Very close to the city centre. Convenient to go and visit the Center on foot. Lacks staff but works well. The rooms I think should be more airy. Clean. Disappointing breakfast.

Very nice staff, great room unfortunately a bit warm, little street noise.
Breakfast simple but all fresh.
Always happy to be back!

Pros: 1. Close to tram stop. 2. The decor is practical, tasteful, everything is new. 3. At the time of stay at the reception had Russian-speaking employee. 4. Relatively inexpensive place to stay in Vienna. Cons: 1. Just the perfect acoustics with the neighboring room (you hear everything! ), if you need quiet at night — choose a different place to stay! 2. In the room there was no refrigerator. 3. Still, metro will have to get the tram if you don't want to waste precious time (during the journey it always is) ), choose the version closest to the metro.

Great location with tram or bus. Clean rooms and tidy furnishings. The system with the key is not very easy.

We stayed in a standard double room for four nights. Pros: — A delicious breakfast — Kind and helpful staff — Nice beds, clean rooms — Near the Rathaus christmas market if you visit during christmas time — A nice shortish walk to the city center — Two metro lines easily accessible by a short walk Cons: — Walls seemed to be made of paper, as we could clearly hear our neighbors talk to each other as if they were in the same room with us — The slide door solution for the bathroom was slightly odd, as it didn't completely cover the doorway.

Cosy hotel and I have not encountered any kind of problem. Good cleaning. And the room equipped with everything.

Pension is very well located, just one block from the pedestrian and two of the metro, very comfortable, with everything you need!

Room was clean and the staff was friendly. Check in and check out was easy despite not speaking German. Price was a little higher than I was hoping for, but I can't complain. Overall, I would recommend it.

Nice hotel, good breakfast.

For the price of 80 euros without breakfast from FR to SA it was really okay. Very nice receptionist (yes, you have to pay attention to when the reception is open), very large hotel room, absolutely clean. The TV was just exchanged for digital change, the shower hose was leaking, but all things that didn't bother me big. The deafness that other users here complained about, I found not so tragic. The bed was okay, but there is probably a new mattress due soon. The biggest advantage of city rooms is the super location with an incredible number of shops and cafes around the corner.

A bad experience. We had to change rooms two times during our stay because of broken beds. There is no reception desk after 17:00 so you can't solve any problems that occur later. We were offered 20 compensation for five nights but that was far from enough.

Great reasonably priced hotel. It's slightly out of town but right next to bus and tram stops which are really easy to use and about 5 minutes walk from the metro station. Simple but nice breakfast and very friendly staff.

It is not a place for children! I state by saying that it is not a hotel! Staff ghost! We were in Vienna, with a child of 1 year and is not a suitable place for strollers, narrow stairs everywhere. Has the lift which is a hole. We arrive after the closure of the reception (who is 17! ) outside — 3 degrees, I call and they tell me after half an hour and give me directions on how to enter. We arrive in the room the baby cot for the baby was not there! The windows have drafts huge which enters the cold air! The heater was not working! If you call after the closing to replies staff that is part of another hotel! Then I forgot are divided rooms in a building: the first floor there are 10 rooms on the second, there is the breakfast room (very scrausa), and the third ten other rooms and the reception, but is not connected between them like a hotel! It's really bad. All wrapped in a very bad carpet! It is not a place for children!

Entrance was not nearly reminiscent of a hotel, the walls are extremely noisy. Clearly the €100 for the comfort room on a Saturday was not worth it, as well as just construction work on the façade. No further recommended.

The room was nice and clean! The location was good for walking downtown or taking the public transport. We decided not to take breakfast, so I can't comment about it. You need to pay attention to office hours because they are quite limited.

Hi I was a guest in City Rooms on November 2014. I would definately recomend this hotel. Localisation was very good, very clean rooms, exelent and helpful service.

Rooms are clean and nice. The location of hotel is not far away to the city center. There is also a nice bar near the hotel. Only thing is the reception works only between 9-17. You have to know your pin code that might be different from which is written at your e-mail. We arrived at 23:00. Our pin code was rejected. Then a waitress, who is a nice girl and works at the bar near the hotel, helped us, called the hotel center office and got the correct pin code. We thank her again.

The rooms are good for a short stay, but be aware that the reception is not always open (I think only 8-11 and 2-5pm) Other posts also criticize this, therefore I planned my arrival thoroughly. Checked in September 2014 and the reception times are still that short. To the owners: there are key vending machines which dispense a chipcard with a code for late arrivals. Perhaps you should invenst in such a robot or perhaps in personell. Rooms are ok, TV is not digital, which results in a very limited channel selection. No ORF or other Austrian channels, only a few German ones. The bed has a quite thin but soft mattress. It's large enough for two. Good pillows and reasonable connection to public transport. Stayed in room 11

City Rooms is perfect if you want to visit Vienna for a couple of days. Located in a relatively quite neighborhood close to the University Campus. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is excellent. The reception has limited opening hours, which is a but inconvenient if you want to check in late. (When you arrive late, you need to make a phone call to ask for instructions).

It was a very nice hotel. 10 minutes walk and you're at the subway. Recommended.

Wonderful place to stay. The entrance is quite strange, but inside is very nice.

We needed to spend the night in the comfort after working day close to the city I was not looking for luxury but only clean nice room. Fulfilled to the entire satisfaction. Pleasant friendly staff. I definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, I can write a positive review. The very good place in the 8th district, the very helpful employee who tried to make the best out of the situation (praise), and the handover of the keys was positive.
Negative were:
-the entrance very dirty and was not cleaned on both days
-the carpet dirty (why is there even carpets in hotels? )
-a small refrigerator in the closet, empty and dirty (why is he then? )
-too soft mattress (old? )
-Breakfast: no one, the vlt. An egg or a fresh cup of coffee can do (I do without very old coffee from a thermos) anyway, not worth 10 euros
Obviously saves the hotel management staff and it is very cheap. On the other hand, if with a — or that two other employees and check out smoothly, I get also a soft-boiled egg and fresh coffee for breakfast, and I find a reasonably clean floor in the rooms and in the entrance I am also willing to pay more.
So I find that it is really a pity. You could run it professionally and then it would be really good, but so.

Central, friendly, clean. Ideal for a city break, if you spend a little time in the room. You can not wipe out the tram behind the House.
