I had the yummiest lunch today, the meal sizes are massive and Gary is such a funny fantastic host. Favourite place to eat in Maryborough ❤️

Over the years I’ve spent a lot of time here. Last night has changed my mind about the treatment of their patrons. I was within earshot of management speaking badly about several patrons, even using the ‘C’ word. There was even shoving by management, to females, which is physical abuse. What the hell…

13/12/21 This was my first and last visit. The bar staff were rude, aggressive and huffy when asked for anything. When asked about food at 2:30, they looked at you like you were an idiot and almost laughed, children attending the wake after a funeral were agressively pounced upon and yelled at, for stepping within a meter of the bar even when supervised by several adults. The children, who had no intention of being near the bar stools or touching the bar — just being in the proximity was enough to elicit attitude and hostility. Seriously, they were shocking, it seemed to be such an effort for them even when you were ordering alcohol which clearly WAS their job, it was an annoyance for them when you ordered drinks as as we had a large crowd it was too much work for them they clearly didn't like serving so many people. Heaven help you if you spilt something, which was met with a condescending attitude and even more hostility. The only good thing. Was the Cafe staff were absolutely brilliant! can't appreciate them enough.

Improve in your customer service! nasty and short tempered with no humility and compassion. My family used your restaurant as a safe place for a wake, but was treated with 0 respect and was very rude, short and snappy. You've just lost many many customers! praise to the Cafe staff though. They were the ONLY kind people who worked there. Shame on you.

Excellent welcoming service to everyone old, young, even a couple of disabled, all treated and served with the utmost respect.

Right from first contact for accommodation, we have been impressed by this establishment! The room we’ve been allocated for wheelchair accessibility is perfect and our meal in the bistro was top notch with very attentive caring staff providing brilliant service! We are keeping this place on our list for future stays!

Has been sooo long since we have found a decent dine out place that we have both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
We can't recommend The Carriers Arms highly enough. The service was of a high standard, the food was absolutely awesome and the dining experience is what will make us drive regularly from Childers. Knowing we will not be disappointed 10/10

With the best draught beer on tap in Queensland. But it's the bar staff that go beyond and above that make you feel at home. That's why I call the carrier's arms my home — with Ashley Palmero.

Myself and my partner just had lunch in the bistro. Firstly, I believe his name to be Gary, was so accomodating, welcoming and friendly the second we walked in the door. This made our dining experience so much better! We had a chicken parmy, and a chicken Caesar salad both so big we had to get takeaway containers. Food, staff, atmosphere and the way you are regulating covid restrictions were A+. We will be back!

We love the steak sarnies here we think ther the best some of the other pubs are good to but we mostly go here and they have the best chips peeerfect.

No, Barmaid in public bar charged me $19.60 for 2 beers. She a full crack head. Food is Poor, always undercooked, dont eat the steak!

A great takeaway menu during Covid-19. Service is just as good as usual, and they haven't compromised on flavour, quality or portion sizes. Big love!

Very friendly staff that looked after our small group celebrating my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately now shut to the public due to the pandemic and my thoughts are with them and everyone in the same situation at this time.

Stayed at the Carries Arms Hotel-Motel for a work trip, the rooms were very very clean, the staff are awesome, very helpful. The meals at the bistro were delicious too!

Having been to the Carriers before, today we were very disappointed. We waited almost an hour for the Roast special (which surely would of been pre-done) and a steak sandwich. We understood it was busy and was told it was going to be half an hour. But when people who arrive after you are eating before you, you kinda wonder what is going on. It was 55 minutes wait, and we decided to leave. Sorry Carriers, you need to do better.

Does not accomodate to vegan/ vegetarian people. Only vegetarian option is 1 salad… bit ridiculous considering most places have a minimum of 3 vegetarian options (including a hot meal option). Disappointed considering you’ve had a lovely new renovation/ menu but don’t cater to everyone.

Did not see the inside of accommodation. We stopped here for lunch and were very pleased that we did.

The staff there are friendly and accommodating and the service could not be faulted although I am only there once a year for conferences would elect to stay if touring.

Very good people, highly recommend for anyone who is looking for liquor in Maryborough. Many brands, wide range of selection.

Had the biggest milkshake in the old steel milkshake holders for $5 We had trouble drinking it. Due to the size yummy.

Fraser Coast Kidney Club had a meal as well as a meeting there today. Cannot praise you high enough. Food was exquisite and the service was above and beyond anything I have experienced so far. Well done, you deserve to be shouted from the rooftops.

Friendly staff, great food — older accommodation units are basic but comfortable. Will stay/eat here on future visits to Maryborough!

We recently stopped in for lunch with the kids and tried their lunch time specials $10 omg the food was absolutely delicious me and my son had the chicken burger n chips the portions are huge and daughter is gluten and lactose intolerant so she had the steak n roast veggies with gravy the chef there is very nice and was very accomdating, the staff are all so lovely and friendly we also had coffee's and desert yummmmmmy thankyou we will be back the obriens.

Cant beat the local watering hole bottle shop, the guys there are really helpful.

I had the steak with calamari and it was cooked well. The steak was a little bit fatty but that is objective as some people like it that way. The portion size was good aswell. The only downfall was the time it took to come to the table relative to other resturaunts.

I loved the ribs and the service, I would definitely go back again.

Room overlooking drive through bottle shop, noisy refrigeration compressor on roof directly opposite room, stopped counting after 3 cockroaches in the room this morning, filthy coffee/tea/sugar storage box, room directly loading/unloading bottle shop storage area, dinner was the special pizza and could tell the nicely thawed out dry base… if you like feral pub accom go for your life.

What is not to like, great meals, bars and accomodation. Good people doing a great job. We regularly camp our drivers there overnight. Safe on street parking and good vibes.
