Love this hotel. Great location.

All round Good and basic — no frills inside but good trattoria attached.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, excellent location just beside Graben, U-Bahn and 2 mins from Stephansplatz. Room was nice and clean, air con worked perfectly which was a big plus as the weather was very warm during my stay. Good shower and water pressure. Breakfast buffet was ok and very friendly staff serving coffee and tea. I was very pleased with my stay at the Graben Hotel and will definetely recommend the hotel!

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Graben Hotel very much. The rooms are nice, the breakfast put all American hotel breakfasts to shame, and the staff was friendly and helpful — especially Jonathan — we always enjoyed seeing him at the front desk. The location of this hotel is perfect. We would love to return to Vienna and stay here again!

Small-ish room (to be expected in Europe) but great central location and price. The breakfast is included and is very impressive, and at least some of the rooms have air conditioning.

Ok hotel. Nothing very different from other places. Had to open the window to get air in the room as it got stale quickly. Breakfast was ok but didn't have a big selection. Especially warm food was missing. Only scrambled eggs and sausage / bacon or pan fried eggs. Not bad, but also won't blow your mind in any way.

If you like the slightly angeranzten Viennese charm, here is the right gold. I unfortunately had a room to the courtyard, which at this point was more like a shaft, therefore only 4 stars. Frühstück9 on coffee House level. However, you should ignore the coffee can on the table and directly the melange, Brown etc. Order. Comes at no extra charge. For drivers, however, expensive vehicle overnight with haul — and bring-in for the coach for 35 tacks. However, public transport users have 1 min to the subway.

Good location Stefan 1 minute walk. The rooms are small with imitation of antique furniture. The windows of the upper floors have a chic view of the roofs and cathedrals of Vienna. Good conditions for sleep: triple Glass. There is a lift. Delicious food. Friendly staff both in the hotel and in the restaurant. The breakfast was very nice.

Great hotel. The highest rating and rooms, and service, and location. Located in an old house. I do not know when there was renovation, but the renovation in the classic style of all the rooms is just perfect. Very interesting engravings and lithographs with images of the ancient streets of Vienna in all corridors and on the stairs. The rooms are small but very comfortable. Clean and tidy rooms at the highest level. The breakfast is great and surprised that almost every day the assortment of hot dishes was changed: omelets and sausages, cold meats and cheese, and these were the products of the highest quality. On Friday and weekend there were caviar and salted salmon. And also many more things, including interesting Austrian sweet pies. The service at breakfast deserves to be noted especially. It is at the premium level, as is the work of the reception. All institutions of this network are always pleased with the high quality of service and all other parameters.

Perfect location, excellent over the top free breakfast. Room was clean and well appointed with classic furniture. Everything worked great. Nice staff. Truly in the absolute center of everything we did.

I must say that the hotel begins to deteriorate. We stayed in it more than once. It turned out to be unpleasant that the declared ' cabanas ' bed is simply absent. The room we were given on the sixth floor with low ceilings and it was supposedly superior… I had to go down and correct the situation… Yes, the hotel is original… But the furniture is already giving old age… Cramped… But the staff is pleasant, helpful, diligent… Especially the waiters at breakfast… Very clean, comfortable.

A clean and comfortable hotel with the best tourist location possible. Breakfast is good if simple. The adjoining restaurant serves very good Italian for lunch and dinner. Good A/C and an elevator make it a nice stay.

"Perfect place to stay"
The Graben hotel is a thoroughly comfortable, updated classic Vienna hotel. The rooms are spectacularly clean, the hot water is plentiful, the wireless streams without pause, and the beds are very good (my single was almost a US double sized). Modern lift and air-conditioning, and still windows that OPEN! The breakfast buffet was fantastic. My single room was small, under the building eaves, but it was bright, welcoming, and quiet. But the gem in this hotel (still owned by a family chain) is the staff: attentive, caring, willing to go the lengths it takes to help out with what you need and want. Add to this a location right off the Graben shopping district, with a historic cafe (Hawelka) right across the street, THE place for finger sandwiches (Trzesniewski) right next door, and St. Stephen's Cathedral just a short way around the corner, you couldn't do better.

Wonderful hotel, friendly staff (even when you're the only party animal on your family holiday and get back after a nightlife adventure at 2am), great food. Plus, it's close to Stadtboden, which will now be my go-to for starting my next Austrian bender. It's also drop dead in the center, so the location is wonderful. And my room was cosy and clean. And the bed was comfy. My dad booked this trip and I'm glad he chose Graben!

Good hotel. Right near center of town and easy access to a metro station. Similar to most European hotels in a main city. Smaller rooms than most Americans are used to, but functional and has everything you need. Good breakfast.

Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Dated decor but great location (Less than 1 minute walking time to the underground at Stephensdom). **** on here, but a good **/*** star in my opinion of British Standards.

Hotel in the heart of Vienna. Near St. Stephen's Cathedral. The rooms are small. No slippers, and cleanliness is so-so. There was so much dust on the dryer that he didn't even take his hands. Breakfast is good but monotonous. Near the hotel is the street of Hornbeam, which has a lot of shops and cafes.

I enjoyed the hotel very much, comfortable. Great air conditioning forthose hot nights and in room safe with free Wi-Fi. The breakfast was great and enjoyed talking in German with the staff there. Housekeeping was great. The misunderstanding with regards to an extra payment that I was asked for upon leaving has been resolved and made me feel better after feeling a little let down and not listened too at the time. I appreciate the time and effort in resolving the issue quickly. Thankyou. Highky recommend hotel for cleanliness, friendliness and facilities.

Location, location, location. Not very modern but you get the classic Vienna downtown feeling outside and inside the building so if you want to experience this, way to go. Besides you can not beat the location as it is exactly across café Hawelka.

An incredibly great location in the heart of the 1st District. Sights such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, Hofburg, Museum quarter etc. Can be reached in a few minutes on foot. Cafés and restaurants also. The hotel itself is charming, very neat! Our room was small, bathroom also, but in a top a condition, very clean! The breakfast is really good and the ladies in the services very friendly. We can only recommend this hotel and will like to come back.

Excellent location to see everything historical in Vienna. The hotel is also located around the corner from the St. Stephen's Cathedral, which makes it very easy to find your way back from most of the points in the city. Just search for the high peak and follow to it. The hotel itself was very accommodating and cozy. Nothing luxurious if that is what you desire, but you just cannot beat the location. Excellent breakfast choices.

I leave my electric toothbrush in the hotel room, after a phone call, it was me on hotel costs sent it home, thanks to the great employees.

We stayed for a week in June 2016. We loved it! The staff was knowledgable, friendly and available. The location just off the Graben is perfect — walking distance from many of the places we came for, like the Statsoper and Stephansdom. And the price was quite reasonable for the location and the amenities. Strongly recommend!
