Small but nice hotel located in a quiet street meters from the Mirabell Palace and its gardens. It is also 10 minutes from the main train station. The room was comfortable and everything was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is varied and good. There is also a well-set living room, bar and garden, where you can enjoy a book or movie, or just hang out. The Internet was working properly.

Good room but there was no air con and the Wi Fi was a bit dodgy at times.

Was there on business with a Colleague and we were both extremely satisfied! Beautiful and clean Rooms, great breakfast Buffet, good Location and friendly Staff. Value for money is more than fine! Highly recommended!

Wonderful Hotel, super centrally located. The new Owners (since 12/2017) are very friendly and accommodating, just like the rest of the Staff.

It's a hotel in itself. I was very outeight what such an old house has to offer. Breakfast was great, of everyone what that. Rooms small but fine. The owners of the hotel are young and very nice, and in the built-up. All over me, it was very much liked at the Hotel Markus Sittikus. To the young people who run the hotel, my room was the 23, for you everything good, I like to come back. LG from Leipzig.

Front staff is not at all friendly infact rude. The amenities provided are too less as compared to prices and other hotels. Not at all reccomended… no fridge. No tea coffee provision in the room. The decor is tooo simple. No steam sauna. No restaurant. Not happy at all…

It is a hotel with great hospitality.

A small and fine city hotel. The historic city centre begins in front of the house door and to walk it in 10min. In front of Mozart's birth house. Young, committed owners who work for the guests. We were thrilled. Also from the small garden in the courtyard incl. A sweet Turtle. ;-)

I highly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is located in a quiet part of the city and a few minute walk from Mirabelle Palace. The rooms are clean and there is a safe in the room. The Wi-Fi was flawless. The front desk staff were very friendly. They gladly assisted me with getting my Salzburg card. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

I went for a middle of the road, family run 4* hotel, Markus Sittikus, which was perfect for me. I am not a city girl so was just enough to be out of the hustle and the bustle when I wanted to be and at night time. The hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. No air conditioning but on request I was given a fan with no hesitation, they also gave me a mug of milk each evening with no quibble and no cost and gave me any information I asked for. Breakfast is offered but no other meals; there are plenty of nice places around within minutes to walk and also a nice coffee shop which is more than a coffee shop and a nice meeting place, got friendly with the staff here too (closed Sundays).
Panama tours are the most popular for Lakes and mountains trip, Sound of Music etc etc and I enjoyed all I went on; if booked at hotel pick up is included, however it really is only a 10 minute walk to where coach picks up and about 10 minutes to Mirabel Gardens and the older part/shopping area of Salzburg.
The hotel arranged airport pickup and return for me.
I loved seeing the garden tortoise when I sat in the hotel garden with my morning coffee.
I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

We stayed for two nights. Check-in, receptionist wasn't very welcoming and in our opinion rude. Room was small, not as nice as what you may see on their web page. We booked a double room with double bed, but we got two single beds placed together, although the beds were comfortable. Breakfast isn't part of room charge so you have to pay separately, which suits many people. The breakfast and dining room is nice and we enjoyed it. Check-out was much more pleasant and we think someone was being trained. This hotel quite a nice walk into main tourist area and very quiet. At night there is no sound at all. Would we stay again? Maybe yes, maybe no. Although not completely happy, we weren't completely disappointed either.

Hotel Markus Sittikus is truly our second home when we travel abroad. We always enjoy our stay here, which began over 30 years ago. Since then, we book our room annually and enjoy the comfort, convenience, and special amenities that make this hotel a very special place. It's a family owned hotel. The Sigl family take meticulous care in providing their guests with everything you would want to make your experience a happy and memorable one. We look forward to returning very soon to capture once again true Austrian hospitality. You will find it in abundance at the Markus Sittikus Hotel! PS. Don't miss the morning breakfast! It's the best!

Hard to review this hotel: the Web page gives the impression of a modern 4-star hotel. Advance the positive things: it was free (Holland) bicycles made available, which however about 300 meters away, to pick up is at the sister hotel,. The location is good close to Central station, Salzach and Mirabellplatz.
To the negative: I was asked after I me completely had set up in the room, to change the room. The new guest rooms dynamic was darker and had no Schreibtish (which I desperately needed), was not being updated. A refund was not offered by the hotel, in demand, it was said several times, that one could not even decide (free breakfast). Embarrassing and petty!
Tip: When reservation on it, make sure that you get a new, bright room.

A wonderful family run hotel I would stay at again in a heart beat. Wonderful staff. The food and hotel itself is very nice. Not big on high end perks but when you balance cost and a wonderful place to stay. A great place! Alan Kwak. Odessa, FL.
