Quiet and quirky with good facilities and an easy walk into town.

Was a little lost when I first arrived in Alice Springs, but when I called Alice's Secret, Seb was so friendly and welcoming, he made me feel at ease. The surroundings are so peaceful, rooms clean and all with the very personal touch. Everyone here is friendly, it's a wonderful atmosphere.

A little place of paradise! great experience! the staff is really nice and very generous to its occupants. Mention for Seb who helped us with our car problems I recommend! surely the best hostel in Alice. Danke für alles.

Alice's Secret was rated five stars on TripAdvisor, so I booked my last night in Alice Springs, here, before I left California, because I had to see what a five star hostel looked like. It was a delight, at the edge of the ephemeral Todd River, in its own protected compound. I booked Seb's Alpine Cabin, a cozy cabin with a great heater (the nights were 32°F, 1°C), incandescent lighting and all the outlets needed for recharging. The best and most unexpected thing happened after dark when I walked outside my room… uplifting my heart and spirit… but I won't tell you what it was. You have to go to Alice's to find out…

Close to Alice' CBD. Super friendly staff. Unique atmosphere, absolutely individualistic furniture you will remember.

This is a small paradise! Very well decorated and with a beautiful garden. Only 10 minutes walking from Alice Spring's main street. The staff is very kind, a special thanks to Andrea who helped us with a late check-in.

A quirky happy little place. Cheap, clean, friendly no noise/no party hostel. Peaceful garden with lots of places to soak up the sun and trees and birdsong.

A great quiet and cozy hostel with comfortable rooms and clean facilities. There are a lot of places to lounge around including a pool and hammocks. Also the decorations are some of the best I've seen at a hostel.

What an awesome place to stay a while. Seb and Mirian could not accommodate anymore than they did. Magical atmosphere in back courtyard of a night with lighting and eclectic mix of travellers from all corners of the globe. We met Germans, Frenchies, Aussies, Austrians, Swiss, Italians, South Koreans and Chinese and had a wonderful home away from home. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a break away from home. Communal kitchen is expansive, TV room is quiet, loved the BBQ (cooked on it nearly every night), more than adequate bathroom facilities and laundry and clothes lines were well used. Backyard seating and hammocks were were used. Loved the quirky, unique rooms, the extent to which they recycle and that all kitchen scraps are fed to their hens. Just far away from the CBD that you can get there with a quick walk. Seb and Miriam thank you and well done. This traveller will return and sing your praises to all who will listen.

Arrived in AS after a long drive through the outback, Seb and Miriam were life savers letting me stay 2 nights on very short notice! Miriam was great in helping me figure out places to go around Alice springs which was awesome. Seb had a look at my car before setting off to Adelaide and spent time helping me with it which I am still very grateful for. A great hostel run by great people, thanks again guys. Oh yeah and they have 2 cats and 3 chickens!

An amazing place in Alice Springs, perfect to rest after a hard day in the heat. Rooms, toilets and kitchen are clean, the garden and pool beautiful and the staff just great. I wouldn't go anywhere else in town.

Very beautiful garden and brightly painted rooms. Mattress was very old and uncomfortable (with hole), hence 3 stars.

I really enjoyed my stay there, the rooms are nice and clean, the facilities are also great and the swimming pool is really nice and moreover in a place with such weather. They offer tours to Urulu and kings canyon which I found really great. In general was a really pleasent experience.

Just the best hostel I've ever been to! The atmosphere is so special, the people are warm and nice. In every room you find so many little lovely details. Unique place!

Wonderfull, relaxing and peaceful place. Room are with aacc, ald all the hostel is super nice decorated. Not tell u the secret of the garden… you need to figure it out for yourself. Marcel, the manager, is a lovely and very kind person. I had a wonderfull time here.

Awesome Place, very frendly owners! Perfect Place to stay in Alice Springs for a couple of days. Alice Secret is one of the best hostels i've stayed in australia, clean rooms, showers and toilets. The garden is perfect to chill out in the pool or relax in one of their hammocks. Highly recommend it!

Clean, well located hostel/hotel walking distance from downtown Alice springs. Helpful staff to assist with booking trips out to uluru. Clean rooms and facilities. Couldn't ask for more!

I loved staying at this hostel… many people stay for a long time and it's a community more than anything. The place is always clean; the staff is friendly; the owner is even friendlier; they have an amazing pool; there's loads of games in the communal area and the outdoors is very chill out and green. Totally loved it!

We spent one night in this fantastic and original hostel.
As soon as you enter you will find a hostel where you can notice the originality of the place, a gorgeous garden with numerous relaxation areas and swimming pool.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
It is in a great location, you can walk to the center and the best pubs/restaurants.

Very cosy and cute little hostel near the Alice Springs CBD. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and amenities are very clean and the bed is super comfy. Only downside is that the walls of the rooms are very thin. All in all it was a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful hostel on the east side. Easy access to the centre. Friendly staff at reception. The garden is amazing at night. Sleeping in the bus was really cool :)

I got locked out at 8pm (my own fault, I forgot to bring the pin number with me to get into the front gate). But I am giving the hostel 1 star because I called three times and the reception was not available. All my calls got converted into text messages and I did not hear back from them. I tried yelling out but nobody could hear me. Luckily I was able to get a room at the Chifley Hotel next door. Anyway my suggestion to the hostel is that they write the pin number on the key tags. Given that I have not been able to contact anyone who works there, I wont recommend this hostel as I think this is a safety issue. You're better off paying extra money for a room at the hotel next door.

Nice rooms, beautiful outdoor area with hammocks a nice pool and amazing lights all around the grass and trees at night. Well run and great facilities made for a great stay.

Really relaxed, friendly and quirky place, very close to town, very cutely and humourously decorated with plenty of well thought-out spaces and nooks perfect for nestling. It's also clean and orderly courtesy of the lovely (and hilariously typically German) manager :p While I stayed here they organised generous dinners for a very reasonable price. Perfect after adventuring around Alice!

Stayed here for one night (booked for two), the guy who runs / ran this place is a serious weirdo. Avoid at all costs.

Staying here. Is it easy. This place is infected with mice. They are (which is as dirty) as well as the room in the kitchen, I literally could not sleep due to hear they scratch to someone's pocket. None of them spoke to a number of other travelers had mice in their hostels while Wayne works Alice's secret is trying to tell you, there is a problem in the whole of Alice Springs. Seriously, I take care you do not usually write reviews, but my experience here was so bad, I had to this time. There are way better, cleaner place. Try the YHA or haven. Toddies has also mice and Annie's place is notorious for bugs. Hope this helps.

Alice's Secret is only a 5 minutes walk from the main street. Packed with funky art, a beautiful garden with a sparkling pool. Nice free brekkie and free Wi-Fi. More like a family then a hostel. Very quiet, not a party hostel. Great vibe, nice people, easy to make friends. Owner speaks Japanese (and many other languages). Great tours available, also very off the beaten track ones. Great evening meals (home made) for only $7 Clean.
