I stayed in Mackay's Motel Northview twice during the last week. The Owners and their whole family work hard and look after the Motel and its Guests day and night. They were very helpful all the time and constantly provided service with a genuin smile. They were most obliging and accommodating during my stay. For me personally, it was very important that the Motel is Pet-friendly, as I was travelling with my Puppy, on this occasion. They prepared for me a fantastic breakfast with poached eggs of a 5-star Hotel quality. And on top of everything, their Room prices are very competitive. I enjoyed my stay there very much and have no reservations to recommend this very nice Motel to any and all travellers. Thank you for making my stay at your Motel such a pleasant experience.

Great family run business. Good value for money and picturesque views. We booked a single room on the run, needed pet friendly and affordable. They gave us a great pet friendly room for less than $100 and made us feel more welcomed than a cheap chain ever could. We loved the service and the other guests with pets and children echoed our sentiments. You just don't get service like this anymore.

Well, this may not be your super luxury 5 star pimped and glorious grand hotel, it is rather basic really. However, what it misses in modern luxuries it gains in coziness and amazing service you get from the owners working day and night to make you feel just like at home. Rooms cleaned at late ours of the night when you are away, amazing breakfast cooked when you asked for it (oh, those omelets), owners helping to get around town… list of little things that make all the difference when you are away from home and your comfort zone goes on and on. Our group stayed here for several days and I think we got really lucky to have Margaret and Tony as our hosts. Very much recommend this place to anyone.

Was unreal nice place to stay and very helpful.

We have just stayed 2 nights on 22nd and 23rd February 2016 and we found everyone very lovely and helpful and did whatever they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. A special 'Thank You' to Tony for taking us to the church and the airport, much appreciated. Also, the breakfasts were hot and delicious. Bill and Kaylene, Brisbane.

We just stayed at this motel after a drive from Port Douglas. The owners were very accommading the room was really clean and comfortable at a great price.
