It was the worst lodge. The staffs were unkind and irresponsible. After staying for three nights, while checking out, I found in my bank account that more money was paid to the lodge than the receipt. The over-paid amount was about half the cost of a day's stay. So I requested them to explain the reason why it was paid more than all the original fees, taxes and deposits. But they couldn't explain it and repeated that it was a matter of debit cards. In case of a debit card, over paid? Is it reasonable? What a irresponsible!

You get what you pay for, the standard for a three star hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was helpful. Breakfast buffet was alright, nothing special. Our biggest point of criticism is the waste of plastic in this hotel. Plastic cups in the bathroom and the whole breakfast area is a sea of plastic: plates, utensils, cups etc. Not very environmentally friendly.

The prices for their rooms were quite affordable and cheaper compared to other inns and suites. And for a cheaper price, the rooms were beyond what we've expected as it was nice and clean.

Overall a great stay. A few minor things and an issue with the staff but that was remedied in the morning at checkout. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Restaurant downstairs closed an hour before time listed on door. Breakfast was served warm and required us to microwave it ourselves. In addition, omelets were of the frozen kind and placed in ziploc bags which made me question if they were sanitary.

Pleasant customer service. Rooms tidy and well maintained. Cost was economical. Reasonable continental breakfast also included which included a nice variety of self-serve type options.

Wifi didnt work too well but the rooms were clean and the beds were alright. Nothing special though.

Thought the hotel was great. The Price is Right, the breakfast is so so, ama discount, but there was no pool or hot tub, my heart was broken after a long night of driving through a nasty snow storm.

I stayed here for a night on my way to Vancouver from Edmonton. It's a super convenient location, and the best part was that they have pet friendly rooms so I could bring my dog. The room was pretty good and the breakfast as alright.

Great hotel in a good location with lots of restaurants, stores, gas stations, etc. Around it. Great staff and service. Highly recommend!

The room was nice and comfy beds. Wifi was mostly reliable (a bit of hesitation during the second day for an hour or so). Staff was helpful when the clothes dryer broke in order to get our clothes dry. Restaurants within walking distance. Good free breakfast included. I would stay there again.

Stayed here on Aug 21-23. I'll say our stay is OKAY. One thing that I didn't like about our room is the semi circle window above us. There is no way that you can cover it. If you like the sunlight to wake you up, then it will be good for you. The breakfast is OKAY too. Staff are friendly as well. But to sum up, its a good hotel to stay in if you're visiting Jasper and want to save a few bucks and don't mind driving an hour to go to Jasper.

Stayed one night at the Hinton location. Breezy check in. The room was nice and comfy. Beds and pillows were firm and this led to a comfortable sleep. The best part was the free breakfast in the morning. They had the usual continental fare but also omlettes, waffles and boiled eggs. This was a first time I saw eggs being added to the continental breakfast and it was a wonderful addition! Overall it was a pleasant t and comfortable stay!

Great place to stay! The bedrooms and washrooms were very clean and spacious. The showers were very clean and nice. There was a small gym and morning breakfasts were convenient. I had both good and bad experiences with the customer service but overall it was an enjoyable experience. The surrounding area does not have many places to go to compared to the hotel we are staying at in Banff.

Clean and tidy rooms. Comfortable beds and A/C to allow you to get good rest. Very nice and helpful staff. Well located. Good sushi restaurant in the lobby. Only downside, they don't​have a pool right now.

Reasonable for the price, if the beds were more comfortable I would definetly make it a five. Also you can get aeroplan points here which is a bonus!

You get what you pay for… after all, it's in the name: econo. Econolodge offers reasonably well kept premises for reasonable prices, and that is just what you get here in Hinton. There is nothing remarkable about the service. There is nothing remarkable about the beds. There is nothing remarkable about the room. If fact this location does not stand out in any way, but it does provide quiet, clean rooms with a fridge, coffee maker, and extra toiletries in case you are in a bind. And all for some of the best prices you will find in Hinton. Even though a three-star comparison to other hotels I have stayed in, it is a five-star in terms of giving you what you payed for. Have a good sleep!

This is probably the WORST hotel experience I've ever had in my life! I've traveled extensively around the world and found this stay to be awful. Me and my family (including my 1 year old son) thought we would enjoy a restful evening before we visited with friends/ family the next morning on our vacation. I thought I got a great deal on a hotel but then in the middle of the night realized why this hotel had availability and was cheaply priced. In the middle of the night I was awoken to itching on my legs/ feet which I thought were related to the mosquito bites I received throughout the day while being outside in Jasper. However, I was mortified when I turned on my cell phone light and lifted my blankets/ sheets to find BED BUGS scurrying away under the covers. I immediately got up and off the bed to see if there were more bugs. Not long after I woke up my parents and we immediately packed up and got ready to leave — this was at 4am in the morning. When we were leaving I went to the front desk and asked to be reimbursed for our room/ stay. While I was complaining to the front desk clerk about our experience he asked me if he could go upstairs to check out the room. When he came back downstairs he told me that it wasn't bed bugs but dust mites and I could speak to the Manager on Monday morning when he was in the office. At 4am in the morning I wasn't in any mood to argue so just left it at that and we made our way home back to Edmonton.

Staff are helpfull, Room/beds are clean. Breakfast is basic but I didnt expect much more at this price point. If your looking for a cheap place to stay near jasper its the perfect spot. Sure its 1 hour away from jasper but if you do the road at dusk/dawn you'll surely see some elk and such on the side of the road. Would stay again.
