Very friendly staff, the rooms where small but tidy and clean, lacked any microwave or hair dryer though, I didn't eat at the restaurant but appreciate there was a small selection available for vegetarians.

The Sydney airport Bin chicken had provided a very ample place to sleep. Comfy room, however not a great difference between a bin chicken budget. Would of stayed for more nights but spent all my money on one round at the bar.

This is a 3 star hotel, it's nice enough. But the overcharging and borderline credit card fraud brings it down to zero. I've been charged 3 times for my stay and the fight to get money back has been horrendous. Badly managed.

The perfect accommodation when traveling, great shower, great bed clean and soundproof rooms, 24hour service desk, restaurant open till 10 for late eaters. Fantastic selection for breakfast. I am totally satisfied thanks ibis.

Great location very close to the Sydney Airport. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great and the staff very attentive to guests needs.

Professional staff, clean rooms, hygienic bathroom and not a single bit of noise from the airport. I enjoyed my stay and will use their services again.

Ibis hotel is great. Really great rooms, comfortable beds, inviting, nice staff… But they'll just pull a fire alarm at 12am on a Tuesday night and leave you standing in the cold with no answers for 30 minutes while the fire brigade sit outside with pounding alarms going off until they finally decide to let all 150 of you back inside at once.

The room was ok, bathroom could have been cleaner, room was small but nice linen etc. When my business partner ordered a beer, the bartender poured half a glass of Fifty Lashes then efficaciously explained that the keg was empty and asked what else he wanted. When he chose his an alternative beer, the bartender just filled the remaining amount into the same glass. — He was too polite to complain, but nowhere should ever mix beers like that. The dinner menu is very limited (approximately 4 items) and there is no room service (the bartender will rudely explain that there is no room service if you ask). But it being an airport hotel, it is disappointing that there is no 24hr meal options (or at least a restaurant that stays open after 10pm) … I understand that most Ibis hotels wouldn't do this, but people who stay here are possibly jet-lagged or delayed with no alternative for a meal. It seems to me that the staff mean well, but have obviously not received proper training.

Nice hotel, good location for. Get to the center from Mascot station and at the same time very close to the airport.

Tips: Walking distance from domestic airport (15 mins). To international Airport I recommend an Uber (12-16 AUD $). Hotel Shuttle (third party) costs 7 AUD/person Positive: good location (near airport) tidy furnishings windows allow at least one gap wide open negative: check-in: over 1 h waiting time because a canceled machine was completely housed there

Good value hotel near Sydney Domestic airport. We had a family room. Double bed and a single. It was modern and the restaurant had a nice menu and a standard breakfast buffet. Being accorplus members we got free Wi-Fi, water and a chocolate bar. We stayed one night but we were very happy with our overall experience.

The Ibis isn't too bad of a hotel. It's got your basics. Decent sized room for one or two people. Quick but small elevators. Windows that block some. Noise from the street but not all of it. No pool. Decent buffet breakfast and bar. The folks at the check in desk are good. Air-conditioning in the room is way too loud and sounds like it needs a service. Couldn't sleep with it on because it was so loud. Overall it was a decent stay but wouldn't be rushing back here. Especially at $170 a night.

Great position Best thing about this hotel is the position. A short walk to the train station for stress free travel to the city. Also shuttle bus to the airport is very regular and only $7.00 The rooms are comfy even though a little small. Stsff are great and the bar more than satisfactory.

All the staff are considerate, the rooms clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast and also the food service. He deserves three stars!

Easy to check in and out with friendly reception staff. Close to Sydney airport by shuttle bus from the hotel at minimal cost. Comfortable bed with comfortable facilities in the room. Easy to get to from the train. We were able to dine out close by at Mascot.

The Ibis Sydney Airport was a great surprise, going beyond just a place to rest and eat. Travelling from the US on into Australia, the Ibis worked really well on a number of fronts. The room was modern, well-appointed, well-planned with an efficient use of space that didn't feel at all constrained, just comfortable like the queen-sized bed. Front desk staff were efficient but friendly, helpful, and appeared to genuinely care about your guest experience. The Sydney Super Shuttle worked well both coming from and back to the airports, and the hotel's location close to metro trains was an additional bonus for the day's break from travel that we had planned. The hotel even made the problem of our excessive luggage disappear as a problem with staff help. We will definitely organise to make the Ibis Sydney Airport our go-to stopover in Sydney on our next trips.

Lives up to the IBIS experience if not better. Full breakfast a winner along with free newspapers to read. Proximity to the airport just around the corner. Staff willing to listen to the customer and accommodate their needs. Would I stay there again either by myself or family, yes definitely. I have stayed in a number of IBIS hotels both within Australia and Internationally and have never had a bad experience. It was small but spotlessly clean, cozy and modern. The restaurant was a little pricey but wonderful late at night. When we were too tired to drive anywhere. The front desk staff were very welcoming. I'd stay here again definitely. (One thing to remember… the hotel's shuttle from the airport to the hotel costs more for 2 people then a taxi does)

Staff was very friendly and the food was good in the restaurant. Hard to beat the location when you've got a morning flight. Bed was super comfy. However the room did not block out any of the construction noise from the street below. As a result I did not sleep very well. Also parking and breakfast were way too expensive.

The hotel overall was pleasant and the price for the accommodation was good, but having to pay for any extras was a bit over the top we felt. Parking should be included or at a lesser charge… not $25 per day. There was only a jug and a fridge in the small room and there was minimal space to put luggage. We could not afford to pay the restaurant prices for five days on top of the accommodation plus the parking, so not even being able to make a piece of toast made our stay more difficult. Then, another cost… to weigh our bags before we went to the airport could surely have been included in the whole experience. There was no book to explain Services. We assume this was somewhere on the TV screen, but, this you need to consider, not everyone is PC or TV literate. There still needs to be readable material available. On the Up side, the close proximity to the Train and the Airport was excellent and made it a perfect location for us to have a look around Sydney during the days we were there. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Not all could speak fluent English but the ones who could were excellent.

Friendly hotel, 10min from airport local flights.

The airport shuffle is every half hour, still working at 11pm! Helpful reception, very quiet room which we needed after 30 hours in planes! Bed very comfortable, facilities very clean. Buffet breakfast was really good. Price competitive. Will stay again whenever arrive at or need to be near Sydney domestic.

But honestly that one of the biggest hotel chains pays $10 per day for a Wi-Fi connection in a nation where you find it free even in public discharges I find it pathetic.

I was impressed by the hotel update of its facilities and service, since my wife and I stayed there, when the hotel was new — and they charged $79 per night. Check-in was quick and efficient (I was even asked if I required directions to the local train station, to continue my journey, next morning), the only issue being noise from the nearby restaurant making it difficult to hear clearly the voices of reception staff. This is a common problem for older people. The room was comfortable, the bed especially so, and the buffet breakfast tasty and comprehensive. Checkout was again, quick and efficient, but in hindsight, I regret not checking instructions on the route to Mascot train station — as, on leaving the hotel, I turned the wrong way and very nearly missed my train to the Southern Highlands. As in previous visits, I again found the Ibis Mascot Hotel a good place to rest, before continuing one's journey.

We were only in Sydney for 24 hours for a family party and the Ibis Airport was convenient for our plans. Check-in was quick and easy, the room was fine — on the small side, but for one night that was no problem. The one problem we did find was the air conditioning was pretty useless — and this was in winter — the room was really stuffy and never really did cool down. We were also woken at 7am (on a Sunday) by very loud construction work going on next door — not the hotel's fault of course, but it wasn't exactly conducive to a Sunday morning lie-in after a late night. We also enjoyed breakfast, which was great. Overall a pleasant stay for our purposes.

Looks like this store is delayed. The order information is not for the first time, the one minute of the Indian female employee is at least half an hour.

Could not thank the staff enough for all their help on Sunday evening when our flight was cancelled. They were amazing and a credit to the hotel. Jade and the other members of the team that night thank you so much, for all your help, we were so grateful.

Room smells. Expensive for a hotel not on the airport proper. Cheap plastic bathroom. Slow elevators. Comfortable bed, though.

The rooms are compact, but adequate, though the bathrooms are pod-like. I ate in the restaurant and the goat curry was surprisingly good. Good value for the price, as long as your expectations are pitched at the right level.

It's OK for the price, convenient location, no aircraft noise BUT internal pipework and noise from the hallway would upset those who need quite. The staff are always busy so not what you would class as attentive, once you get their attention they are helpful and friendly.

This airport hotel is conveniently located about 7 minutes from Mascot train station and within walking distance of the domestic airport terminal (about 10 — 15 minutes). You cannot walk to the international terminal, but there is a shuttle bus that costs $6.50 per person. The rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms are a little oddly shaped, but spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the buffet breakfast (which isn't included) isn't a great value for the price.

This place is under staff. Hotel was full the staff in restaurant are sweating running around trying to keep up, they were amazing! If you look around customers watch them feeling sorry for them!. Reception staff are all frantic where are the staff members? In the morning reception got busy and some blonde lady that served my friends and I, has absolutely no idea what she is doing! She came across unprofessional for a manager. This hotel use to be good and have a warm vibe! Clearly 'budget' hotel now! Take some money out of your pocket is what I say! The only good thing about this hotel is the food! YUM YUMM and the walk to the airport.

Walked into our room & was greeted by a strong smell of sewerage, got a new room which had stained towels, went to reception for replacement towels which also had stains! Layed down on the bed to watch TV but when you rest your head against the wall the bed suddenly pushes away from the wall as its on wheels & you end up flat on your back. No ventilation fan in the toilet so the place smells after using the toilet, water collects over the whole of the bathroom floor so if you need the toilet later your feet sit in a puddle of water. The whole experience was joke & ibis has lost us permanently as a customer. Seriously… stained towels in a $100 night room? I'd give this place no stars! NEVER AGAIN ibis!

What a dive! Shabby cramped rooms with 70's decor no payTV, roomservice, minibar (they've got vending machines in the hallways) yet its about the same price as the Rydges which has all of those things but has bigger modern rooms. Do yourself a favour and spend an extra $20 for a decent hotel.

Ive been booking rooms with Ibis Mascot for well over 4 years now, and have never had a bad experience. You can really tell all the staff a very well trained with a customer relations focus. You can tell they get a kick out of going the extra mile to make a customer happy. Yes the rooms are small, but they are always clean, always maintained and Ive never once had to wait. Ever. I take my hat off to these guys. You won me over years ago, I wont dare go elsewhere. Keep it up, and well done.

Stayed there for 2 nights recently. Chose it for its location and reasonable price. No complaints about the staff and service. Room was perhaps a bit small but I suppose you get what you pay for.

The price is reasonable, and the location is very convenient to catch the planes in the early morning and buy any food around. The room is normally queen size bed, TV and hot water. I will select that hotel on my next travel.

My experience was terrible — the staff their were all Asian and were extremely hard to understand, they also charged my card for things I did not approve — they also would not help disabled people when I asked for something to be delivered to my room despite saying on the same level as reception.
