Comfort Inn along the way (5 Nights total)
Medicine Hat Staff by far were the best, they went above and beyond to make sure not only my Husband and I were taken care of, but that our pets enjoyed their stay with them as well (the goodie bag for them at the front desk was an awesome surprise! ). Their high quality of customer service reflected the professionalism of Comfort Inn service. There was an issue with my choice membership card when we arrived and they went out of their way to sort it out on my behalf. Also, the continental breakfast was exceptional. We will definitely recommend this Comfort Inn to anyone in the future!

Stayed here for a couple days, while needing to attend a family members funeral. All the staff were amazing. A light when enduring a sad occasion. Recommend this place highly. Wonderful continental breakfast, second to none.

The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. They peovided an knowledgeable recommendation for where to go for dinner and places to see in the city. The free breakfast was good and a welcome addition. They also had free cookies and coffee in the lobby when we arrived which was nice after a long drive.

Thank you to Lawrence for his kindness and his humour. Caroline, who was our breakfast attendant was very accommodating, and friendly. I have Celiac's and road travel is always difficult, so I was thrilled to find gluten free muffins. Only complaint — our room was over the sliding doors — so we heard the doors open and close during the night. Thanks for a nice visit. Louise and Celia.

Great location. Rooms are large and spacious. Bathrooms a good size as well. Directly across from MH lodge and the mall is right behind you. Everything in walking distance. Lawrence checked us in and was very outgoing and knowledgeable. Had a great stay. Thanks :)

Clean, comfortable, and the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. Received a call after checking in to ensure the room was acceptable, and my requests of last minute items I needed (razors, band aid) were met immediately. Random interactions with the cleaning staff in the halls was also pleasant. Overall very happy with the stay.

Clean quiet and well staffed, room eas really nice very easy to relax in after work. Breakfast needs more non baked goods like fruit and meats and fresh eggs.

Great room. Good breakfast. The blond guy with the earring at the front desk trying to help me while arguing on the phone while it was on speaker was a bit annoying. Other then that it was good.

I was very disappointed with their service. They let their guests in without having the rooms cleaned then asked their guests if they can get out after checking in so they can have the housekeepers clean the rooms. The guests brought their own foods and put it in the fridge so it doesn't go bad but the housekeepers took the guests' foods without trying to find out if those belong to the people who just checked in. They took everything that was in the fridge thinking that it was the previous guests and kept everything until the next day. They returned everything that they got from the fridge after the guests complained but not until the afternoon of the next day and as expected, the foods did go bad and was not safe to eat anymore. But the staff didn't do anything about it. They did not even pay compensation and told to their guests that if the management were to find out that they let the guests in without cleaning the room, they will get in trouble. I'm really hoping the management would find out about this. I have never experienced this kind of service before. Another thing, the receptionist sounded mad because the guests complained about what happened.

My crew and I stayed with Carrie and her staff for 6 weeks. The staff was always accommodating and because we started work early, the ladies cooking breakfast would always make sure my guys ate. The rooms always clean along with the ammenities. A job well done by all staff at Comfort Inn Medicine Hat.

The room availability on short notice was very helpful. Service on check in was great! Breakfast was included and the selection was great! The room was clean and suited my requirements nicely. I stayed on first floor and it wasn't all that sound proof in the early morning hours. It does however look like the property is in the midst of modernization. I required a late check out and the staff were accommodating with this request as well. Overall a nice property and pleasant experience.

Very clean and very friendly staff. Signs in elevators to rate them on TripAdvisor so they mush be conscious of there service level. Recommended staying there.

I specifically asked for my credit card to not be charged and it was only on file for reservation and I would be paying by debit once I got there. Upon waking up there was a receipt under my door for the night. When talking with the man at the front, he was very condescending. I explained the situation and how I wanted to pay debit, he told me “You can pay debit as long as it’ll go through as approved”. Annoyed my response was, I wouldn’t be paying debit if I didn’t have the money for it. Now after paying on debit, I still have a hold on my credit card for the next 10 days while traveling across the country. Absolutely terrible customer service from the man at the front desk. He ruined a good experience and I will never use Comfort Inns for any of my personal or business needs again. I would gladly talk to a company representative to recitify this issue.

Nice location,. Close to the mall Restaurants and cafes, just by walking distance. staffs were warm and friendly, very attentive and helpful, rooms were clean, breakfast was okay for the stay but with limit options, having a laundry room helps a lot Would go stay there if occasion comes.

Room wasn't ready at check in, had to wait an hour. Shower pressure was awful and couldn't get a decent temperature maintained. Toilet wouldn't flush. Room itself was beautiful and the bed was amazing. Defiantly over priced.

Typical older hotel, things are a aging. Room 210 had several water stains on the ceiling, very (like VERY UNCOMFORTABLE) soft matress and the mini fridge was off as per their enviromental policy. Fridge are useless if they are not cold when we check in. They might as well remove them. Not certain it was good value.

This hotel is fairly priced as it is very clean, close to restaurants, cinemas, and Hortons is right next door! Free breakfast as well. I would recommend to anyone traveling for business or pleasure.

We have stayed at this particular hotel several times, and always been very pleased with the clean rooms and friendly staff!

My father had a medical issue that brought me unexpectedly to Medicine Hat. Upon arrival Leslie the front desk clerk asked me what brought me to the City upon hearing the story gave me the compassion rate. Thanks Leslie. I asked her for a quiet room away from action as I had not slept the night before then drove 3 hours and sat in a hospital at my dad's bedside all day. Leslie was so accommodating. As well she was so sweet and helpful. Upon falling into the bed that night, which was very comfortable I had a very peaceful sleep due to the hotel being quiet and woke up the next morning and enjoyed their great breakfast before returning to the hospital. Great way to start my day. But definitely a special shout out to Leslie who was so sweet kind and compassionate but very efficient and had me checked in quickly and with no hassle.

Overall a fantastic stay. Great room. Great amenities. Great service. Had some challenges when first checking in with door to my room not working. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating.

I was pleasantly surprised at this location. Comfortable bed, reasonable comforts, nice and cool when entering the room after a very warm day. Good amount of breakfast options in the morning. No complaints.

The front desk was super plesent though we got there late at night. Room was clean, modern, and bed was quite comfortable. The continental breakfast was great with pretty much everything you could ask for. Yogurt, cereal, bacon and eggs, waffles, all hot and ready to go. What tasted like home made whipped cream too! Well done.

We drove 12hrs with our twins, oldest son and dog. Not one hotel had a room or if they did our oldest would have to sleep on floor with extra blankets! (No discount offered $100+). We were ready to continue to Swift Current to find a hotel, but lucky enough, The comfort inn had a big enough room, where my oldest would have a bed AND we could have our dog! Upon checking in the staff was AMAZING! So friendly and quick to get us checked in. Although the hot tub was not working at the time, we enjoyed the warm pool. This will be our hotel when we head back to the west coast, as well as any future travelling. Thank you so much.

Never again. I was charged a room I never stayed in. They would not refund me I was mis — informed by the hotel front desk before booking that they could accomodate parking a tractor — trailer. Once on site, we learned we could not park anywhere, I Lost 127.00$ … they charged me anyways.

Grat hotel for the price and breakfast was included which is always a nice bonus. Updated and clean rooms. I'd stay here again.

Great location, comfortable and clean rooms, and the friendliest staff in town. My husband and I are from Medicine Hat but live in Fort McMurray and this is our home away from home when we come to visit. Staff were amazing when we booked rooms for our wedding and offered us a discounted rate when we were evacuated from Fort mcmurray. Amazing staff that care and take care of you!

Am originally from Medicine Hat, just here to visit. The location is really good, close to all necessities and most things to do. The room was very well sized although the furnace on the one side didn't work as well (blew cooler air) than the other. Overall I think it was a good experience. Definitely recommend.

Terrible service. We checked in with a newborn baby and a 2 year old. Got everything unpacked including their beds to discover that the toilet wouldn't flush and the tub didn't drain when showering. They didn't have anyone to help so my husband had to plunge the toilet. The girl working at the desk ensured us that we would get $20 off and it would processed upon check out. When we checked out he manager on duty refused to give us that discount. She stated she would talk to their manager and the girl named Kevyn who told us that and get back to me. She hasn't called back, just as I suspected would happen.

Great place, very clean and great customer service.

I didn't even stay at this hotel, but got the best customer service I've ever received. I broke down next to the hotel on a cross-country trip from Southern Ontario to BC. One of the hotel staff came outside to check on me and offer help. Another hotel staff drove me to and from the auto-parts store so I could get a new starter motor. They were so helpful and understanding just out of the kindness of their hearts to a traveller in need. Thank you. Highly recommended.

Service was very good which is to be expected. The rooms were pretty good. I was staying on the fold out couch and found out to be soft enough but worn out and seemed to sag in tent middle. This caused me some issues being able to fall asleep. However the experience was good. I did find the price of the hotel to be high for our two night stay.

My wife and I stayed here July 30-31, checked out August 1, 2015. Our stay was very nice. We arrived July 30 and they gave us a room on the third floor. When we walked into the room, although it is suppose to be smoke free, we smelled a strong odour of smoke. We went back to the front desk and let them know we were not satisfied with the room do to the odour. They gave us another room on the second floor which was much better. The smoke detector was beeping and they fix it right away. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We were very satisfied with the over all stay. There morning breakfast was good, lots of variety. Service was outstanding. The only thing that was a pitfall, was you could hear the shower of the next room being turn on. Our stay was very good. Hats off to you people. Thank You.

I stayed here for a night back in February 2014, and I have nothing to complain about. Check in was efficient and the FD clerks (one was a trainee) were both very friendly. I had questions, they had answers. My room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, I was on the third floor and I did not hear a peep from other rooms or the hallway. The internet worked OK, but don't expect to stream Netflix. Luckily, they have a good selection of cable channels. Tim Horton's and Perkins are both within a 2 minute walk, and the Medicine Hat Mall is right behind the hotel, and across the road is the big expensive hotel with the Casino which is where I went for a late-night bedtime bevy. Breakfast was delicious, too much offered to sample everything (I made myself a cinnamon-flavoured waffle — Delicious! ), but the breakfast room was quite small. Did not use the pool and hot tub, or the fitness room, but nice to see them available. Will stay here again if in Medicine Hat on business again.

Horrible customer service, ant infested rooms, poor management, will never be staying at this hotel ever again. Worst experience ever at a hotel.

Comfort Inn put me in the (only) handicap room which I thought was bizarre in case someone who is actually handicap may need it. This room is next door to the public washrooms, across the hall from the washing machines, beside the vending machines and a door inside room 114 that leads straight into the fitness centre. Needless to say, I probably slept 2 hours in between slamming doors, vending machine users, fitness equipment being used at ungodly hours of the morning, yelling maids, running washing machines the entire night, a leaky toilet and every conversation had at the checkout desk. If I were handicap, I would like to point out that I’m just handicap – not deaf! On top of that, both ladies I dealt with at check-in/check-out were hardly young enough to work there and both uttered hardly two words to me. At check out, I was not asked how my stay was (in which case, I would have let them know that it was unbearable) and wasn’t thanked for my business or even flashed a smile. These workers have no sense of customer service. I’m truly disgusted with the services and my stay and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a stay in Medicine Hat to cross the road to the Medicine Hat Lodge or hop the highway to The Holiday Inn Express where you’ll be treated like a human being and actually get a decent night’s sleep. Wow.

I live on the road, so I have stayed in many different hotels. Comfort Inns in general are fine, but stay away from this one. From their ridiculous charges for laundry service, to 1$ per page on SENT faxes, rooms with motion sensor thermostats that shut off in the middle of the night, I can't even express in writing how poorly managed this hotel is. I had to change rooms twice, they were renovating and instead of just not booking a room, the crew comes in through the day, gouges out tile grout (massive noise for other guests) leaves a mess, and don't quit till past 7pm. Never again.

Although the Hotel is nice, I was very unimpressed with how they handled me bringing my dog. There are no visible signs stating "No Pets", nor did the front desk verbally state that pets are not allowed. Apparently I did sign a written waiver, but I did not read the fine print stating that pets are not allowed. Upon discovery of my transgression, I was confronted in my hotel room by two staff who requested I leave the hotel immediately. I refused, it being 10:30 PM! Subsequently, I was fined $150, which, despite my objections, was charged to my credit card. So, I spoke to the manager Brad. He stated that I was told upon check-in, it being POLICY, that Pets are not allowed. I was NOT told this, but he was unwaivering, despite my firm stand that I would never return. Apparently, if he were to let me go then EVERYONE would expect such leniency (his words — was he a principal in a former life, or just really uptight)! Hmmm. How would they know? Well, now everyone will know they handle people who don't follow the RULES! Be warned — follow the rules or you will be fined! There are a lot of other really nice hotels in Medicine Hat, it being along the Trans Canada, and this is the only one in town, to my knowledge, that doesn't allow pets.
