Good hotel, cleaned rooms, nice service. The location is just amazing. 10 minute walk from the city center, plus bus stop is 100 meters away, plus supermarket Spar is just across the road.

For getaway ok. Very simply set up. Breakfast was very good choice. The breakfast room resembled more of a youth hostel and was very noisy.
Very central, there are few parking spaces here.

The rooms are small but clean. The price is very good for a very good located hotel. A lot of sights are close and reachable by foot.

We were at the hotel one night. The room was very clean, the reception seemed a bit disorganized. The beds were fine and comfortable. However, we had the worst breakfast we had ever got in a hotel at this hotel. The buns were completely weird. We had never had such a bad quality put in front of our noses. With the croissants, one could almost have suspected that these were made from the same dough. We hadn't eaten them at all. The salami was probably stored incorrectly, which had dark edges on one side, but was probably not bad because of this. If you really only want the room, you can book this without any problems … But only without breakfast. Parking in the hotel was also far too expensive at 15 euros. There is a fan in the room, as you can't leave the window open at night. The volume on the road is too high.

Excellent location for visiting Salzburg. Right at the heart of the happening old city. Decent and wholesome breakfast too.

Well situated, handy for all parts also trains and buses very comfortable and breakfasts more than enough. Sunday most places closed so good day for exploration.

The service and location are good. Breakfast is fine. The rooms are usually well maintained. I did not like the noise from the bath extractor that turns on when you give the light.

Nice Hotel, all very clean, comfortable beds, warm room, with natural light and ventilation, ample bathroom, shower with screen, abundant breakfast for all tastes with constant reposition, excellent attention. A receptionist speaks Spanish. It has a closed space that overlooks the patio with huge glazed doors where at any time you can take something hot free and there are machines with coins of drinks and cookies. Right in front of a supermarket and a pharmacy. Excellent location, quiet street, close to everything. I loved it.

A perfect hotel for couples, nice location, close to the old town and to the Capuchin mountain. Breakfast is very extensive and versatile and the rooms are more than adequately spacious. The staff is super nice and everyone please come in, really accommodating.
At the time of booking, specify in any case if you want to have a double bed.

To stay a few days, see the city and walk around the old town is nice. Clean rooms and breakfast varied. To get to know Salzburg is very good value for money.

Were in February 2018 in this hotel, very nice staff, room and everything else very clean. Breakfast also very tasty, the ladies very attentive u pay a lot to fill it up and keep the breakfast room clean. All the sights are within walking distance, street is not heard when the window is closed. Great city trip with lots of shopping opportunities and lots of sightseeing. We'll be back in September! Very convenient house with simple but modern rooms. The biggest advantage is the very central location at very moderate prices. The breakfast buffet is good and sufficient.

I booked this hotel for 2nights. I requested for early check in but was not given room at 12:30 pm as well. I booked a room with balcony but I was given low budget cheap room. After requesting them to chage room we have been told hotel is full and change is not possible. Rooms are old and uncomfortable with no proper heating. On complaining about heating, I was asked to get electric heater. Toilet door in the room did not close. Best part about hotel is the location as it is near to all tourist attractions. Also, there is a Tea area which is open 24 hrs and has collection of different tea.

Hard to express my disappointment with this place. Apart location everything else is bad. Rooms are small, some rooms have no heating, so we had to ask for electrical heater. Only amenities were two small bars of soap. Shower is half open and can't be closed. Minibar does not exist and staff considers a smile luxury that guests are not allowed to have. Only exception were cleaning stuff that shared smiles and helped when possible. Breakfast is decent but nothing special. Hard to believe this is hotel, rather than hostel.

Great value for money and location.

Excellent hotel for the price. Yes it was the cheapest room for my 3 night stay in Salzburg, but it was located right next to the main pedestrian walkway towards to river. Service was excellent but to the point, it's not the Ritz! Room was compact but had everything I needed. Perfect for the price. Breakfast was an added bonus. Two thumbs up!

I spent three days, enough to see Salzburg. The receptionist asked me if I wanted the room with a terrace, I said yes and then I was nailed €80 more for the nonsense. Towards — 10 degrees so I don't take much advantage of it either. Not worth taking with terrace. The hotel is not bad.

Be careful if you are travelling alone! The worst and most horrible hotel ever. The reception just arranged another man to the same room with me! How could that even happen? I just had a shower and was lying on the bed and this man came in with a room card! The door of this hotel can’t be locked from inside and has no peep-hole. Very unfriendly! What if I wasn’t in the room, is it that anyone can come in and out freely? The receptionist is very rude, only said “sorry, please understand us. ” Which I totally can’t. I wrote complaint email to hotel manager and got no response. Worst hotel ever! Plus, the facilities are so simple and the price is too high.

Hotel comfortable and clean, TV only in German, and in reception if it speaking a little in Spanish, and the breakfast good. And in the bathroom lack of space for the things of toilet.

Great place to eat. Classic Austrian restaurant with very nice and helpful staff. They also spoke Italian. Recommended.

It's a lovely little hotel. Room are okay but if you got one of the room facing the road, it can be loud especially early in the morning. This is my 2nd visit. During the first stay (2016) I gotten the garden side of the room, which is quiet. But I didn't enjoy the stay as much this year. The location is just good, just a few minutes walk and you're in the center of Salzburg old town area. The breakfast has good choices of cold cuts and some muesli or cake, as well as scrambled eggs or hard boiled eggs.

Great location, really nice and accommodating receptionists here. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel, pharmacy and supermarket across the street which made it even better.

Peaceful neat and clean. Good and humble staff. Good breakfast. Near to market and other places. But no AC. Rooms were small. But very nice and comfortable stay. I will recommend to others.

Breakfast was average for the area, is nice that it is included in the night package though. Service is always happy to help. Rooms are cozy but don't have any AC so you might have to prop open a window. Overall neat place.

Hotel ideally located at the edge of the pedestrian, easily accessible by car, close to the centre, with a parking (15 €/d). Well-kept rooms, hearty breakfasts.

The hotel was extremely nice. Very clean, and a very helpful staff. However, they advertised a ten minute walk from the train station, when in reality it's closer to 15.20 minutes if you have heavy bags (which I did). Yet, it was close to many of the sights which was great! I only give 4 stars because the walking distance was different than expected. Totally recommend this hotel though!

The people are very kindly! the best choice in Salzburg!

In the evening I set my cell phone alarm, placed it in the middle of the desk in room 325, and connected it to one of the two power outlets for charging. In the early morning hours I woke up because my smart phone made funny sounds. I find it in the middle of the table in a puddle of water. The mobile phone does not survive the water damage. We later determined that everything was wet: The ceiling above the table (the paint or wallpaper is all curled from the moisture), the wall next to the table, and also the window sill behind the table are all soaking wet … just like all our belongings which were near where the water had collected overnight. The hotel refused to compensate me in any way for the damage: a complete loss of my beautiful 400 EUR Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Quiet and comfortable hotel. Located near the city center, pedestrian street, we were able to do most of our walking tours. Excellent in french. Room cleaned every day; very discreet staff. Breakfast was good.

Rooms don't have AC and the hotel is on the busy road… So forget a peaceful sleep here.

We were over the Christmas holidays in the Hotel Hofwirt. The Hotel was fully booked, however, everything has to fit. The location is great. Right on the pedestrian area. There are only a few minutes walk to the old town. The room was clean and cozy. The Breakfast very tasty. The Wi-Fi has runs smoothly. Again and again gladly!

Small and cosy hotel. It is located on the other bank of the river from the old city, but it is about 15 minutes walk along pedestrian street and across the bridge. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. The neighbourhood is very quiet, I never heard a sound from the street. There are some places of interests just near the hotel — St Sebastian's Cemetery and the entrance to the Kapuzinerberg. Free Wi-Fi, excellent breakfasts.

In advance to all Whiners: the Hofwirt in Salzburg is a house with three (3) stars (2013). By the good location at the end of the pedestrian zone, one is in no time at all the sights. The Hotel is spacious, offers functional, peaceful rooms (ladies: YES, with hair dryer) and in the morning a rich Breakfast buffet. Price / performance / location: Very good!

Hotel near the center and discreet. We had, however, an unpleasant welcome. Maybe because we got dressed up as cyclists. The lady at the reception, after we got to the bench, he continued to joke with his colleague and only when he felt like it gave us a straight looking at us in a bad way. For this reason, we did not liked it!
