Perfectly quintessential Vienna. Clean and comfortable, nice morning breakfast, beautiful architecture in the middle of it all. Strolls at night on the promenade right out front. Restaurants and shops just steps away. Walking distance to the finest museums and parks. Couldn’t ask for more.

Nice hotel in a classic European style building (with molding on walls and old fashioned elevators). The location is great, most of major tourist sites are within walking distance. Our room was large and clean with a small balcony that did not have enough space to sit but could stand. The breakfast was good too. The staff was very friendly. The only weak point is the lack of air conditioner. There was a strong fan in the room, but in the hot days it wasn't enough for us. Overall recommended.

Located in the heart of Vienna. Good service, good breakfast. But once again I became convinced that the old hotel always loses to the new convenience. It was hot, but there was no air conditioning. The perfume is eerie. With the windows open, you don't need an alarm clock. You won't hear him. But the sounds of the city will wake you up at 5 a. M.

The hotel was nice. Comfortable and some staff were friendly especially the elderly door man who was exceptional! We were on honeymoon to mark our 1st wedding anniversary and were happy to be upgraded from a standard room to an executive room! Thank you! We were also amazed at how it was centrally located as we were surrounded by the nice restaurants and shops and we usually took walks around very late at night as well and felt very safe. The only problem was the lack of air-conditioning because Wien was so hot! It was blazing. Though we had a fan but it didn't keep us cool enough. The staff were also nice to keep our luggage till evening long after checking out. The hotel comes highly recommended!

First of all it has a great location. It does not get better than this and it is not soo expensive. It has an old hotel charm, small vintage elevators, receptionist who has been working there for couple of decades and can remember old guests and is very helpful. Breakfest is decent. Rooms are very comfortable. I recommend it and would stay there again.

The hotel I would describe as a historic boutique hotel. Such an old entourage. In the lobby — water with lemon and oranges, apples. Computer and printer.

It's the same old elevator. In the tradition of the 30s.

Rooms are three-and-a-half. I love modernity more. The parquet is very old, creaking. In some places the floor sags in the form of pits. Bathroom — there is already everything modern, clean, beautiful. Some rooms have a large window in the bathroom, some have a bathroom separately. The bed consists of two shifted.

A separate room on the ground floor where you can pat your belongings. There's no iron in the room.

Breakfasts are great. Good choice and everything is delicious.

The hotel itself is located in the center, 200 metres from the opera house, Cafe Saher and 300 metres from Stephen's Cathedral. Nearby is a pedestrian street, 150 m supermarket Bill.

It is a cozy hotel but rather worth 4stars in the upper room categories! Birthday my was noted 1 day late, we received a dark backyard room and the construction site noise can hardly be endured after 6 o 'clock in the morning. Close windows to and curtains. Zimmmers are very clean though and the cleaners do a topJob. The hotel looks old and old.

Old fashioned hotel. If you like this then it is good for you. I kind of liked it. No A/C so in hot temperatures it will be pain. Stayed in Deluxe room so it was good from the space point of view. Classic keys to open and lock rooms. Slow elevators. Friendly stuff. At the heart of city center. So I would say good choice if the weather is not hot.

I was a seminar participant at this hotel. The location is perfect for seminars. In the middle of the city, subway, tram, almost around the corner. What I really liked was the room where the seminar took place.

Spacious rooms. Clean. Big bathroom with a shower that works! Little French balcony. Tea making facility in room. Reasonable parking 3 mins away. Very central. Friendly staff. A great choice for central Vienna.

All only good can say: The room is great, the service is great and the room and breakfast is located on the main pedestrian street. The breakfast is excellent. Some pluses!

Super seminar rooms Old Viennese hotel very cozy.

Great hotel. Ideal for visiting Vienna, you have at 100 meters the tram, metro and train stops. The rooms are very well decorated and they are quite spacious. In the vicinity there are cafés and typical Austrian restaurants where you can eat and have breakfast at affordable prices.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great location and very comfortable room with friendly staff very helpful. Closed to Metro. Normal Air Conditioner was comfortable enough to sleep. Lot of food choices around the neighborhood.

The Hotel is located at the center of the downtown. Very easily connected to all tourism attractions and a McD s jUst next to you. Nice Italian pizzas around as well. Affordable and neat. Worthy.

Very nice hotel, I got FREE upgrade room coz the room was small (big thanks to the luggage man). Location is great for everything, shopping, restaurant, coffee shop and visiting the famous places… all by walking distance. Price was good also. Very nice people at the reception.

Wonderful hotel nicely situated between Stephensplatz and Karlsplatz metro stations in a historic building. Easy access to shops and cafes. Within walking distance of the museums, and a short metro ride from Schönbrunn Palace. The staff is warm, professional, and accommodating. The rooms are nicely arranged and decorated with a classic feel. On return trips to Vienna I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Great service. The room was kind of small, but it was clean and well maintained. My only (sort of) complaint was the lack of air conditioning — especially during summer it gets extremely hot and makes it hard to sleep. There a few rooms with air conditioning, but those are more expensive. The hotel is really well located — so can basically walk to any museum and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The staff was great and they can help with addresses. You can also buy a Vienna City card in the lobby — that is something I totally recommend tourists to buy.

Excellent location. A walking distance from the major attractions. I didn't give it a 5 simply because the rooms were small and had no air conditioning and we suffocated during the 36 degrees centigrade days.

Excellent location, and the morning breakfast has a lot of good options. It can get a little hot in the rooms during the hotter days of the summer months because of no AC in the rooms. The breakfast room does have AC. Will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Vienna!

A 4 * hotel that is only worth 2! Lack of air conditioning, anemic shower, almost no electrical outlets…

We stayed in a comfort room which was very nice, because of the summer temperature outside, the room did get quite hot, although a good fan is provided — rooms would clearly benefit from some kind of air conditioning and I think the owners should look at a way to install this while retaining the lovely character of the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is of a very good quality with plenty of tasty options to choose from.

I was unfortunate a bit to stay in the hotel while the temperatures in Vienna were around 30 degrees Celsius. The room that I got had quite small but south facing window and since there was no air-conditioning in the room (not existing at all), I really had troubles getting my beauty sleep. Normally I sleep like a log wherever I lay down, but it is hard to do it if you are soaked wet and sweating even in the middle of the night. Lack of air conditioning is just one of the signs of old age of the hotel. Elevators are quite small and slow to operate, doors still use ordinary keys (not to mention that there are two doors with occasionally troublesome key locks for getting into the room), bed have seen better times. However the location just 100m from Opera is superb, staff is really kind and efficient, maintenance and hygiene is good. Breakfast was rich, fresh, but variety could be improved. I would recommend the owners to invest into renovation of facility to bring it up to more contemporary level.

The Hotel is located right in the heart of the historic district. Good reception, varied and copious breakfast, spacious and comfortable rooms.

Staff is nice but rooms r like do entry if u book a single room major problem with room no air to breath no air conditioning they expect u to open windows and sleep too clustophobic I do not recommend anyone though it's very centrally located to all major spots but u pay a bomb for no comfort I got an asthma today as they said its non smoking and when I was allotted the room was a domentory full of smoke which they called it a single classic room I had major issues then lady at desk one of them was kind to upgrade me when I was in tears. But very uncomfortable room first room which has no air to breath first 4 star which aspects u to sleep with windows open no more reasons.

I'll make this short and very sweet. Right in the middle of my stay, I decided I would have to tell the world that this is the place to stay in Vienna. It's one short block to the Opera house and in the most amazing area. The staff was super helpful and genuinely eager to be of assistance and I needed quite a bit. Fabulous VALUE too.
