Great motel — happy they don't allow pets.

Refuses accommodation to a veteran with a service dog and also said they would refuse accommodation to a seeing eye dog. Ignorant of the law. Poor customer service and all round disappointing humans.

Overall a really nice place to stay.

Great atmosphere, delish food, awesone music and heaps of space for the kids to play!

Dinner was very nice best calamari ive had in a long time and the rib fillet was beautiful.

We recently had our wedding at the Windmill. The managers and staff were amazing! Upon arrival we immediately felt reassured that we were in good hands. On our big day staff and management even assisted with decorating and cake assembly! We were extremely happy with the food that Chef provided and the bar service was excellent. Our rooms were comfortable and well maintained. We highly recommend the Windmill Motel and Events Centre. Thank you!

The perfect venue for our wedding! Excellent service, and delicious food! No request for our day was too big or too small. A massive thank you to Racheal and the team for helping make our day so special.

Stayed here for one night, during our stay the Wi-Fi was not working, and the toilet in the room was dirty, however, staff were nice and cooperative.

An enjoyable stay. Dinner and breakfast were nice.

Clean, neat and tidy. Ideal location 2mins from the service station and motorway. Only downfall is no microwave.

We had our wedding at the Windmill on the 7th of April. I cannot say enough wonderful words about the team at the Windmill. Rachael the function manager was amazing to deal with, very organised and made planning our wedding relatively stress free. We also had the weather to contend with (Cyclone Iris) and the Windmill had back up plans for all eventualities. Finally, the food that was provided for our wedding by the Chef and staff was fantastic our guests were very happy. Thank you again for all your amazing hard work for making our special day run so smoothly.

Try to book room. Plenty room just come in. When I arrived. Sorry we are full. 8.11pm need to find another place. My experience les than one star.

Very nice hotel with a host that takes the time to remember your name. Wifi that is actually usable. A pool and enough parking for trucks as well.

Good food good service and close to a wide variety of shops.

A really nice place to break up a long drive. Nice big and clean rooms. Can park car right at the door. Lovely staff. Nice dining room and bar or super yummy meals brought to your room. Nice pool to relaxe in. BBQ and covered recreation area, pool table, tennis court and basketball hoop. Handy laundry facilities. Very cool air-conditioning for those hot days. Free Austar for movies and sport. Free Wi-Fi. All I could ask for while getting car repairs done at a mechanic close by. Thanks Windmill, I will certainly be stopping in again.

Thank you to the New Manager Ian & fantastic staff for a wonderful night out at your restaurant on Saturday. Great easy going atmosphere & Amazing food. We were recommended to try this restaurant & were definitely not disappointed (thanks Denise Hof). OMG the pork belly & duck spring rolls entrees sooooo good. We'll be back for sure. Kelly & David.

Great friendly staff, very helpful and respectful of our needs, restaurant was great and the food was so delicious. Our room was well equiped and clean.

Stayed here as a stopover on a two day road trip up to North Qld. The clean rooms and friendly, attentive staff made our stay highly enjoyable. Already booked the same room for our return trip.

We stayed for just one night but what a great place. Kids loved the pool and outdoor areas. Rooms are tidy and spacious. Close to everything. Great price and awesome breakfast!

My favorite accommodation in Mackay. I travel to Mackay a lot for business and really enjoy this motel. Just outside of town on the northside — nice and quiet. Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Service is always super friendly. Highly recommend.

Stayed one night while passing through. Very pleased that we picked here for our stop. Great staff that could not have been freindler. Room was large with everything you couple require. We had a delicious room service meal for tea and top breakfast before departing. Highly recommended.

Felt at home with a bit of fine dining as I have 4 kids under the age of 6, definitely recommend as I will return.

Lovely atmosphere and calming view. Stairs a bit steep in the execurive apartments. Nice light and setup. Quiet despite close highway.

I attended a catered conference recently at this facility and was impressed. The food was lovely and the staff catered to dietary needs of others. The only let-down was that the lighting wasn't able to be adjusted which made reading and looking at the projector quite straining by days end. Overall however this is a great confrrence facility.

Service was friendly. Location is far from town (Mt Pleasant). Room was clean.

Thank you windmill and all your wonderful caring staff for my wedding day 12th sep 2015 everything was perfect and food was amazing and ceremony and reception was exactly how I had imagined! Rachel is an angel nothing was a problem she kept me calm and helped with all the little things that pop up on the day that you cannot plan for she picked up where others failed and went above and beyond with the other windmill staff. I had tears in my eyes when they said it's time to go as my perfect day came to an end as it was so perfect! We took over the deck bar many rooms all the car parks and reception room everyone had a great time and seriously enjoyed themselves. Everyone should get married at the windmill to experience perfection!

We are staying in one of the luxury apartments, Not very luxury! Decor very tired, ac, broke twice, extractor in bathroom not working, no attempt made to mend it. Tiny ants everywhere, no attempt to spray. Bed the worst I have ever slept in and too small. And we are not overweight people. We have travelled the world, and this place is by no means luxury.

We stayed in the penthouse spa suite, the room was beautiful and very nicely appointed. 2 negatives. The spa took over 3 hours to fill, with just a dribble coming from the tap. If we'd been alerted beforehand we might have spent time during the afternoon filling it before our wedding. Secondly, the bed was very hard, not a good sleep.
