Accommodation was beautiful lovely room cleaned and bed made everyday excellent food our stay was beautiful a lovely view of sea outside bedroom window only l suggestion TV needs channel 32for movies or CD player otherwise a great stay 🍷

Had dinner last night. The fire alarm went off and we all had to evacuate and wait to be let back in until it was sorted by the victor fire fighter crew. Just wanted to say how well the staff managed through the situation and how quickly food came out and staff had everything sorted once we were all let back in. Food was good, had a good selection of vegetarian/vegan options too. Thanks!

What a wonderful place to have a 91st birthday lunch for my mother. The staff, Stuart, Kelsey, Keely and Tyson were absolutely fantastic providing friendly professional service. The food was yummy too. 💚✅

The staff were lovely but clearly short handed, received our starter garlic bread almost immediately but after 55mins our mains had still not been served and we were the last of a handful of tables still with customers. Ended up cancelling and getting a refund for our entire order. Not at all the wait staff's fault, management appeared to have badly understaffed today despite the likely impact of higher visitor numbers due to the SA tourism voucher promotion, and the beautiful classic car show on display on the lawn area right outside the hotel.

The rooms are modern and tastefully decorated. There is plenty of tea and coffee plus lots of sugar and milk. Very, very clean.

First time since Covid 19 of eating out in a pub environment & the food was lovely & awesome service.

The Hotel Victor is my preferred out of the local pubs (/sorrynotsorry) in regards to atmosphere, how easy and comfortable it is to navigate and order, and the menu and meal quality. It's good for a drink, it's good for a casual meal in the cafe, it's good for a special occasion. The staff, in my experience, cannot be faulted. I was disappointed the all-you-can-eat buffet style in the dining room was short lived, but also pleasantly surprised at the renovations to the area beyond the toilets and smokers room which I hadn't really heard about — there is a small stage for live bands, it's much more open, and there's a second bar back there too although not a huge amount of places to sit if most aren't inclined to dance. It's excellent to see a local business that is growing and innovating and trying to capture the younger crowd also.

Stayed here one night 4/8/2018 Room was clean tidy & the king size bed was very comfy, However, I was aware of the live music on a Saturday night with a finish time of 12.30 am all good, but the live music went until 2 am NOT ACCEPTABLE. The room reverberated and the loud repetitive music kept us awake. I complained with other unknown guests in the morning, this seems like a weekly occurrence. I emailed the General Manger directly & pretty much was told verbatim "we do not understand why guests stay, when they have been informed, if they are going to complain about the music". I guess I wont be going back. Seems like all complaints are treated with "LIP SERVICE". BTW — Breakfast was fantastic.

The staff were fantastic despite the bistro being closed due to staff issues. Food was fresh and delicious.

Nice rooms, bathrooms need an upgrade, avoid Friday and Saturday night as they have live music. Didn't like that I would have to go to the restaurant to order room service. Great location but get a room with a view.

Music on a Saturday is an understatement, it is so loud from the band and patrons that things vibrate and it feels as though they are on the other side of the hotel room door. As I write this at midnight, the ‘entertainment’ isn’t going to slow down any time soon. We wore thongs (flip flops) in the shower due to the build up or dirt and goodness knows what that is embedded on the floor and wall tiles and grout. This is a long night and we will need the comfort of our own beds again tomorrow to recover, so much for a relaxing night. Stay away if sleep is wanted.

Refurbished really nice in certain sections of the bar. Also had live music which is nice.

Nice place to catch up. Food is ok but nothing special. Forget it if you are looking for gluten free options. They used to try but not any more.

We have been frequent visitors for years and have enjoyed the carvery. I made a booking for 15 people tonight with the new bistro menu. We all went up and paid for our meals. 4 meals did not come out and when we queried when they were coming the lady said more were coming. They never came and after 15 minutes of arguing over our lost meals they reluctantly gave us our money back. We will not be going back.

Highly disappointed with the service at the bistro of Hotel Victor tonight. We are regulars and for a sole parent, spending nearly $100 per time is a big deal for us. Tonight I ordered the Seafood Plate and got a sub standard butterfish (can find at any fish n chip shop), a few prawns and soft shell crab where the meat was non-existent. Then Martin made me wait in awkward silence for around 5 mins at the order counter without any “I’ll be with you in a moment” or any other courteous acknowledgment, and then when he was ready to take my order, just said a blunt “right”. No “how can I help you? ”… then he got our order wrong which we had to wait more than half an hour for (just a simple ice cream dessert). I like to keep it local and have a special night out with my son from time to time, but the level of service and food was quite disappointing for the money paid. Hope it is better next time.

We decided to go there as a family to have lunch together. It took a long time (about thirty minutes) for our food to come to us only finding out they've mucked up our order, and expected us to pay for their mistakes. Got ignored TWICE when we went to order drinks. After a while convincing the staff to not make us pay for their mistake we get the meals that were missed within ten minutes (probably gave us someone else's food). The food tasted good but is now making us sick. Certainly not visiting this place again after our experience and clearly seeing the lack of interest from the staff whos working here.

Great place to stop for a while. Friendly staff, great food. Watching the Tour Down Under our the front was fantastic while enjoying a beer. Hotel rooms are nice clean and modern as well.

We attended Hotel Victor for dinner and it was amazing. The smorgasbord was one if the best I've ever experienced.

The food was not as good as I expected… ordered a steak sandwich, and I am sure they just used a slice of the roast for the meat. I understand it was a slow roast poterhouse steak, but I just didnt feel like there was a steak in the sandwich. The staff were nice and friendly and the location is great.

Smorgasbord is fantastic value and very very good food Would recommend to friends.

Have just booked three months of functions with these guys because they go above and beyond. Everything I asked for for my function and more was delivered. Even got a doggy bag of my lunch because it was noticed as the speaker and organiser that I didn't get a chance to eat. Amazing!

Perfect hotel. Absolute prime location. Beach front view. Price is very affordable. Highly reccomended. I know where ill be coming when my christmas break from work starts.

Really disappointed! Came down to Victor on SteamRanger. Was told we couldn't book for the cafe weeks ago, which was an issue since we had limited time and they were packed. Waited for ten minutes to get into the restaurant instead. Then waited twenty minutes to order at the counter. Was told it was too busy to make cocktails, which was the main reason we had picked this hotel in the first place. Saw other staff making cocktails soon after this for other tables! Food ok, but limited meat portion given on the carvery. Clearly needed more staff for a busy Saturday night.

My partner, his parents, & I dined here last Friday. We ordered the meals at 2pm and was told we couldn't use the entertainment card, after driving to dine hear and having checked the details on the voucher previous this was very disappointing. Accordingly, we were charged $88 for our lunch (of 3 meals), not including drinks! Of the 3 meals we ordered each one came out wrong. And they were simple orders; pizza (no BBQ sauce… It came covered in BBQ sauce), Steak meal (no mash, instead chips… it came with only chips, no sauce (as requested) or veg, as stated on the menu) & a steak special with chips and salad (as written on the menu) with the addition of gravy… it came with mash and veg and no gravy. After waiting 45minutes to get the food we didn't have time to re order. We notified staff of the mistake to which there was no apology, nothing. We live on the fleurieu peninsula and will not be returning even to use our 25% discount voucher.

Wonderful Friendly Staff. Very Clean throughout. Lovely view. Excellent Roast Dinner in Restaurant. We had a delightful 2 Day/Night stay. Went to Cirque Africa also Beautiful Fleureau Aquatic Centre. State of the Art Gymnasium, Lap Pool plus Hydrotherapy Pool n Spa. We both really Enjoyed our mini Escape! Thank U Hotel Victor. Geoff n Gilda Murch.

Food was excellent. The deserts are extrenely well presented and staff friendly.

The carvery was good, though a bit expensive for the kids meal carvery. Generous serves of meat with the carvery. The turkey was great with gravy. Though they were slow to replace trays that had run out and bread rolls. Those who ordered a la carte meals waited for a very long time (over an hour), which made for an awkward dinner as thosr who ordered carvery were completely finished well before the a la carte meals came out.

It's really 2.5 star review. Pros — staff were friendly and cool and the location is good, views not bad. Clean room. Cons — Queen bed was two singles pushed together, not comfy. Room is very small without any real facilities. Bathroom is super dated. Night entertainment isn't bad on a Friday or Saturday night, unless you actually want to sleep or chill and watch tv… which is pretty average.

Menu was a bit lacking — a bit more variety and burgers with more toppings would have been great. But the meal that I did get was fantastic.

Had a large group for a special dinner to celebrate a special occasion. From the minute we walked in the door we were welcomed and accommodated for beautifully with excellent service. The craft beers in the front are splendid and the meals in the back are sensational. Would highly recommend to interstate and local visitors to this historic region of the earth.
