We had a very pleasant stay at the Wolf-Dietrich. The room was clean and comfortable, and having a kettle and fridge was good. (We have found that not all Austrian hotels provide this facility. ) The breakfast was excellent, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. As well, the location in the Old Town was very convenient for sightseeing and the train station.

Delicious breakfast, great location in the city, staff were wonderful and helpful. My kids loved the hotel so much, they wanted to stay! It was modern with charm. They had a pool and spa that was very nice. I brought my 4 children from the US and my parents with my husband and I. My parents wanted a cab since they were older and couldn’t walk as much as us so the hotel got them a limo to go to dinner and the casino. That was the highlight of my parents trip. The location was great for my family. We just walked out the door and went to all the great tourist attractions and water play areas for our kids. Loved the breakfast and apples throughout the day. My favorite was waking up to the town church bells every morning and then opening my window to the beautiful building and flowers.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It is in a great location for the town centre with shops and restaurants close by. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was varied and to suit all tastes. We will come back.

We found the rooms to be spacious, clean and well equipped. We especially liked that we could open the windows. Everything functioned well. Breakfast was excellent — although the coffee could vary from day to day. Location excellent — close to everything but in a quiet location. Would highly recommend.

Church bells ring a lot. No A. C. During our April visit, so 4th floor was a bit stuffy. The staff was friendly. Small clean pool. Very close to food, clothing, beer shops. The breakfast baffet was outstanding.

The hotel has a perfect location, the car park is 50 metres away.
Breakfast is very adequate.
We did not use the wellness area.

Our stay was delightful. Our room was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, gave us great recommendations for dinner. How highly recommend staying here.

Cleanliness OK, bathroom size of first room faulted, immediately received another room, in the first one would not have been possible showers. Shower cubicle 60 × 60. Breakfast is moderate. Intrusive space distribution.

The hotel is in a good location a short walk from the train station and close to the town square. The staff is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English. The breakfast is good with a traditional European style with cold cuts, cheese, fruit, bread, coffee, and also includes scrambled eggs and bacon. Our room was rather small but we did not spend much time in it as there is a lot to see and do in town.

Central location, easy to reach by foot from the train station and the old town is also within walking distance.
Nice staff, clean room, good breakfast.
The only thing "missing" is a gym with a few gadgets, but that doesn't even want everyone.

Stayed here with my in-laws, wife and two daughters. Exceptional service with a great, friendly staff. Views from room were amazing.

I like the hotel's central location and the fact that it has a swimming pool. I was disappointed that the hotel discontinued its afternoon tea and cakes, as that made the place much more cozy. Also it would be nice if there were a bigger table, so it would be easier to work on my laptop. Now the price was rather cheap, but I see that next month it will be around double.

Room reserved in the Hotel 4 * * * * According to the beautiful pictures. Unfortunately the room assigned was in the residence outside the hotel without SPA and a quality of comfort below 3 * * *, but with the same price!.
Not very cooperative staff.
So watch out! If you book in this hotel, the room in the residence is to avoid under penalty of bad surprise!

I had booked this hotel in August for December. The correspondence was very friendly compared to other hotels and the room descriptions were transparent and trusting. This gave the decision to book this and not another hotel, even if it was more expensive.
Express room request, which was also confirmed, separate beds and a spacious room for 4 nights.
What a disappointment on arrival when we found an old and uncomfortable little room that was a real imposition for €180. Upon request at the reception, it was said that the confirmation had been sent by an intern who was no longer present, and the receptionist was unable to give us another room. She got me on the next day when the "boss" was there. This gave other rooms to choose from and we changed, however, still without getting a room with separate beds. According to the chief, this was only possible the next day. On a 3rd room in 4 days we had no desire, so I slept on the sofa, which I consider the price an imposition. Even this room, although more comfortable and nice, was old-fashioned and "dusty" — looking at the pictures on the Internet, it is no comparison at all. The professional images deceive modernity and comfort that we did not get to face. This hotel with such machinations I would never book again.

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel. The location was excellent — easy walking distance to all attractions and excellent restaurants in adjoining street. Our room in the annexe was a good size, clean and modern and well equipped. Good choice of food at breakfast and staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Salzburg.

The room was comfy. We even had a patio as a bonus. The spa was relaxing and the breakfast is tough to beat. Bottomless mimosa! Can't wait to come back.

The room was spectacular and the night clerk upon our arrival on Oct. 1 was so nice. The breakfast staff prepares a great selection and they are very friendly. My mother and I were introduced to Austrian wine at the bar and had a glass in the lobby bar before our taxi arrived. I would stay here again. Thank you so much! Danke Schoen!

Beautiful boutique hotel. Great facilities and very welcoming staff. The location was perfect as it was in walking distance of all that we wanted to see. I highly recommended Hotel Wolf-Dietrich.

Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was great. Lobby nice. Location fantastic. Only downside… our room was not as nice as what was pictured on the website. I'm not sure I actually got the "Superior Double Room" I had booked. But it was clean and we had a place to stay. I'd stay here again, but I'd book the simpler room, because that is what they will give me.

The Hotel Wolf-Dietrich is a good hotel located in the north of Salzburg, close to the Kapuzinerberg and the beginning of the pedestrian zone. The location is so great to visit the city and this, together with the spacious room and the cleanliness, is certainly the greatest value of the hotel.
The breakfast is quite ordinary and a four star expects something more. What annoyed us the most was the nagging diligence with whom, during breakfast, the clerk was concerned to take away the dishes or the cups as soon as these were empty; In some cases we still had the bite in the mouth! Definitely embarrassing!

We stayed there recently and really loved the hotel. The location is great. Easy walk to the old town and easy to get to by bus from the train station. Right around the corner is a great walking shopping district and cute, fun shops directly across the way. Hotel rooms are very nice. Thankfully the weather was cool because our room didn't have air conditioning (except for a fan, which we did use). The staff is very helpful. One day I got completely soaked by a sudden downpour of rain. All I wanted was a nice bowl of soup. One of the staff members told me exactly where to go — right around the corner — and I had the best bowl of soup ever! We also enjoyed the breakfast spread!

Stayed here in August 2014. Lovely place. Easy walk to attractions. Carpark is a bit of a walk from the hotel. Room was cosy and breakfast delicious. Would stay hete again.

We stayed there recently and really loved the hotel. The location is great. Easy walk to the old town, and train station is just over a kilometer away. Right around the corner is a great walking shopping district. Hotel rooms are beautiful, and the A/C is a great luxury. Only downside is we stayed in the suite, and the skylights had no shutters or shades, so when the sun rose around 5 am, main bedroom was too bright and there was no way to sleep in. Absolutely LOVED the breakfast.

Can't praise this hotel enough. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was of an exceptional standard and the breakfast delicious. Cannot fault it a try all. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience.

Wonderful. We're a family trvaelling and we're very experienced trvaellng Europe for business and pleasure. Excellent quality, worth it. Yes, the Wi-Fi works and has excellent signal strength (but heavy users need to reconnect periodically) — we're in one of their apartments around the corner, on the top floor, sumptuous modern and high quality fit-out (VERY new). Two bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom, one Queen bed, other 2 x singles. Balcony faces a stunning rockface which will occasionally be decorated by live tethered climbers doing their thing. Back to the Apt. Perfect, well appointed, quality fittings, free parking in secure multistory lot just around the corner (not bad for centre of an old town! ). All modern conveniences and the bonus is a WORKING entertainment system with iPod doc that works — BOSE in every room. Yes, bevel it. Kids loved it and found all kinds of nooks in this great conversion loft place. Even the art didn't bother me (a rare thing). Salburg is wonderful, and so is this place. Deserves the ratings on G+.

We stayed in the annex across the street from the main hotel and had to walk up three flights of stairs. Finally my teenage son was forced to get exercise! As well as myself. It was very nice, clean, cozy and the staff was really friendly. They had GREAT recommendations for restaurants during the incredibly busy season of the Salzburg Festival (Festspiele Salzburg) which by the way, even if you don't have tickets to anything it's just a blast to hang out and people watch.
