The penthouse was dated, overall it was dirty. With covid 19 being rampant, we expected the standard of hygiene to be a lot higher than what we found. The floors were sandy, dirt deposits at the bedside, skirting boards dusty, the bathroon sinks and showers were not clean and a limited amount of towels available for the guests. Complimentary soaps were limited. No lightbulbs to the bedside lamps, unsuitable glasses to drink from. Screws sticking out from a chair in a dangerous position and outside chairs torn and unsafe to sit on. totally disappointed.

What ever apartment you are in you get ocean views, and the views are spectacular. There is nothing that you would need here, two pools, outdoor and indoor, spa and sauna and tennis court. You feel very safe as you need a fob key for all entries. Close walking to everything you would need and a bus stop just outside the building. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Best self contained apartment ever — quiet.

A great location and fabulous apartments. With all the convenience of home, comfortable bed, great kitchen so you can cook in or go out if you like.
Just a short walk to the beach or to the shops or restaurants. Best of all the reception team are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place and will be back again next year.

The view is to die for and close to the beach, but I didn’t realise it was a holiday apartment. The complex is outdated. Elevator had a smell. The carpet in my room was dirty and sticky. The aircon was not in the bedroom. I had to sleep with the door open and aircon in TV room on full blast to flow into my room, especially staying over 2 nights 32 degree days. No room service. You have to take your own garbage out of the room to the garbage room. Not worth the money.

Fantastic location, beautiful view! Family friendly, we had an amazing time will definitely be back again.

Great location… Walking distance to town and right by the beach.

It was clean and tidy it had a great view out to the beach however there were ropes ++ (re painting) which we were not informed of. The toaster did not work, the dishwasher did not work and the car park was so tiny that when a 4wd parked next to use we had to climb thru the passenger seat. I gave it 3 stars because of the lovely helpful staff.

Older style Apartment, however, very clean and nicely furnished, in fact it was so comfortable, we could have lived there. Spectacular views, very quiet. The hot tub and heated pool was awesome. Superb location, but a bit of a walk to nearest tram stop. Thoroughly recommend it.

The only thing this place had going for it was it's location. The unit I stayed in was extremely dated decor, dusty and dissappointing. The carpet had stains and the furniture was very poor. There was no shelf in the shower so all toiletries had to be put on the tiled shower floor. Towels were sparse. No facewashers and only one hand towel. The sound system did not work, the speakers were broken. Bed blanket and bedspread looked like they were 20plus years old… disgusting. Fake plants and trees added to the dated dusty decor. Apartment 17 … basically horrible. Then there was the the renovating of the apartment next door… jack hammering for hours on end, the noise was so disturbing, I phoned to reception to ask how long would I have to put up with it. Hours and hours. Why in the off season would you allocate a unit to someone knowing that the unit directly next door was going through renovation! The sign outside said Vacancy. Extremely dissappointed with the unit I was allocated. Last refurbished possibly 1980.

Showers are full of mold growth from the bottom of the glass screen to the top and soap scum felt very dirty, main bathrooms are very old and require a full update, thinner blankets are all mixed match with bucolic fluids stained in them. Other then that location is great!

Awesome location, wonderful service and a view to die for. Our apartment was fully renovated with all the mod cons, will be back for sure. Thanks Ling and Alex at reception very helpful and polite.

Stayed on level 12. Great views, great place to stay. Very handy to beach, short walk to broad beach shops and tram station.

Absolutely disgusting customer service, Alex the so called manager and owner yelled at us over the phone when we tried to cancel our booking and still took money from our account. Would never ever deal with them again. Beware people he is a nasty rude person.

For a short or long stay at the gold Coast you can't go past Ocean Royale very clean and comfortable with beautiful ocean views.

Stayed in Unit 51 on the top floor, loved it.

We had a great weekend and the view is lovely however we asked 5 times before booking if it was aircon and told yes only to arrive and have no air con. We called reception which went to a call centre and they said someone will be there in an hr. We waited and waited and waited, no call and no fix so I called back and put on hold half hr to be told no u have to wait until tomorrow when the manager can be bothered. There was so much dust and dirt in the rooms it clearly hadn't been wiped in a year with cup marks on side table and soap scum in bathroom and urine ring in toilet. The spatula had mould growing off it, the toaster and dryer didn't work. There was no complimentary wine as promised on arrival and no present at the end as stated to make up for no air con. Great spot and we had a great time but those things annoy me. U pay for air con. Get the air con! Seems like good service is hard to find these days I rarely hear myself saying great job, fantastic. The rare occasion u do get 10/10 u feel as though u should kiss their feet and tip great $ bcos it's so hard to come by. Rant over.

Wonderful unit, amazing view and close to shops and beach. Pools are great, and the provision of buckets and spades to take to the beach was a lovely touch and most appreciated by my kids. Staff are lovely, and even took the time to get in contact with me after we had left to let me know that my son had left his teddy bear behind. We will definitely be back!

The best service the best staff best views clean room family friendly with children lots of information available for all ages discount on dinner and lunch deals at some restaurants what can I say I have been going there for more than 10 years and I would not go anywhere else.

I called to asked about extra sheets so my 9 yr old daughter could sleep on sofa and was advised would have to "pay extra 90 dollars a night for a trundle bed". I said no and then 'customer service' person on phone snapped "are you having more people stay in room? " with a lot of suspicion In her voice. We have already paid 270 a night for 3 nights and I am disappointed about trip before I have even gone. I said another adult would stay behind and no go and she stared laughing. I said "it is not like any of us have never been to Gold Coat before". She was laughing and her tone of voice was rude. Poor form.

Early check in late check out. We were given an extra car space for both nights. The views were great and the spa/ pool nice. Thanks.

We had marvelous ocean views from the apartment. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were clean and newly renovated. We didn't need the airconditioning at this time of the year as the sea breeze kept the apartment cool. Staff were friendly, when they were actually at the front desk! It's a kilometre walk to the main Broadbeach hub, but just next to the beach. Wonderful experience, would go back again.
