First 3 nights of our trip was spent in this amazing Safari Camp. Our hosts Karl and Jen were extremely competent at making us all feel so welcome but also making sure we were kept safe while getting up very close to the wildlife. Meals were wonderful and our accommodation very comfortable with unbelievable views. Where else do the Elephants come to you while relaxing in bed.

If you are looking for an adventure of a lifetime this is the place. Authentic, relaxing safari camp. Hosts Jenny and Karl along with guides Marcus and Mark are truly amazing. Nothing is too much trouble to them, with Jenny and Karl looking after the camp and Marcus and Mark guiding guests, sharing their wealth of information and knowledge. The accommodation, food, animals, people, the whole Rhino Safari Camp experience is a MUST DO, you won’t be disappointed.

I had the most amazing time at Rhino Safari Camp with such lovely hospitality from Karl and Jenny and their team. It’s been my best Kariba trip ever and the rustic cosy lodges give the best sunrise views; the food is perfect and our game drives were brilliant. I so highly recommend this little place of paradise!

For the second time we spent 3 unforgettable days with Jenny and Karl and their wonderful staff at Rhino Safari Camp. Warm family atmosphere, captivating game drives and game walks in the Matusadona (thank you so much Peter and Tatenda! ), excellent sleeping, good homemade meals, incredible views on Lake Kariba, no fence… This eco-lodge surely offers the best value for money wildlife experience one can find in the area.

We were only there for a few days but they were the most amazing few days of my life. It was a spectacular experience with very friendly and welcoming staff who made you feel right at home and the views and wildlife were simply breathtaking. My frist African safari could not have started better: lots of animals, great food, charming camp, best sleep from own bed with direct view to the fields. Staff very service minded with finesse.

Rhino Safari Camp (also known as Rhino Island Safari Camp) — An old fashioned luxury rustic bush camp situated within the Matusadona National Park on the shorelines of Lake Kariba. Guests are accommodated in seven twin bedded stilted wood and thatch chalets, each with its own en suite open air shower and flush toilet. Each chalet is on the edge of the jesse bush, facing the lake so they benefit from the cooling breeze from the water. It is not uncommon to have the wildlife walking in front and around the rooms, which allows for "close and personal" encounters with the game. Game viewing activities include drives, walks and tracking, and sunset cruises all in the company of a professional guide. For those guests who like to drop a line in the water, fishing for bream and the world renowned Tiger fish is offered, and Elephant Point is regarded as an excellent area to fish in. The Matusadona National Park is home to the Big Five (rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard and elephant) as well as a host of smaller plains game and a wealth of bird life. Rhino Safari Camp can be accessed by speed boat transfer from Kariba or from the nearby Kiplings/Rhokari and Bumi Hills airstrips. Meals are homestyle and freshly prepared at camp and meal times revolve around the game viewing needs of guests. The guide and camp manager/owner are on hand to host guests and offer them a relaxed homely environment in which to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the wilderness of the Matusadona National Park.
