Hotels in Montevideo with Breakfast near Telecommunications Tower

My friend and I had the great fortune to stay at Alma Historica Boutique Hotel on a recent trip to Montevideo during the first half of January 2026.

This is a lovely small hotel well located in the Cuidad Viejo and walkable to the places we wanted to see.

The location is wonderful and the room was a really good size and clean. Breakfast was good too.

It was clean, had very good heating and Good Wi-Fi. They should add safe box in the rooms. The breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And they offer free parking.

This place is amazing, really clean, rooms are pretty nice and cozy, breakfast is really complete, I only suggest for some vegan milk as an extra choice.
Employees are really friendly.

Good value for money, great location, varied breakfast. The only problem was the lift which was too slow.

The best hostel I have ever been to in my life very clean. Annette cooks better breakfast and dinner than any restaurant in all of Uruguay. The energy here was amazing.

I was here 3 separate times during my 2 week vacation in Uruguay. I was allowed to leave some bagage there free of cost because I over packed.

Every good location, just around the corner is the main shopping street, near the old town and main tourist attractions and market, bars and restaurants, an do the staff here very nice!

It is a big hotel and many things happening all the time. Many people coming and going.
Lobby was always crowed and noisy.

A lovely well positioned hotel, with helpful English speaking reception staff. Baried buffet breakfast offering. Comfortable beds and fluffy towels.

We stayed for three nights (28, 29 and 12/30/24). Hotel staff very receptive and helpful. It is in the Old Center of Montevideo where you can make many visits without needing a car.
