Evergreen Birch Lodge Hotel

The female in charge while we were there (Beverly) was very unprofessional in handling issues, bursting into the Anniversary celebration of my wife's folks, screaming, and creating a scene that ruined what was intended to be an enjoyable family reunion. She also sped her vehicle at some of the kids, screamed at them, threatening to throw her keys at them. If you have kids, stay away even though 5he location is beautiful.

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway with our family. It felt so private but only a 3 minute drive to the beach and all extra amenities. The kids loved the park and playhouse and we all loved the covered and screened deck for our meals. Beverly was so welcoming and helpful and we really appreciated all the little extras that allowed us to just enjoy our time together.

This lodge is absolutely beautiful! It was meticulously clean. Well stocked with just about everything you’ll ever need. Has BBQ, heated gazebo to keep out of the elements. Spacious yard where the kids can play. Beautiful fire pit with comfortable chairs & lots of wood. Really relaxing atmosphere and within 3 minutes of the splash park ect.

It was a beautifully relaxing time. The host, Beverly, is extremely accommodating. Gorgeous little cabin, everything was spotless, and there is even a few horses nearby to visit. 100% recommended.

My family had a wonderful stay in the evergreen lodge. It was warm and welcoming with and beautiful views. We had a toddler that enjoyed the horses, tree house, and awesome fishing. We will be rebooking!

We have stayed at Evergreen off and on over the past couple of years and we have always felt welcomed and Beverly has been very accommodating ☺️. And she’s super awesome with kids!
It is minutes away from Cold Lake but far enough that it’s quiet and peaceful.

Cute cabins, family friendly, great service. Went for the weekend with the family and friends and loved everything about the place. Kids had so much fun playing in the playground, the hidden pirate treehouses and watching the horses.

Our stay at Evergreen in the tiny house was awesome. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. Close to the beach and marina, where we enjoyed easy launching of our boat. The property at Evergreen is beautiful and peaceful! We love it and will definitely be back! Thanks Bev! The Jensen Family.

Great place for an escape from the city. The Willow cabins are well equipped and Bev is an awesome host!

Great place. From the time we called to make our reservation to the time we left the campground, the customer service was excellent. Very friendly staff. It is just five minutes away from Cold Lake Town and the Provincial Park. Our granddaughters enjoyed playing in the open spaces, the tree house and the playground. We highly recommend this place.

A better place for Ice fishermen to stay you won’t find. This was our second year staying at evergreen and it was awesome once again. Can’t wait to go back!

Loiselle family reunion. August 9, 10, 11th, 2019. Awesome venue for our family reunion. We were 31 people. Very clean and very well kept, lots of space in the main lodge, amazing equipped kitchen. 2 kitchens in the main lodge. Comfy bedrooms. Lots of space for the children to play outdoors very neat play area, firepit. Screened in area with tables (there was lots of room for our family to enjoy our evening dinners all together in the screened in area). Bbq's. Thank you Bev. And thank you to Macolm for the treasure hunt for the children what a nice thing to do.

Absolutely lovely. We held a small family reunion of 21 people at the evergreen lodge with the 4 tiny homes for 4 days and it was ideal. Tons of space, beautiful scenery and very homey. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a getaway, large or small group. Clean, homey and comfortable.

Had a wonderful time at our family reunion here. Beverly, Frieda and Malcolm were amazing. The place is beautiful and they accommodated my large family most graciously.

My husband and I, and friends of ours, just returned this afternoon from a weekend at Evergreen Birch Lodge. We had a great time there, and would definitely return for more. The accommodations are spacious, clean and just amazing, the private deck is quiet and picturesque, the area is great for walking, playing and just appreciating the glorious creation. Access to "town" is quick and easy and we did this a few times with ease. Great efforts to detail have been made by Bev and her crew to ensure a great time by any of their guests. We recommend this lodge to anyone who is looking for peace, quiet and relaxation.

I've been staying here, for the past three years. Evergreen Birch Lodge is the only place I will stay, when I visit Cold Lake. I have pretty well stayed in every building, and each time, the accommodations were awesome. Very comfortable, clean and inviting. Beverley is a wonderful hostess and goes above and beyond, to make sure your stay is memorable. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed.

I stayed at lodge and the cottage both places are well set up and maintained will definitely stay again in the future.

The place was roomy and nice but the furniture and appliances were dirty. The upstairs bbq grill was not cleaned properly causing a grease fire which startled everyone. Was kind of hesitant to use the downstairs bbq afterwards because it wasn't cleaned properly also. The male personnel was nice and understanding but the female one spoke to us in a condescending manner. I would not recommend this place to large groups of friends who enjoys late night campfires because we were told to put out our fire by 11pm or we would get kicked out. This defeats the purpose of camping and ruins the outdoor experience. Not worth the money spent for responsible groups of people. People of ethnicity beware of this place.

Stayed in one of the “basement apartments” and loved it. Was clean, modern and cool from the July heat. They supply everything you could want or need. Enjoyed the fire pit and bbq. Staff and Bev the owner were all friendly and would have done just about anything to make our stay enjoyable. Also, close drive to main shopping and beach.

If you are staying in Cold Lake, Evergreen Birch Lodge is the perfect choice. My family of four and I stayed there for 5 nights and we couldn't of been happier with our set up. We stayed in a three bedroom suite with a full kitchen and bathroom. My children loved the property with so much space to explore and run around. Kinosoo Beach is only 5 minutes away. Best of all you will not find a better host. She is so attentive and thoughtful. She will make your stay comfortable and worry-free. Also, this resort would be a prefect location for a family reunion. Lot's of space and everyone can stay in the same location.

I have stayed at the Evergreen Birch Lodge many times over the past two seasons and highly recommend to anyone who wants the peacefulness of the country. Last year my husband and I were guests at the Evergreen Lodge for 4 months while working in the area and with the kitchen fully stocked with all the appliances and utensils a gourmet cook would require it was perfect for us as I like to cook many meals when away. However being only minutes from Cold Lake North and Cold Lake there are many very good choices of eateries to choose from. Evergreen Birch is a peaceful, spiritual spot and the pride of ownership shows through the owner/ manager Beverly McNeil's care and attention to every detail of your stay. Bev's brother Malcolm is also on hand and always willing and able to make sure everything is in working order and to quickly rectify any issue that may arise. Every season and holiday is celebrated through decoration and the Lights at Christmas throughout Evergreen Birch are amazing. This year I am staying at Birch and again cozy and welcoming on this side of this beautiful property. We will never stay anywhere else when in the Cold Lake area unless there is literally " no room at the Inn. " Highly recommended by my husband and I.

I just wanted to share my thoughts on our wonderful stay we had at this "diamond in the ruff", as I like to call it. The warm welcome of the owner (Beverly) and her incredible dedicated staff, not only made us feel at home but most of all like apart of a family. The cozy lodges are very comfortable and are completed with all the necessary furniture's of home. We are leaving but will not forget the two months living there and we most definitely highly recommend this "Diamond in the ruff" to everyone.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Evergreen Birch Lodge a short time ago. The quality of the rooms provided for myself and my daughter were superb, well provisioned and very clean. A friend joined us with his motor home and was provided with excellent service. The location was ideal as it is close by family beaches and town facilities. Beverly and her staff went out of their way to provide assistance and all of the comforts of home for their guests. I would highly recommend The Evergreen Birch Lodge as a Cold Lake vacation destination.

The staff and owner were very kind and welcoming. We got there after a 3 hour drive towards cold lake and were immediately assisted with our rooms. The rooms included a TV and a cable box per room and there was a kitchen and plates.

Evergreen Birch Lodge is located just 5 minutes away from Cold Lake in a quiet area surrounded by trees and an open field. We stayed at the basement of the main building, which included 3 rooms, kitchen and dining area, and 2 bathrooms. Electricity, Wi-Fi, and all utilities were included, as well as a washer and dryer. There were only two groups renting at the time so the area remained quiet and allowed for serene nights roasting food around the campfire. There are also horses, for horseback riding at certain times, and pets, all of which are friendly, on the property. The caretakers were also very friendly and helpful, taking care of our every need and even informing us on events and places to see. Overall, the experience was memorable and certainly a place I would recommend to anyone.

Bev was a fantastic host, with an attention to detail in every way! In Cold Lake for a wedding with sixteen others, everyone was comfortable and happy. The lodge is huge with creative decorating and appliances. Nice firepit, and toys for the kids. Beautiful lawns with plenty of room for games. Would recommend this place to everyone. Don't forget to check out the nicest outhouse in Alberta!

Just had an amazing experience at Evergreen Birch Lodge. Cabin was fantastic and just a short drive to the beach. Would highly recommend and will be going there again next time I'm in the area. Thanks to Beverley for letting us Extend our stay an extra day.

If there is a heaven on earth,, than this is the place to stay when you come to Cold Lake. The rooms are super clean and the beds very comfy. Kitchens are stalked with pots, pans, and utensils. Plus more! The picnic area setting is just beautiful… big open area, lots of trees, and the view is amazing. Bev and her staff are amazing. They go over and above the call of duty to make your stay most memorable. Would highly recommend the Evergreen Birch Lodge for a beautiful getaway location. Weddings, family reunions. And your own privacy! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. Beverley and staff were lovely, welcoming and accommodating. The location was perfect! Prices reasonable. Next time we are in Cold Lake, we will be staying here!

Great stay with little ones. All the comforts of home. This was an excellent alternative to a hotel. The location is peaceful and relaxing while being a quick drive to shopping and the beach. The kitchen was great to prepare meals so we didn't have to eat out as much. I would recommend this location for any families planning a trip to Cold Lake.

My family and I had the pleasure of spending almost a month at this establishment. The owner (Bev) and her staff are incredible. If you are looking for a home away from home, the Evergreen Birch Lodge is exactly the place. In the evenings it's quiet and serene, you can hear the frogs and wildlife in the nearby ponds. The accommodations are extremely clean and comforting. It's a little taste of ranch living with horses on site, the kids loved all the space and I loved that it was just a short drive to all the local amenities, including the waterfront ❤️ I would highly recommend this place for your next stay away!

How anyone could not love this place and it's owner is beyond me completely! We discovered the lodge and Beverly by fluke, and will never stay anywhere else! My guess is Mr. Antonio is a bit of an ARSE! Miss Beverly is an angel on earth in a million ways! She doesn't take any guff though. Consider myself fortunate to know her. The lodge is a beautiful retreat from life's stresses. And we have NEVER been anything but ecstatic during our stays there.
