Cozy and clean! very friendly staff and awesome owners! I highly recommend.

We had a great night at this hotel! Basically just stayed here overnight to enjoy a very special wedding!
We loved the huge shower and enjoyed watching our great niece play in the pool the morning were to check out! After enjoying their complimentary breakfast, of course!

Great hotel! The manager was very accommodating for our family while we were visiting out of province for a funeral. We very much appreciated how generous everyone we met at the hotel were. When we first checked in my daughters were having meltdowns and the front desk staff gave them ducks to play with, my son loved playing with them in the pool. My family loved the pool area, was big and the slide was fun for the kids The breakfast was delicious and the ladies running the breakfast area were so friendly! The fire alarm did go off around 10:30pm so we all had to evacuate but the young guy that was working stayed calm and was great at informing everyone what was going on. The rooms were nice and clean and my son loved that they made the bed with his blanket and put his panda bear on his pillow. We definitely will be staying here next time we are in the area!

This place is pretty cool, plus the kids love the pool area.

We celebrated my daughter's 11th bday slumber party. The staff are friendly. The pool. Hot tub are salt not chlorine and steam sauna was good and the most important is the room is very clean and the bed is really comfortable and the bed sheets, pillows are smell good and clean with very reasonable price 2 thumbs up! 5 star.

Great hotel. Had very nice rooms. The staff was great. The breakfast was good. Love that the breakfast went to 10:00 during the week. Also love that check out is at 12:00 not 11:00.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Right from making our reservation to check out, everything was efficient and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We got a suite that suited our needs perfectly.

I was extremely disappointed with the customer service or lack there of. My husband and I had our wedding near this hotel and booked off rooms for our guests to stay at along with ours. When we got to our room we called down and asked for a few bottles of water since our room was missing them (rooms are supposed to come with 2 free bottles) they said you'll have to purchase them at the store which is closed. Then the next morning we called again explaining we didn't get bottles of water and asked for them again along with some milk for our coffee's. They said if we wanted anything we would have to come down to the store to purchase. We couldn't believe how we were being treated since we not only gave them business by having our wedding guests stay at this location but we just got married and thought at least bottles of water could be left for us to have. They didn't make our wedding night/morning special in any way. It felt like we were an inconvenience. When we checked out they didn't even ask us how our stay was. They really didn't care. I would not recommend staying at this location.

Very clean and reasonably priced. Pool was nice. My only complaint was the breakfast. Not a lot of flavour, but there was great selection.

Location was a bit out of the way. But the room made it worth while. Very modern suite jacuzzi tub and stand alone shower were excellent! Bed very comfortable! Hotel was very clean however desk clerk at check in seemed almost standoffish! Even though would definitely stay again!

We found this suite to be one of the nicer ones in our travels, roomy, clean, nice decor, all the amenities. We were very happy with this suite & the staff were efficient & professional.

Every visit is awesome. Delicious breakfast. Great staff. Ireland and Halle at front desk are particularily welcoming.

Room is good! Kids love the pool! The Library Pub has amazing food and is kid friendly till 9pm.

Excellent service. Rooms were great. Front desk girls were genuinely great at their job. Buffet breakfast was one of the best I have come across. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

My wife and I appreciated our stay here at the Best Western in Stony Plain. This is not our first stay here, and we like staying here. One reason certainly is the awesome breakfast that is served. We spoke with Marci who was doing a great job with the breakfast — a big bouquet to her. Not only was she doing a great job with the breakfast, but was also very personable and friendly. A good experience again.

Nice clean room. Front desk person wasn't that friendly and the room keys did work. We had to back downstairs 2x to try and get them fixed. That is difficult with a 2 year old. Eventually a staff member with the emergency key let us in but let us know that we wouldn't have keys to get in and out. That made going out for dinner impossible. The room was quiet and clean. Overall okay stay.

This ihotel is my home away from home. Very comfortable and has good amenities around for travelers. Not sure why it’s not considered a Plus?

Loved this hotel! Great breakfast — the best in any hotel I've encountered. The rooms were nice, stocked with amenities including bath salts, and was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

The lady running the front desk has a attitude and acts like it's your lucky to be there. Would suggest avoiding this place unless your like being talked to like a child. Huge disappointment.

I love best western I haven't stayed any other place in a while actually go out of my way to to here. Staff is awesome and friendly very clean no complaints.

We started out for a two night stay due to the deep freeze weather. But a flat tire cause it to be a three night stay. Made it to all our appointments and had a wonderful time in the pool … until maintenance didn't like our swim wear and prohibited us from using the pool!

Loved it great for families, pool great and rooms are great value.

My wife’s Christmas party has been held here at the Best Western Sunrise Inn, the staff and caters are friendly and professional, and the suites are very clean, The main floor has a pub as well as the very cool water park with a hot tub, and only approximately twenty min. From Edmonton is worth the drive.

Nice little lounge located in the hotel with pretty good food. Lots of options for breakfast as well. Room was nice. Decent pressure in the shower too.

Sunrise Inn is a comfortable and enjoyable hotel. A very large breakfast area with personal attention by the staff. Well maintained and staff are friendly and helpful.

We had a beautiful 2 queen suite. We only used the room to stay after a wedding but the room was huge. The bed and bathroom were clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. I would stay here again.

The hotel is nice and well maintained. Very accesible from where we needed to go. The breakfast is really good and the rooms are spacious and confortable. The swimming pool/hot tub are nice. They keep the hotel super clean. Overall a nice place to spend some time.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Stony Plain in June. The room was very spacious with a good sized clothes closet and dresser, two beds a couch and coffee table. The room also had a small kitchen counter with sink & mirror, a fridge and microwave, coffee & tea service, a few dishes, cups, wine glasses, some take out cups and lids and some kitchen storage. The bathroom was clean and well supplied with towels, bath robes and slippers, and shampoos and soaps. This may not sound like anything out of the ordinary for Alberta, but this room was far superior to a room we stayed at in downtown Boston. The outside of the Best Western in Stony Plain was also very neat, tidy and clean. A very well cared for facility. Thank you very much!

Located in stony plain allowed pets. Rooms were clean. Pool steam room hot tub. Complimentary breakfast. Staff was very polite. Stayed for 3 weeks but have to leave due to other people booked our room for the end of june.

Very cheap rates and super elegant atmosphere. Grand piano, chandeliers, marble counters and stained glass in the lobby. Slippers and robes available to guests in the rooms. My friends and I refer to the Stony Plain Best Western as "Stony Vegas".

The appeal of the hotel was just good. Apparently the computer system was done and they were doing day to day check-ins. Due to this issue I wasn't sent my email confirmation. When I went to check-in, staff tried to convince me that I didn't book the family suite when in fact I did. Luckily they had one family suite left to give to me but the ladies insisted I didn't book the suite. Very frustrating. The room was very big, which was great. The bed was horrible, same for the pull-out couch. Continental breakfast was good.

Awesome pool and water slide. When I got there they were gonna charge me 150 for the room … haggled them down to 117… kids had a blast. Bathroom was awesome.

Had dinner at the library bar or whatever, cozy atmosphere. Kinda wish they had more than a single set of shelves with the ornate books on them, I don't really know what I was expecting, going to an eatery called 'the library'… but certainly more than one shelving unit of books. Oh, and the pizza was good.

We really enjoy our stay. We went to the library pub for supper. Excellent service and awesome food. Very clean. The only problem we had wad the room keys would not work proper. Had to get the to reset one of our keys. Very frustrating. I did advise the front desk when we left and she assured me they would check into it. She did say sometimes the cell phones screw them up but my cell was dead so I knew that wasn't the issue. Other then the key issue everything was fantastic. Continental breakfast was a great variety.

In the middle of nowhere west of edmonton, but quiet, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful and comfortable rooms.

Stayed here for a few nights this past weekend, and it was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our rooms (2 room suite w/2 bathroom) was huge, clean, and nicely updated and furnished with all necessities. Pool with waterslide, steam room and hot tub was also well taken care of, and our continental breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend to other families.

Stayed here last year with my family. And will be coming back this weekend. Staff were very nice and helpful.

I stayed here with my parents and brother for 2 days and I suggest not staying here ever again. My brother got bit to many times in the hotel overnight. I think there might be bed bugs and the room was very dirty also the beds were really unconfortable. I will never book this hotel in my entire life!

Stayed there for a family wedding. Took a slip and fell in the tub causing me some injuries. Tried to report them to the front desk and was ignored completely. Emailed the Director to inform him and after several days of no response I called him. He informed me that he did not call back because I was hurt and he forwarded it to his insurance company. After two weeks and being sent to the hospital for a concussion that was not getting better, I emailed him again. This time informing him that I was sent to the hospital and now find myself on a minimum of two weeks bed rest. Again no response to this email. I call today on August 20, 2015 and was informed that there is no proof the incident happened and that nobody will be calling me. Great way to run a Hotel, if your guest hurt themselves, look the other way and pretend it did not happen. Now I work as a Manager and have a fairly easy lifestyle, banging my head against things in not a common occurrence for me. My first email was trying to help and reach out to you, both times I talked to you, you never once apologized or inquired if I was OK. You even hung up on my in the second call when I said you should be ashamed of yourself. People the Hotel is nice and well built, outside of this event I had no other issues, just wear traction aids in the shower and if you do hurt yourself, take pictures and insist the staff fills out reports in duplicate as they seem to be trained to deny and tell you, your a liar.

Was here for a Christmas event. Venue was clean and set up nice, for a buffet the food was delicious.

Not a staff member but I come here every time I'm in Stony plain, roughly once a month. Never had any problems, desk staff are always nothing but helpful, they even recommended me a good Cafe to get my expresso fix, rooms were clean, never have had a single problem. Previous reviewer must have had a bad experience due to their own attitude.

Beware is Right. While Cleaning staff and Breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful, Front Desk. NOT so much, and Management and Owner, downright didn't care when concerns were brought up. "customer is NOT right and if you have a problem, you can LEAVE" was their response — didn't even try to listen. Further, exercise room was not tidy — newspapers from days past were left behind, no cups for water, no towels, very warm temperature for an exercise room. This place will take you for your last dime — stony plain is like a ghost town and this hotel and its greedy owner and unprofessional management team will greet you in whatever way they want because they know they will never get repeat business — best western franchisor should be concerned. This franchise is giving you a BAD name. On average, I stay 40-50 nights on the road, about half of the time at BWs. Probably won't anymore. You can thank this disaster of a hotel for that! AS FOR THE PREVIOUS POSITIVE FEEDBACK ABOUT THIS HOTEL. I didn't realize it was appropriate for hotel staff to write reviews. They would be the only folks who have something positive to say. There are plenty of nice hotels in the area — don't take a chance on this one.

This hotel is fantastic! Please disregard the fellow with the poor review. I am thinking that if he truly does stay in 40 — 50 hotels, that he has a standard that no hotel can possibly meet! The first hotel I look to book are Best Western. This is a beautiful hotel and we are planning to stay here again.

Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Lady in the kitchen was very nice and helpful at breakfast teaching me how to use the waffle maker and made the morning much easier. Pool and hot tub were clean and didn't smell of over chlorination! Quick and courteous cleaning staff.

Very very clean rooms! Bathrooms were spotless. Kids loved the pool. Great breakfast buffet. Couldn't be happier.
