Excellent location, accommodation and staff.

Nice place for a quick break. Walking distance from the city centre, nice room and comfortable bed. Friendly staff too.

Very terrible experience. The housekeeping accidentally took away my belonging when cleaning up my room but the staff did nothing to reimburse my loss. They even told me that the hotel is not responsible for any loss. They were at fault in the first place but I need to bear the loss. What the hell is that? Besides, the bed sheets are VERY DIRTY and you will feel very itchy to sleep with. What a joke when they still named the hotel ‘By Comfort’. Very unpleasant experience and probably the worst hotel I had ever stayed. Never ever try this hotel.

The hotel has an excellent location, just a few minutes walk to the city center. A garage is available for motorists. The facilities are convenient, the staff are friendly and helpful. Last but not least, I find the price-performance ratio absolutely okay. I'll be happy to come back.

Nice location right next to the mountain. The service was good and I also liked the room. The 'air conditioning' didn't really work though and it was a bit hot. There is also a store a couple hundred meters away if you want to buy something. There are some food places close by but other places are a longer walk away.

A very good hotel and very central. Has 2 parking garages and a breakfast area. The rooms are spacious and modern, the bed is very comfy and the bathroom is tidy and everything is functional. A very good hotel for business travelers.

Great hotel for the price and location. Just walk through the tunnel (0.2miles) and you are in old town. Basic hotel but perfect for the price. It has parking for €16 per night.

Nice beds, good shower, air conditioning and fridge. Cozy seculded place with no outside noise. Also had a friendly kitten outside.

Very friendly Staff and it is also All very TiderA very nice Hotel which is also located directly on the Greze of old Satd and from "new" City. It takes about 3-4 minutes to get to the old City. The Hotel has a Parking Garage and breakfast, but you have to pay for it. The Parking Garage costs 16euro and breakfast is 14euro per Person. There is an Elevator where goes into all The pockets of the House. There is 24 Hours always someone at the Reception, there they can ask all the Questions they want. You also have a Map there on which the old and "new" City can be found. They also describe to you where your Goal is and you need and what is Nearby. I wish them a nice Stop in Salzburg.

This hotel lacks some of basic amenities which I always get from other hotels (even 1-star or 2-star hotels) 1. Coffee machine 2. Kettle 3. Cups The room has a mini (very mini) fridge… but it's not cold enough.

Clean little Older hotel, for Buissness travel OK. There are non-smoking and smoking rooms, with a work desk and a large room. Breakfast good, fruit salad could be made from fresh and not canned fruit. Nice staff. Good location.

Hotel with breakfast in which you feel comfortable. Very pleasant friendly staff, bright and well appointed clean rooms. From the hotel you can walk quickly in the center in the old town.

Everything was good, reception staff (at Chek in) was full of cool, parking garage is an imposition and challenge of every driver.

Place is fine, dated but clean, beds are ok, service was attentive and friendly. Just a bit outside of the main tourist area but a short walk through the mountain tunnel — just know where you're going first!

Good central location clean hotel with nice staff. Breakfast is usually not necessary at the confectionery Ratzka and in the city centre. Breakfast room at Full House a little cramped, from rest far away. For a long weekend but very good.

Good value if you are doing salzburg on a budget, really close to the old town, staff are friendly, rooms are cosy and clean but a little basic. Close to bus links too!

Cracking location, friendly service, great breakfast.

It seemed expensive at first, but the room was incredible for the price. We ended up getting a suite with a nice view and private balcony for what we thought was a small bedroom. It's a very convenient walk to most of the sights. I'd highly recommend it as a place to stop in Salzburg.

Stayed for multiple nights. Hotel was in an incredible location that allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Rooms were very clean, staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. If we returned to Salzburg, we would consider staying here again.

Hotel is more budget hotel. Rooms are clean, no minibar in rooms, but they have bar (very small with limited choice) opened 24/7. You can get coffee anytime.
This hotel is very nice for and the food in restaurant is exellent.

The hotel is in the perfect location. It's on the other side of the mountain from the "old city". This allows a peaceful nights sleep. 50 yards from the hotel door is the entrance through the mountain into the "Old City", it's very cool and a very short walk to all the action in Salzburg. Rooms are clean and staff is professional. Treat yourself to this affordable, well located hotel in Salzburg. Enjoy!

Booked double room, but apparently number of guests is also important, and was charged extra 20euro/per night.

Wery nice place good food.

The rooms are small but clean. We got a standard room with a double bed. TV is small and has Austrian channels so no English channels but that's to be expected. Breakfast is nice with a healthy choice of fruit scrambled eggs coffee and juice. I'm no hotel snob so I'm pretty comfy. Staff is friendly too. Nothing blew me away but nothing seemed bad so I'm giving it 3 stars.

It's very good modern hotel near to old town (its just a few minute walking) helpful staff (speaking English) good breakfast buffet.

Decent place. Good location. Very close to old City and the fort. Good spacious room. Had two double beds for the family of four. Good breakfast. Well located between the tourist locations and residential. Lot of restaurants nearby.

Was booking for sat in internet and after a booking for receipt I went there 10 minutes later to cancel the booking for sunday. The manager a young lady told me with a smile on her face that this is my mistake and they cant give me back the money even I don't come on Sunday. Hotel booking com told me on the phone that it is the hotels responsability and they feely sorry. I found this manager very unfriendly and it is not fair for the customer. After this experience I will not go in this hotel.

Nice receptionist, room nice and clean but not enough toilet paper, nothing in refrigerator only one bottle of sparking water, not so far from the city.

All right. You can improve the aesthetics. Upon arrival, we met the carts of used clothing through the corridors. And the dining room is a bit small. Very nice. A step from the historic centre.

No free Wi-Fi, no free parking, no free breakfast…

Beautiful rooms, free Patkplätze in underground parking, good breakfast but little seats, because there may be waiting for a freirn table. Very close to the old town.

A couple of years we stayed with my son Erik to visit Salzburg and from advertising near the road we saw the hotel Star Inn Hotel Salzburg Zentrum. The car we saw, that the staff is helping people with expensive cars-Mercedes to carry luggage and even Park the cars in the garage. I got out of the car, because no one saw us and our little Italian car, and I went to reception, where they gave me a card for the garage. Outside we met a young man, when he saw that wonder, as you must do with the garage, responded, I no longer want to translate … The luggage we dragged alone on the stairs, because our garage had no elevator, like that of Germans … The reception a beautiful young lady, gave us room and I realized, that is double. I asked, if they don't have one with single beds and the young lady changed the face, become aggressive … and so we went to the room with our luggage and later stepped outside, entering the wonderful tunel, which bore in the city center. Morning we prepare and we go for breakfast, and as we passed the reception, we hear, calling us strong, the man of the same … "where do you go" German I know talk what is enough, and I said we're going for breakfast … I've seen, that's not so much convinced, but we paid around 160. €. Then breakfast is included! After we went to pay the whole thing, but he treated us like the offenders, what we deserved for nothing …!

Chic hotel! Out of all my current trip is the best.

Loved it! I was there the 2nd time with a group of 24 from Los Angeles and we will go back there again. Everyone was friendly, kind and we had the feeling of being welcomed. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished. The rates are reasonable and it is only 2 minutes to the entrance of the Festival buildings. You have to book early because they are sold out sometimes even the year before. Enjoy your stay.

OK, but not more. Breakfast was not worth the money. Location could have been better.

The big municipal carpark close to this hotel is €14 a day, so it was somewhat surprising to hear the hotel receptionist say that the hotel's private car-park, 'for guests only', is €15 a day. If it was €10 a day, I might have moved the car. Perhaps that's what they wanted. Otherwise: comfortable but spartan rooms; the free Wi-Fi wouldn't work for us; and the hotel appears to have nothing else in it. Mind, with a three minute walk to the city centre, maybe it doesn't need to.

Location near the bus station, very convenient. Also very noisy. Reception warm and thoughtful, well …

I've spent several weeks at the star Inn and am very excited.
The reception is always friendly, the rooms clean, there's parquet floor, no dingy carpet.
Breakfast is absolutely OK.
Location: super. Through the tunnel and it is in the middle of the city
Volume: Very quiet
Business room: 4 floor, there is great room with terrace. It's worth in the summer in any case.
