Good value for money. Room was clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was included in the total amount which is something not everyone offers. Cookies are a must mention. Highly recommended!

Stu&Rachel were absolutely lovely! The room was beautiful, clean and well equipped. We had a major flight delay and only used the room for a few hours, and Stu&Rachel made sure that they were well spent, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome.

A great place to stay. Close to everything you need, very easy to get to the city. The hosts are very friendly who go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Very welcoming and provided loads of info on the local area. We only stayed one night, but if we ever find ourselves back in Brisbane we will stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Kirkland house and finding this gem makes my trips to Brisbane so stress free and enjoyable. Rachel gave me a bottle of wine with some cheese and crackers to enjoy at night, which I really appreciate as a generous offer. The room was cozy and clean. It was very easy to find the way to the place from the airport. I also enjoyed substantial continental-style breakfast every morning. I like everything about this B&B, but the most outstanding is Rachel and Stuart's hospitality and kindness. Even the cats were very friendly to me! (One of them rubbed its whole body against me to greet me. ) When I get stressed out, I will definitely come back to this place to be healed again.

Myself and hubby Dick had a very wonderful and happy stay at Kirkland House B&B. After a long flight and driving there is nothing more happy than to be so warmly welcome by the host Rachel and her very neatly, tidy and clean B&B. Upon arrival we were greeted by such a beautiful and homely B&B. The decoration such as the lawn yard, the fence, the comfortable sofa at the balcony already cheered me and my whole family up. We told ourselves this is the kind of B&B we looked forward to. The bed rooms were all so clean, neat and tidy and very roomy. Its too big for a couple I believe but of course its a plus point to us. I love the fire place most in my room. It gives me the feeling like I'm in a cottage in winter, with a cup of hot coffee in the night waiting for Santa Claus to drop in through the chimney to give me my Christmas present! The breakfast each morning is so sumptuous. All nicely packed away in the fridge waiting for us every morning without fail. The freshly baked shortcake, cookies I enjoyed tremendously. Cleanliness is very important to me and Rachel's B&B cleanliness especially the toilet I would give it a 5 out of 5! It has a good location too with food mart, fast food restaurant just round the corner. I will definitely make a come back again when I visit Brisbane.

Rachel welcomed me personally after a a long trip from abroad. She was eager to offer assistance & advise about finding my way around Town — even offered me a "Go-Card" for bus-trips to top-up and use for the remainder of my stay. I had a very comfy sleep, woken by bird-song and no interruptions by anyone. I will definitely recommend Kirkland House to any future travellers to Brisbane. My fiance and I stayed here for two nights and we absolutely adored Kirkland House. The room was furnished with all facilities required, and a lavish breakfast was always laid out everyday. What really struck us was how spacious the room was, even though it was only meant for 2 people. The surroundings were tranquil too so it's perfect for light-sleepers. Rachel was a wonderful and accommodating host to us, making our stay in Brisbane truly memorable. Our only suggestion is to put out some brochures or printouts telling more about the history of the house, as that would make the stay in the century-old house more interesting especially for history buffs. We recommend this B&B to vacationing and business travellors alike.

I had a great 2 nights stay at Kirkland House B&B. The Queen room I had was very cozy, clean and comfortable. I absolutely loved the room's furnishing with the European style decor. The breakfast was splendid with a good assortment of bread, cereal, juices, coffee & tea. We always had homemade shortbread or cookies in our room too! Rachel is a great host, and always able to accommodate our requests. Though my family had arrived early (2 hours ahead of the check-in time), Rachel was so kind to open one of the rooms we booked so that we could rest, have some refreshments and drop off our luggage. Kirkland House has a good location, it is near restaurants, Mac, and the city. Will certainly come back if I'm travelling to Brisbane the next time.

Kirkland House is my home away from home — I stay 2 nights a week when working in Brisbane, and find it comfortable, spotless, the hosts friendly and accommodating and so convenient. I don't like battling the city parking problems and navigating city traffic, so Kirkland House, a two minute walk to the busway which gets you into Brisbane in 10 minutes, is perfect for me. I just leave my car parked behind the house (no parking hassles here), and walk to work at Buranda, and walk to dinner at Easts Leagues or another little restaurant down the road. The rooms are comfortable (the front rooms open on to front verandah where you can have a wine or cuppa). The single rooms at back of house are compact and cosy and perfect for one person if you want to save that little bit of money — the use of space is very clever and bathrooms are comfortable size, so you don't feel cramped. Every day you'll find a treat of homemade biscuits or cheese & bikkies waiting for you. Your room is impeccably serviced daily which is becoming rare these days even in more expensive hotels. Little things like generous continental breakfast and plenty of decent quality shampoo/conditioner and shower gel make the stay that much more pleasant. The old house has a lovely ambience — best value for money in Brisbane — you'd be paying the same at a very mediocre 3 star motel — so why would you?

I have been staying at Kirkland House B&B for 3 nights. It is close to both the PA Hospital & the Greenslopes Hospital. The Queen room that I had is well set out with a separated table & chairs for meals and a separate work desk with a lamp. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is placed in the room each day when they service the room, so you can get up and have your breakfast at a time that suits you, rather than having to be in a dining room at a certain time as is the case with many B & B, If you want you can have your breakfast or morning or afternoon tea on the veranda outside your room. I found this much better. The continental breakfast supplied is more than you require, and if you are a small eater, you can use some of it for your lunch if you want. Tim Tams or biscuits are also supplied each day for you to eat throughout the day. If you want a great place to stay, with very friendly staff and central to everything, then you can't go past the Kirkland House Bed & Breakfast. It was very cost effective with a generous continental breakfast. The staff & owners were very friendly, & it was very clean, with luxurious bedding & a comfortable authopaedic mattress.

I had a one night stay at Kirkland House early this year, Its a great place to stay is very clean and all furniture and fittings are first class and a quality bed to sleep in the rooms have everything you need including Air Conditioning. Public transport is only a few minutes walk and a short trip to the heart of the city and Southbank parklands with loads of activities for all the family. Great value for money everyone will enjoy this place.

Bed and Breakfast Kirkland House B&B Brisbane is well located — very close to transport and other Facilities. It has the most comprehensive continental breakfast that we have experienced. With its own external door and mini dining area in your room, it is very private. The house keeping is good. Errol and Sue from Perth Western Australia.

We arrived at the B&B, and as others say, it is clean. However the aircon didnt work. The host told us to turn on the fan or a heater. Windows could not be left open as there are no security/bug screens. Breakfast is basic — 1 small yogurt container for 2 people? One orange. B&B lacks attention or a womans touch.
