A must-see. Sublime hotel, a great welcome with a little special attention for my son. Perfect room very quiet 800m from the belfry. The lunch buffet is one of the most complete and greatest choices you could dream of.

Excellent hotel in the ideal location for visitors to Bruges. Our room was perfect. The hotel has a modern but warm feel. Best breakfast of any hotel I have stayed at. Best of all the staff are a credit to the hotel. Warm welcome on arrival and had lots of helpful advice.

Stayed here with my wife 2 children sister and brother in law in 2 rooms, rooms are big, very clean and well equipped. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Reception and bar area very nice and clean didn't eat food here but as it was our second time staying at this hotel and we had food first time we stayed I know the food is nice and plentiful. The hotel is very close to bars restaurants, and only a 5 minute walk to the main square, I would certainly recommend staying at this hotel and will certainly book this hotel on our next visit to Brugge.

We stayed here for a one night two day break. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was plentiful and again staff very attentive and polite. Second time at this hotel and will be coming back for a third trip. Highly recommend.

I just had a 3 niight stay here and I loved it, the room was spotless, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast is buffet style but has excellent choice and good quaility products. The location is fantastic as your very central to everything but still tucked enough away that it is lovely and quiet. Would highly recommend.

We can say that I was very surprised by the warm welcome we had at the reception: the staff very involved and quickly proposes suitable solutions in case of unforeseen events. Good value for money compared to the size of the room and bedding. A well located hotel and close to all corners to visit. Recommend it.

Fantastic hotel, we will *always* stay here. Best possible point between the train station and the central market square. It’s “Elegant and romantic wood-and-historical” mixed with, at the same time, “modern and glass” lounge and terrace. I wish we could have stayed longer! Free World Class chocolate with every night and free chocolate tasting at Galler chocolatier (best in Belgium). Don’t look elsewhere, this is Bruges’ best.

Very well located, 10 minutes walk from the train station. Good service excellent staff attention. Rooms should be renovated especially the beds but I must say that I slept much better than in my previous hotel in Brussels. This hotel doesn't have a usual distribution and that makes it cosier an interesting.

A lovely hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff. The room was cosy, clean and adequately sized. It’s a modern hotel, ideally located for those coming from the coach terminal and a very short walk into the centre of Bruges.

Centrally located, convenient for visiting all the best of Bruges, the hotel is comfortable with spacious and clean rooms. Proper bathrooms, with all the comforts. Great chance to park in the hotel spaces. I can't write anything about breakfast because I didn't use it.

Friendly staff and nice rooms. Walking distance to pretty much everything. Such a pretty town that we ended up staying a second night.

Just checked in to found our room did NOT have a bath/shower combination as advertised on the website, there's just a shower. We booked a room specifically with a bath as my girlfriend is pregnant so she could relax after a day out. We immediately returned to the reception to ask about this but the boy at the reception not only couldn't help us as the hotel was fully booked he said, he also responded in a demeaningful way, not helping my girlfriend and me at all. Very bad service. Tl;dr: booked room with a bath, didn't get a room with a bed. On top of that boy at reception responded like a dick.

Less than 1 km from the station and 2 steps from the centre. Nice environment. I have not enjoyed breakfast (€17 per person) but the experience was very enjoyable.

What a lovely place, safe gated and underground parking for our motorcycle, same for cars, staff were friendly, hotel was undergoing some minor restoration, still incredibly posh, but not over-done.

Went on a short break to Bruges. A well appointed hotel in the centre of the town. The bedroom was to a high standard. The breakfast was amazing but the restaurant doesn't open for other meals. There was building work ongoing which made parts of the lobby very dusty, they didn't start working until 9am and finished early. The public spaces and bar were a bit disjointed but the staff made up for it with warm efficient service. Definitely use here again.

Positive: Very nice central hotel with a lot of attention to detail.
Staff is friendly and also speaks several languages.
The beds and pillows are comfortable and large enough.
No restaurant, but delicious breakfast — buffet. Everything that the European loves is available. … Everything from bread to jam!
Not so positive we found that for the children's/Babybett a fee of 12 euros was charged, although on the online booking 2 adults and one child under 12 months was indicated.
We can recommend the hotel to a quiet conscience and also say here See Bruges… and experience!

Very good hotel, nice room, staff available and Gentilissimo. It was highly recommended, we will return to visit and the location of the hotel is close to everything, heating and fantastic services.

Our first trip to Bruges and Hotel Academie exceeded our expectations. Great room, the best buffet breakfast selection ever and friendly, unobtrusive staff. You can even help yourself to free champagne at breakfast. Strongly recommended.

The hotel was perfectly fine. It’s most memorable aspect was its location. Otherwise it was a standard city hotel. Breakfast was good but our room was in need of some renovation. The staff were always helpful.

Excellent location, right in the centre of Bruges, close to museums and all excursions… it avoids travelling by car and transport.
Nice staff, great room, clean and comfortable but the only downside, rooms very poorly soundproofed…

It is very well located in the city center and the chambrés are quite large and comfortable. On the other hand he has a lot of restraint. The team (with exceptions) does not control the reception service very well. The hotel offers a small underground parking which is very very expensive (there are other parking less than 50m away from the hotel on the left which cost €8 per day — but beware — it is forbidden to turn left by car, so a big tower for the neighborhood and required to arrive Er to the parking lot). In the hotel, the fridge is empty and a light with a very strong mirror awaits you in the bathroom.

This is a very nice hotel. Good location with plenty of things to do nearby and only 10 minutes walk from the main square. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Room was a reasonable size and it even had BBC 1/2 on the TV. Decent size underground carpark and nice bar/sitting area. Thoroughly recommend.

It's a great cosy place near multiple shops. And there are loads of sight seeing areas only a small distance away from the hotel. The bar does lots of things to vary different age groups. I definitely recommend.

The staff were courteous and willing to provide assistance when required. Our room was large and faced the courtyard where many people were smoking which was unfortunate. The breakfast was amazing, I recommend going for it. The walls are quite thin, you will be able to hear your neighbours slightly. The location is a short 5 minute walk to the main square.

Having 3 double rooms previously booked, they only had 1 when we arrived.
They solved it by sending us to another hotel (hotel Montanus) which is totally recommended, very good rooms and a very varied buffet breakfast.

It is definitely not a 4 star. Book 4 Standard rooms, assigned 1 typology as from the site, 3 old and stinent rooms. I wonder now, but the asshole who assigned us the rooms, because he assigned different types to the whole group, so doing was inevitable the dispute.
Staff not very knowledgeable and not professional. Price definitely not corresponding to the services offered. One tip: 1 star is also exaggerated

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Our 5th stay and it's been even better than before. Excellent facilities and an amazing breakfast selection including freshly squeezed orange juice and cava.

Well done all night and I don't play it no matter if that even fits in my room for weeks not spend as much as you take and that is the life of those over and I would then go still further up and the package exactly B Egg with off.

Great location right in the centre of the town with plenty of restaurants and bars around etc. I stayed in a single bed economy room and it was very nice, clean, soft bed and a decent price. Would recommend for the price point.

Very professional staff, very nice and clean setting and room.
There was no air conditioning in the hallways (we were on the 3rd floor under the roofs) and the one in the room had trouble cooling properly (it wasn't dramatic).
The paper had not been changed (roll already started) and nothing to nibble or drink in the fridge.
We were able to leave the car after checking out in the garage, very positive point as it is not easy to find a place in the center.
Lunch in the form of an excellent and varied buffet.
We'll come back to that.

While we were lucky enough to stay in a number of really nice hotels and inns in Belgium, this one is definitely my favorite. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and spacious. The staff were typically Belgian – which is to say very warm and friendly. A picturesque 12 minute walk along cobblestone streets to the historic market and yet far enough to be away from the crowds of sightseers, the location on the narrow street is perfect. It is also within feet from a number of good restaurants, including my very favorite Restaurant De Wijngaert. I look forward to returning, however I might park elsewhere and cab or walk to the hotel – the reviews are right, the parking garage is quite hard to navigate. All the same, I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. What a gem.

Excellent service. Helpful staff. Bed could have been a little softer but that's my personal taste. Otherwise all I could wish for in a hotel.

Stayed for one night; it was great! Comfortable beds, great location. The A/C was a bit strange — only had options for on/off and low/med/high temperature — and despite turning it on, I never noticed any air blowing. But it wasn't really an issue due to the cool temperatures outside. Overall, I'd recommend it!

Room side street pretty blurring at night and not really clean… The breakfast is rich but it is not quality, the fruits are not fresh and some products are down quality.

Perfect location, rooms are massive and clean, staffs are really nice and friendly the only thing was we wanted to have a late check out for an hour we have been told to pay €10 which was a bit annoying otherwise I really recommended this hotel.

Never again! Check Out is at 11:55 were still extra€ 10.00 will be charged! It would told us that Check Out of the Hotel, not like anywhere else in the world at 12:00 but 11:00 and then a€ 10.00 fee will be due! Very disappointing that the Hotel is so money by tourists, rip off! The Hotel also has its stars do not deserve. The rooms were not particularly clean, especially the bathroom! In the room there was a kettle, the completely calcified! I would the Hotel not recommend! The friendliness of the employees is a topic for itself! I have to be all at the front Desk expressed interest but nothing!

Great location and satisfying.

Very nice friendly hotel, very clean and comfortable room, only one problem was the air conditioning, told hotel desk and they sorted it out for our second night but alas had probs on our last night. Apart from that, everything else was perfect. Breakfasts were excellent with a huge range of food available. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bruges. There are plenty of restaurants very close to the hotel where the food is excellent. The hotel staff will only be happy to advise you on this and anything else you may need to know around the lovely city of Bruges.

Stayed 3 nights in Aug 2013. Lovely hotel. Good location for sightseeing as I did everything on foot. Only a short taxi to the train. Bed only. Never ate there. Too much to see in the city. G/F room onto the courtyard made it a bit dark inside but amenities were excellent and staff were superb.

Good service, nice location with a good compromise with the distance from the train station and the center of Bruges. The rooms are spacious, although the beds are a bit too soft for my taste.
